    • Jayson Tatum posts 26/13/8/1 line in Game 4 win
      Jayson Tatum played 44 minutes in Monday’s 105-102 win over the Pacers, accumulating 26 points (11-of-26 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), 13 rebounds, eight assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers.

      Advice: For the third time in four games, the Celtics made more plays than the Pacers in crunch time. Tatum’s biggest play was a floater with 2:40 remaining that tied the game at 102. That would be the last scoring until Derrick White hit a three with 45 seconds remaining, and the Celtics would go on to close out the sweep. Tatum didn’t have a great night shooting the basketball on Monday and committed five turnovers, but he was productive in the rebound and assist categories.     • Thrives in fourth quarter Sunday
      Irving logged 33 points (12-20 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-8 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one steal across 42 minutes during Sunday's 116-107 victory over the Timberwolves in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

      Advice: There's a reason why people around the NBA call Irving "Mr. Fourth Quarter," and the star floor general has lived up to that nickname in Dallas' last two playoff wins. He scored 14 points in the final frame in Game 2 of the series, and he added 13 points while going 4-for-5 from the field in the final 12 minutes of Sunday's contest. Luka Doncic continues to lead the Mavericks offensively, but Irving is thriving when the team needs him the most and has been an outstanding second option on offense so far in these playoffs.     • Mike Conley hits four 3-pointers, scores 16 points
      Mike Conley amassed 16 points (6-of-11 FGs), one rebound, four assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 31 minutes in Sunday’s Game 3 loss to the Mavericks.

      Advice: Due to a strained soleus muscle, Conley is playing at less than full strength. However, give the veteran point guard credit for pushing through the injury, as he had another efficient performance in Game 3. The issue is that the Timberwolves don’t have a good matchup for Conley on the defensive end of the floor. The calf injury keeps him from being effective in guarding Luka Doncic or Kyrie Irving, and forwards Derrick Jones Jr. and PJ Washington are too big. Nickeil Alexander-Walker (3/2/3 with one 3-pointer in 20 minutes) and Kyle Anderson (10 points, three assists, and two blocks in 17 minutes) may have to do a little more in Game 4 on Tuesday, but it won’t matter if the Timberwolves don’t get better play from Karl-Anthony Towns.       Kyrie Irving played 42 minutes in Sunday’s 116-107 win over Minnesota, tallying 33 points (12-of-20 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers.

      Advice: Dallas has the proven “closers” in this series, while Minnesota doesn’t. Irving scored 14 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter, combining with Luka Doncic to lead the Mavericks to a 3-0 series lead. Teams that have won the first three games of a best-of-7 series are 154-0 all-time, so it may be a matter of “when” the Mavericks reach the finals for the first time since 2011 instead of “if.” Also, Irving is 14-0 in his NBA postseason career in close-out games.       Turner racked up 22 points (9-16 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds and one assist over 39 minutes during Saturday's 114-111 loss to the Celtics in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

      Advice: Turner was one of the players who needed to step up offensively in Game 3, and he delivered another solid stat line, but the Pacers crumbled down the stretch and had to settle for another loss.       Tatum contributed 36 points (12-23 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 7-11 FT), 10 rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and one steal in 44 minutes during Saturday's 114-111 victory over the Pacers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

      Advice: Tatum came through every time the Celtics needed him in this hard-fought Game 3 victory. Aside from leading Boston in scoring, he also finished two assists away from recording a triple-double. Tatum has been improving with each passing round and has been on an absolute tear of late, surpassing the 30-point mark in four of his last six appearances while averaging 31.7 points per game in the current series against Indiana.     • Myles Turner finishes Game 3 loss with 22 points
      Myles Turner logged 39 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Celtics, finishing with 22 points (9-of-16 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), 10 rebounds, and one assist.

      Advice: While Turner shot the ball well from the field overall, there were some glaring deficiencies in his final stat line. The Pacers center missed all three of his 3-point attempts and failed to record a blocked shot for the second straight game. Indiana’s 3-point shooting is more concerning, as they were 5-of-22 in Game 3, and the Celtics outscored them by a 48-15 margin from deep. Not having Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) on the court impacted the quality of looks the Pacers could generate from three. And this could remain an issue in Game 4 if Haliburton cannot play.       Advice: Tatum was outstanding in Game 3, as the Celtics rallied back from 18 down to take a commanding 3-0 series lead. He’s scored 36 points in two of the series’ first three games, but Saturday’s effort was the first this postseason in which Tatum also shot at least 50% from the field.
