  • Donatas Motiejunas solid off the bench
Donatas Motiejunas finished with 13 points and eight rebounds over 19 minutes in Sunday's game against the Nuggets.

Advice: Motiejunas was leaned upon a little more heavily with DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) sidelined and the game out of hand for most of the second half. He entered the game with a total of 29 minutes played across six games and just four points, so don't get terribly excited about this output. Unless Cousins is forced to miss more time Motiejunas is only worth a look in the deepest of fantasy leagues. 32 minutes ago
  • Dante Cunningham doesn't do much in start
Dante Cunningham finished with six points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots in 31 minutes against the Nuggets on Sunday.

Advice: Cunningham was making the start with DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) sidelined. He is only worth a look in the very deepest of seasonal fantasy leagues even if he makes another start in place of Cousins, as he has a low usage rate even in a starting role. However, he is worth a roll of the dice as a low-priced DFS option if he makes another start. 41 minutes ago
  • Jae Crowder helps C's vault to top of East
Jae Crowder connected on 8-of-13 from the field to finish with 25 points, six rebounds, two steals, two blocked shots and an assist in 36 minutes Sunday against the Heat.

Advice: Crowder has been a big part of Boston's resurgence, as they pulled into a tie with the Cleveland Cavaliers atop the Eastern Conference standings. The former Marquette star, who was drafted, ironically, by the Cavs in the second round in 2012, is averaging 17.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game over his past six outings. Today, 6:29 pm
  • Amir Johnson very accurate from floor
Amir Johnson hit all six of his field goal attempts in Sunday's 112-108 win against the Heat, finishing with 14 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in 27 minutes.

Advice: Johnson was up for this game, hitting his only 3-pointer attempt and converting his only try from the free throw stripe, too. Don't get terribly carried away by his performance, however, as it was just his third double-digit point total of March and fourth time eclipsing 10 points over the past 22 contests. His fantasy appeal remains limited to the deepest of formats despite his inclusion in the starting five. Today, 6:23 pm
  • Paul George scores 21 points in win vs Philly
Paul George scored a team-high 21 points to help Indy snap a two-game losing streak on Sunday, making 7-of-17 FGs and 6-of-8 FTs with eight boards, three assists and one 3-pointer.

Advice: PG-13 got more help than usual tonight with six teammates in double-digits, which has to be sweet relief. "If I have to put up 30 shots to win, I'll put up 30 shots to win," he said recently. "When I go off I'm looked at as the ball-stopper or the ball-hogger ... so within games I try to move the ball and get other guys the ball. And when that doesn't work I get labeled as the lone wolf." Whatever else he might be called, fantasy owners call him a stud. Today, 6:22 pm
  • Thaddeus Young awful in 13 minutes Sunday
Thaddeus Young had a terrible night on Sunday, going 0-of-7 from the field and 2-of-2 from the line to score two points in 13 minutes.

Advice: Thad chipped in two rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block, but that isn't enough to compensate for his lousy shooting tonight. He missed multiple layups and it seems like his wrist is still bothering him, even though he said recently that it's "feeling better." The Pacers need him to start knocking down shots if they hope to advance deep into the playoffs -- Paul George can't do it alone. Today, 6:18 pm
  • Dario Saric shoots 3-of-15 in loss to Indiana
Dario Saric went just 3-of-15 from the field on Sunday, finishing a loss vs. the Pacers with nine points, 10 rebounds, one assist and four turnovers in 28 minutes.

Advice: Sixers coach Brett Brown said that Saric has been able to "figure out the NBA quicker than [he] thought," and he's peaking at a perfect moment for fantasy owners. "When I start to shoot well, I can play easy," Saric said. "I can do good things here in the NBA." Tonight's quiet game was atypical and he's going to be on plenty of winning fantasy squads. He won't come cheap on draft day next season. Today, 6:15 pm
  • Willie Reed accurate from the floor
Willie Reed finished with seven points and six rebounds in Sunday's 112-108 win against the Celtics.

Advice: Reed hit all three of his field goal attempts over 18 minutes off the bench. That's about the most you can expect from Reed, however, as he won't see much more playing time as long as Hassan Whiteside is healthy and doing his thing. Today, 6:03 pm
  • Derrick Favors (knee) ruled out for Monday
Derrick Favors (left knee bone bruise) has been ruled out for Monday's game vs. New Orleans.

Advice: Favors shot around on Friday but the fact that he's been ruled out a day in advance doesn't bode well. He's had multiple setbacks this season and Utah isn't going to take any chances, as the goal is to have him healthy for the postseason. He's unlikely to be a fantasy asset down the stretch. Today, 5:54 pm
  • Taj Gibson scores 12 pts on 6-of-7 shooting
Taj Gibson made 6-of-7 shots for 12 points on Sunday, adding four rebounds, one assist and one steal in a mere 17 minutes of action.

Advice: OKC was forced to stick with smaller lineups against the run-and-gun Rockets today, which limited Taj's opportunities. He's averaging just 21.9 minutes with OKC and that number hasn't increased much as a starter, so he can be left untouched in most leagues. Today, 4:34 pm
  • Clint Capela scores 11 points with two blocks
Clint Capela produced 11 points, nine rebounds, one steal, two blocks and one turnovers in 22 minutes during Sunday's 137-125 win over the Thunder.

Advice: The Rockets obliterated the Thunder in every aspect of the game, putting up 80 points on 71.4 percent shooting through the first half of action, which set season-highs in both those categories. Capela probably would have played more if the game weren't such a blowout, but he still got the job done for his owners. Today, 4:07 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver scores 15 points w/ five 3s
Anthony Tolliver returned from a rest day to finish Sunday's thrilling comeback victory with 15 points 5-of-6 shooting, with all of his attempts coming from downtown.

Advice: Tolliver added three rebounds and one block in 23 minutes of action tonight. He's going to get occasional DNP-CDs down the stretch, even if the Kings don't eventually shut him down, which makes him undesirable even as a 3-point specialist. Today, 3:59 pm
  • Dante Cunningham starts for DeMarcus (ankle)
Dante Cunningham will start vs. the Nuggets on Sunday.

Advice: DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) has been ruled out tonight, so Cunningham should get significant minutes. He sports an extremely low usage rate, however, and even as a fill-in starter he hasn't done much to merit fantasy owners' attention. Today, 3:45 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) out Sunday vs. DEN
DeMarcus Cousins (right ankle sprain) will not play vs. the Nuggets on Sunday.

Advice: Dante Cunningham will start and Solomon Hill stands to benefit from Cousins' absence, while both Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday will also have less competition for usage. Cousins was essentially a game-time decision tonight, so there's a chance he'll return vs. the Jazz on Monday. Check back for updates after New Orleans' shootaround, assuming they hold one in the second half of a back-to-back set. Today, 3:40 pm
  • Greg Monroe scores 16 points in 26 minutes
Greg Monroe finished Sunday's game with 16 points, four rebounds and two assists, going 7-of-13 from the field in 26 minutes off the bench.

Advice: John Henson (sprained thumb) was out today and could miss a few more games based on his original timetable of at least one week, leaving Monroe with an easier path to playing time. He's a top-100 player in most formats, but his upside has been capped all season due to limited minutes. Hopefully he'll step up in the Bucks' next few games. Today, 3:20 pm
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo scores 22 pts in defeat
Giannis Antetokounmpo posted 22 points (8-of-14 FGs, 6-of-10 FTs) with eight rebounds, four assists and three turnovers during Sunday's home loss to the Bulls.

Advice: Antetokounmpo was solid offensively but he lost Nikola Mirotic on multiple defensive possessions, which is part of the reason Mirotic blew up for a game-high 28 points. It was only the Bucks' third loss in their past 14 games, but they can't be complacent with three games separating them from the No. 10 seed Pistons. Today, 3:18 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic stays hot w/ 28 points, six 3s
Nikola Mirotic sank 11-of-14 shots vs. Milwaukee on Sunday, tying his season high with 28 points to go along with six 3-pointers, eight rebounds and one assist in 35 minutes.

Advice: Mirotic is averaging 23.7 points in his past three games, showing some offensive consistency at the end of a maddeningly up-and-down season. He's had strong finishes before in his career and is playing with visible confidence, so you might as well deploy him and hope he stays hot. Just don't be surprised if he posts the occasional dud over Chicago's final eight games. Today, 3:14 pm
  • Alex Len scores eight in 22 minutes
Alex Len scored eight points with three rebounds and one block against the Hornets on Sunday.

Advice: He's been able to keep his fouls down for the most part and he's actually had a strong five games. In those losses, he averaged 10.6 points, 7.6 boards, 1.8 blocks and 0.4 steals. Alan Williams is the preferred player here, but Len is still someone to consider for those looking to bolster points, boards and blocks. Today, 12:56 pm
  • Jared Dudley puts up another good game
Jared Dudley scored 12 points with two rebounds, five assists and two 3-pointers against the Hornets on Sunday.

Advice: He's playing arguably his best ball since November and the Suns not having depth is a big reason why. The Suns do want Dragan Bender (ankle) to return at some point this year and the rookie is doing some on-court work, so that casts some doubt on Dudley the rest of the way. Today, 12:44 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver back in action on Sunday
Anthony Tolliver will return vs. the Clippers on Sunday.

Advice: Tolliver was rested on Friday, along with Darren Collison, but both of those guys are active for today's game. Meanwhile, both Kosta Koufos and Arron Afflalo are getting the night off. This is going to be standard operating procedure the rest of the way for Sacramento's veterans. Today, 12:23 pm
  • Michael Beasley (knee) may practice next week
Michael Beasley (left knee) could resume practicing next week, according to coach Jason Kidd.

Advice: Beasley has "made progress" while the Bucks were away on an extended road trip, and the "plan" is to have him playing before the end of the regular season. That would be great news for the Bucks' depth, but it's unlikely to impact many fantasy rosters. Today, 11:42 am
  • Larry Sanders headed to the D-League
Larry Sanders is headed down for a D-League stint.

Advice: He hasn't managed to contribute a single statistic to the box score through his four minutes of total playing time, so he'll get some reps with Cleveland's D-League squad. Unless something catastrophic happens to Cleveland's frontcourt, Sanders won't have any fantasy value this year. Today, 11:21 am
  • Ryan Anderson to miss at least 5 games?
Ryan Anderson (ankle) is expected to miss at least the next five games for the Rockets.

Advice: He will not play on Sunday vs. the Thunder or Tuesday vs. the Warriors, and he's not expected to travel on their three-game road trip after those two games. The Rockets were "relieved" by the test results on Anderson's ankle, and they believe he will return before the end of the regular season. Based on this timetable, the earliest we would see him back is on Apr. 5 vs. the Nuggets, but that seems like a stretch -- coach Mike D'Antoni hinted that he would miss closer to two weeks. In the meantime, Lou Williams, Eric Gordon and Sam Dekker will likely see a bump in minutes. Today, 10:48 am
  • Jeff Green (back spasms) ruled out Monday
Jeff Green (back spasms) will not play on Monday vs. the Raptors.

Advice: He's not even making the trip and this will be his third straight game on the shelf. With the Magic playing for lottery balls, it wouldn't be a surprise if the veteran missed more time. Mario Hezonja is getting a nice bump in minutes in Green's absence, but he's only worth keeping an eye on in deeper leagues for now. Today, 10:34 am
    New Player Note
    Jeff Green Orl - SG,SF,PF
  • Kosta Koufos will rest on Sunday
Kosta Koufos will rest on Sunday vs. the Clippers.

Advice: This is the front end of a back-to-back set, meaning Koufos should be good for Monday's game vs. the Grizzlies. He's going to be rested way too much to help fantasy owners going forward. Skal Labissiere and Georgios Papagiannis should get a nice bump with Koufos out, but Labissiere is the better fantasy option. Today, 9:29 am
  • DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) is a game-time call
DeMarcus Cousins (right ankle sprain) is a game-time call vs. the Nuggets on Sunday.

Advice: He didn't go through the morning shootaround, but he will do everything he can to play in tonight's must-win game -- the Pelicans trail the Nuggets (No. 8 seed) by 5.0 games. If Boogie can't go, Dante Cunningham and Solomon Hill will get a bump, but they aren't great options in fantasy. Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis will get a nice usage bump as well if Boogie sits. Today, 9:21 am
  • Paul Millsap's (knee) MRI comes back clean
An MRI on Paul Millsap's left knee came back clean according to Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer.

Advice: Millsap has already been ruled out for the fourth straight game on Sunday vs. the Nets, but based on Budenholzer's comments, the All-Star forward is likely day-to-day. His injury was previously described as "tightness" in his left knee, but Budenholzer added that he has some swelling as well. He should be considered questionable for Tuesday's game vs. the Suns. Ersan Ilyasova will continue to be the primary beneficiary in his absence. Today, 8:32 am
  • Ryan Anderson (ankle) likely out Tuesday
Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said Ryan Anderson will "probably" be out for Tuesday's game against the Warriors.

Advice: "I hate it for Ryan," D'Antoni said. "I hate that he's not here. But we have enough to cover it up." Anderson has already been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Thunder and he currently doesn't have a timetable to return. With Anderson out, the Rockets will likely have to play more small ball with Trevor Ariza at the four, and D'Antoni mentioned that Lou Williams, Eric Gordon and Sam Dekker will likely see a bump in minutes. Today, 7:39 am
  • Larry Sanders was signed by CLE on Saturday March 25. Yesterday, 11:45 pm
  • Noel doesn't have a great start to experiment
Nerlens Noel scored three points in 25 minutes as a starter against the Raptors on Saturday, adding eight rebounds and one block.

Advice: Not a great start to the experiment. The Mavs want to figure out what Noel can do on the offensive end and how he can develop with Seth Curry, but it'll definitely be a work in progress with Curry not having the same PNR experience as his bro, Stephen. Still, Noel should be a lot better than this and should be starting in all standard leagues. Yesterday, 9:01 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) questionable Sunday
DeMarcus Cousins (right ankle sprain) is questionable to play against the Nuggets on Sunday.

Advice: This may have been sustained late in the game when he had some contact with Ryan Anderson. Cousins did finish the game and played the entire fourth quarter. We should have an update at shootaround, but there's a decent chance Boogie can give it a go. If not, Dante Cunningham and Solomon Hill should benefit. Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis would do the heavy lifting, of course. Yesterday, 6:40 pm
  • Mavs in 'experimental mode' on Noel at C
Coach Rick Carlisle said the Mavs are in "experimental mode" with Nerlens Noel as a starting center.

Advice: In addition to Carlisle saying the Mavs "need" to look at Seth Curry as a PG, he added he wants to see how Curry and Noel go together. Noel did have a strong game on Thursday, so he should be getting some good run as the Mavs figure out where he is as a roll man with a 3-pointers guy. He should be starting in all formats tonight. Yesterday, 4:11 pm
  • Paul Millsap, Kent Bazemore out vs. Nets
Paul Millsap (knee) and Kent Bazemore (knee) will not play against the Nets on Sunday.

Advice: Millsap will now miss at least one week for his knee tightness. The Hawks are a disaster without Millsap and have lost all six games without him this season. His fantasy owners will have a decision on their hands for the upcoming week, but he is day-to-day. With him out, Tim Hardaway Jr. will continue to be a main option while Taurean Prince and Thabo Sefolosha get some added run. Yesterday, 2:03 pm
  • Ryan Anderson (ankle) ruled out for Sunday
Ryan Anderson (sprained right ankle) has been ruled out of Sunday's game vs. the Thunder.

Advice: This news is not surprisingly. Anderson appeared to badly sprained his ankle Friday night when he landed on the foot of DeMarcus Cousins. At this point, it is unknown if Anderson will miss additional game(s) after Sunday, but the Rockets won't place too much importance on a few relatively meaningless regular season contests with the playoffs less than three weeks away. Eric Gordon may be inserted into the starting lineup on Sunday, with Trevor Ariza sliding to power forward. Sam Dekker will also see an uptick in minutes. Yesterday, 10:43 am
  • Ryan Anderson (ankle) uncertain for Sunday
Ryan Anderson (ankle) would not rule himself out of Sunday's game vs. OKC, but it appears he is unlikely to play.

Advice: Anderson sprained his right ankle in the second half of Friday's win over New Orleans. The Rockets are essentially locked into the three seed; thus, it makes sense to assume their focus will be on getting their roster as healthy as possible for the postseason. If Anderson does not play on Sunday, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle believes that the Rockets will likely start Trevor Ariza as the power forward and move Eric Gordon into the starting lineup. Yesterday, 8:32 am
  • Kosta Koufos scores two points
Kosta Koufos scored two points with two rebounds, one assist and one block in 14 minutes against the Warriors on Friday.

Advice: He'll get more rest going forward and there is just no upside in fantasy right now. Even if you're in a 40-man league, go pick up someone else. The Kings may even shut him down to look more at their youth. Friday, 11:48 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins scores 29 points
DeMarcus Cousins scored 29 points with six rebounds, four assists, four blocks, one steal and five 3-pointers against the Rockets on Friday.

Advice: It looks like all is right in the Boogie world. With one of his techs getting rescinded, he hasn't picked up a tech since his last one-game suspension, and his numbers have climbed since he missed Mar. 17 due to an injury. In those three games, Cousins averaged 28.3 points, 11.3 boards, 3.3 assists, 2.0 steals, 2.3 blocks and 3.7 treys. Sure, small sample size matters here, but this is still very impressive after such a rough start. Friday, 11:13 pm
  • Dario Saric scores career-high 32 points
Dario Saric scored a career-high 32 points during a 117-107 win over the Bulls on Friday, adding 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Advice: The Homie Dario just will not let up. As he has all season, coach Brett Brown talked up his future Rookie of the Year. "When you can find someone that competes at his level and also has a selfless side, that's a hell of a package," Brown said. When the 76ers add so much talent to their roster next year, it'll be very interesting to see how Brown uses Dario. Until then, Saric's fantasy owners can just enjoy the ride. Friday, 11:03 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic scores 15 points
Nikola Mirotic scored 15 points with four rebounds, two assists and four 3-pointers in 27 minutes against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: He seems to have his minutes locked down, but it's never a lock when coach Fred Hoiberg is calling the shots. The Bulls continue to be attacked relentlessly inside and some of that is on Mirotic. He's playing well enough to be owned in standard leagues, but just know the bad games are coming. Friday, 10:25 pm
  • Greg Monroe double-doubles vs. Hawks
Greg Monroe double-doubled vs. the Hawks on Friday with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Advice: He finished 7-of-15 from the field with three assists in 26 minutes. The Bucks have been missing John Henson (ankle) for the last two games, but surprisingly, Monroe's minutes haven't gone up. Instead, Thon Maker has seen a slight uptick and Spencer Hawes has entered the rotation. Monroe is still worth deploying in standard leagues and just needs 24+ minutes to help his owners. Friday, 9:23 pm
  • Paul George scores 27 points in loss
Paul George scored 27 points with nine rebounds, three assists, three steals, one block and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Nuggets during a 125-117 loss on Friday.

Advice: After the game, George said he's OK with being a "lone wolf" in the offense when he's going strong. George has seen his usage rate climb to 33.5 in his last five games, including 36.1 in the fourth quarter. George has also been extremely efficient with a 77.7 true shooting percentage in that fourth quarter time, so the Pacers should be leaning on him big time. George looks poised for a big finish as the Pacers look to fight for playoff seeding. Friday, 9:21 pm
  • Giannis scores 34 w/ 13 boards, five dimes
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 34 points with 13 rebounds, five assists, three blocks, two steals and one triple in Friday's 100-97 win over the Hawks.

Advice: He was unconscious in the first quarter, racking up 17 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three blocks, one steal and a triple in 12 minutes. He was coming off a monster 32-point game on Wednesday and is now the first Bucks player with 30 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in consecutive games since Terry Cummings in 1985. The Greek Freak slowed down a bit in March, but he's rolling again and should finish the season as a top-3 fantasy asset. Friday, 9:03 pm
  • Ryan Anderson with badly swollen ankle
Ryan Anderson (right ankle) had a badly swollen ankle after Friday's game.

Advice: He sprained his right ankle after stepping on Cousins' foot and went straight to the locker room in the second half. Anderson said it's too soon to know about how much time he'll miss, but it didn't sound positive about playing against OKC on Sunday. If he's out, the Rockets will be rolling with more multiple-guard lineups and Sam Dekker should see some extra minutes. If you want to drop Ryno, it makes sense. Friday, 8:16 pm
  • Jared Dudley hands out 10 dimes
Jared Dudley matched his career-high 10 dimes against the Celtics on Friday, adding six points, four rebounds and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes.

Advice: He shockingly had six assists in the final 14 minutes to help get Devin Booker going. The Suns need bodies out there, so Dudley should continue to play minutes in the 20s. He's still not going to be worth owning in most leagues. Plus, maybe Dragan Bender comes back. Friday, 7:46 pm
  • Kosta Koufos starting vs. the Warriors
Kosta Koufos is starting vs. the Warriors on Friday.

Advice: Koufos was rested on Wednesday vs. the Bucks, but should see his normal workload tonight. We still like Skal Labissiere's outlook going forward and Koufos could get more DNPs down the stretch, so Koufos belongs on the wire in standard leagues. Friday, 7:16 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver will rest on Friday
Anthony Tolliver will rest on Friday vs. the Warriors.

Advice: The Kings are calling it "planned rest," so expect Tolliver to be back in action on Sunday. With Tolliver out, Skal Labissiere should get a nice bump in minutes tonight. Friday, 5:45 pm
  • Jeff Green (back) ruled out Friday vs. DET
Jeff Green (back spasms) will not play Friday vs. the Pistons.

Advice: This is the second straight game Green has missed due to low back pain. Mario Hezonja is expected to soak up the majority of minutes left behind by Green. Hezonja played 23 minutes on Wednesday, scoring eight points and grabbing seven rebounds. Friday, 2:24 pm
    New Player Note
    Jeff Green Orl - SG,SF,PF
  • Sanders not likely for minutes
Coach Tyronn Lue said he had no plans to use Larry Sanders in meaningful minutes on Friday night against the Hornets.

Advice: The Cavs are on the front end of a back-to-back set and play the Wizards on Saturday night, so there is absolutely a chance for rest tonight. Still, Sanders likely won't be making an impact until the last week of the regular season. Friday, 1:35 pm
  • Derrick Favors (knee) still out for Saturday
Derrick Favors (knee) will not play against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: The good news is he was doing some shooting at practice on Friday. Favors' bone bruise has kept him out since Mar. 7 and the Jazz aren't in a rush to bring him back, especially after he said he was playing on one leg earlier this month. The last time the Jazz played the Clips on Mar. 13, Boris Diaw got the start in the win. Joe Johnson may come off the bench, but he's still the better DFS play. Friday, 12:26 pm
  • Jeff Green (back spasms) a GTD for Friday
Coach Frank Vogel said that Jeff Green (back spasms) will be a game-time decision on Friday night vs. Detroit.

Advice: Green did not play on Wednesday due to the back issue. With Green sidelined, Mario Hezonja logged 23 minutes, finishing with eight points and seven rebounds. Mario would likely see 20-plus minutes again on Friday if Green is unable to play. Friday, 8:23 am
    New Player Note
    Jeff Green Orl - SG,SF,PF
  • Nikola Mirotic determined to salvage season
Nikola Mirotic said he is determined to salvage this season with a strong finish.

Advice: "All season it was going a little bit up and down, but it's not how you start a season, it's how you finish it," Mirotic said. "For me, it's very important to have a strong finish." He is coming off a season-high 28 points on Wednesday, but fantasy owners have learned the hard way that it is perilous to trust Mirotic. He has not scored more than 15 points in consecutive games since the third and fourth games of the season. Friday, 7:40 am
  • Nerlens Noel puts up big stat line
Nerlens Noel scored eight points with 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks against the Clippers on Thursday.

Advice: That's more like it. Noel played terrific defense on Blake Griffin throughout this game, so that should help coach Rick Carlisle play him big minutes. He only played 19.0 minutes per game over his last three, but now that should change after this important win. Noel should start trending up and flirt with early-round value. Thursday, 9:02 pm
  • Alex Len double-doubles in loss to Brooklyn
Alex Len finished with 11 points (on 4-of-6 shooting), 11 rebounds, two steals and two blocks in 25 minutes in a blowout loss to the Nets on Thursday.

Advice: This was the second straight double-double for Lin, who tallied 12 points and 11 boards on Tuesday. At the advanced age of 23, Len was actually the oldest starter for the Suns on Thursday. With T.J. Warren (foot) ruled out, Phoenix rolled out the youngest starting lineup in NBA history, according to Elias Sports Bureau. The average age of Devin Booker, Marquese Chriss, Tyler Ulis, Derrick Jones Jr. and Len is just 21 years, 14 days. Thursday, 8:19 pm
  • Nerlens Noel starting; Yogi Ferrell to bench
Nerlens Noel will start and Yogi Ferrell will come off the bench against the Clippers on Thursday.

Advice: The Mavs will go with Noel as a start for just the second time. He blew up for 15 points and 17 boards in his first start, so hopefully coach Rick Carlisle plays him more than his 17 minutes from Tuesday. Get him in your lineup. Thursday, 5:36 pm
  • Paul Millsap (knee) ruled out for Friday
Paul Millsap (knee) will not play on Friday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: This will be his fourth game in a row on the shelf and it's not a good sign that he isn't traveling with the team. Atlanta's next game is on Sunday vs. the 14-56 Nets, so his owners are in a tough spot. With Millsap out, Ersan Ilyasova is worth streaming if you need a bump in points, rebounds and triples. Thursday, 7:51 am
  • Mavericks were cautious with Noel in blowout
Dallas coach Rick Carlisle said Nerlens Noel only played 17 minutes vs. the Warriors on Tuesday due to the blowout.

Advice: "[Noel] did a lot of good things [Tuesday] night, but I’m not going to play a guy coming off a sore knee meaningless minutes in a blowout," Carlisle said. "So if you’re asking for garbage minutes, that ain’t gonna happen." Carlisle added that Noel's knee is "doing really well," and it's worth noting that he should be looking at a nice workload on Thursday vs. DeAndre Jordan and the Clippers. He's averaging 9.5 points and 7.1 rebounds and 22.5 minutes through 10 games with the Mavs, but he should start trending up soon. Thursday, 6:25 am
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo scores 32 points in win
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 32 points in a 116-98 win at Sacramento on Wednesday, adding 13 rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block, one 3-pointer and no turnovers.

Advice: It's just the second time this month he's hit the 30-point mark, and Antetokounmpo scored at least 20 points in just two of his previous six games. The Bucks finally had their six-game road trip end and they'll be heading back home this weekend. Antetokounmpo is much better at home with a 54.0 field goal percentage with better averages in points, boards, steals, blocks and threes at home compared to being on the road. After a down couple weeks, Giannis should go back to being a top-three guy going forward. Wednesday, 10:24 pm
  • Paul George scores 37 points in loss to BOS
Paul George scored 37 points in a 109-100 loss to the Celtics on Wednesday, adding five rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block and five 3-pointers.

Advice: After a down February with only 17.8 points per game, George is on a roll in March. Even before this explosion, he was averaging 25.7 points, 7.7 boards, 3.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.0 treys in his previous 10 outings. George gets another friendly matchup against Denver on Friday, so he may be flirting with 40 for that game, as well. Wednesday, 8:09 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic scores 28 pts on 12-of-18 FGs
Nikola Mirotic went off for a season-high 28 points on Wednesday, going 12-of-15 from the field with four 3-pointers, five rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block and just one turnover in 39 minutes.

Advice: We got the 'good' Mirotic tonight, as opposed to the guy who shot a combined 14-of-42 from the field (33.3 percent) in his previous four games. He's averaging just 4.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.9 blocks in March, while shooting 37.0 percent from the field. Tonight's game is a vivid reminder of his upside, but as every former Mirotic owner already knows, he's wildly inconsistent. Caveat emptor. Wednesday, 7:40 pm
  • Kosta Koufos (rest) will not play Wednesday
Kosta Koufos (rest) will not play Wednesday against the Bucks.

Advice: It's a home game for the Kings, so they'll give their fans a look at the youth today. Georgios Papagiannis had a productive weekend on the road and should be looking at minutes in the 20s. He's a sneaky guy to use in fantasy, especially with how the Kings are giving him the ball. Koufos is not worth owning in most fantasy leagues anymore. Wednesday, 4:46 pm
  • Hawks will make decision on Millsap Thursday
Head coach Mike Budenholzer said that Atlanta will make a decision as to whether Paul Millsap (knee) will join the team in Milwaukee for Friday's game on Thursday morning.

Advice: Budenholzer hinted on Monday that Millsap's absence could extend beyond two games (Monday and Wednesday), so we'll have to wait for the next official update on Thursday morning. With Millsap on the sidelines tonight, Ersan Ilyasova will earn another start and there will be some increased opportunity for guys like Tim Hardaway Jr. and Taurean Prince. Wednesday, 4:05 pm
  • Derrick Favors (knee) ruled out for Wednesday
Derrick Favors (left knee bone contusion) has been ruled out of Wednesday's game vs. the Knicks.

Advice: Favors has not played since March 6th and is considered out indefinitely. There is a chance he returns before the end of the regular season, but he will be on a minutes restriction if/when he does. This time of year, when roster spots are so valuable, he belongs on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues without an IR spot. Wednesday, 8:44 am
  • Jeff Green (back) will not play Wednesday
Coach Frank Vogel said that Jeff Green (back spasms) has been ruled out of Wednesday night's game vs. the Hornets.

Advice: This will be just the third game Green has missed all season. However, he has apparently played through back spasms intermittently. Green had been averaging 17.5 minutes per game off the Magic's bench in March. Mario Hezonja will likely soak up the majority of the extra minutes available on Wednesday. Wednesday, 8:14 am

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo scores 22 in big win
Giannis Antetokounmpo hit 8-of-21 shots for 22 points, eight rebounds, three assists, a steal and two blocks in 36 minutes of Tuesday's 93-90 win over the Blazers.

Advice: Giannis tweaked an ankle on Saturday, but was never really in jeopardy of missing this game. This was a huge win for the Bucks, who now sit just 1/2 game in front of the No. 8 seeded Heat. This is good news for his owners, as the Bucks are going to need everything he has to offer in order to ensure the Bucks make the playoffs. Tuesday, 10:05 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins drops 41 w/ monster line
DeMarcus Cousins dropped 41 points in a 95-82 win over the Grizzlies on Tuesday, adding 17 rebounds, two assists, two steals, three blocks and five 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

Advice: This was easily his best game with the Pelicans as he shot 14-of-27 from the field and 8-of-9 from the line. He became just the second player since '83 with 41+ points, 17+ rebounds and 5+ triples, and the first since Kevin Love did it in 2010. The Pelicans trail the No. 8 seed (Denver) by 3.5 games, so expect him to keep playing through some minor ailments -- he missed Friday's game with a right rib contusion and a knee issue. Tuesday, 8:51 pm
  • Nerlens Noel plays 17 minutes in ugly loss
Nerlens Noel played just 17 minutes and finished with 14 points, seven rebounds and a block in Tuesday's blowout 112-87 loss to the Warriors.

Advice: Noel was quiet on Sunday against the Nets and failed to score, and then was the victim of the blowout tonight. He should be fine going forward, as long as he's healthy enough to play. Tuesday, 8:48 pm
  • Willie Reed scores 12 in 17 minutes of win
Willie Reed came off the bench and played 17 minutes on Tuesday, finishing with 12 points and seven rebounds on 4-of-5 shooting.

Advice: Hassan Whiteside suffered a hand laceration that required stitches tonight and if he's going to miss Thursday's game, Reed could be thrust into the starting lineup and heavy minutes. He's more of a DFS option if that happens, but he might also be worth a one-game flier in a daily league if Whiteside is out. Tuesday, 8:15 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic scores eight points
Nikola Mirotic scored eight points on 2-of-7 shooting vs. the Raptors on Tuesday.

Advice: That's two duds in a row after his incredible three-game stretch. Mirotic is as streaky as they come, so he's going to a boom-or-bust fantasy option the rest of the way. The good news for his owners is that Bobby Portis (nine points in 21 minutes) wasn't much better. Mirotic added two rebounds, two assists and two triples in 26 minutes. The Bulls play three more times this week. Tuesday, 8:00 pm
  • Alex Len double-doubles without Big Sauce
Alex Len played 36 minutes and hit 5-of-13 shots for 12 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks in Tuesday's loss to the Heat.

Advice: Alan Williams missed this one with an illness so Len was the man in the middle and came through with a solid line. But Williams has been outplaying him from the bench and should be back sooner than later. Tuesday, 7:57 pm
  • Antetokounmpo (ankle) starting vs. Blazers
Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) is starting vs. the Blazers on Tuesday.

Advice: He tweaked his right ankle while blocking Draymond Green's shot on Saturday, but wasn't listed on the injury report and should be fine. We'll let you know how he fares after the game. Tuesday, 7:00 pm
  • Giannis tweaks ankle in Saturday's loss
Giannis Antetokounmpo tweaked his right ankle while blocking Draymond Green's shot on Saturday and immediately left the game.

Advice: He scored just nine points in the blowout loss and played 31 minutes, but the injury doesn't appear to be serious. We expect him to play on Tuesday night, but owners of the Greek Freak should watch for injury updates prior to game time in order to be certain he's playing tonight. Tuesday, 3:08 am
  • Clint Capela continues to shoot well
Clint Capela scored 12 points with nine rebounds, four assists, a steal and a blocked shot in 27 minutes Monday against the Nuggets.

Advice: Capela's minutes were curtailed only due to foul trouble and not due to performance or injury. He ranks fourth in the NBA in field goal percentage and continues to be a tremendous asset for those in rotisserie fantasy formats. Monday, 9:39 pm
  • Millsap (knee) could miss more than 2 games?
Head coach Mike Budenholzer would not commit to Paul Millsap only needing two games off to rest up his left knee but did describe the injury as a "short term" issue.

Advice: At the very least, Millsap will be on the sidelines for both Monday and Wednesday's games, and it sounds like there's a chance he could miss Friday's matchup in Milwaukee as well. Ersan Ilyasova will be one of the primary beneficiaries with Millsap on the shelf, and there will also be more opportunity for guys like Tim Hardaway Jr. and Taurean Prince. Millsap owners can expect to get more than a few updates leading up to Friday's tip. Mar 20, 3:26 pm
  • Derrick Favors (knee) ruled out Monday
Derrick Favors (knee) will not play on Monday vs. the Pacers.

Advice: He's out indefinitely, but maybe he returns to the lineup later this month. Even if he does, most fantasy owners will want to steer clear of the oft-injured big man. The Jazz will likely continue to play more small ball with Joe Johnson getting more run, but Joe Ingles is likely the best player in Utah that's available on your wire right now. Mar 20, 9:03 am
  • DeMarcus Cousins returned to action on Sunday March 19. Mar 20, 1:02 am
  • Thaddeus Young hits 7-of-9 shots w/ 3-pointer
Thaddeus Young scored 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting vs. Toronto on Sunday, adding four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one turnover in 26 minutes.

Advice: Young hadn't made a 3-pointer since injuring his wrist, but he knocked down his only long-range attempt tonight. He said his wrist is "feeling better" and likely would have played more minutes if it weren't for the lopsided score. Young is still a ridiculously bad 3-of-13 from the FT line over the past two weeks, dragging down his already-shaky value, but at least this gives owners some cause for optimism. Mar 19, 6:01 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins (knee) double-doubles Sunday
DeMarcus Cousins (knee) returned on Sunday with 15 points on 7-of-14 shooting, 11 rebounds, four assists, three steals and four turnovers in 31 minutes.

Advice: Cousins had an MRI, which came back negative, and the fact that he played two days later confirms that it's not serious. The Pelicans host the Grizzlies on Tuesday, after which they don't play until Friday, so Cousins' knee should have plenty of time to heal. Mar 19, 6:00 pm
  • Dante Cunningham plays 22 minutes off bench
Dante Cunningham came off the bench on Sunday for three points, three rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes.

Advice: Cunningham filled in for DeMarcus Cousins (knee) on Friday, scoring seven points with nine boards in 39 minutes. He's been a fantasy liability all season, and that's not about to change with 12 games left. Mar 19, 5:59 pm
  • Alex Len struggles w/ fouls Sunday vs. DET
Alex Len played through foul trouble on Sunday to post 11 points, seven rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes.

Advice: Len shot 3-of-12 from the field in his previous game, so the shooting was an improvement, but he struggled to check Andre Drummond without fouling him. Like clockwork, Len was again outplayed by backup big man Alan Williams, who notched 11 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one blocks without any turnovers in 26 minutes. Mar 19, 4:20 pm
  • Dario Saric scores 23 points in win vs. BOS
Dario Saric continued his Rookie of the Year campaign during a 105-99 win over the Celtics on Sunday, scoring 23 points with six rebounds, four assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He should have ROY locked up right now. The Homie Dario was off to a bad start in this game and made just 1-of-6 from the field to start, but he carried the 76ers late and attacked the basket. Saric just drops big lines almost every night since the deadline, averaging 19.3 points, 8.3 boards, 4.6 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.5 blocks and 1.4 treys in his previous games since the break. He is going to be a league-winning asset for a lot fantasy owners. Mar 19, 2:18 pm
  • Dante Cunningham to bench w/ Cousins active
Dante Cunningham will come off the bench behind DeMarcus Cousins (knee) on Sunday.

Advice: Cunningham played 39 minutes on Friday but his role will shrink in the second unit. His per-minute usage is minuscule and there's no reason to touch him outside of the deepest leagues. Mar 19, 2:18 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins (knee, ribs) starting Sunday
DeMarcus Cousins (knee, ribs) will start for the Pelicans on Sunday.

Advice: Cousins missed Friday's game but an MRI came back negative and he said he would play tonight, so hopefully he's in your active lineups. His return should dent Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday's usage, but AD in particular has proven that he can post elite value even while playing alongside Boogie. Mar 19, 2:13 pm
  • Paul Millsap (knee) ruled out for two games
Paul Millsap (left knee tightness) will not play in the next two games.

Advice: That's not good after it sounded like he was getting rest on Saturday. The Hawks play Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, so hopefully Millsap can make it back for a big game against the Bucks on Friday. While he's out, Ersan Ilyasova becomes a player worth owning in all standard leagues. This news also helps guys like Tim Hardaway Jr. and we should see Taurean Prince in the rotation. The Hawks will go smaller more often, as well. Mar 19, 1:31 pm
  • Jae Crowder scores 15 on 13 FGAs
Jae Crowder made 3-of-13 from the field for 15 points with seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes against the 76ers on Sunday.

Advice: He had a tougher time today against Robert Covington and Dario Saric than he did against the Nets on Friday. It was almost weird to see Crowder carry the offensive load on the perimeter late, so clearly the Celtics missed Isaiah Thomas. Crowder puts up strong fantasy value even without much offensive output, so keep him going. Mar 19, 12:52 pm
  • Nerlens Noel doesn't score vs. Nets
Nerlens Noel did not score with four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 21 minutes against the Nets on Sunday.

Advice: The pace was not his friend in this game and Noel was in foul trouble. As a Mav, he was flirting with early-round value before this game, so there's no need to worry even though he's coming off the bench. The Mavs will need his pick-and-roll defense against the Warriors, Clippers and Raptors this week. Start him. Mar 19, 12:28 pm
  • Giannis Anteotokounmpo gets held to 9 points
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored nine points during a blowout 117-92 loss to the Warriors on Saturday, adding three rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals in 31 minutes.

Advice: The Warriors know how to defend drivers as well as just about anyone and Antetokounmpo got a little too much Draymond Green today. He came into this game with a 53.9 field goal percentage in March and he continues to flirt with his two steals and two blocks per game. His fantasy owners will have a big advantage next week with the Bucks suiting up for four games. Mar 18, 10:42 pm
  • Ryan Anderson scores 10 points with 4 boards
Ryan Anderson scored 10 points with four rebounds and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes against the Nuggets on Saturday.

Advice: He did have to go to the locker room for a cut on his face with about a minute left in the first half -- Anderson did start the second half. Somewhat surprisingly, Anderson's usage rate is actually up after the break, but his efficiency and minutes are both down quite a bit. He actually hasn't really been worth owning in standard leagues and is only a specialist. Mar 18, 10:19 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic scores five points in start
Nikola Mirotic scored five points with four rebounds and one 3-pointer in 17 minutes during his start against the Jazz on Saturday.

Advice: Typical Mirotic. He remains one of the most inconsistent players in the NBA, so flopping in the start tonight is not a surprise at all. Speaking of surprises, Mirotic said he was surprised when he found out he was starting today. He's worth a pickup, but anyone with a short fuse on frustrating players may just want to sit this one out. The Bulls do need scoring, though. Mar 18, 9:04 pm
  • Greg Monroe is available Saturday
Greg Monroe is available to play on Saturday vs. the Warriors.

Advice: Monroe was ejected on Friday vs. the Lakers for shoving Nick Young, but the NBA isn't going to step in and issue a suspension. Get him active. Mar 18, 6:41 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic starting over Bobby Portis
Nikola Mirotic will start over Bobby Portis on Saturday vs. the Jazz.

Advice: He's certainly earned it with averages of 17.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.7 blocks and 3.3 triples over his last three games. Consistency has always been his biggest issue, but hopefully he can keep his momentum going tonight. He clearly has the hot hand right now and should be deployed in standard leagues. Portis can be dropped. Mar 18, 4:20 pm
  • Taj Gibson scores four points in 16 minutes
Taj Gibson scored four points with four rebounds in 16 minutes against the Kings on Saturday.

Advice: Garbage time did keep his minutes down slightly and also the youngster behind him were playing well. Gibson's team may have changed, but he's still that low-upside big who will have good and bad games through the course of a week. Most owners will probably want to shoot a little higher. Mar 18, 3:03 pm
  • Kosta Koufos scores nine points
Kosta Koufos scored nine points with six rebounds, two assists and one block in 23 minutes against the Thunder on Saturday.

Advice: He is playing through a right hand injury and does have two fingers taped. According to the Kings broadcast, Koufos said he is going to have to play through it for a month or so. Perhaps this will be a reason to hold Koufos out of games as the season winds down. With Georgios Papagiannis turning in his best game as a pro, we'll likely be seeing Koufos' playing time start to fade. Mar 18, 2:40 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver plays off the bench
Anthony Tolliver scored 10 points with two rebounds and two 3-pointers against the Thunder on Saturday.

Advice: The Kings used him at the three at times in this game. Tolliver is likely going to be resting in several games to finish out the season, especially with both Skal Labissiere and Georgios Papagiannis playing better lately. Leave Tolliver on the wire. Mar 18, 2:30 pm
  • Paul Millsap (left knee) out for Saturday
Paul Millsap (left knee tightness) will not play on Saturday against the Blazers.

Advice: It will be his first game out of the lineup since Dec. 3. This is not on a back-to-back set and it's not on the road, so this isn't just rest for the 32-year-old forward. Ersan Ilyasova gets a big bump and Mike Muscala should also be in the rotation this evening. Mar 18, 2:20 pm
  • Cousins (knee, ribs) expects to play Sunday
DeMarcus Cousins (knee, ribs) said he expects to play Sunday vs. the Timberwolves.

Advice: Cousins was a late scratch on Friday night as he is dealing with a right rib contusion and a knee issue. Boogie had an MRI on the knee, and fortunately, it came back negative. If he does, in fact, return to the lineup on Sunday, Dante Cunningham would get bumped back to the bench. Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis will also have their usage rates reduced a bit. As of now, there is now word as to whether the Pelicans plan to keep Boogie on a minutes restriction on Sunday. Mar 18, 10:11 am
  • Jeff Green scores just two points
Jeff Green made 1-of-9 from the field for two points with eight rebounds, one assist and one turnover against the Suns on Friday.

Advice: This is totally unacceptable on St. Patrick's Day. Anyway, Green just doesn't have fantasy value when the Magic are healthy up front. He doesn't even have much when players are out. Mar 17, 10:55 pm
    New Player Note
    Jeff Green Orl - SG,SF,PF
  • Alex Len has solid game vs. Magic
Alex Len scored nine points with 10 rebounds, two assists, three steals and two blocks against the Magic on Friday.

Advice: This was easily his best game in some time. Len hit the glass and didn't give up low-post position, both of which have been major problems. We're not ready to say "he's back" just yet, but maybe he can get it going. He'll get Andre Drummond on Sunday, so give him a look if you're looking for a big man to stream on Sunday. Mar 17, 10:38 pm
  • Dante Cunningham gets the start
Dante Cunningham got the start for DeMarcus Cousins (knee, ribs) against the Rockets on Friday with seven points, nine rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and two turnovers in 39 minutes.

Advice: He is one of the biggest minutes eaters who don't really do too much. Cunningham is great in his role as a combo forward, but it rarely leads to output on the stat sheet. He gets a revenge game against the Wolves on Sunday, so maybe that will help get him going if Cousins is out again. Mar 17, 10:23 pm
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo scores 26 points in win
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 26 points before fouling out of Friday's 107-103 win over the Lakers.

Advice: He fouled out of a game for the fourth time this season, but at least this time he fouled out in the final minute. Giannis shot 11-of-16 from the field in 35 minutes, adding eight rebounds, five assists, two blocks, one triple and four turnovers. The Bucks have won eight out of their last nine games and are seventh in the East, so the Greek Freak will feast the rest of the way with four games on the schedule in each of the next two weeks. Mar 17, 10:18 pm
  • Jae Crowder scores 24 points in win vs. BK
Jae Crowder saved the day during a 98-95 win at Brooklyn on Friday, scoring 24 points with 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

Advice: With Isaiah Thomas (knee) out, it was Crowder picking up the offensive slack in a very favorable matchup for season highs in points and boards. He was coming in cold on offense with five consecutive games of single-digit scoring, but nothing can cure a slump quite like the Nets. Crowder continues to add stats in multiple areas, which has made him a fifth-round player on the season. Expect him to have a similar finish. With Thomas out again on Sunday, Crowder could have another big game in Philly. Mar 17, 9:28 pm
  • Greg Monroe ejected on Friday vs. the Lakers
Greg Monroe was ejected from Friday's game vs. the Lakers.

Advice: Nick Young pushed Malcolm Brogdon after a hard foul, but Monroe came over and aggressively shoved Young in the neck area. While a suspension isn't likely, it wouldn't hurt to confirm his status for Saturday's game vs. the Warriors just in case. Monroe finished with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal and three blocks in just 16 minutes. Mar 17, 9:25 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic scores 15 points in loss
Nikola Mirotic kept his foot on the gas with 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists, one steal, three blocks and two triples in 32 minutes vs. the Wizards on Friday.

Advice: Bobby Portis was invisible in 16 minutes and Mirotic played down the stretch when it mattered the most. While he hit just 6-of-16 shots from the field, his upside has never been a question -- his lack of consistency is his biggest issue. With that said, he's looked great in three straight games with averages of 17.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.7 blocks and 3.3 triples. Mirotic has the hot hand right now and belongs in fantasy lineups. The Bulls play four games next week. Mar 17, 7:19 pm
  • Dario Saric has bad offensive game
Dario Saric made 3-of-9 from the field for 10 points with seven rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and no turnovers against the Mavs on Friday.

Advice: It may have been his worst offensive game since January, but he still was able to turn in a multiple-category stat line. Saric did go to the locker room in the first half during this game, but he returned to the bench within about two minutes in real time. Saric gets a day game against the Celtics on Sunday and should bounce back. He's the heavy favorite for Rookie of the Year. Mar 17, 7:16 pm
  • Nerlens Noel scores nine in Philly return
Nerlens Noel came off the bench in Philadelphia on Friday with nine points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 19 minutes.

Advice: He received a standing ovation when he checked into the game and responded with a wave to the crowd. Noel's playing time likely would've been higher had this game been closer, so don't read to much into those 19 minutes. He has been third-round player in his previous 10, so keep him rolling. Mar 17, 6:32 pm
  • Dante Cunningham starting for Cousins
Dante Cunningham is starting for DeMarcus Cousins (rib) on Friday vs. the Pelicans.

Advice: Cousins is day-to-day and Cunningham is a low-usage player that's simply in there to space the floor. He can be ignored outside of the deepest of leagues. Coach Alvin Gentry hinted that Alexis Ajinca may see some minutes as well. Mar 17, 4:29 pm
  • Nerlens Noel off bench; Dirk starting at C
Nerlens Noel will come off the bench against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: It'll be Yogi Ferrell, Seth Curry, Wes Matthews, Harrison Barnes and Dirk Nowitzki in the starting lineup. Noel should still be getting some decent minutes against his former team, so he should be in all fantasy lineups. He's a viable DFS play, too. Mar 17, 3:53 pm
  • Willie Reed is good to go for Friday
Willie Reed is available for Friday against the Wolves.

Advice: The Heat have a fairly healthy roster now and Hassan Whiteside is playing lights out, so Reed won't play much. Mar 17, 3:23 pm
  • Derrick Favors (knee) out again for Saturday
Derrick Favors (knee) is out again for Saturday against the Bulls.

Advice: He's basically out indefinitely and can be dropped in most leagues. The Jazz have liked their small-ball lineup and will likely use it again against the Bulls. That should help Joe Johnson and Joe Ingles, especially if a questionable Rodney Hood can't play. Mar 17, 3:17 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins (knee, ribs) out for Friday
DeMarcus Cousins will not play on Friday due to left knee soreness and a right rib contusion.

Advice: He likely suffered the right rib contusion when James Johnson kicked him in the chest on Wednesday night. The knee injury is a little more concerning and Cousins even had an MRI. The good news is results were negative for structural damage. Hopefully, Cousins is only day-to-day going forward. For tonight, Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis will go back to being studs while there are more shots for Jordan Crawford and more minutes for Dante Cunningham. Mar 17, 2:35 pm
  • Taj Gibson has a decent game
Taj Gibson scored 10 points with four rebounds, one assist and two blocks against the Raptors on Thursday.

Advice: He's been fairly solid in his last three games with averages of 14.0 points, 6.0 boards and 1.0 steals. Gibson isn't really going to be a difference maker, but he's still a solid guy to have because he is unlikely to rest. His low upside makes him worth a look in some leagues after the hot pickups were grabbed. Mar 16, 7:10 pm
  • Paul Millsap struggles in loss to Grizzlies
Paul Millsap hit just 3-of-10 shots and two 3-pointers for 10 points, three rebounds, a steal and a block on Thursday, and was dominated by JaMychal Green, who has been struggling lately.

Advice: It wasn't a great night for Millsap or the Hawks and this was his lowest scoring night in the month of March. Millsap had been playing well and power forwards tend to have a ton of success against the Blazers, who the Hawks face on Saturday night. Mar 16, 7:02 pm
  • Larry Sanders is back up
    The Cavs recalled Larry Sanders.

Advice: He surprisingly made his NBA season debut with two minutes in garbage time. The Cavs are not likely to use Sanders unless it's garbage time for most of the season, but he might be a producer in the last week of the season with players resting. Mar 16, 12:52 pm
  • Derrick Favors, Rodney Hood out Thursday
Derrick Favors (knee) and Rondey Hood (knee) have both been ruled out of Thursday's game vs. Cleveland.

Advice: He's scheduled to be re-evaluated in a few days, but his fantasy owners should just move on at this point. With Favors out, the Jazz have been playing a lot of small ball and Joe Ingles and Joe Johnson have been the biggest winners.Daily Slant: With Favors, Hood and Mack off the floor this year, Gordon Hayward sports at 31.0% usage rate, a +1.8% bump from his season total, with George Hill picking up a slightly bigger bump (+1.9%). Both Hayward and Hill are viable targets against the Cavs, with Joe Johnson and Joe Ingles picking up between 25-30 minutes in relief of Hood and Favors. Neither carry terribly high ceilings, but Ingles is the better bet to see bigger minutes and given the short slate, he's playable in any format. Mar 16, 10:56 am
  • Willie Reed takes a personal day
Willie Reed was not at Thursday's practice for personal reasons.

Advice: Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said he's fully expected to be back for Friday's game vs. the Wolves, so there's nothing to see here. Reed doesn't have much value while Hassan Whiteside is healthy. Mar 16, 10:33 am
  • Nerlens Noel hints that his knee is fine
Nerlens Noel said he sat out three games with left knee soreness as more of a precaution.

Advice: He said the swelling was a "result of overuse" while trying to get up to speed with the Mavericks. "It's not like I'm handicapped," Noel said. "I could move around. It's just something I chose not to play through." He looked fine on Wednesday vs. the Wizards with 12 points, three rebounds, one assist and one block, and as long as the Mavs can stay within striking distance of the No. 8 seed, Noel's value should trend up. • Kosta Koufos looks good in his return
Kosta Koufos scored 13 points with six rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 20 minutes against the Suns on Wednesday.

Advice: Koufos was back in the starting lineup after getting rest on Monday. He looked to be on his way to a really strong game, but Skal Labissiere went scorched-earth mode in the fourth and Koufos never checked back in. Koufos did rest on Monday and there's a very good chance he's not going to play on Friday. He can't be owned in fantasy with so much uncertainty about his status going forward. Mar 15, 11:43 pm
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo limited by fouls vs LAC
Giannis Antetokounmpo played just 28 minutes vs. the Clippers on Wednesday, but he still finished with 16 points (5-of-10 FGs, 6-of-9 FTs), five rebounds, five assists and one block.

Advice: Antetokounmpo picked up two fouls in the first eight minutes of the game, forcing a substitution, and he picked up a third foul after playing 4:24 in the second quarter. Jason Kidd was playing it safe, in other words. Giannis came in leading his team in points (23.1), rebounds (8.6), assists (5.5), blocks (1.9), and steals (1.8), and he's successfully guided the Bucks into the Eastern Conference playoff picture. • Alex Len scores six in return
Alex Len (hip) scored six points during a start with eight rebounds and two steals in 17 minutes against the Kings on Wednesday.

Advice: It's tough to tell what's wrong with Len, but he's just not right. He and Alan Williams are both restricted free agents this summer, so the Suns may not keep both. Len just can't be used in most fantasy leagues right now. Mar 15, 10:54 pm
  • Ryan Anderson goes scoreless
Ryan Anderson did not score on Wednesday with two rebounds and one assist in 16 minutes against the Lakers on Wednesday.

Advice: He did take a shot to the mouth in the second quarter and went to the locker room. Anderson did return to start the second half, but he didn't play in garbage time to keep his minutes down. He's really just a specialist at this point. Mar 15, 10:22 pm
