    • Strong in Game 1
White amassed 15 points (5-11 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, five assists and one steal in 35 minutes during Thursday's 107-89 victory over the Mavericks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Advice: White did what we've come to expect from him in Game 1. The performance marked White's sixth consecutive with at least 13 points and four assists, and he's committed only four total turnovers during this stretch compared to nine steals and 11 blocks. He's also hit at least one three-pointer in every playoff game this season. Rotowire.com Today, 9:34 am
    • Sniffs double-double in Game 1 loss
Washington closed Thursday's 107-89 loss to the Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA Finals with 14 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT), eight rebounds and one assist over 36 minutes.

Advice: The Mavericks struggled on offense all game long and didn't even reach the 90-point mark, but Washington was one of the few decent performers on a Dallas team that looked overmatched at times. Washington has looked comfortable being Dallas' third-best offensive player during this postseason run, but his efforts were not enough in this lopsided defeat. Washington has now scored in double digits in each of his last six playoff outings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:47 pm
    • Derrick White hits three 3-pointers, scores 15
Derrick White amassed 15 points (5-of-11 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, five assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers in 35 minutes in Thursday’s win over the Mavericks.

Advice: Boston opened the 2024 NBA Finals on a high note, as they blitzed the Mavericks early and kept the visitors at a safe distance throughout. White was one of six Celtics in double figures and one of two players (Jayson Tatum) to make three 3-pointers on the night. The Celtics shot 16-of-42 from deep as a team, outscoring Dallas by a 48-21 margin. Backcourt sidekick Jrue Holiday also had a good night, as he finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes. Boston will look to take a 2-0 series lead when the teams meet again on Sunday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:22 pm
    • PJ Washington records 14/8/1 line in Game 1 loss
PJ Washington finished Thursday’s 107-89 loss to the Celtics with 14 points (5-of-11 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), eight rebounds, and one assist in 36 minutes.

Advice: Like many of his teammates, Washington struggled from deep in Game 1. The Mavericks forward was 0-of-3 from three, and the Mavericks shot 7-of-27 as a team. With Boston making 16 3-pointers, the 27-point margin was too significant for Dallas to overcome. Washington has reached double figures in six consecutive games, but Thursday ended a three-game streak of at least two 3-pointers. He and the Mavericks will look to rebound in Game 2 on Sunday night. • Out for FIBA Qualifying Tournament
Markkanen (shoulder) will not play for Finland during the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in July, Evan Sidery of Forbes Sports reports.

Advice: Markkanen is still rehabbing a right shoulder injury which forced him out of Utah's last nine games. The 27-year-old will not rush his recovery to play in the qualifier, as he is expected to return to on-court activities in August. Markkanen played in 55 games for the Jazz last season, averaging 23.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 48.0 percent from the field. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:27 pm
    • Plays reduced minutes in Game 5
Gobert provided nine points (4-8 FG, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes during Thursday's 124-103 loss to the Mavericks in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

Advice: Gobert's 26 minutes were his lowest of the series despite recording just one foul. The 2023-24 Defensive Player of the Year was often forced to play away from the rim and come out to meet Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving on the perimeter in the pick-and-roll. Gobert averaged 11.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 34.0 minutes across the five games against Dallas. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:27 pm
    • Rudy Gobert limited to five rebounds on Thursday
Rudy Gobert shot 4-of-8 from the field and 1-of-2 from the foul line in Thursday’s loss to the Mavericks, amassing nine points, five rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 26 minutes.

Advice: Gobert was relatively quiet on Thursday night after recording a double-double in Minnesota’s Game 4 victory. He averaged 11.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game for the series but could not significantly impact the action as a rim-protector. Gobert’s 2023-24 season was an improvement on 2022-23, his first after being traded to Minnesota. The chemistry between him and Karl-Anthony Towns improved, but the partnership lowered the fantasy ceilings of both players. Gobert has top-50 potential, but this represents his ceiling rather than his floor. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:37 pm
    • Rudy Gobert tallies 13 points, 10 rebounds Tuesday
Rudy Gobert accumulated 13 points (4-of-5 FGs, 5-of-9 FTs), 10 rebounds, one assist, and one blocked shot in 39 minutes in Tuesday’s 105-100 win over Dallas.

Advice: The Timberwolves aren’t done yet, as their best players performed well enough to avoid being swept. Gobert recorded his second double-double of the series, the first coming in Minnesota’s Game 2 loss at home. He also played a series-high 39 minutes for the Timberwolves, who did not have to deal with Mavericks backup center Dereck Lively II (neck sprain). Gobert and the Timberwolves avoided falling apart in crunch time, which was an issue in the first three games of the series. They’ll look to extend the series even further on Thursday night at home.
