  • Jay Triano says there will be a lineup change
Jay Triano said there will be a lineup change for Monday's game in Milwaukee.

Advice: Greg Monroe has been collecting DNP-CDs for the better part of a month now, but perhaps he'll be able to get back into the rotation tonight. Triano could also move Devin Booker to the one in order to bring Josh Jackson or Isaiah Canaan into the starting five at the two, which would result in Tyler Ulis heading to the second unit. Check back for another update closer to tip-off. Today, 11:59 am
  • Report: POR interested in DeAndre Jordan
The Trail Blazers have reportedly engaged with the Clippers in trade talks regarding DeAndre Jordan.

Advice: Portland, Milwaukee and Cleveland have all reached out to Los Angeles regarding Jordan's availability, but thus far, the Clippers have not received a proposal that they find "seriously tempting," according to sources of Marc Stein of the New York Times. Jordan could be one of the biggest names moved at the deadline, although with the Clippers currently sitting on the No. 8 seed out West, there's less incentive to move him. Today, 11:17 am
  • Suns to make a lineup change vs. Bucks
Suns coach Jay Triano said he will make a lineup change vs. the Bucks on Monday.

Advice: Triano isn't going to reveal his starters until closer to tip-off and didn't hint at anything either. Devin Booker and T.J. Warren are the only starters that should be locked in, so Tyler Ulis, Dragan Bender and Tyson Chandler could be looking at new roles tonight. Stay tuned. Today, 10:37 am
  • Marquese Chriss still without a timetable
Marquese Chriss had a second MRI on his hip which showed that the injury is improving.

Advice: While this is good news, Chriss still doesn't have a timetable to return and his status for this week is up in the air. Dragan Bender will have a heavy workload while Chriss is out, but he's been a hit-or-miss fantasy option. Today, 10:30 am
  • Chinanu Onuaku (nose) listed as out
Chinanu Onuaku (nose) is listed as out for Monday's game vs. the Heat.

Advice: He remains without a timetable to return, but he's not in the rotation anyways. Today, 9:36 am
  • Kevin Love (illness) says he'll play Tuesday
Kevin Love (illness) said he feels better and that he will play on Tuesday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: He said he felt dizzy when he was pulled early from Saturday's game and the Cavaliers gave him the day off practice on Sunday, but he was back with the team on Monday morning. He should be ready to roll and could see his normal allotment of minutes vs. the Spurs. Coach Tyronn Lue did talk about finding more touches for Love, so we'll see if it actually happens. Today, 9:33 am
  • Nikola Vucevic says he's making progress
Nikola Vucevic (wrist) said that he's making progress.

Advice: "Little by little [the strength is returning] and the best thing is just me using my hand because that will help it," he said. "I’m just doing stuff every day. Even video games, will help because I’m using my hand.’’ Vucevic has done a little bit of on-court work, but mostly he's been limited to "plunging his fist into a bucket of rice and squeezing exercise balls at various times throughout the day." He's expected to return around the All-Star break, so Bismack Biyombo's value is safe for now. Today, 7:36 am
  • Hernangomez hoping for change in situation
Willy Hernangomez is hoping his situation changes before the trade deadline.

Advice: "I think there is going to be a change. I hope for the better," Hernangomez said. "I would like to continue here but I don’t close to the doors to anything. I just want to play. There are still weeks left before the market closes and I want to play." The second-year center has only played 9.3 minutes per game in 20 contests, and he's still stuck behind both Enes Kanter and Kyle O'Quinn on the depth chart. He does have upside, so keep a close eye on the Knicks as we approach the Feb. 8 deadline. Today, 7:28 am
  • Jusuf Nurkic looking forward to some revenge
Jusuf Nurkic said he's definitely looking forward to playing the Nuggets in Denver for the first time since he was traded.

Advice: "It's a regular game here, but over there [it's] not. So, definitely super excited for Monday, looking for another win definitely." Nurkic has averaged 20.0 points and 7.0 rebounds on 57.5 percent shooting in three previous meetings with the Nuggets (all in Portland), his highest scoring average vs. any opponent. He's been frustrating this season, but tonight's matchup should get him going again and Damian Lillard hinted that he'll have a big night. "He'll get the opportunities and hopefully he has a big game," Lillard said. "When he has big games we win." Today, 6:56 am
  • LaMarcus Aldridge w/ poor double-double
LaMarcus Aldridge had a poor double-double during Sunday's home loss, going 5-of-14 from the field for 10 points, 10 rebounds, one assist and one block.

Advice: Aldridge didn't get to the free-throw line and he committed four turnovers. He's a combined 11-of-39 from the field in the Spurs' past two games, but fantasy owners have to be thrilled with the usage and playing time -- he's logged at least 35 minutes in four consecutive games. Gregg Popovich even praised him after the game, saying, "He hasn’t shot it well, but his effort has been off the charts." He'll resume making shots soon enough. Yesterday, 7:17 pm
  • Domantas Sabonis quiet in 28 minutes Sunday
Domantas Sabonis hit 2-of-8 FGs and 5-of-6 FTs on Sunday, finishing with nine points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 28 minutes.

Advice: Myles Turner (elbow) will be re-evaluated in Indiana on Monday, so we should have an update very soon. He's missed seven straight games, during which time Sabonis has averaged 11.7 points and 10.1 rebounds, with a modest 1.9 assist, 0.6 blocks and 0.3 steals. A lack of defensive stats is limiting his roto value, but he's still a solid big man to own even when Turner is healthy. Yesterday, 6:53 pm
  • DeAndre Jordan (ankle) listed out for Monday
DeAndre Jordan (left ankle sprain) is listed out for Monday's game vs. the Timberwolves.

Advice: He's being ruled out a day in advance, which is never good, and we've yet to hear about DJ ramping up his activity during practices or shootarounds. Montrezl Harrell continues to benefit the most from his absence, despite coming off the bench behind fill-in starter Willie Reed. Jordan's next chance to return comes Wednesday vs. the visiting Celtics. Yesterday, 4:43 pm
  • Julius Randle double-doubles in win over NYK
Julius Randle posted a 27-point, 12-rebound double-double during Sunday's win over the Knicks, adding five assists, one steal and two turnovers in 37 minutes.

Advice: Randle has been fairly consistent with the points, boards and dimes over the past few weeks, but the general lack of defensive stats and turnover issues have been a major hindrance to his fantasy value. We've heard his name floating around the rumor mill a lot lately with the trade deadline approaching, and he's certainly played well enough as of late to attract some suitors, so it'll be interesting to see if there's any fire to the smoke. A trade away from Los Angles wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. Yesterday, 3:51 pm
  • JaMychal Green (ankle) out Monday vs. Sixers
JaMychal Green (right ankle) will not play vs. Philly on Monday.

Advice: The Grizzlies' injury report is a mess. Andrew Harrison (shoulder) is probable, Jarell Martin (left hand), Dillon Brooks (illness) and Mario Chalmers (shoulder) are questionable, while Chandler Parsons (knee) and James Ennis III (calf) are out. Mike Conley is also still out, of course, and fantasy owners relying on anyone from Memphis should monitor player news throughout Monday afternoon. Yesterday, 3:18 pm
  • Brandan Wright (illness) not on injury report
Brandan Wright (illness) is not on the injury report for Monday's game.

Advice: It sounds like Wright will be cleared to play vs. the Sixers, but whether he takes the court is another question -- he was a DNP-CD on Friday, and Deyonta Davis appears to have usurped his role entirely. Yesterday, 3:10 pm
  • Kenneth Faried (ankle) questionable Monday
Kenneth Faried (left ankle soreness) is questionable to play Monday vs. the Trail Blazers.

Advice: Faried is a negligible part of the rotation in Denver, so his playing status is irrelevant in fantasy hoops. Yesterday, 1:30 pm
  • Bismack Biyombo invisible in 21 minutes
Bismack Biyombo was nearly invisible in Sunday's win over the Celtics, finishing with just four points and three blocks over 21 minutes as a starter.

Advice: This was the first time in Biyombo's career that he failed to grab a single rebound while logging at least 20 minutes of floor time, and this was easily his worst game since entering the starting lineup. That said, he's been quite good as a starter this season with averages of 9.1 points, 10.3 boards and 2.3 swats per contest on 56.3% shooting from the field and 87.9% from the stripe, so we'd anticipate a bounce-back performance on Tuesday against Sacramento. Yesterday, 1:19 pm
  • Al Horford scores just nine points in 33 mins
Al Horford didn't do much in Sunday's loss to the Magic, finishing with nine points, five boards, six assists, one 3-pointer, one steal and one block in 33 minutes of floor time.

Advice: Horford never really got going in this one, and he's been prone to the occasional dud this season, but we'd expect a bounce-back performance on Tuesday with a more favorable matchup against the Lakers. Aron Baynes played through a sinus infection but finished with just one rebound, one assist, one block and one turnover in five minutes off the bench. Yesterday, 12:51 pm
    Player Note
    Al Horford Bos - PF,C
  • Zeller has progressed to individual drills
Cody Zeller (knee surgery) has progressed to some individual drills.

Advice: He hasn’t been cleared for 5-on-5 activity yet and there's no timetable for when that will happen. Zeller underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus back on Dec. 12 and was given a 6-week timetable, but it doesn't sound like we'll see him return in January. If the Hornets tank down the stretch and reduce Dwight Howard's workload, Zeller could have some value. Yesterday, 10:34 am
  • Myles Turner will be re-evaluated Monday
Myles Turner (elbow) will be re-evaluated when the Pacers return to Indiana on Monday.

Advice: As expected, he will not play on Sunday vs. the Spurs, his seventh straight game on the shelf. "We'll look at him when we get back to Indiana," coach Nate McMillan said. "But he's not practicing with the team yet." The Pacers don't play again until Wednesday vs. the Suns, but it doesn't sound like his return is imminent. Domantas Sabonis will continue to see a boost in value as long as Turner is out. Yesterday, 9:46 am
  • Kevin Love (illness) sits out practice
Kevin Love (illness) did not practice on Sunday.

Advice: He's still not feeling well and was held to three minutes on Saturday without any stats. He does have another 48+ hours to recover, so hopefully he'll be ready to roll vs. the Spurs. Coach Tyronn Lue did say he wants to get Love more touches, but his value has been trending in the wrong direction since Isaiah Thomas got back. Yesterday, 9:30 am
  • Aron Baynes (illness) says he will play
Aron Baynes (illness) said he will play on Sunday vs. the Magic.

Advice: He has a sinus infection which is giving him a "bad headache," but he'll give it a go anyways. The Celtics are starting Marcus Morris over Baynes in what is likely another matchup move, so his streaming appeal isn't great. Yesterday, 8:55 am
  • Aron Baynes (illness) is still questionable
Aron Baynes (illness) is still questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Magic.

Advice: Marcus Morris will start, so Baynes will come off the bench if he's cleared. He didn't practice on Saturday, but must be feeling a little better Sunday since he went through the morning shootaround. If he can't go, Al Horford, Daniel Theis and Marcus Morris could all pick up a handful of minutes. Yesterday, 8:20 am
  • Lue says he needs to get Love more touches
Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue said he needs to get Kevin Love more touches.

Advice: "Whoever has it going or whoever is open should get the basketball, so it’s really not an option thing," Lue said. "Kevin’s been great all year and we got to continue to get him touches and continue to feature him, no matter who’s on the floor." His usage rate drops from 26.6 to 20.2 with Isaiah Thomas on the floor, so his value is trending in the wrong direction. Lue has talked about getting Love more touches many times this season, so take his comments with a grain of salt until it actually happens. Yesterday, 8:03 am
  • Triano concerned about Marquese Chriss' hip
Suns coach Jay Triano said he's a "little concerned" about Marquese Chriss' hip.

Advice: Chriss also said he's concerned and he may even get a second MRI. "I don’t really know what’s going on with it," Chriss said. "Some days it feels good, some days it doesn’t. I’ve been able to get on the floor to shoot. Running is the hardest thing to do right now. It’s frustrating that I’m not able to play." We'll consider him doubtful for Monday's game vs. the Bucks, but we'd recommend stashing him an I.R. spot if possible. Dragan Bender will continue to see the bulk of the PF minutes in the meantime and could have some value with the Suns playing four times this coming week. Yesterday, 7:57 am
  • Jusuf Nurkic scores 10 points vs. Mavs
Jusuf Nurkic scored 10 points with six rebounds, one assist and one block in 24 minutes against the Mavs on Saturday.

Advice: He did have some decent momentum coming into this game, but he was sloppy on both ends of the floor. Nurkic did also tweak his right elbow when he got tangled up with Salah Mejri, but it sounds like he's OK. He's been a bit of a headache in fantasy this season. Saturday, 10:23 pm
  • Ed Davis gets 24 minutes
Ed Davis played 24 minutes with six points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 24 minutes against the Mavs on Saturday.

Advice: He stepped up with Jusuf Nurkic getting into some foul trouble, but there's not much else to this here. Davis is only a handcuff and he probably wouldn't get a big bump anyway. Saturday, 10:21 pm
  • Dirk Nowitzki posts 21 points in road loss
Dirk Nowitzki finished with a season-high 21 points, four rebounds, two blocked shots and a steal over 29 minutes in Saturday's 117-108 loss at Portland.

Advice: Nowitzki was a very efficient 8-of-12 from the field, including 3-of-4 from behind the 3-point line, and he added 2-of-2 from the free-throw line while posting zero turnovers. Disco Dirk hit 20 points for just the second time this season, each coming over the past five outings. He has had a couple of solid scoring outings in January, but his production has still been rather erratic. Saturday, 9:51 pm
  • Rudy Gobert swats three shots vs. Clippers
Rudy Gobert posted 16 points with seven rebounds and three blocked shots over 28 minutes in Saturday's 125-113 win against the Clippers.

Advice: Gobert was a very efficient 6-of-9 from the field, and he didn't have any turnovers. He was on his way to a pretty strong stat line, but foul trouble kept his numbers down a bit. Still, his overall performance was pretty impressive. In addition, he was able to play in the back-to-back set, so that's another good sign for his fantasy owners. Saturday, 9:26 pm
  • Jonas Valanciunas gets into foul trouble
Jonas Valanciunas did not score with three rebounds and one assist in 11 minutes against the Wolves on Saturday.

Advice: Foul trouble got him in this game and quiet games from Valanciunas are nothing new. Overall, he's still been around being a top-100 player, so he's still a hold in standard leagues. Saturday, 9:26 pm
  • Nice double-double for Derrick Favors
Derrick Favors ended up with 14 points and 12 rebounds over 32 minutes in Saturday's 125-113 victory against the Clippers.

Advice: Favors hit 5-of-10 from the field while picking up three assist and a steal, and he had a game-best plus-18 rating. He is available, and some teams have called to ask about him, and performances like this will certainly help improve his stock and appeal. He remains a hold in standard leagues, but his short-term outlook is a bit murky. It might be best for his fantasy value if he remains in Salt Lake. Saturday, 9:23 pm
  • JaMychal Green (ankle) will not return
JaMychal Green (right ankle) will not return to Saturday's game against the Pelicans.

Advice: He suffered the injury much earlier in the game, but he wasn't ruled out until the fourth quarter. Hopefully, this injury isn't going to cost him too much time, but getting ruled out in a close game is discouraging. Green's bad injury earlier this year was to his right knee. He finished with eight points, a season-high 16 rebounds and one steal in 24 minutes. Jarell Martin and Ivan Rabb will be filling in for him tonight with Martin being worthy of a speculative add in deep leagues. Saturday, 5:57 pm
  • Kevin Love doesn't return vs. OKC
Kevin Love did not return from his illness on Saturday, finishing with no stats in three minutes.

Advice: It was obvious he wasn't feeling well, so it would've been nice to have been given a heads up. Love was struggling since Isaiah Thomas returned, so this ugly stat line opens his buy-low window even more because of how it will skew his value. Although, the Cavs may have to think about starting Tristan Thompson after they were crushed inside. The Cavs are off until Tuesday, so Love should be ready for that one. Saturday, 3:12 pm
  • Kevin Love (illness) questionable to return
Kevin Love (illness) is questionable to return against the Thunder on Saturday.

Advice: The ABC broadcast said Love wasn't feeling well with about 10 minutes left in the second quarter and the team now says he's questionable just a few minutes later. Love had a couple ugly shots and he didn't look well on the bench, so it's possible he doesn't return. Saturday, 1:26 pm
  • Nikola Vucevic does some on-court work
Nikola Vucevic (hand) did some on-court work on Saturday.

Advice: The video below showed him doing layups with both hands, so this is a big step in his rehab. Earlier this week, he had a huge cast on his left hand from his surgery back on Dec. 26. He was expected to be out for 6-8 weeks, so the All-Star break seems like a reasonable target. His return would destroy the fantasy value of Bismack Biyombo, who has been a revelation this month. Saturday, 12:10 pm
  • Brandan Wright (illness) ruled out Saturday
Brandan Wright (illness) has been ruled out of Saturday's game vs. the Pelicans.

Advice: Wright, who had missed three straight games, was available to return Friday. However, he was a DNP-CD. Now he's back on the inactive list. Wright, who hasn't logged more than 15 minutes in a game since December 26th, should be left on the waiver wire. Saturday, 11:01 am
  • Aron Baynes (illness) unable to practice Sat
Aron Baynes (illness) was unable to practice on Saturday.

Advice: For now, we'll consider Baynes questionable for Sunday's afternoon game vs. the Magic. If Baynes is unable to suit up on Sunday, Al Horford, Daniel Theis and Marcus Morris would likely divvy up additional minutes. Saturday, 10:25 am
  • Julius Randle effective in Friday's home win
Julius Randle (finger) was able to start Friday's 99-86 victory against the Pacers, finishing with 14 points.

Advice: Randle hit 7-of-12 from the field while adding four rebounds, two assists, a steal and a blocked shot over his 20 minutes. He is playing with a jammed right ring finger and fracture, but the ailment didn't seem to affect his shot in the win. If you were hesitant to use him in your fantasy lineup because of the injury, fear not. He looks like he'll be just fine playing through the situation. Friday, 10:57 pm
  • Rudy Gobert returns with 23 and 14, 3 blocks
Rudy Gobert (knee) turned in a gem during his return to the lineup on Friday, scoring a season-high 23 points with 14 rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 30 minutes during a 117-115 loss to the Knicks.

Advice: He was expected to play around 24 minutes, but this game was close in a game the Jazz really needed before a road trip that starts on Monday. Gobert started slow and did only make 9-of-15 from the line, but he showed some rapport with Donovan Mitchell. He has been a major letdown so far this season, so hopefully he can hang more lines like this one. His owners may want to make sure he's a go for Saturday in a back-to-back set against the Clippers. Friday, 10:35 pm
  • Domantas Sabonis snags 14 boards in loss
Domantas Sabonis posted 15 points with 14 rebounds across 35 minutes in Friday's 99-86 road loss against the Lakers.

Advice: Sabonis hit 6-of-10 from the field while also blocking two shots and posting an assist, as he continues to start in place of the injured Myles Turner (arm). His scoring has been a bit erratic lately, but he continues to pull down his fair share of rebounds. He is averaging 11.3 rebounds per game over his past seven outings, making him an outstanding short-term fantasy addition if you need boards. He'll have his hands full with LaMarcus Aldridge, Pau Gasol and the Spurs in Sunday's road game, however. Friday, 10:26 pm
  • Derrick Favors takes a hit with Gobert back
Derrick Favors scored seven points with seven rebounds, one assist and two turnovers in 27 minutes against the Knicks on Friday.

Advice: His on/off splits with Rudy Gobert have some stark differences, so his fantasy owners should expect him to take a noticeable dip on the stat sheet. Favors should still be able to be around 13 and eight with some defensive stats. He's still a hold in standard leagues. Friday, 10:05 pm
  • Brandan Wright picks up a DNP-CD
Brandan Wright picked up a DNP-CD on Friday vs. the Kings.

Advice: He was "available" to play, but he's not in the rotation right now. Deyonta Davis will continue backing up Marc Gasol and we don't see why Memphis would go away from that. Friday, 8:10 pm
  • Ennis, Hart, Brewer, Kuz & Randle starting
Corey Brewer, Kyle Kuzma, Julius Randle, Josh Hart and Tyler Ennis will start against the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: The Lakers are missing a lot of bodies here and they'll go small against the Pacers. Randle is also playing with a finger fracture. Friday, 7:26 pm
  • Jonas Valanciunas double-doubles vs. Spurs
Jonas Valanciunas double-doubled vs. the Spurs on Friday with 15 points, 11 rebounds, one steal and one triple in 30 minutes.

Advice: The Raptors swtiched him onto LaMarcus Aldridge early and J-Val stepped up, holding LMA to 6-of-25 shooting. Serge Ibaka has been pretty terrible lately, while Valanciunas is trending in the opposite direction, posting his second straight double-double and recording 26+ minutes in three out of his last four games. Friday, 7:02 pm
  • LaMarcus Aldridge hits 6-of-25 FGs in loss
LaMarcus Aldridge scored 17 points in Friday's 86-83 loss to the Raptors, hitting just 6-of-25 shots and 4-of-5 free throws.

Advice: The Raptors switched Jonas Valanciunas onto LMA early into the game and the move paid dividends for Toronto. Pau Gasol said that Aldridge is going to be the "focal point" of the offense going forward with Kawhi Leonard (quad) out indefinitely, but we'll chalk this up as a rare off night for the big man. The good news is that he salvaged his fantasy line in other categories, racking up 14 rebounds with two assists, one steal, two blocks and one triple in 37 minutes. Friday, 6:34 pm
  • Rudy Gobert to play around 24 minutes
Rudy Gobert (knee) will start and is expected to play around 24 minutes against the Knicks on Friday.

Advice: He beat his timetable from last weekend to return, but the Jazz rightfully won't be extending him too much. Gobert's scoring has dropped from last season, so it'll be interesting to see how he fits now that Donovan Mitchell has established himself as a rookie stud. Friday, 6:00 pm
  • NYT: Cavs looking into a DeAndre Jordan trade
The Cavs are pursuing a deal for DeAndre Jordan, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times.

Advice: To be clear, nothing is imminent here. Jordan looks like the biggest fish in the expiring contract market and the Clippers will probably be rooting against the Cavs to put more pressure on them to make a move. Because Jordan doesn't really score much, his fantasy value likely won't change too much on whatever team he goes to. Friday, 4:34 pm
  • Brandan Wright (illness) is available
Brandan Wright (illness) is available to play on Friday vs. the Kings.

Advice: He's been out of the rotation and Marc Gasol (illness) is playing, so Wright isn't a lock to see the floor. Friday, 4:12 pm
  • Julius Randle (finger) expected to play
Julius Randle jammed his right ring finger and suffered a fracture, but he’s scheduled to play against the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: It's being called a mallet fracture, which is just below the tip of Randle's finger. The Lakers will need him with Brandon Ingram (ankle) possibly missing this game. Randle is a lefty, so this injury may not affect him too much on offense. He's an option in DFS and should be owned in standard leagues now that he's seen consistent minutes. Friday, 11:38 am
  • DeAndre Jordan (ankle) out for Saturday night
DeAndre Jordan (ankle) will not play against the Jazz on Saturday.

Advice: He'll miss his fourth contest and being ruled out a day ahead of the game suggests he may need more time off. With DJ out, it's been Willie Reed getting the start, but Montrezl Harrell has been stepping up in the second unit. Harrell is worth a short-term look, assuming you're OK with bad FT%. Friday, 11:11 am
  • Rudy Gobert (knee) will play Friday vs. NY
Rudy Gobert (knee) will play Friday night vs. the Knicks, but will have a minutes restriction.

Advice: Coach Quinn Snyder said he was unsure whether or not Gobert would start. Gobert told reporters that his minutes restriction would be largely based on his level of conditioning and fatigue. Rudy also said that he expects to play Saturday vs. the Clippers as well, barring soreness. It's probably best to steer clear of Rudy in DFS on Friday, but daily fantasy leaguers should feel confident deploying him. Derrick Favors, Jonas Jerebko (back), Joe Johnson and Ekpe Udoh will all see their playing time reduced. Friday, 10:33 am
  • Brandan Wright (illness) doubtful for Friday
Brandan Wright (illness) was unable to participate in shootaround and is "likely doubtful" for Friday's game vs. Sacramento.

Advice: Minimal fantasy impact here, as Wright has missed three straight games and hasn't logged more than 15 minutes in a game since December 26th. Also, Marc Gasol (illness) is expected to play Friday night. Friday, 9:13 am
  • Nurk Alert: Jusuf Nurkic explodes for 19 & 17
Jusuf Nurkic scored 19 points with 17 rebounds, two steals and two blocks in 32 minutes against the Pacers on Thursday.

Advice: It's a much-needed Nurk Alert after two terrible games in favorable matchups against the Suns and Wolves, averaging just 8.5 points, 6.0 boards and 1.0 blocks in 21.0 minutes per game. On the positive side, Nurkic is finally making his shots from the field at 52.0 percent from the field this month before his 8-of-14 tonight (57.1 percent). He still has some major work to do to meet his ADP price, but things are looking up right now. Thursday, 9:48 pm
  • Domantas Sabonis scores nine in loss
Domantas Sabonis scored nine points with 10 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 33 minutes against the Blazers on Thursday.

Advice: No narrative street for Arvydas' son in Portland. He actually hasn't done much as the starter in the last four games, averaging 10.0 points, 11.8 boards, 0.5 blocks and 0.3 steals. Sabonis hasn't really played well on the defensive end lately, but it's not like Al Jefferson is going to push him for minutes. He should have a more productive game against Lakers on Friday. Thursday, 9:27 pm
  • Kevin Love taking a hit from IT?
Kevin Love scored 12 points with 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes against the Magic on Thursday.

Advice: He has dropped off since Isaiah Thomas returned, averaging just 13.9 points, 7.1 boards, 1.3 assists, 0.9 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.0 treys on 39.8 percent from the field in those eight. Love's usage rate has dropped to 20.1 in his minutes with Isaiah Thomas, which is way down from his 26.6 without him. While Love may take a small hit, he really shouldn't be this bad. Consider him as a buy-low player who is fully capable of being an early-round guy. Thursday, 7:40 pm
  • Bismack Biyombo puts up 4 and 10 with 2 blks
Bismack Biyombo scored four points with 10 rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 26 minutes against the Cavs on Thursday.

Advice: It's one of his worst starts on the stat sheet, but his owners have nothing to complain about. In his last 11 starts, Biyombo has averaged 9.5 points, 11.3 boards, 2.2 blocks, 0.4 steals and 1.4 turnovers on 55.7 percent from the field and 87.1 percent from the line. Thanks to making those free throws, he's been top-30 player over this 11-game stretch. Thursday, 7:07 pm
  • Al Horford has one a solid line vs. Embiid
Al Horford scored 14 points with three rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes against the 76ers on Thursday.

Advice: Coach Brad Stevens has leaned on Horford a lot to guard Ben Simmons in this matchup, but he covered Joel Embiid more down the stretch during this loss. Horford trails only DeMarcus Cousins and Draymond Green for total assists among PF/Cs and he's been one of the most well-rounded fantasy bigs over the last decade. Thursday, 6:42 pm

  • Marquese Chriss (hip) may need second MRI
Marquese Chriss (right hip) will not play on Friday and he's considering getting a second MRI.

Advice: Chriss was injured on Jan. 7 and initially diagnosed with a strained hip flexor. The fact that he's considering another MRI suggests it's not responding to therapy as he'd hoped, but we'll know more in the coming days. Owners should brace themselves for more DNPs while awaiting updates -- Dragan Bender gains the most if Chriss misses time. Thursday, 12:52 pm
  • Woj: Derrick Favors is 'available'
On ESPN's The Jump, Adrian Wojnarowski said that Derrick Favors is "available" and that teams are calling about him.

Advice: Wojnarowski mentions the Cavaliers as a potential suitor, and it's no secret that they could use some rim protection -- they've also been linked to DeAndre Jordan. Favors has an expiring contract which is attractive to a team like Cleveland, and it makes sense for Jazz to entertain offers or he could simply walk as a free agent this summer. Thursday, 7:25 am
  • JaMychal Green posts 18 & 13 vs. Knicks
JaMychal Green racked up 18 points, 13 rebounds (seven offensive), three assists, three 3-pointers and one steal in 27 minutes vs. the Knicks.

Advice: Marc Gasol and Brandan Wright were both away from the team recovering from illnesses, which left the frontcourt very thin. Green, Deyonta Davis and Jarell Martin all saw their roles increase as a result, and Green is quietly building up steam in January. He's averaging 12.0 points, 8.3 boards, 1.4 assists, 1.1 steals, 0.6 blocks and 1.1 triples this month, and should only see his role expand down the stretch. Wednesday, 9:12 pm
  • Jonas Valanciunas notches 17 & 16 in victory
The Raptors earned their 30th win of the season on Wednesday, aided by Jonas Valanciunas' 17 points, 16 rebounds, three assists and one block in 27 minutes.

Advice: This was the bounce-back performance owners wanted after JV logged just 14 minutes on Monday. He's been exceptionally productive when on the court, which enables him to hold standard-league value in just 20 minutes per game. Playing time shouldn't be an issue vs. the Spurs' big frontcourt on Friday, either. Wednesday, 8:57 pm
  • LaMarcus Aldridge scores 34 points vs. Nets
LaMarcus Aldridge feasted against the Nets during a 100-95 win on Wednesday, adding eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 38 minutes.

Advice: The Spurs are back to being LMA's team with Kawhi Leonard (quad) out indefinitely. Aldridge gets a massive 7.7 usage rate bump when he's not next to Kawhi this year while he is better on the boards and as an assist man. His fantasy owners should expect him to put up early-round value for the foreseeable future. Wednesday, 8:31 pm
  • DeAndre Jordan (ankle) will not play vs. DEN
DeAndre Jordan (ankle) will not play against the Nuggets on Wednesday.

Advice: He was not expected to play all day and the Clippers will have their hands full against Nikola Jokic. The Clippers could turn to Willie Reed here, but Montrezl Harrell seems like he's a safe bet for at least 24 minutes. Jordan will miss his third game with this injury, so this will be just the second season since 2010-11 in which he's missed more than two games. Wednesday, 6:01 pm
  • Brandan Wright will not play due to illness
Brandan Wright (illness) will not play against the Knicks on Wednesday.

Advice: He's been out of the rotation anyway, so the Grizzlies won't miss him too much. Although, not having Marc Gasol (illness) means Deyonta Davis should have some extended run heading his way tonight. Wednesday, 3:23 pm
  • Derrick Favors could be an option for CLE
Derrick Favors could be a potential trade target for the Cavs, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Advice: Cleveland is looking to add some size, and Favors is available, so it'll be interesting to see if anything becomes of this report. Favors value in Cleveland would depend on the moving pieces, but it's tough to see him improving his stock with the Cavs. He's also been linked to the Bulls, but his value would likely take a hit there if they didn't also move Robin Lopez. Wednesday, 7:30 am
  • Report: DeAndre Jordan interested in Houston
DeAndre Jordan wants to be traded to the Rockets, according to "sources" of Stephen A. Smith.

Advice: It's been a very long time since Stephen A. Smith reported something accurately, so we wouldn't read to much into this claim from his anonymous sources, as clicks and headlines tend to take precedence over actual reporting when it comes to Stephen A. The Clippers are currently sitting on the No. 7 seed out West, and as long as they're in the playoff hunt, they'll be much less likely to move Jordan. Wednesday, 7:22 am
  • Jusuf Nurkic plays just 22 minutes in win
Jusuf Nurkic hit 4-of-9 shots for nine points, seven rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 22 minutes of Tuesday's easy win over the Suns.

Advice: He played the opening six minutes of the game but was then benched for the rest of the first half, despite not being in foul trouble. His minutes got back on track in the second half, but it is concerning that he's only played 22 and 20 minutes in each of his last two games. Nurkic will look to get back on track against the Pacers on Thursday, and then has a dream matchup against the Mavericks on Saturday. Dallas gets torched by opposing centers every night and Nikola Jokic put them on blast for 29 points, 18 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block tonight. Tuesday, 9:41 pm
  • Dirk Nowitzki plays 23 minutes, six points
Dirk Nowitzki played just 23 minutes and hit 3-of-5 shots for six points, four rebounds and a steal in Tuesday's 105-102 loss to the Nuggets.

Advice: Nikola Jokic destroyed the center-less Macs tonight and Dallas made their big comeback in the fourth quarter with Dirk on the bench. Dirk has been a pleasant surprise this season, but has scored six or fewer points in three of his last five games. While it's possible he's running out of gas, the fact that he's playing a lot of center for Dallas may also be taking its toll. He'll try to bounce back against Jusuf Nurkic and the Blazers on Saturday, which should be interesting after Nurkic was benched for a big part of Tuesdays' Blazers' game. Tuesday, 8:39 pm
  • Al Horford scores 14 points in loss
Al Horford (calf) scored 14 points on 5-of-9 shots in Tuesday's overtime loss to the Pelicans.

Advice: He's been banged up lately with a sore knee and sore calf, but he's had plenty of time off to rest and it's a great sign that he played 38 minutes tonight. Horford hit four 3-pointers for the eighth time of his career in the loss, adding nine rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block. The Celtics were bullied by Anthony Davis tonight and Horford will have his hands full again on Thursday vs. Joel Embiid and the 76ers. Tuesday, 7:37 pm

  • Bismack Biyombo double-doubles w/ 5 blocks
Bismack Biyombo dominated the Wolves with 10 points, 16 rebounds (six offensive), two assists, one steal and five blocks in a 108-102 win on Tuesday.

Advice: That's his 17th career game with five or more blocks and his second of the season (he also had five blocks on Dec. 26). Biyombo has been dominant over his last three games with 15.0 points, 12.6 rebounds and 2.3 blocks, and while he'll continue to eat while Nikola Vucevic (hand) is out, the Magic will have a tough decision on their hands around the trade deadline -- Vucevic is on the books for $12.7 million next season and could be a trade candidate with Orlando looking at another lost season. Tuesday, 6:30 pm
  • DeAndre Jordan (ankle) is questionable
DeAndre Jordan (ankle) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: He's missed two games in a row and coach Doc Rivers said on Monday that he'd be surprised if Jordan returned before the weekend. Willie Reed has had one strong game and one dud in Jordan's absence, but he'll be in the streaming conversation if DJ sits again. Tuesday, 6:06 pm
  • Al Horford (calf) will play Tuesday vs. NO
Al Horford (calf) will play Tuesday vs. the Pelicans.

Advice: Horford was never in any danger of missing Tuesday's game, but now we have official confirmation. Go ahead and get him active. Tuesday, 2:51 pm
    Player Note
    Al Horford Bos - PF,C
  • Marquese Chriss, Warren out Tuesday vs. POR
Marquese Chriss (hip) and T.J. Warren (back) will not play Tuesday vs. the Trail Blazers.

Advice: This will be Chriss' third straight game on the sidelines, and at this point, it's not clear exactly when he'll be back on the court. That said, Chriss was playing so well prior to going down, we'd advise trying to hang on in most leagues. With Chriss and Warren unavailable on Tuesday, Josh Jackson figures to earn another start with Devin Booker doing the heavy lifting on offense. Dragan Bender will also get another start, and he's someone to think about as a streamer. Tuesday, 12:34 pm
  • Marquese Chriss (hip) doubtful Tuesday
Marquese Chriss (hip) is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game vs. Portland.

Advice: Chriss has missed each of the Suns last two games. If he is unable to play on Tuesday, Dragan Bender will likely draw another start. Bender had a disappointing dud on Sunday (zero points on 0-of-7 shooting), but was averaging 17.0 points, 7.0 boards, 4.5 triples, 3.0 assists, 2.5 blocks in the two games prior. Tuesday, 6:29 am
  • DeAndre Jordan (ankle) out vs. the Rockets
DeAndre Jordan (ankle) will not play on Monday vs. the Rockets.

Advice: We've been in the dark for a while here with nothing but the game notes to go by, but coach Doc Rivers confirmed that DJ is out tonight and added that he would be surprised if he played on Wednesday vs. the Nuggets. Willie Reed was terrific on Saturday in a fill-in start, putting up 14 points with 13 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals in 26 minutes. Monday, 5:52 pm
  • JaMychal Green just missed double-double
JaMychal Green hit 4-of-8 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points, nine rebounds and one assist in Monday's 123-114 win over the Lakers.

Advice: Green went off for 20 points, 14 rebounds, two steals and a block last Wednesday, then had a five-point dud on Friday before playing fairly well today. He's not going to do much besides score and rebound, and he doesn't exactly destroy those categories, but he's playing well enough to be given a look in most leagues if you're desperate for a big man. Monday, 5:34 pm
  • Julius Randle quiet in loss to Grizzlies
Julius Randle played just 22 minutes and had nine points, eight rebounds, a steal and a block on 2-of-7 shooting in Monday's loss to the Grizzlies.

Advice: Randle is alternating big games with duds right now and the Lakers were getting blown out in this one. Luke Walton rolled mostly with his bench brigade in the second half and this was a disappointing night for Randle, given that both Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball were out with injuries. Randle had 23 points and 15 boards in his previous game and will look to get back on track against the Thunder on Wednesday night. Hang in there with him. Monday, 5:12 pm
  • LaMarcus Aldridge drops 25 & 11 on Hawks
LaMarcus Aldridge hit 11-of-21 shots and a 3-pointer for 25 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block in 35 minutes.

Advice: Aldridge was great again today, while Pau Gasol took a backseat and had a very quiet 21 minutes. Aldridge has clearly become the leader of this team with Kawhi Leonard's lost season in progress, while Gasol has been hit-or-miss all season. The Spurs were 20-2 vs. the Hawks since 2006, but that number went to 20-3 with the loss. Monday, 2:32 pm
  • Myles Turner (elbow) ruled out for road trip
Myles Turner (elbow) has been ruled out for Indiana's four-game road trip.

Advice: Turner has been diagnosed with a ligament sprain and muscle strain in his right (shooting) elbow, and while the injury will not require surgery, he'll be fitted with a brace and be listed as week-to-week. Unfortunately, it sounds like this could be a long-term absence, but Turner offers way too much upside to outright cut in most scenarios. Domantas Sabonis will be the starter moving forward, and he needs to be owned in all leagues with no clear return date in sight for Turner. Jan 15, 11:53 am
  • Al Horford (knee) is probable for Tuesday
Al Horford (knee) is probable for Tuesday's game vs. the Pelicans.

Advice: Horford missed Saturday's practice as a precaution, but he was back on the floor for Monday's practice as expected. His status for Tuesday was never really in doubt, but we'll have another update after their morning shootaround to be safe. Jan 15, 10:22 am
    Player Note
    Al Horford Bos - PF,C
  • Alex Len double-doubles in 19 minutes
Alex Len notched his first double-double in nearly a month on Sunday, coming off the bench for 12 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and one block in 19 minutes.

Advice: Len hit 6-of-7 field goals but he was 0-of-2 at the line, and his extreme efficiency masks the fact that he played fewer than 20 minutes for the fifth consecutive game. The potential is obvious, but Len is impossible to trust while Tyson Chandler is active and the frontcourt rotation includes Marquese Chriss, Dragan Bender and (occasionally) Greg Monroe. Jan 14, 9:59 pm
  • Jusuf Nurkic quiet in 20 minutes vs. Wolves
Jusuf Nurkic had eight points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal in just 20 minutes during Sunday's 120-103 loss in Minnesota.

Advice: The Blazers' big man has struggled with consistency all season, so this is nothing new for fantasy owners. He was coming off a strong effort in 31 minutes on Friday but couldn't keep up with Karl-Anthony Towns defensively tonight, which helps explain the dip in playing time. We expect to see him back in his typical 24-30 minute range in the Blazers' upcoming three-game week. Jan 14, 9:15 pm
  • Greg Monroe yanked after three minutes
Greg Monroe briefly emerged in the Suns' rotation on Sunday, posting one assist in three minutes off the bench.

Advice: Monroe hadn't played since Jan. 3, a stretch of three consecutive DNP-CDs, and he was barely a blip tonight -- he gave up a pair of baskets to Al Jefferson and was immediately yanked by coach Jay Triano. As long as he's in Phoenix, and Tyson Chandler is active, there's no incentive to own Monroe. Jan 14, 7:33 pm
  • Domantas Sabonis (shoulder) gets 14 rebounds
Domantas Sabonis grabbed 14 rebounds as a starter on Sunday, but was otherwise quiet with four points on 2-of-5 shooting, one assist and zero defensive stats in 24 minutes.

Advice: Sabonis was limited by the lopsided score tonight, not his shoulder, and this snapped a streak of five games with double-digit points. Myles Turner (arm) has already been ruled out one more game and it's unclear when he might return, so Sabonis will have a chance to bounce back quickly vs. Utah on Monday. Jan 14, 7:27 pm
  • Myles Turner (elbow) ruled out for Monday
Myles Turner (elbow) will not play on Monday and coach Nate McMillan couldn't guarantee that he'll return during the Pacers' current road trip.

Advice: Turner is traveling with the team but McMillan said "we haven’t talked about his return date yet." His next opportunities to play will be Thursday in Portland and Friday in L.A., so owners should check for updates over the next few days. Domantas Sabonis should continue to play heavy minutes as a starter on Monday, with Al Jefferson getting added responsibility with the second unit. Jan 14, 3:51 pm
  • Domantas Sabonis (shoulder) will play Sunday
Domantas Sabonis (shoulder) will start on Sunday vs. the Suns.

Advice: Myles Turner (elbow) is out, so Sabonis will start, and he'll be someone to consider in daily leagues with a favorable matchup against Phoenix. Season-long owners shouldn't hesitate to get him active. Jan 14, 3:43 pm
  • DeAndre Jordan (ankle) questionable Monday
DeAndre Jordan (ankle) is being listed as questionable for Monday's game against Houston.

Advice: We should get another update following Monday morning's shootaround, but Jordan is likely headed for a game-time decision. If he's out, Willie Reed would be in line for another start, and he'd be someone to think about as a streamer after posting a 14-point, 13-board double-double as a starter on Saturday. Montrezl Harrell would also have the opportunity for extended minutes. Stay tuned. Jan 14, 3:38 pm
  • Marquese Chriss (hip) out Sunday vs. Indiana
Marquese Chriss (hip) will not suit up for Sunday's game against the Pacers, as expected.

Advice: Chriss was unable to practice on Saturday, so there wasn't really ever a chance of him suiting up for Sunday's game. Dragan Bender has been fantastic in his absence with averages of 17.0 points, 7.0 boards, 4.5 triples, 3.0 assists, 2.5 blocks and just 1.0 turnover per game over the past two, so he'll be a popular DFS play tonight. The Suns play again on Tuesday in Portland, and for now, we'll be considering Chriss questionable for that one. Jan 14, 3:33 pm
  • LaMarcus Aldridge plays 27 minutes in rout
LaMarcus Aldridge posted 15 points, five rebounds, a steal and a blocked shot over 27 minutes in Saturday's 112-80 blowout win against the Nuggets.

Advice: Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard lasted slightly longer than some of the others in the starting five, but they powered it down for most of the fourth quarter with the team hammering the visitors. It's a favorable upcoming week for Aldridge and the Spurs, as they have a four-game week starting Monday in Atlanta with no back-to-back situations. Jan 13, 8:49 pm
  • Julius Randle double-doubles in overtime win
Julius Randle posted a 23-point, 15-board double-double during Saturday's overtime win over the Mavs, adding two assists and seven turnovers over 33 minutes.

Advice: Randle scored the first points of the game for the Lakers, and also hit the game-clinching basket on an impressive putback bucket in OT, so all in all this was a solid performance following Thursday's scoreless outing. With Brandon Ingram (ankle) and Larry Nance Jr. (eye) going down in this one, Randle could be looking at big minutes on Monday in Memphis if neither of those guys can play. Jan 13, 2:28 pm
  • Domantas Sabonis (shoulder) questionable Sun
Domantas Sabonis (sore left shoulder) is questionable to face the Suns on Sunday.

Advice: Myles Turner (elbow) has already been ruled out for Sunday's game, and the Pacers may want to play it safe with Sabonis with Sunday being the first game of a back-to-back set. If he's out, Al Jefferson would have the chance to start and there would be more minutes available for T.J. Leaf. Check back for another update following Sunday morning's shootaround. Jan 13, 2:08 pm
  • Myles Turner (elbow) out Sunday vs. the Suns
Myles Turner (elbow) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Phoenix.

Advice: This will be Turner's third straight game on the sidelines, and with Domantas Sabonis (shoulder) being listed as questionable for Sunday's game, Al Jefferson could potentially be looking at a start. Sunday will be the first game of a back-to-back set for the Pacers, so that may have factored into Indiana's decision to keep him on the sidelines with the sore elbow, but perhaps he'll be able to get back out there on Monday in Utah. Stay tuned. Jan 13, 2:06 pm
  • Marquese Chriss doesn't practice Saturday
Marquese Chriss (hip flexor) was unable to practice on Saturday.

Advice: The Suns are listing him as day-to-day, but with Chriss sitting out Saturday's practice, we're going to have to consider him doubtful for Sunday's game against the Pacers. Dragan Bender figures to earn another start on Sunday with Chriss out, so he'll make for a very enticing DFS target with a favorable matchup against Indiana. Jan 13, 1:00 pm
  • Rudy Gobert (knee) out at least one more week
Rudy Gobert (knee) was re-evaluated on Saturday and it was determined that he'll need to spend another 7-10 days on the sidelines.

Advice: Gobert has recently begun going through light practices with non-contact work, so he is making progress. That said, until he's going through 5-on-5, full-contact work, we can assume he's not close. Derrick Favors will continue to hold down the five-spot in his absence, with Thabo Sefolosha and Jonas Jerebko moving in and out of the starting five based on the matchup. Jan 13, 11:48 am
  • Al Horford (calf) doesn't practice Saturday
Al Horford (knee) was held out of Saturday's practice as a precaution.

Advice: Horford said he feels good, and with the Celtics off until Tuesday, we wouldn't expect this calf issue to be something that forces him to the sidelines. We'll throw him on the injury report just to be safe, and owners can expect to get another couple updates ahead of Tuesday's tip. Jan 13, 11:10 am
    Player Note
    Al Horford Bos - PF,C
  • DeAndre Jordan (ankle) will not play Saturday
Coach Doc Rivers said DeAndre Jordan (left ankle sprain) will not play Saturday vs. the Kings.

Advice: The good news is Rivers told reporters that he doesn't think Jordan will miss much time and that Jordan wanted to play on Saturday. Willie Reed will draw the start in place of Jordan at center on Saturday. However, Montrezl Harrell could be the biggest beneficiary from a fantasy standpoint. Harrell scored a season-high 25 points (on 11-of-12 shooting) and added six rebounds and a steal in 27 minutes on Thursday. Jan 13, 10:51 am
  • Jusuf Nurkic goes for 19 points in road loss
Jusuf Nurkic finished with 19 points across 31 minutes in Friday's 119-113 loss at New Orleans.

Advice: Nurkic was a very efficient 7-of-9 from the field and 5-of-6 from the charity stripe while adding five rebounds, three blocked shots, two assists and a steal. The Pelicans didn't do very well on interior defense and Nurk was able to take advantage. It was a very nice bounce back game after his dud Wednesday in Houston snapped a five-game streak with 10 or more points. Jan 12, 9:17 pm
  • Bismack Biyombo goes for 21 and 13 in loss
Bismack Biyombo erupted for a career-high 21 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots and a steal over 33 minutes in Friday's 125-119 loss at Washington.

Advice: Biyombo was outstanding, hitting 8-of-9 from the field and 5-of-6 from the free-throw stripe. The Zaire native continues to be a decent fantasy option when the matchup is favorable, as he fills in for the injured Nikola Vucevic (hand). He'll have his hands full next time out on Tuesday night when Karl-Anthony Towns and the Timberwolves invade Orlando. Jan 12, 8:36 pm
  • Domantas Sabonis grabs 15 boards in victory
Domantas Sabonis made another start Friday against Cleveland, finishing with 12 points, 15 rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot over 28 minutes.

Advice: Sabonis was a beast on the glass, and he might have done a little more if not for four personal fouls. It was a good matchup against the small-ball Cavs, and he excelled in place of the injured Myles Turner (elbow). He has some short-term fantasy appeal heading into Sunday's game in Phoenix as long as Turner remains on the shelf, and Sabonis is a great value in DFS with a low salary and plenty of upside. Jan 12, 7:38 pm
  • Kevin Love has strong game in road loss
Kevin Love finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and a blocked shot across 36 minutes in Friday's 97-95 loss in Indiana.

Advice: The Cavs are in a bit of a funk, but Love played well in this one. He was 8-of-14 from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 from the line while leading the team with a plus-9 rating. It was a much-needed good performance after he entered the game shooting just 12-of-43 (27.9 percent) from the floor over his past four outings. He'll look to continue the good work on MLK Day against the visiting Warriors. Jan 12, 7:09 pm
  • Derrick Favors struggles in return
Derrick Favors (ankle) was quiet on offense in his return to action on Friday vs. the Hornets, scoring five points on 2-of-4 shooting with seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 29 minutes.

Advice: Dwight Howard and the Hornets have allowed the second fewest fantasy points to centers this season, so the matchup didn't do him any favors. Rudy Gobert (knee) is scheduled to be re-evaluated later this weekend and the Jazz have been linked to Chicago's Nikola Mirotic, so Favors' rest-of-season outlook is a little bleak unless he is a part of any deal. Jan 12, 6:50 pm
  • Derrick Favors (ankle) will start on Friday
Updating a previous report, Derrick Favors (ankle) will be in the starting lineup for Friday's matchup with Charlotte.

Advice: Favors only missed one game with the minor ankle issue, and there haven't been any reports of a minutes limit, so owners can feel free to throw him out there for tonight's game. Ekpe Udoh will return to the bench, and as a reserve, Udoh can't be considered a viable target in most leagues. Jan 12, 3:10 pm
  • Derrick Favors (ankle) will play on Friday
Derrick Favors (ankle) will play Friday vs. the Hornets.

Advice: Favors missed Wednesday's game with the minor right ankle sprain, but he's a full four days off, so he should be good to go without any restrictions tonight. With Favors back in the mix, Ekpe Udoh will lose most of his value with the return to the second unit, and Jonas Jerebko won't play as much. Jan 12, 2:33 pm
  • Julius Randle fails to score in 18 minutes
Julius Randle played just 18 minutes and missed all six of his shots, failing to score for the first time this season in Thursday's win over the Spurs.

Advice: He picked up three fouls in the first half and saw his minutes limited, while Larry Nance had one of his better games of the season. It was a bad combination for Randle, who was coming off a big game on Tuesday when he had 22 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, a steal and a 3-pointer. Randle had been rolling, but it just wasn't his night. Don't drop him, but do look for him to bounce back against the Mavericks on Saturday. Jan 11, 10:50 pm
