    Advice: After receiving significant criticism for his play in the aftermath of Dallas’ Game 3 loss on Wednesday, Doncic was better in Game 4. He scored 25 points in the first half, becoming the third-youngest player to score at least 25 or more in the first half of an NBA Finals game. The only two players ahead of Luka on that list are Kyrie Irving (2017) and Hakeem Olajuwon (1986).     According to Yahoo Sports’ Donovan Mitchell, the expectation across the league is that Donovan Mitchell will sign a contract extension with the Cavaliers this summer.

    Advice: Mitchell can sign an extension this summer, and Cleveland must get something done. Given how much the franchise gave up in acquiring him from the Jazz in 2022, the last thing the Cavaliers need is to have Mitchell going into the final season of his contract without a deal. According to Fischer, the feeling across the league is that the two sides will get something done, locking in Mitchell as a cornerstone for a team that hopes to contend in the East.     Advice: Luka Doncic was disqualified in the fourth after picking up his sixth foul, meaning Irving had to step his game up, and the veteran floor general was Dallas' most reliable scoring alternative throughout the entire contest. Irving bounced back from two subpar outings in the first two games of the series, but not even his highest scoring mark of the current postseason run was enough to lift Dallas to victory. Irving will aim to keep the momentum going ahead of Game 4 on Friday, as the Mavericks will have their backs against the wall for the remainder of the series due to their 0-3 deficit.     Advice: White was ice-cold in the first half but hit some clutch second-half three-pointers to help Boston take a 3-0 Finals lead. His two blocks highlighted a Celtics defensive effort that once again held Dallas under 100 points. The veteran guard was one of four Boston starters to see over 40 minutes of run.     Advice: Having struggled in the first two games of the NBA Finals, Irving apologized to teammate Luka Doncic between Games 2 and 3. He stepped up on Wednesday, knocking down four 3-pointers and scoring a game-high 35 points. Irving was at his best during the first half, shooting 8-of-14 from the field and scoring 20 points. However, like many of his teammates, things took a downward turn during the third quarter, and the Mavericks’ fourth-quarter rally was a case of “too little, too late.” Irving, who has lost his last 14 games against the Celtics, will look to avoid being swept on Friday night.     Advice: White has scored at least 15 points in seven of Boston’s last eight games, with the Game 3 win over Indiana in the Eastern Conference Finals being the exception. On Wednesday, he hit four 3-pointers for the second straight game, providing solid offensive production on a night when stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined to score 61 points. White has also blocked two shots in two straight games, totaling 11 rejections in his last five. He and the Celtics will look to close out the series on Friday night, and no team in NBA history has blown a 3-0 lead.
