      Advice: White embraced a bigger role on offense on a night when Jayson Tatum struggled (7-19 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), and the former responded by delivering his third consecutive game with 25 or more points. White has taken a step forward due to Kristaps Porzingis (calf) being sidelined, and it'd be fair to consider him Boston's third-best offensive weapon under the current lineup construction. White will aim to keep the streak alive in Game 2 on Thursday, as the Celtics have gone 20-3 this season when he's scored 20 or more points between the regular season and the playoffs.       Garland had 14 points (6-15 FG, 2-8 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and one steal over 36 minutes during Tuesday's 120-95 loss to the Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

      Advice: Garland is in line for a rough matchup in this series, as he'll have to deal with two excellent defenders in Jrue Holiday and Derrick White, so his Game 1 display is not entirely surprising. He didn't have his best performances in the first-round series against the Magic either, and he's averaging just 14.8 points and 5.4 assists per game through eight playoff appearances. In fact, Garland has failed to surpass the 15-point mark in six of his eight playoff outings, a clear downgrade after averaging 18.0 points per contest during the regular season.       Gafford totaled 16 points (5-12 FG, 6-8 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and five blocks across 27 minutes during Tuesday's 117-95 loss to the Thunder in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

      Advice: Gafford recorded a double-double in the loss, adding five blocks. It was arguably his best performance of the postseason and something the Mavericks are going to need more of should they hope to advance to the Conference Finals.       Daniel Gafford recorded a double-double on Tuesday with 16 points (5-of-12 FGs), 11 rebounds, one assist and five blocks against the Thunder.

      Advice: Gafford had a quiet first round series against the Clippers, but he was much better in the first game of this series. He recorded his first double-double of this postseason and swatted five shots, which was his highest block total in a game since March. Gafford has a better matchup in this series, and with Maxi Kleber sidelined for at least three weeks, he’ll continue to see extra minutes.       Derrick White lit up the Cavaliers with 25 points (9-of-16 FGs), one rebound, five assists and seven triples in Game 1 on Tuesday.

      Advice: White was solid in the first half of this game, but he caught fire in the third, scoring 14 of his 25 points in the period. White has been arguably the best player for the Celtics during this postseason, and this was his third straight game with at least 25 points. Boston is one of the deepest teams in the league, and White has stepped up with Kristaps Porzingis injured.       Garland finished with 12 points (3-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, four assists and three steals across 30 minutes during Sunday's 106-94 victory over the Magic in Game 7 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Garland struggled badly from the floor and finished with more field-goal attempts than points scored. However, the speedy point guard salvaged his fantasy performance by delivering decent numbers in other categories. The Cavaliers need Garland to play a more prominent role on offense during the Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup against the Celtics, as he averaged only 14.9 points per game while shooting 44.9 percent from the floor in the first round.       Lively supplied 10 points (3-3 FG, 4-8 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one steal across 24 minutes during Friday's 114-101 victory over the Clippers in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Lively was perfect from the field, active on the glass and efficient in limited minutes. The rookie has shown he can be a valuable contributor on both ends of the court when called upon, but his fantasy upside won't be high if he continues to play off the bench.       Harden finished with 16 points (5-16 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 6-7 FT), seven rebounds, 13 assists, one block and two steals over 43 minutes during Friday's 114-101 loss to Dallas in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Harden was one of the players the Clippers needed to have step up with Kawhi Leonard (knee) sidelined, but the veteran guard didn't come through. He was particularly woeful in the final two games of the series, during which he went 7-for-28 from the field, including 1-for-13 from three-point range. He averaged 21.2 points and 8.0 assists per game in the series, but the numbers don't tell the whole story, as the Clippers needed -- and expected -- more out of him, but he couldn't deliver when called upon.     • James Harden drops 16 points, 13 assists Friday
      James Harden finished Friday’s 114-101 loss to the Mavericks with 16 points (5-of-16 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), seven rebounds, 13 assists, two steals, and one blocked shot in 43 minutes.

      Advice: Harden may have dished out 13 assists while only committing one turnover in Game 6, but he struggled shooting the basketball in his final game of the season. The Beard did not play well in the series’ final two games, which was also the case for Paul George. Friday’s loss sends James into what could be another offseason of change. Harden’s season began with instability, as he made it clear that he wanted out of Philadelphia. The 76ers ultimately accommodated that desire, and after a slow start to his time with the Clippers, The Beard rounded into form. Harden’s Yahoo ADP (31.3) suffered due to the preseason questions, but he finished the year as a top 30 player in 8- and 9-cat formats. Harden will be a free agent this summer, and the Clippers could also have to negotiate a new deal with George. Look for his ADP to improve by a few spots if the Clippers keep the roster intact.
