  • Jeff Green scores three, may have hurt foot
Jeff Green scored three points with four rebounds, two assists and one turnover in 24 minutes against the Hornets on Friday.

Advice: The Magic submitted their nominee for ugliest lineup combo of 2016 tonight: D.J. Augustin, Green, Aaron Gordon, Serge Ibaka and Bismack Biyombo. Green also looked to have suffered a foot tweak in the second half and was in some pain. The Magic could need him on Saturday to play some forward minutes. 48 minutes ago
  • Bismack Biyombo dealing with sore shoulder
Bismack Biyombo is dealing with a sore left shoulder and will be re-evaluated on Saturday.

Advice: The cause for the injury isn't 100 percent clear, but he looked to have tweaked his left shoulder on a block attempt in the second half. With Nikola Vucevic (back) also getting hurt, the Magic will really need Biyombo on Saturday. If both are out, we'll see a lot of Serge Ibaka, Jeff Green and small-ball lineups. Stephen Zimmerman would also likely be activated. Biyombo finished Friday's game with nine points, three rebounds and two turnovers in 16 minutes. Today, 6:13 pm
  • Nikola Vucevic suffers lower back injury
Nikola Vucevic suffered a lower back injury in the second half on Friday and will be re-evaluated in Orlando on Saturday.

Advice: He went for a loose ball and Roy Hibbert undercut him. Vucevic landed on his right hip and was in pain on the bench for at least one minute. He's had back problems before, so hopefully this didn't tweak an older injury. The Magic do play on Saturday, so they may have to make some adjustments with more Jeff Green and a lot of small-ball combos. Vooch finished with seven points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 23 minutes. Today, 6:10 pm
  • Seth Curry (knee) will play against Indiana
Seth Curry (knee) will play against Indiana on Friday.

Advice: He's back after missing the last four due to a knee sprain. Curry does have a tougher spot for minutes with Devin Harris getting more run and Deron Williams playing some solid ball. Stephen's brother could be looking minutes around 20 in his first game back. He is worth a look in standard leagues, especially with the Mavs sliding in the standings. Today, 3:56 pm
  • Nikola Vucevic (eye) will play vs. Hornets
Nikola Vucevic (eye) will play against the Hornets on Friday night.

Advice: He will have protective goggles to cover his red right eye. Vucevic did play through his corneal abrasion on Wednesday and was never really in jeopardy of missing this game. He's fully expected to play near his 27.6 minutes per game from this year. Keep him active in a somewhat favorable matchup against the Hornets second unit. Today, 2:37 pm
  • Mike Conley could be back soon?
General manager Chris Wallace said Mike Conley (back) could return "in the near future."

Advice: Yes, this is about as vague as it gets, but it's worth a mention. Coach David Fizdale said Conley's return from his traverse process fracture could come down to pain tolerance, and Conley has been moving around a lot on the bench with all the exciting finishes lately. It may also help that the Grizzlies are on a five-game winning streak and are just 0.5 games out of the No. 3 seed. While Conley is still likely going to miss multiple weeks, he should be owned in almost all leagues and Andrew Harrison's value will fall off a cliff. Today, 2:01 pm
  • Nikola Vucevic expected to play
Nikola Vucevic (eye) is likely going to play against the Hornets on Friday barring any setback.

Advice: When Jaylen Brown caught him in the eye during Brown's emphatic dunk on Wednesday, Vucevic was in some brief pain. He stayed in the game and didn't need a timeout following the injury either. For now, expect Vooch to be a go. Today, 1:03 pm
  • Ian Clark played well on defense
Ian Clark picked up some extra minutes on Thursday because coach Steve Kerr said he liked what he saw on defense.

Advice: "I just thought Ian was playing well," Kerr said. Clark played 20 minutes on Thursday, finishing with six points, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers. Obviously Clark got a boost from the jump with Shaun Livingston (rest) getting the night off. Expect him to get more run over the weekend, especially with more players likely to rest. Today, 12:49 pm
  • Richardson likely to be on a minutes limit
Coach Erik Spoelstra suggested Josh Richardson (ankle) will have a minutes limit upon his return.

Advice: In case you missed it, he will be out Friday and could play Saturday. Richardson said he is "really close" and that the Heat called him on Thursday to have him join the team in Cleveland. He also added he won't have to play with the big knee brace because of his partially torn MCL from the offseason. It may take a few days for Richardson to get going, but it makes sense to pick him up. Today, 12:09 pm
  • Anthony Brown gets waived
    Pelicans waive F Anthony Brown.

Advice: The Pelicans need help, so Brown becomes a casualty for them. He is likely heading back to the Erie BayHawks in the D-League. Coach Alvin Gentry said the Pelicans will "definitely, probably" add a wing to replace him Today, 11:35 am
  • Paul Millsap (hip) will play Friday
Paul Millsap (hip) will play Friday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: Millsap has played in two straight games and looked good doing so, averaging 22.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 1.5 blocks. Millsap admitted earlier this week that he is currently playing through pain, but should obviously still be locked into starting lineups. Today, 10:04 am
  • Nikola Vucevic (eye) questionabe for Friday
Nikola Vucevic (right corneal abrasion) is listed as questionable for Friday against the Hornets.

Advice: Jaylen Brown dunked on Vooch and caught him in the eye, so that explains the injury. Vucevic hasn't missed a game all season, and did play through it. Since being demoted to the bench back on Nov. 27, Vooch has still be able to put up solid numbers. Over Orlando's last seven games, Vooch is averaging 13.9 points, 10.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks. Today, 9:41 am
  • Pelicans to waive Anthony Brown
New Orleans is in the process of waiving swingman Anthony Brown.

Advice: Brown was averaging just 3.8 points and 2.9 rebounds in nine games this season. He should not have been on any rosters in standard fantasy leagues. Today, 9:07 am
  • Rodney McGruder (ankle) expected to play Fri.
Rodney McGruder (ankle) is expected to play Friday vs. the Cavs.

Advice: McGruder twisted his ankle on Wednesday and was listed as questionable for Friday. However, McGruder vowed he would be ready for Friday. The Heat need him, as they are down to just nine healthy bodies. He has played a ton of minutes since being inserted into the starting lineup once the injuries hit the Heat. Over Miami's last eight games, McGruder is averaging 8.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 triples in 33.7 minutes per game Today, 8:56 am
  • Josh Richardson (ankle) will not play Friday
Josh Richardson (ankle) will not play Friday vs. the Cavs, but "might" play Saturday in Chicago.

Advice: Richardson re-joined the team on Friday in the middle of their road trip, so there was some hope he would suit up in Cleveland. However, Coach Spo told reporters that Richardson won't return to the lineup for Friday's contest. Nonetheless, the fact that Richardson flew out to join the team is obviously a positive sign. Per the team, he will be re-evaluated in hopes that he can play some minutes on Saturday Today, 8:49 am
  • Josh Richardson (ankle) rejoins the Heat
Josh Richardson (ankle, wrist) rejoined the Heat in time for Friday morning's shootaround prior to Friday night's game against the Cavaliers.

Advice: It would seem this puts Richardson on track to play Friday night; however, we are still awaiting official word from the team. Richardson has missed four straight games. The Heat remain without Luke Babbitt (hip), Justise Winslow (wrist), James Johnson (rotator cuff) and Dion Waiters (groin), who are all still in Miami rehabbing. Today, 8:25 am
  • Seth Curry (knee) will not play Friday
Seth Curry (right knee sprain) has been ruled out Friday.

Advice: This will be the fourth straight game Curry has missed due to the knee sprain. Starter Deron Williams will continue to played extended minutes. Devin Harris and Jonathan Gibson will likely see addition time off the bench. Today, 7:33 am
  • Rockets and Motiejunas agree to a new deal
Numerous outlets are reporting that the Rockets and Donatas Motiejunas' have agreed to a new deal.

Advice: It appears the drama is finally over. Motiejunas' deal with the Rockets is worth $31 million if hits no bonuses, $35 million if hits all likely bonuses and $37 million if hits every possible bonus. Although he has an intriguing upside, Motiejunas will only likely see limited minutes off the bench in Houston, especially initially as he works his way back into game shape. Today, 7:22 am
  • Kawhi Leonard scores 24 points in 38 minutes
Kawhi Leonard scored 24 points with eight rebounds, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes during a 95-91 loss in Chicago on Thursday.

Advice: On top of Kawhian Island being a scary place for his opponent, his consistency as a scorer is top notch. Leonard has scored at least 19 points in each of his 14 games. In that span, he has a 29.2 usage rate and 58.5 true shooting percentage. On the year, Leonard also has a 50.0 effective field goal percentage on his jumper and is unassisted 54.3 percent of the time on all of his makes. He's also in the top five for free throw percentage at 91.1 percent on his 6.8 attempts per game. He's an exceptional fantasy asset. Yesterday, 10:28 pm
  • LaMarcus Aldridge scores just 10 points
LaMarcus Aldridge made 5-of-15 from the field for 10 points with six rebounds, one assist, four blocks and one steal in 31 minutes on Thursday.

Advice: He's in a slump right now. Aldridge lives and dies by the midrange and has made just 32.4 percent from that range over his last five -- those shots also account for 56.7 percent of his shot total. In that five-game span, Aldridge averaged 11.6 points, 6.0 boards, 2.0 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 steals. He's a buy-low option. Yesterday, 10:13 pm
  • JaMychal Green grabs career-high 18 boards
JaMychal Green grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds against the Blazers on Thursday, scoring six points with two assists and one steal in 34 minutes.

Advice: He is cleaning up on the glass these days and it certainly helped against the Blazers. Plus, Green was credited with two extra boards back on Dec. 5, so that puts him at 14.5 boards per game over his last four. On the downside, he is not shooting the ball well over his last three, making just 6-of-24 (25 percent) in the span. Still, Green shouldn't be affected with the return of Zach Randolph, so keep him rolling in all leagues. Yesterday, 9:17 pm
  • Richaun Holmes heads back to bench
Richaun Holmes hit 4-of-6 shots for eight points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes against the Pelicans on Thursday night.

Advice: With Joel Embiid (rest) back to action, Holmes returned to his bench role and did not see much action. Jahlil Okafor (illness) and Nerlens Noel (knee) are set to return soon, so Holmes will find himself buried in this crowded front court. He has all the talent in the world, but the opportunity is just not there. It will take an injury or trade to get him a bigger role in this offense. Yesterday, 9:07 pm
  • Paul Millsap is probable for Friday
Paul Millsap (left hip soreness) is probable for Friday against the Bucks.

Advice: Millsap has said he has to fight through the pain of his current injury, but he's fully expected to play. He looked good on Wednesday with 21 points and a full line on Wednesday. Yesterday, 2:07 pm
  • Rockets will hold Motiejunas to offer sheet
The Rockets will hold Donatas Motiejunas to the offer sheet he signed, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Advice: This means they won't be returning him to restricted free agency. The Rockets are going to play the waiting game and hope D-Mo changes his mind, as he is reportedly at odds with Houston because of a difference of nearly $6 million from the offer sheet he signed with the Nets. He won't have much fantasy value in Houston, so he's not a great stash unless his situation changes. Yesterday, 11:10 am
  • Rodney McGruder (ankle) questionable Friday
Rodney McGruder (ankle) is questionable for Friday's game vs. Cleveland.

Advice: The Heat will only have eight available players if McGruder sits, but he already vowed to play Friday. He's played 31 or more minutes in four straight games, but he's just a low-end punt in DFS until the Heat get some bodies back. Yesterday, 11:00 am
  • Paul Millsap gets 21 pts, 9 reb, 4 stl, 3 blk
Paul Millsap (hip) scored 21 points on 8-of-12 FGs and 5-of-6 FTs during Wednesday's 103-95 win vs. the Heat, adding nine boards, two assists, four steals and three blocks in 32 minutes.

Advice: Millsap admitted before the game that his hip still hurts, saying that he's "just playing through and seeing what happens. Hopefully, getting better." That's not entirely encouraging for fantasy owners, but tonight's vintage-Sapper production was a terrific indication that he's feeling better. There's no reason to think he's in imminent danger of missing games. Wednesday, 7:57 pm
  • Rodney McGruder (ankle) vows to play Friday
Rodney McGruder (ankle) vowed to play in Friday's game vs. the Cavaliers.

Advice: McGruder injured his ankle in the second quarter, but he returned to start the second half. He said afterward that he's "fine" and will play Friday, but a player's self-assessment isn't always the most reliable. If he's ruled out, the already short-handed Heat will have to get very creative to field a competitive lineup. Wednesday, 7:39 pm
  • Jeff Green cools off w/ three pts Wednesday
Jeff Green's streak of double-digit scoring ended on Wednesday with just three points on 1-of-5 shooting in 22 minutes.

Advice: Green added two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer, but he never got into the flow offensively -- in fairness, neither did any of his teammates. One lousy game isn't sufficient cause to cut him in deeper leagues, but this is a reminder that he tends to run hot and cold. Wednesday, 7:31 pm
  • Nikola Vucevic posts quiet double-double
Nikola Vucevic had a quiet double-double vs. the Celtics, coming off the bench for 12 points on 5-of-14 shooting, 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 27 minutes.

Advice: Frank Vogel continues to divvy up playing time evenly, with eight players getting between 22-29 minutes tonight. As frustrating as it is for Vuc's owners to see him losing minutes to Bismack Biyombo, there's no cause for panic -- he was red hot for the past few weeks and still has eight double-doubles in his past nine games. Wednesday, 7:28 pm
  • Seth Curry doesn't have a target date
Seth Curry (knee) doesn't have a specific timetable to return, according to coach Rick Carlisle.

Advice: This doesn't mean he's going to miss extended time. Curry went through morning shootraround and appears to be close to action. He has a good chance to play this weekend and is worth a pickup in competitive leagues. Jonathan Gibson and Justin Anderson should get a few extra minutes behind the starters. Wednesday, 4:03 pm
  • Motiejunas not reporting because of money
Donatas Motiejunas won't report to the Rockets because of a difference of nearly $6 million from the offer sheet he signed with the Nets, according to Calvin Watkins of

Advice: Motiejunas signed a four-year, $37 million offer sheet with the Nets last week, but the Rockets only had to match the principle terms of the offer sheet. That explains the $6 million difference. According to the report, "Houston's options are to keep their first-refusal exercise notice open and wait for Motiejunas to report. If he doesn't report, Houston can pull the offer Thursday and Motiejunas would become a restricted free agent." Wednesday, 11:55 am
  • Seth Curry (knee) out Wednesday vs. the Kings
Seth Curry (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Kings.

Advice: With Curry and J.J. Barea (calf) on the sidelines Wednesday night, Deron Williams will likely see his minutes in the high-30s, with Devin Haris seeing close to 20 minutes off the bench. For now, we'll be considering Curry questionable for Friday's game against the Pacers. Wednesday, 9:18 am
  • Paul Millsap (hip) will play through the pain
Paul Millsap (hip) said he will fight through the pain, and he fully intends to play Wednesday vs. the Heat.

Advice: "It’s sore," Millsap said after practice Tuesday. "It’s something that probably will have to be dealt with. By that I mean just playing through and see what happens. Hopefully, getting better." Millsap is being listed as probable for tonight's game, and after returning from his three-game stint on the sidelines Monday night and going through Tuesday's practice, there's no reason to believe he'll miss Wednesday's game. Get him active. Wednesday, 6:32 am
  • Kawhi Leonard goes off against Wolves
Kawhi Leonard hit 11-of-15 shots for 31 points, one rebound, four assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes of Tuesday's win over the Wolves.

Advice: It's not a season high in points for Kawhi, but it's close. He scored 34 points way back on Nov. 9, and hadn't scored more than 23 points in his previous six games. Leonard didn't exactly crush the stat sheet like he's capable of doing, but he did fill it. He hasn't had a night off yet this season, so it's time to start watching for news that Gregg Popovich will sit him for a game. But if you drafted Leonard and have been disappointed with his output, tonight was a nice step in the right direction. Tuesday, 8:51 pm
  • JaMychal Green double-doubles in win
JaMychal Green double-doubled against the 76ers on Tuesday, scoring 13 points with 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in 34 minutes.

Advice: More importantly, his role wasn't impacted by the return of Zach Randolph (personal). Green only shot 2-of-7 from the field, but made up for it by hitting 9-of-10 free throws. He's been a beast over his last five games with averages of 11.6 points, 10.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 block and 2.0 steals in 34.6 minutes per game and shouldn't be on the waiver wire in standard leagues. Tuesday, 8:33 pm
  • LaMarcus Aldridge awful vs. Wolves
LaMarcus Aldridge hit just 3-of-8 shots for six points, two rebounds, three steals and no blocks in 30 minutes of Tuesday's win over the Wolves.

Advice: Aldridge played pretty well in his previous two games, scoring 18 and 19 points, but had just five points on 2-of-9 shooting last Wednesday. LMA has been hit or miss under Gregg Popovich this season and is fairly unreliable. He's still a solid player to hold and use in season-long leagues, but we simply don't trust him in DFS. And tonight's a good reason as to why. Tuesday, 8:29 pm
  • Richaun Holmes blocks three shots in start
Richaun Holmes started at center on Tuesday vs. Memphis and played well, scoring 10 points on 5-of-13 shooting with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and three blocks in 34 minutes.

Advice: So much upside. Unfortunately, Holmes is buried on the bench this season and only picked up a lot of run because Joel Embiid was resting and Jahlil Okafor was out with an illness. Nerlens Noel (knee) is also on the way back, so it's going to be tough for Holmes to emerge unless a trade or two opens up some minutes in Philly. Tuesday, 8:01 pm
  • Nik Vucevic goes for 10-10-6 in win
Nikola Vucevic hit 4-of-9 shots and finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, a steal and zero blocks in 25 minutes off the bench on Tuesday.

Advice: He's been rolling off the bench, but Bismarck Biyombo finally got hot offensively and played good defense on Marcin Gortat tonight, hurting Vuc's minutes in the process. Vuc is still averaging 13.6 points, 10.0 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 1.4 blocks over his last five games, but unfortunately, the Biyombo timeshare has become a reality. Tuesday, 7:19 pm
  • Jeff Green scores 20 in win over Wiz
Jeff Green came off the bench and hit 6-of-9 shots, a 3-pointer and 7-of-8 free throws for 20 points, three rebounds and a steal in 25 minutes on Tuesday.

Advice: Green is rolling right now, scoring between 14 and 20 points in each of his last four games, and averaging 14 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 3-pointers on 51 percent shooting over his last five. He's coming off the bench behind Aaron Gordon, but is getting 26 minutes a night, making him worth a look on your waiver wire if you've got a player you've been wanting to drop. Tuesday, 7:15 pm
  • Bismack Biyombo drops 14-13-3 line on Wiz
Bismack Biyombo hit 4-of-7 shots and 6-of-13 free throws for a season-high 14 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks in Tuesday's nice win over the Wizards.

Advice: Biyombo held Marcin Gortat in check and is shooting it much better lately, hitting seven of his last 11 shots. Shooting had been a problem recently for Biyombo, but he's righted the ship. As long as he's starting for the Magic, he's worth owning in fantasy leagues. Tonight marked his third double-double of the season, but that number would be a lot higher if he could score consistently. Tuesday, 7:01 pm
  • Richaun Holmes starting Tuesday vs. Memphis
Richaun Holmes will draw the start for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies with both Joel Embiid (rest) and Jahlil Okafor (gastroenteritis) on the sidelines.

Advice: It's not the best matchup for Holmes, but if he can just keep himself out of foul trouble he could be a nice DFS play tonight with zero depth behind him. Sergio Rodriguez, Nik Stauskas, Gerald Henderson and Ersan Ilyasova will join Holmes in the starting five for tonight's game. Tuesday, 3:39 pm
  • Josh Richardson (ankle) out at least 4 games
Josh Richardson (ankle, wrist) will not play Tuesday vs. the Knicks and won't travel on Miami's three-game road trip.

Advice: Richardson has already missed three games and now we learn he won't return until Monday, December 12th at the earliest, when the Heat return home to play the Wiz. This is a bummer for Richardson owners, as he was a limited participant at practice on Monday and appeared to be making steady progress. James Johnson (shoulder), Dion Waiters (groin) and Justise Winslow (wrist) all won't travel as well. Miami will have only nine healthy players. Goran Dragic and Tyler Johnson will play all the minutes they can handle in the backcourt. Tuesday, 2:59 pm
  • Paul Millsap (hip) probable for Wednesday
Paul Millsap (hip) is probable to play Wednesday vs. the Heat.

Advice: Millsap returned from a three-game absence on Monday and put up 24 points, five boards, four assists, three steals and a triple in 39 minutes, so there's no reason to believe he'll miss Wednesday's game. Tuesday, 2:00 pm
  • Seth Curry (knee) questionable for Wednesday
Seth Curry (right knee sprain) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Kings.

Advice: Rick Carlisle said on Monday that he didn't expect Curry to play Wednesday, so he's on the doubtful side of the questionable-tag, and owners can expect to get another update following Wednesday morning's shootaround. If he's out, Deron Williams will see his playing time in the high-30s while Devin Harris will earn close to 20 minutes off the bench. Stay tuned. Tuesday, 1:23 pm
  • Richaun Holmes expected to start Tuesday
With both Joel Embiid (rest) and Jahlil Okafor (gastroenteritis) out on Tuesday, Richaun Holmes is expected to start on Tuesday.

Advice: The Sixers will also be without starters Robert Covington (knee) and Jerryd Bayless (wrist), and will have only nine healthy bodies. Holmes makes for a strong DFS play on Tuesday, as he'll have an opportunity to play a season-high in minutes as long as he stays out of foul trouble. Holmes' pr-36 minute averages this season are impressive: 16.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 1.5 steals. Tuesday, 10:02 am
  • Donatas Motiejunas will not report to Rockets
Donatas Motiejunas will not report to Houston to take a physical and join the team, per Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

Advice: Motiejunas, a restricted free agent, signed an offer sheet with Brooklyn last week but the Rockets decided to match. As recently as last week, Motiejunas had said he would be open to a return to Houston, but obviously something has gone wrong. Per Woj, the Rockets and Motiejunas' representatives are discussing what the next steps will be. Motiejunas would only have seen limited minutes in Houston, so the fantasy implications here are relatively minor. Tuesday, 9:49 am
  • JaMychal Green grabs 15 boards in win
JaMychal Green hit just 2-of-5 shots and 1-of-3 free throws for five points on Monday, but also had 15 rebounds and a steal in 43 minutes of Monday's double-overtime win against the Pelicans.

Advice: Green has been a pleasant surprise this season, but has been up and down like a yo-yo over his last five games, at least in the scoring category, going for 5, 16, 8, 16 and 2 points. Over that stretch, he's averaging 9.4 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.6 steal and 0.8 blocks on 44 percent shooting. He might take a small hit once Zach Randolph is back from bereavement leave, but Green is someone you want to own either way. Monday, 9:26 pm
  • LaMarcus Aldridge plays well on Monday
LaMarcus Aldridge hit 7-of-14 shots and a 3-pointer for 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block in 36 minutes on Monday.

Advice: It's been a bumpy right for Aldridge under Gregg Popovich this season, but he's playing well right now, averaging 16.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.4 steals, 0.6 blocks and 0.6 3-pointers on 50 percent shooting over his last five games. And unfortunately, the fact he's played in seven straight means he's probably due for a day of rest soon. Monday, 8:30 pm
  • Millsap plays well, but Hawks lose again
Paul Millsap returned from his hip injury on Monday and played well, racking up 24 points, five rebounds, four assists, three steals and a 3-pointer on 8-of-14 shooting.

Advice: Finally. Millsap wasn't playing well before his injury and owners in weekly leagues had a tough decision to make with him. He came through tonight and looked like vintage Millsap, so hopefully he's over his injury and his knee is also feeling better. As for the Hawks, they are reeling, losers of seven straight games and 10 of their last 11. Monday, 7:53 pm
  • Richaun Holmes nearly double-doubles
Richaun Holmes had 11 points, eight rebounds and two blocks on 5-of-8 shooting in just 18 minutes on Monday.

Advice: With centers Joel Embiid (rest) and Jahlil Okafor (stomach) both out on Tuesday, Holmes looks like a really sneaky play tomorrow night. Monday, 7:02 pm
  • Seth Curry (right knee) out Monday vs. CHA
Seth Curry (right knee sprain) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Hornets.

Advice: He will, however, return to practice on Tuesday and Rick Carlisle is listing him as day-to-day, so it doesn't sound like the knee injury is serious. Carlisle also said that he'll be expanding Deron Williams' workload tonight, so Williams' playing time will likely be in the mid-30s while Devin Harris' minutes will be in the teens. Monday, 4:03 pm
  • Paul Millsap (hip) to start, Muscala to bench
Paul Millsap (hip) will start vs. the Thunder on Monday, moving Mike Muscala to the bench.

Advice: He made it through warmups just fine and is returning after a three-game absence. We haven't heard about any restrictions for Millsap, so season-long owners should make sure he's active. Monday, 3:41 pm
  • Report: HOU matches Motiejunas' offer sheet
The Rockets have reportedly matched Donatas Motiejunas' offer sheet from the Nets.

Advice: Motiejunas may have been able to put up some low-end fantasy value in Brooklyn, but now he'll be fighting for reserve minutes in Houston with the likes of Nene and Montrezl Harrell. Motiejunas has been training in Canada, but his conditioning likely isn't where it needs to be, and he still needs to pass a physical before he's allowed to play. This is far from an ideal situation in fantasy hoops, so he can remain on the wire in most scenarios. Monday, 2:03 pm
  • Josh Richardson (ankle) questionable Tuesday
Josh Richardson (ankle, wrist) is questionable for Tuesday's game vs. the Knicks.

Advice: He was a limited participant at Monday's practice, and said he still felt "a little bit" of discomfort on his sprained ankle, but owners can check back for another update following Tuesday morning's shootaround. With James Johnson (shoulder), Dion Waiters (groin) and Justise Winslow (wrist) out for Tuesday, Richardson is looking at minutes in the 30s if he's able to play. Monday, 10:40 am
  • Seth Curry (knee sprain) is a game-time call
Seth Curry (right knee sprain) is a game-time call against the Hornets on Monday.

Advice: He's missed two games in a row, but he went through the morning shootaround which is always a good sign. He's day-to-day and should play a ton down the stretch for the tanking Mavs, so it's a good idea to hold him if you can in standard leagues. Deron Williams has played 30 or more minutes in the two games that Curry missed, while Devin Harris has been playing minutes in the teens. Monday, 9:07 am
  • Paul Millsap (hip) a game-time call Monday
Paul Millsap (hip) is a game-time call on Monday vs. the Thunder.

Advice: Millsap has missed the last three games for the Hawks, but he's truly day-to-day and the Hawks didn't even feel the need to give him an MRI which is a very good sign. If Millsap is ultimately ruled out Monday, Mike Muscala could possibly make his second straight start at PF, but he won't be a great option outside of deeper leagues. Monday, 8:45 am
  • Jeff Green in double-digits again vs. Detroit
Orlando followed up Friday's blowout victory with a win in Detroit on Sunday, aided by Jeff Green's 14 points on 6-of-11 FGs, two 3-pointers, five boards and three assists in 30 minutes.

Advice: The Magic have brought Green off the bench for the past five games, posting a 3-2 record in that span. The move seems to be helping Green, who has followed up an atrocious offensive stretch with three straight games in double-digits. He's a combined 17-of-32 from the field during that span but doesn't do enough across the board to merit 12-team ownership. Sunday, 5:40 pm
  • Nikola Vucevic gets 16 & 8 with two blocks
Nikola Vucevic made 8-of-14 shots to score 16 points on Sunday, adding eight rebounds, two assists, two blocks and just one turnover in 28 minutes.

Advice: Vuc was heating up before coach Frank Vogel decided to bench him, and the move has done nothing to cool him off -- he's was riding a wave of six straight double-doubles prior to tonight's near-miss. The move to play both Vuc alongside Bismack Biyombo for stretches has been huge for his fantasy outlook. Sunday, 5:37 pm
  • Seth Curry (knee) questionable for Monday
Seth Curry (right knee sprain) is being listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Hornets.

Advice: Curry has spent the past two games on the sidelines, and his minutes have been divvied up between Devin Harris and Jonathan Gibson, with Deron Williams logging around 30 minutes as a starter. It'll be more of the same if he can't give it a go Monday night. Sunday, 12:12 pm
  • Rodney McGruder scores seven in 39 minutes
Rodney McGruder scored seven points with four rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 39 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday.

Advice: The Heat need wings in the worst way, so McGruder may have the best opportunity for playing time in the NBA. Even with 34.4 minutes per game over his last five, McGruder averaged 8.2 points, 5.0 boards, 1.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.0 treys. He's worth a look as a desperation play with four games coming up. Saturday, 10:00 pm
  • JaMychal Green drops 16 points with 13 boards
JaMychal Green had a big game during a 103-100 win over the Lakers on Saturday, scoring 16 points with 13 rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 34 minutes.

Advice: It's a season high in boards and just his second double-double on the year. As a member of the Nasty Nine, Green has been quietly consistent over his last nine, averaging 12.1 points, 7.8 boards, 1.2 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.9 blocks and 0.6 treys on 59.1 percent from the field and 81.3 percent from the line. He has top-45 value in standard leagues in that span, so his patient owners have to be feeling great right now. Make sure he's somehow not on your wire. Saturday, 9:53 pm
  • Seth Curry (knee) will not play Saturday
Coach Rick Carlisle told reporters that Seth Curry (right knee sprain) will not play Saturday vs. Chicago.

Advice: This will be the second game Curry has missed since spraining his knee Wednesday night. Starter Deron Williams may play more than 30 minutes on Saturday for the first time since November 4th. Devin Harris and Jonathan Gibson could also see an uptick in minutes off the Mavs bench. Saturday, 9:30 am
  • Seth Curry (knee) questionable for Saturday
Seth Curry (mild knee sprain) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Bulls.

Advice: Curry suffered a mild sprain of his right knee on Wednesday, which caused him to miss Thursday's game. If Curry doesn't play on Saturday, Deron Williams, Devin Harris and Jonathan Gibson would see a slight uptick in minutes. Saturday, 6:33 am
  • Bismack Biyombo scores four in win
Bismack Biyombo scored four points with 13 rebounds, four assists and one turnover in 32 minutes agains the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: He's not a part of the offense with a team-low 12.6 usage rate in the last four starts. Biyombo's averages aren't very impressive either with 5.0 points, 9.3 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.0 blocks and 0.5 steals in that span. If that sounds appealing to you, give him a look. He's really just a blocks and boards specialist. Friday, 7:27 pm
  • Jeff Green scores 16 points off bench
Jeff Green scored 16 points with six rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: He continues to get decent minutes with 25.0 in his last three since he moved to the bench again. Green's best game in this span was tonight, but that's likely more about the 76ers bump. His upside just isn't high enough to add in most standard-style leagues. He may lose a couple minutes to Jodie Meeks, too. Friday, 7:17 pm
  • Nikola Vucevic scores 12 with 11 boards
Nikola Vucevic scored 12 points with 11 rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: He's really found a nice groove in his four games off the bench. In that span, Vucevic averaged 13.8 points, 12.0 boards, 2.0 assists, 1.5 blocks, 0.8 steals and 1.0 treys in 28.1 minutes per game. The Magic have won two of their three games on this road trip and probably should've won all three -- a bad one-point loss in Memphis. Vooch is in great shape off the bench and looks like a top-50 guy again. Friday, 7:12 pm
  • Nets sign Motiejunas to $37M offer sheet
The Nets have signed Donatas Motiejunas to a four-year, $37 million offer sheet.

Advice: Wow. The Rockets will have three days to match, but that doesn't seem likely. D-Mo didn't have many suitors this summer because his troublesome back raised several red flags, but clearly that didn't faze the Nets. Assuming the Rockets don't match, D-Mo could find minutes at both the four and five in Brooklyn and could have some value in deeper leagues -- he averaged 6.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.4 treys in 14.8 minutes per game in 2015-16 with Houston. For now, Trevor Booker's owners shouldn't be too worried. Friday, 4:40 pm
  • Paul Millsap (hip) out Friday and Saturday
Paul Millsap (hip) will not play against the Pistons on Friday and is also out for Saturday against the Raptors.

Advice: These DNPs will be his second and third games out of the lineup. Despite going scoreless on Wednesday, Mike Muscala should get another start while Mike Scott could also see a few extra minutes than his four on Wednesday. Millsap's injury doesn't sound serious and it may be more about pain tolerance, so he could make it back for Monday against the Thunder. Friday, 3:32 pm
  • Rockets hope to keep Donatas Motiejunas
Donatas Motiejunas is expected to sign an offer sheet with the Nets, but the Rockets are not ready to give up hope that they might him.

Advice: Rockets general manager Daryl Morey has been told to expect to receive an offer sheet, possibly as soon as Friday. Motiejunas had met with the Brooklyn Nets this week and had been examined by their team physicians as the Nets prepare an offer sheet. "We're big fans of Donatas," Morey said. "We hope to have him at some point this year. It's our understanding he will probably sign something in the next day. We won't know until it's official. We don't know how much it will be." The Rockets would have three days to match an offer sheet or let him join the Nets. From a fantasy perspective, landing in Brooklyn offers more upside for Motiejunas. Friday, 8:07 am
  • Nikola Vucevic double-doubles off bench
Nikola Vucevic came off the bench again and hit 6-of-15 shots, a 3-pointer and 5-of-5 free throws for 18 points, 11 boards and three blocks.

Advice: Vucevic is keeping his head up, despite being benched for Bismack Biyombo, and has double-doubled in five straight games. He's averaging 17 points, 13.4 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 1.8 blocks and 0.6 3-pointers on 48 percent shooting over his last five games. Regardless of whether or not he's starting, he's clearly one of the most consistent fantasy centers in the NBA. Thursday, 9:37 pm
  • Jeff Green scores 14 points in loss
Jeff Green came off the bench to hit 5-of-8 shots for 14 points, two rebounds and a steal in 27 minutes of Thursday's tough loss to the Grizzlies.

Advice: Starter Aaron Gordon played just 21 minutes, and while Green hasn't really done much to be owned in fantasy leagues, he's doing a fantastic job of ruining the fantasy value of Gordon. Green could easily replace Gordon in the starting lineup again at any time, but he's come off the bench in two straight since returning from a back injury. Gordon is still the guy to own, but Green is making him a less-than-effective fantasy player right now. Thursday, 9:35 pm
  • Bismack Biyombo grabs 14 rebounds
Bismack Biyombo made another start on Thursday and hit 1-of-4 shots for three points, 14 rebounds, one block and five turnovers in 34 minutes.

Advice: He played four more minutes than Nikola Vucevic (18 points, 11 boards) and the Magic are grasping at straws by bringing Vuc off the bench in favor of starting BB. The Magic blew a 14-point fourth quarter lead tonight and Biyombo hasn't really done anything to earn the starting job. In fact, he's averaging just 3.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and is shooting 23 percent over his last five games. He'll shoot it better than this soon, but his general lack of scoring makes him tough to own for some boards and a handful of blocks. Thursday, 9:21 pm
  • Heat using same starters on Thursday
The Heat will start Goran Dragic, Rodney McGruder, Luke Babbitt, Josh McRoberts and Hassan Whiteside against the Jazz on Thursday.

Advice: There is a shortage of guards in Utah tonight, so McGruder should be busy. Expect to see plenty of Wayne Ellington off the bench. Thursday, 5:19 pm
  • Josh Richardson returns to Miami
Josh Richardson (ankle, wrist) returned to Miami to have treatment on his ankle and coach Erik Spoelstra said Richardson's wrist is bothering him.

Advice: That means he's out Thursday against the Jazz and Saturday against the Blazers. Richardson was starting to come around after a slower start and hopefully he can suit up on Tuesday against the Knicks. While he's out, Wayne Ellington and Rodney McGruder should pick up some of the slack. Thursday, 4:15 pm
  • Paul Millsap (hip) is questionable for Friday
Paul Millsap is listed as questionable to play against the Pistons on Friday.

Advice: The Hawks are on a back-to-back set with another game in Toronto on Saturday. Millsap was playing through his hip injury for about a week before he missed Wednesday against the Suns. He'll likely be a game-time call for the 8:00 start. If he can't go, Mike Muscala should play close to 30 minutes with a few more minutes going to Mike Scott (knee), assuming Scott is a go. Thursday, 2:02 pm
  • Nets preparing Donatas Motiejunas offer sheet
The Nets are reportedly preparing an offer sheet for Donatas Motiejunas.

Advice: Assuming the Rockets don't match the offer sheet in the next three days, Motiejunas will become a member of the Nets. It's unclear what shape he's in, but he's worth a speculative pickup in deeper leagues as he'll see minutes in Brooklyn. Thursday, 10:54 am
  • LaMarcus Aldridge struggles vs. Mavericks
LaMarcus Aldridge flopped on Wednesday with just five points (2-of-9 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), eight rebounds, three assists and two turnovers in 32 minutes of action.

Advice: The Spurs have scored 21.5 percent of their points this season off mid-range jumpers, which is the highest mark in the league. That's partly due to Kawhi Leonard, but mid-range maestro Aldridge is also a huge reason. Neither of the Spurs' studs found the range tonight, spoiling a golden opportunity against a poor Mavericks' defense, but this random dud shouldn't dissuade fantasy owners. Wednesday, 9:21 pm
  • Kawhi Leonard leads short-handed Spurs to win
The Spurs bounced back from a disappointing loss to the Magic, beating the Mavericks on Wednesday 94-87 thanks to Kawhi Leonard's 21 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Advice: Leonard shot just 5-of-16 from the field but he made 9-of-12 free throws in 31 minutes, helping the Spurs maintain their undefeated record on the road. They are a perfect 11-0 on the road this season, but just 4-4 at home. Kawhi has yet to miss a game this season, which has helped him maintain top-six fantasy value in nearly all formats on a cumulative basis. Wednesday, 9:19 pm
  • Josh Richardson (ankle) ruled out Thursday
Josh Richardson (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday against the Jazz.

Advice: He could be sent home for treatment, which suggests Richardson could also miss Saturday's game against the Blazers. On Wednesday, the Heat went with 32 minutes of Wayne Ellington while Rodney McGruder saw 25 minutes in the starting lineup. Both wings would be looking at decent minutes while Richardson is on the shelf. Richardson is still a hold unless you're already desperate for wins in a shallow league. Wednesday, 8:50 pm
  • JaMychal Green scores 16 pts with five steals
JaMychal Green had 16 points, five rebounds, a career-high five steals, one block and one assist vs. Toronto on Wednesday.

Advice: Green played 34 minutes with just one turnover, finishing 5-of-11 from the field and 6-of-7 from the line. He's been a low-end fantasy option in most 12-team leagues this season, but has stepped up his game during the absence of Zach Randolph (personal). Z-Bo is day-to-day, but if you need a productive PF don't hesitate to add JaMychal to your squad. Wednesday, 8:13 pm
  • Josh Richardson (ankle) doubtful on Wednesday
Josh Richardson (ankle) is "very unlikely" to play vs. the Nuggets on Wednesday, but he will be in uniform.

Advice: Richardson reportedly suffered a "slightly tweaked ankle" but it must not have responded well during pre-game warmups. If he's unable to take the court, the short-handed Heat will rely even more on guys like Goran Dragic, Tyler Johnson and Rodney McGruder. Wednesday, 5:24 pm
  • Josh Richardson (ankle) expected to play
Josh Richardson (ankle) will warm up with the intent to play against the Nuggets on Wednesday.

Advice: He was spotted on the training table and was getting treatment. It's only a "slightly tweaked ankle" for Richardson, so he should be good to go. He'll be busy on the wing tonight with Justise Winslow (wrist) and Dion Waiters (groin) out tonight. Wednesday, 4:41 pm
  • Conley's timetable depends on pain tolerance?
Coach David Fizdale said Mike Conley's (back) timetable will fluctuate based on pain tolerance.

Advice: Conley is expected to miss the next 6-8 weeks due to a transverse process fracture in his back. Medically speaking, that part of his back isn't tied to nerves in the spine, so hopefully there aren't lingering effects. While he's out, we'll get a ton of Andrew Harrison as the starter while Wade Baldwin IV will see plenty of minutes. Harrison has been awful, but maybe the new role can get him going. Wednesday, 11:59 am
  • Mike Conley (back) could beat timetable?
There's a chance that Mike Conley (back) will be able to beat his 6-8 week timetable.

Advice: While a transverse process fracture is nothing to shrug at, it is the least worrisome of the potentially serious back injuries, and it's not something we haven't seen before. Both Jason Thompson and Hedo Turkoglu dealt with this injury, and on average, they were back on the court within 2-3 weeks. However, every injury is different, so while there's a chance Conley could beat his timetable, there's currently not enough information out there to make a declarative statement here. The Grizzlies will reportedly be bringing in veteran PGs for tryouts, but Andrew Harrison and Wade Baldwin will be running the show until they bring in additional help. Wednesday, 6:25 am
  • LaMarcus Aldridge scores 16 points vs. Magic
LaMarcus Aldridge scored 16 points with six rebounds, three assists, one block and one triple vs. the Magic on Tuesday.

Advice: LA hit 7-of-12 from the field with one turnover, but split a pair of shots at the line. Aldridge picked up a maintenance day the last time the Spurs played the Mavericks, and now they play the Mavs on the second night of a back-to-back set on Wednesday. It's the perfect storm for another "DNP-Pop", so make sure he's active before plugging him into lineups. Tuesday, 9:13 pm
  • Jeff Green (sore lower back) plays 25 minutes
Jeff Green (sore lower back) returned to action on Tuesday vs. the Spurs, scoring six points on 3-of-10 shooting with three rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes.

Advice: He came off the bench behind Aaron Gordon and we'd be a little surprised if he moved back into the starting five. Green was shooting 29.6 percent from the field prior to Tuesday and is having a tough year in Orlando. He belongs on the waiver wire. Tuesday, 8:56 pm
  • Nikola Vucevic plays 25 minutes off the bench
Nikola Vucevic double-doubled off the bench on Tuesday vs. the Spurs, scoring 12 points on 6-of-16 shooting with 10 rebounds, two steals and one block in 25 minutes.

Advice: This was his second game in a row off the bench and Vucevic wasn't happy about the demotion, but he's still going to get his touches and the minutes will be there if Frank Vogel continues to use a three-man rotation in the frontcourt. Vooch had 17 points with 16 rebounds, three assists, one block and one 3-pointer without any turnovers in 30 minutes in his previous game, so his fantasy value should be fine. Tuesday, 8:44 pm
  • Grizz's Mike Conley (back) to miss six weeks
Mike Conley suffered a transverse process fracture in his vertebrae on Monday night and is expected to miss the next 6-8 weeks of action.

Advice: Ouch. This is obviously a tough blow for both the Grizzlies and Mike Conley owners. He will be re-evaluated in a month, and we should have a clearer picture of his status going forward at that point. After signing the richest contract in NBA history this past summer, Conley was off to a great start this season. He was averaging career-highs in points (19.2), rebounds (3.6), blocks (0.6) and 3-pointers (2.5). The Grizz don't have a reliable, veteran point guard to turn to. Andrew Harrison will most likey start. He'll be backed up by fellow rookie Wade Baldwin. Tuesday, 10:41 am
  • Jeff Green (back) will play Tuesday
Jeff Green (sore lower back) will play Tuesday in San Antonio, but he will come off the bench according to coach Frank Vogel.

Advice: Green has been a major disappointment this season in Orlando. He hasn't scored more than 11 points in three weeks. Over the Magic's last 10 games, eight of which he started, Green is averaging just 6.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists, while shooting a frigid 29.6 percent from the floor; including 17.9 percent from 3-point territory. Tuesday, 10:29 am
  • Ian Clark (throat) plays 11 minutes Monday
Ian Clark (throat) played 11 minutes on Monday with eight points, two rebounds, one assist and two treys.

Advice: He hit a couple of big shots tonight and he's the reason why we're not seeing a lot of Patrick McCaw in the rotation. Leave Clark on the wire while the Warriors are healthy. Monday, 10:29 pm
  • Mike Conley (back) to re-evaluated on Tuesday
Mike Conley (lower back injury) will be re-evaluated on Tuesday.

Advice: Coach David Fizdale said he didn't know Conley's status for Wednesday's game vs. the Raptors and Conley wasn't in the locker room after the game to answer questions. Conley has been battling through a variety of ailments this season and should be considered questionable for Wednesday. Andrew Harrison hasn't been playing well, but he's likely the next man up if Conley misses time. Monday, 9:27 pm
