  • Devin Booker leads Phoenix with 18 points Tuesday
    Devin Booker logged 42 minutes in Tuesday’s 105-93 loss to the Timberwolves, accumulating 20 points (6-of-13 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), three rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer.

    Advice: Booker fouled out of Game 2, but the outcome was no longer in doubt at that point. He did lead the Suns in scoring, but, as was the case in the series opener on Saturday, efficiency was a problem. Booker committing six turnovers was more concerning than the field-goal percentage, with the Suns recording 19 as a team. Bradley Beal wasn’t much better, as he was responsible for four to go along with 14 points (6-of-17 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, and two 3-pointers in 42 minutes.   • Grayson Allen (ankle) does not return after injury
    Grayson Allen (right ankle sprain) played 17 minutes in Tuesday’s 105-93 loss to the Timberwolves, recording a line of three points (1-of-2 FGs), three rebounds, one steal, and one 3-pointer in 17 minutes.

    Advice: Having sprained his right ankle in Game 1 on Saturday, Allen was initially questionable for Tuesday’s game. Unfortunately, he rolled the ankle early in the third quarter while attempting to block a shot. While the Suns announced that Allen was questionable to return, he never did. The concern now is potential swelling as the team flies to Phoenix for Game 3 on Friday, and Allen may not be a lock to play.     Frank Vogel said Tuesday that X-rays came back negative on Allen's right ankle, and he should be considered day-to-day, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.

    Advice: Allen has dealt with a right ankle injury through the first two games of the series against Minnesota and should be considered questionable for Game 3 on Friday.     Advice: Largely an afterthought on the offensive end of the floor in Game 1, McDaniels was Minnesota’s brightest star in Game 3. He scored a game-high 25 points while shooting well over 50% from the field, and five of his eight rebounds were of the offensive variety. Add in his usual defensive play, which frustrated Devin Booker occasionally, and this was McDaniels’ most impactful postseason performance.
