• CJ McCollum offers limited value in win over Kings
CJ McCollum shot 3-of-8 from the field in Friday’s 105-98 win over Sacramento, accounting for seven points, two rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks, and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes.

Advice: To begin with a positive, McCollum recorded a full stat line as the Pelicans earned the 8-seed in the West. However, he had another quiet night on offense, with Friday’s effort occurring with Zion Williamson (hamstring) sidelined. The good news for the Pelicans is that their bench stepped up, with Jose Alvarado (10/5/2/2/1 with one 3-pointer) and Naji Marshall (13/4/3/2) reaching double figures. The bench contributions will be critical against the Thunder in the first round of the playoffs, but the Pelicans will need more from McCollum regardless of how well the reserves play. • Brandon Ingram scores team-high 24 points Friday
Brandon Ingram shot 10-of-20 from the field and 3-of-3 from the foul line in Friday’s 105-98 win over the Kings, scoring 24 points with six rebounds, six assists, one block, and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.

Advice: With Zion Williamson (hamstring) out, Ingram had to do more as a scorer. He answered the call, shooting 50% from the field while dishing out six assists. Ingram was responsible for four turnovers, but the overall production (and contributions from the bench) were more than enough to make up for that. Also of greater significance was Ingram playing 37 minutes without issues; he logged 23 and 25 minutes in his first two games after returning from a knee injury. The Pelicans advance into the playoffs, where they’ll face No. 1-seed Oklahoma City in the first round. Game 1 is on Sunday night in OKC. Rotoworld Today, 9:14 pm
  • Ayo Dosunmu shoots poorly in season finale Friday
Ayo Dosunmu (right quad contusion) shot 3-of-15 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Friday’s loss to the Heat, scoring 10 points with four rebounds, four assists, three steals, two blocks, and two 3-pointers in 41 minutes.

Advice: Give Donsunmu credit for not allowing the shooting struggles to limit what he did in other areas, as he accumulated four assists, three steals, and two blocked shots. However, a cold night from three (2-of-11) sank Dosunmu’s field-goal percentage like a stone. Friday was a disappointing ending for a player who made significant strides after the Bulls lost Zach LaVine and Patrick Williams to season-ending foot injuries. Dosunmu provided 11th-round per-game value in 9-cat formats and 12th-round value in 8-cat. Where he’s selected in drafts ahead of next season depends on the availability of LaVine and Williams, with the latter being a restricted free agent. Rotoworld Today, 7:32 pm
  • Alex Caruso (foot) plays 33 minutes in defeat
Alex Caruso (right foot sprain) finished Friday’s loss to the Heat with six points (2-of-8 FGs), three rebounds, four assists, one block, and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: Caruso was a game-time decision for Friday after injuring his foot during the first half of Wednesday’s win over the Hawks. While he played starters’ minutes, he did not have much impact on either end of the floor. The limited scoring output was unsurprising, but the Bulls struggled to defend Tyler Herro and Jaime Jaquez Jr. with a limited Caruso on the court. The rugged guard finished the season as a 5th-round player in 8- and 9-cat formats, exceeding his Yahoo ADP (140.7) by a significant margin. The only way Caruso is off the board in standard leagues ahead of the 100th pick will be if Zach LaVine (foot), Lonzo Ball (knee), and Patrick Williams (foot) aren’t available for the start of next season and pending free agent DeMar DeRozan is not re-signed. • Adds 12 points off bench
Green closed Friday's 112-91 Play-In Game loss to the Heat with 12 points (5-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals over 17 minutes.

Advice: Green led Chicago's bench with 12 points, but his effort wasn't enough to help his team advance to the opening round of the postseason. He finished the 2023-24 campaign on a high note by putting up 10 or more points in seven of eight appearances over his final month of action. Rotowire.com Today, 7:22 pm
  • Solid showing in season-ending loss
DeRozan ended Friday's 112-91 Play-In Game loss to the Heat with 22 points (8-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 41 minutes.

Advice: DeRozan did his part as his squad looked to advance to the opening round of the postseason, knocking down 50.0 percent of his tries from the field while contributing on the defensive end. He went on an impressive run to end the 2023-24 campaign, averaging 29.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.5 steals over his last six appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 7:20 pm
  • Shines in starting role
Jaquez posted 21 points (8-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and six assists across 35 minutes during Friday's 112-91 Play-In Game win over the Bulls.

Advice: Jaquez had big shoes to fill as he entered the starting lineup in place of Jimmy Butler (knee), and he didn't disappoint. Friday marked his second time in four games scoring 20 or more points, and he did so with efficiency. Jaquez also packed the stat sheet with an impressive effort on the glass and as a distributor of the basketball The Heat will need to continue to lean on the rookie forward entering the team's opening-round series against Boston. • Wills team to victory
Herro accumulated 24 points (8-17 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds and nine assists in 33 minutes during Friday's 112-91 Play-In Game victory over the Bulls.

Advice: Herro was the star of the show in this one, and while he didn't have a great shooting night by any means, he had a more controlled approach after knocking down nine of 27 attempts from the field Tuesday against the 76ers. The Kentucky product did much more than score in the win, falling just one assist shy of a triple-double. The Heat will need more performances like this from Herro heading into the team's opening-round series against the Celtics. Rotowire.com Today, 7:00 pm
  • DeMar DeRozan leads Bulls with 22 points in finale
DeMar DeRozan finished Friday’s 112-91 loss to the Heat with 22 points (8-of-16 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block, and three 3-pointers in 41 minutes.

Advice: DeRozan did what he could to lead the way for the Bulls, but Chicago shooting 38.0% from the field was too much for him to overcome on Friday. Not known for his 3-point shooting ability, Deebo shot 10-of-16 from beyond the arc in Chicago’s last four games. The 35-year-old wing will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and while the Bulls have expressed interest in bringing him back, it’s fair to wonder if running it back with essentially the same roster is the best idea. Zach LaVine (foot) and Lonzo Ball (knee) are rehabbing injuries, as is Patrick Williams (foot). DeRozan can certainly provide top-50 fantasy value; whether or not he does depends on where he’s playing and his role. Rotoworld Today, 6:59 pm
