  • Ty Lawson will be a game-time call
Ty Lawson (ankle) will be a game-time call to face the Grizzlies on Friday.

Advice: He is going to warm up to see how he feels. Lawson had the same scenario last time and was expected to play, but he did not. If he can't go, Garrett Temple should get heavy run as a combo guard behind a busy Darren Collison. Arron Afflalo would also play more, but isn't a fantasy option. Rotoworld.com 33 minutes ago
  • Sean Kilpatrick, Trevor Booker will rest
Sean Kilpatrick and Trevor Booker will rest against the Pelicans on Friday.

Advice: It's the front end of a back-to-back set and Kilpatrick will get his first rest day. For tonight, there will be more minutes going to Caris LeVert, Joe Harris, Bojan Bogdanovic and Rondae-Hollis Jefferson. Kilpatrick has lost a lot of his luster and isn't worth owning in standard leagues. By the way, expect rest coming for other Nets on Saturday. Rotoworld.com 40 minutes ago
  • Norman Powell starting over Pascal Siakam
Norman Powell will start and Pascal Siakam will move to the bench against the Hornets on Friday.

Advice: With the Raptors thin on power forwards, it makes sense. This will allow DeMarre Carroll to guard a smaller four in Marvin Williams to open up minutes for Powell and Terrence Ross. Powell has been great as a starter, but he's still a slight risk to use even at his cheap price. Carroll is good to go. Rotoworld.com 43 minutes ago
  • Delon Wright is active for Friday
Delon Wright is active to face the Hornets on Friday.

Advice: It's the first time he's active after his off-season shoulder surgery. Wright is not expected to be in the rotation, but he could get garbage time if Kyle Lowry's revenge All-Star snub leads to a blowout. Rotoworld.com 54 minutes ago
  • 76ers waive Mo Williams
    76ers waive G Mo Williams.

Advice: After the 76ers claimed him just to help them get to the salary floor and hurt the Nuggets from doing so, another team can do the same thing. Maybe Williams will officially be on his fifth team this month. Rotoworld.com Today, 3:00 pm

  • C.J. Watson will start at shooting guard
C.J. Watson will start at shooting guard against the Bucks on Friday.

Advice: With Evan Fournier (foot, heel) and Jodie Meeks (thumb) out, the move makes sense as coach Frank Vogel sticks with his rotation. After the Meeks injury, the shooting guard minutes breakdown went 10 minutes for Watson, seven minutes for D.J. Augustin and three minutes for Mario Hezonja. Watson should get the bulk of the minutes at shooting guard, but he's a very risky DFS play or pickup in deep leagues. We'll see if Mario gets some SG minutes tonight, but he's not a pickup just yet. • The 76ers claim Mo Williams
    76ers claim G Mo Williams.

Advice: That makes it four teams in two weeks for Williams. This move is only to get the 76ers $2.2 million closer to the NBA's salary floor, which was the same motivation the Nuggets had when they traded for him earlier this week. Williams is likely done playing in the NBA. Rotoworld.com Today, 2:13 pm

  • Walton not going to shorten the bench?
Coach Luke Walton said he is "probably not" going to shorten his bench minutes.

Advice: "We’re not going to shorten the bench’s minutes to get the starters get back in sooner," Walton said. "The bench most nights is posting big numbers for us." He's right because the bench is leading the NBA with their 49.8 points per game. There has always been some buzz of the Lakers playing their younger guys more, but don't expect too many changes before the break. Rotoworld.com Today, 1:20 pm
  • Gary Harris listed as out for Saturday
Gary Harris (right ankle sprain) is listed as out for Saturday against the Clippers.

Advice: That makes it three games for Harris, who was hurt on Monday. Harris is having a really rough season, but his owners should still try to hang in there. In the meantime, Will Barton is going to get some serious run as the starter with Jamal Murray backing him up. Rotoworld.com Today, 1:08 pm
    Injured

  • Wilson Chandler not on the injury report
Wilson Chandler (personal) is not on the injury report for Saturday against the Clippers.

Advice: It looks like Chandler only needed the one game for his personal reasons. With him back, he'll likely be getting a few minutes at the three to go with his heavy dose of minutes at the four. Juancho Hernangomez would be the most likely to lose minutes. Chandler should be owned in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:58 pm
  • Atkinson likes Rondae at the four
Coach Kenny Atkinson said he thinks Rondae Hollis-Jefferson has helped the team and Hollis-Jefferson.

Advice: "I think we envision him playing both positions," Atkinson said. "But we have been more skewed towards the four position and he’s adapted really well. A lot of second units now play small ball." With the Nets leading the NBA in pace and Caris LeVert pushing for minutes at the three, this move makes a lot of sense for Hollis-Jefferson. He still hasn't hit his peak yet, so he's more of a stash right now. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:43 pm
  • Stein confirms report on P.J. Tucker
ESPN's Marc Stein confirmed the Suns are looking for a first-round pick in a P.J. Tucker deal.

Advice: This coincides with a local Arizona report, saying the Suns still have some interest in trying to resign Tucker. In a good portion of coach Earl Watson's post-game interviews, he talks about Tucker helping the team's identity, so the coach clearly likes having him around the young players. If Tucker is dealt, T.J. Warren would be a big winner while the Suns may get a look at Dragan Bender playing more three. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:14 pm
  • ESPN: Brandon Knight is 'gettable'
Brandon Knight is being regarded as "gettable" in the trade market, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Advice: This is pretty obvious. The Suns haven't really been updating Knight's status with his lingering wrist injury and perhaps there is even more than meets the eye. The Suns are likely looking to transform him into a first-round pick with general manager Ryan McDonough saying the team doesn't really want to stockpile second-round picks. He's basically behind Tyler Ulis on the depth chart and Knight needs a trade big time to save his value, so he's not the best stash. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:10 pm
  • Arron Afflalo on the block?
ESPN's Marc Stein reports Arron Afflalo and Ben McLemore have "as the most likely Kings to be dealt."

Advice: Stein adds that McLemore is "first and foremost" on the block, which was already reported to a lesser degree. The Kings are really in a tight spot because without Rudy Gay (Achilles) they're very unlikely to make the playoffs unless they unload future assets. Afflalo may actually be the starter with Gay out, but he has very little value right now. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:06 pm
  • Heat don't want to deal Dragic?
The Magic reportedly offered Nikola Vucevic and a future first-round pick for Goran Dragic, but the Heat had "no interest," according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Advice: Even if this future first is for 2019 or beyond, the Heat currently are sitting in the No. 2 spot for the lottery, so picking up a draft selection makes at least some sense. For Dragic, he has maintained he wants to stay in Miami, but it'll obviously be up to Pat Riley to make the call on whether or not he can retain him. Stein adds the Heat are "hesitant" to deal their point guard, which isn't surprising to hear to keep the demand higher in the market. A trade would almost certainly hurt Dragic's fantasy value, so his fantasy owners will be rooting for him to stay put. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:46 am
  • Ty Lawson (ankle) questionable for Friday
Ty Lawson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. Memphis.

Advice: Lawson did not play Wednesday after twisting his ankle in the second half of Sunday's game. Darren Collison is a tempting DFS play if Lawson does not suit on Friday. Collison played well on Wednesday, finishing with 11 points, nine assists and four steals in 37 minutes. Garrett Temple played 29 minutes off the bench. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:37 am
  • C.J. Wilcox (knee) will not play Friday
C.J. Wilcox (knee tendinitis) will not play Friday vs. Milwaukee.

Advice: Wilcox is has played only spot minutes this season, averaging just 0.9 points and less than five minutes per game. However, with Evan Fournier (heel) and Jodie Meeks (thumb) both sidelined, Orlando could have used Wilcox this weekend. Instead, the Magic will rely on Mario Hezonja, C.J. Watson and D.J. Augustin. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:26 am
  • Tony Parker (ankle) expected to play Saturday
Tony Parker (ankle) is expected to play Saturday vs. the Cavs in Cleveland.

Advice: Parker was a late scratch from the Spurs lineup on Thursday. "It has happened before where his ankle kind of gets locked up, so I think we know what we need to do for it and I think he'll be back for Cleveland," coach Gregg Popovich said on Thursday night. Dejounte Murray started in place of Parker on Thursday and played quite well, scoring a career-high 24 points on 7-of-11 from the field with two rebounds, two assists, one steal, one turnover and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:36 am
  • Brandon Ingram adding extra shooting sessions
Brandon Ingram has added extra shooting sessions before practice and before games in an effort to improve his shooting stroke and offensive efficiency.

Advice: "If you put in the work, your numbers will get better," coach Luke Walton said. "It’s that simple. He continues to put in the work." The work has already started to pay off. Over the first 37 games of his rookie season, Ingram averaged 7.4 points while shooting 34.5 percent from the floor and 24.1 percent from 3-point territory. Over his most recent nine game this month, Ingram is averaging 11.7 points while shooting 48.6 percent from the floor and 47.8 percent from downtown. As the Lakers slip further away from playoff contention in the second half of the season, it is likely L.A.'s prized rookie will see an increase in playing time and scoring opportunities. • J.R. Smith not yet cleared to do cardio
J.R. Smith hasn't done any cardio exercises since fracturing his thumb on Dec. 20, but hopes to receive clearance to begin working out at his doctor's appointment on Friday.

Advice: Smith was given a timeline of 12-14 weeks, and he is just at the four-week mark, which means he is still a good two months away from returning to the court. "Right now it's just healing," Smith said. "I can't really do anything." Smith also stated he was happy the Cavs were able to improve their roster with the addition of Kyle Korver. However, with Korver now in the mix, Smith will see fewer minutes when he does return to action. Smith can be left on waiver wires in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:30 am

  • Wes Johnson was reinstated from his suspension on Thursday January 19. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:29 am
  • Andrew Wiggins scores 27 points in win
Andrew Wiggins scored 27 points with four rebounds, four assists, one block and one 3-pointer in Thursday's 104-101 win against the Clippers.

Advice: Wiggins has struggled this month, so watching him have a big night was refreshing. His lack of peripheral stats can be frustrating for fantasy owners, but on nights like tonight, his scoring makes up for it. He did grab a crucial rebound late in the game, which put him on the free throw line where he was able close the game out. Minnesota will face off against the Nuggets on Sunday, a team that Wiggins has scored 25 points against in each game this season. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:52 pm
  • Zach LaVine shoots poorly vs. Clippers
Zach LaVine hit 3-of-13 shots for nine points with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in Thursday's win over the Clippers.

Advice: LaVine is averaging just 15.3 points per game in January compared to his 20.1 points per game this season. It has been a rocky month nonetheless, but his next matchup is one that favors him, as the Nuggets are giving up the most fantasy points per game to opposing shooting guards, making this a great bounce back spot. Fantasy owners should deploy him as per usual. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:48 pm
  • Kris Dunn scores five points in 25 minutes
Kris Dunn scored five points with four assists, four rebounds, one block and one steal in 25 minutes on Thursday against the Clippers.

Advice: Dunn started in place of the injured Ricky Rubio (hip) in the second half of tonight’s game. However, Tyus Jones started at point guard in the fourth quarter and finished with four points, four assists, and one 3-pointer in 12 minutes. Both of them were on the court to close out the game. If Rubio misses any time, Dunn and Jones would get a boost in playing time. In games where Dunn has played at least 24 minutes this season, he has averaged 5.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.2 points, and 3.0 steals per game. He will not light up the score board, but he is a great source of steals. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:37 pm
  • J.J. Redick struggles against Minnesota
J.J. Redick hit 4-of-11 shots for nine points with three assists, two rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer in Thursday's loss to the Timberwolves.

Advice: This type of night is to be expected from him, but the 31 minutes is a good sign. Redick only saw an extra minute per game in the last stint without Chris Paul (thumb) and he actually has a higher usage rate and a better efficiency with CP3 on the floor with him this season, but Redick should get more chances to score when he's having a good game. Keep him rolling. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:32 pm
  • Jamal Crawford struggles in Thursday's loss
Jamal Crawford hit 3-of-14 shots for seven points with eight rebounds, three assists and one block in 25 minutes on Thursday against the Timberwolves.

Advice: Crawford continues to struggle with his shot, sporting a .178 field goal percentage in his last five games and scoring fewer than 10 points in each contest during that stretch. With Chris Paul (hand) out for 6-8 weeks, Crawford should see a boost in minutes. His shot will likely eventually start falling as he is a shooter and he is a borderline own with Paul out. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:26 pm
  • Raymond Felton scores 10 points in loss
Raymond Felton scored 10 points with eight assists, four rebounds and two steals on Thursday night against the Timberwolves.

Advice: Felton got the start for the injured Chris Paul (hand) tonight and played 34 minutes. Although he scored just 10 points, he did contribute in dimes and steals. He should be owned in all formats during Paul’s absence, but will hurt you in field goal percentage some nights. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:09 pm
  • Tony Parker to travel for Saturday @ CLE
Tony Parker's left ankle locked up prior to Thursday's win over the Nuggets but he will travel with the team for Saturday's game at Cleveland.

Advice: Rookie Dejounte Murray started in Parker's place tonight and went off for a career-high 24 points on 7-of-11 shooting and added two assists, a steal and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes. It sounds like there's a good chance Parker will be back on Saturday, which will obviously hurt Murray's chances for another big game. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:12 pm
  • Goran Dragic scores team-high 32 points
Goran Dragic hit 11-of-15 shots for a team-high 32 points with six rebounds, two assists and four 3-pointers in Thursday’s 99-95 win over the Mavericks.

Advice: Dragic scored 22 points in the second half and sealed the game with two clutch free throws. He continues to have a solid month, averaging over 20 points per game in January. So long as he remains in Miami, he will produce nice numbers for fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:01 pm
  • Felton, JJ, Rivers, Luc & Jordan starting
Raymond Felton, J.J. Redick, Austin Rivers, Luc Mbah a Moute and DeAndre Jordan will start against the Wolves on Thursday.

Advice: This was expected all along and the Clippers will have to manage without the NBA's top player in real plus minus. Felton is worth a look if you need a point guard for the next 6-8 weeks. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:21 pm
  • P.J. Tucker scores just two points
P.J. Tucker scored two points with five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 29 minutes against the Cavs on Thursday.

Advice: Coach Earl Watson always plays Tucker against top-notch wings, so that explains the playing time. As you can see with his stat line, he's not really doing much with his minutes. Tucker has actually been a ninth-round guy in his last 10, but a possible trade and a low upside makes him a borderline asset in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:38 pm
  • Brandon Knight plays four minutes
Brandon Knight played four minutes on Thursday with three points, one 3-pointer, one turnover and four fouls.

Advice: Yikes. Those minutes were not in garbage time and Knight checked in during the first quarter. He also didn't play at all in the second half because of the terrible play. He's clearly on thin ice and needs a trade. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:25 pm
  • Tony Parker (foot) ruled out for Thursday
Tony Parker (left foot pain) will not play on Thursday against the Nuggets.

Advice: This is not in a back-to-back set, so this is more about him not being 100 percent. Parker looked fine on Tuesday night with 29 minutes in a win over the Wolves. It sounds like a wear-and-tear issue for the veteran and he could miss more time to get him right. Patty Mills should get close to 30 minutes tonight and is worth a look as a pickup in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:06 pm
  • Tony Parker might be questionable Thursday
Tony Parker has a sprained ankle and might not play on Thursday, according to Nuggets radio man Jason Kosmicki.

Advice: We haven't heard a peep from the San Antonio reporters, so we're not sure what to make of this report. But where there's smoke there's fire, so watch for another update later. The Spurs play the Nuggets at 8:30 in San Antonio, so we should know more soon. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:58 pm
  • Brandon Knight playing on Thursday
Brandon Knight (wrist) is playing on Thursday night.

Advice: The Suns haven't exactly been forthcoming on Knight's status, but he's out there playing in the first quarter. Knight is not worth owning in shallower leagues right now. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:37 pm
  • Brandon Ingram not starting just yet
Coach Luke Walton said he has no plans to start Brandon Ingram.

Advice: Walton said the team has been doing some extra workouts with Ingram to help his shooting. In the last nine games, Ingram posted a 56.7 effective field goal percentage on jumpers. That's a massive boost from the 30.9 eFG% in his NBA career before that stretch. He's trending up, but he's still only a stash. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 1:13 pm
  • Wilson Chandler, Gary Harris out Thursday
Wilson Chandler (personal) and Gary Harris (ankle) will not play on Thursday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Chandler was listed as out, but now we have official confirmation. This is a tough blow for the Nuggets because Danilo Gallinari (ankle) was just downgraded to questionable. The Nuggets play two more times this week on Saturday and Sunday, so Chandler's owners should sit tight for now. Will Barton looks like a great DFS play and we could see more of rookie Juan Hernangomez. Chandler's absence also raises Kenneth Faried's floor, especially with Darrell Arthur (knee) out. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:15 am
  • P.J. Tucker drawing interest around the NBA
P.J. Tucker is reportedly drawing interest from around the league.

Advice: Tucker is on the final year of an affordable deal, as he's on the books for just $5.3 million. With the Suns rebuilding, it's no secret that they will listen to offers for their defensive stopper. According to this report, the Clippers, Bulls, Cavaliers, Timberwolves and Hawks all have interest in Tucker, but Suns GM Ryan McDonough said earlier in the week that he doesn't like taking back late-round picks in deals which could complicate things in trade talks. If the Suns can find a new home for Tucker, T.J. Warren will get a bump and Dragan Bender will have a larger role. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:22 am
  • Arron Afflalo gets the start on Wednesday
Arron Afflalo made a start against the Pacers on Wednesday with 11 points, one rebound, one assist, one block and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: He could be a bigger part of the rotation again with Rudy Gay (Achilles) likely out for the season. Although, Afflalo was a DNP-CD at times even when Gay missed games last month. His upside is really low anyway, so he's more of a deep-league pickup. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:23 pm
  • J.J. Redick, Crawford to see more minutes
Doc Rivers said that J.J. Redick and Jamal Crawford will likely play more minutes to help compensate for the loss of Chris Paul (left thumb surgery).

Advice: Rivers was explicit about his reasoning. "Austin [Rivers] and Raymond [Felton] are the only two [points guards], really," he said. "[But] we don’t want to tax Raymond and Austin to the point that they’re not doing what they do well." Redick should already be owned, and Rivers and Felton are hot pickups with CP3 on the shelf for 6-8 weeks, but for now Crawford is just a borderline option in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:04 pm
  • Arron Afflalo starts, Garrett Temple to bench
Arron Afflalo will start and Garrett Temple will move to the bench on Wednesday against the Pacers.

Advice: It makes sense because the Kings need Temple to be the backup point guard. Temple's value is fine off the bench while Afflalo can stay on the wire. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:30 pm
  • Ty Lawson (ankle) ruled out for Wednesday
Ty Lawson (ankle) will not play against the Pacers on Wednesday night.

Advice: He tried to test out his ankle, but apparently wasn't as healthy as expected. With Lawson out tonight. Garrett Temple should get some minutes as the backup point guard to go with some minutes at the two. Darren Collison is also coming off a 21-pont game and could have some success against his former team. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:24 pm
  • Ty Lawson expected to play on Wednesday
Ty Lawson (ankle) remains expected to play on Wednesday against the Pacers.

Advice: This is a pretty much non-update, but it may also be the last one with how the Kings report their injuries. For now, expect Lawson to play and get minutes in the low 20s. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:14 pm
  • Gary Harris will not play on Thursday
Gary Harris (ankle) will not play against the Spurs on Thursday.

Advice: This will be his second game out of the lineup. Harris is having a tough go this year, suffering injuries to his groin, foot and now this ankle sprain. With him out, Will Barton is a must-start player in season long and is probably worth using in DFS. Jamal Murray also benefits. Harris should still probably remain owned in standard leagues despite all these injuries. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 2:25 pm
    Injured

  • Wilson Chandler (personal) is listed as out
Wilson Chandler (personal) is listed as out for Thursday against the Spurs.

Advice: Being listed as out isn't the same thing as being out, so hopefully we get another update on Thursday before the road game. Kenneth Faried has played really well in the first unit, which has cost Chandler some playing time. He's still worth owning, though. If he is indeed out, Faried, Jusuf Nurkic and Juan Hernangomez could play more. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 1:56 pm
  • Brandon Knight (wrist) questionable Thursday
Brandon Knight (wrist) is questionable to play against the Cavs on Thursday.

Advice: He has missed the last two games with his wrist sprain. Knight is barely in the rotation right now. If he's out, Tyler Ulis would likely see more minutes and it's worth a mention Devin Booker played 46 minutes in regulation on Monday. Knight needs a trade to save his value, so he may not be worth owning in shallower leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:31 am
  • Report: Atlanta trading Mo Williams to Denver
The Hawks will reportedly send Mo Williams and some cash to the Nuggets.

Advice: Denver will be sending the rights to Cenk Akyol (drafted in 2005 and yet to make his NBA debut) back to Atlanta in exchange for Williams, but it's unlikely Akyol will ever play a game in the NBA. The actual corresponding move here for the Hawks will be signing Gary Neal to a 10-day contract. Williams is going to be waived in Denver, and the 13-year-veteran may have already played his final NBA game. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 5:36 am

  • Lou Williams scores 24 points in loss
Lou Williams scored 24 points on 8-of-17 shooting in Tuesday's loss to Denver.

Advice: He's officially hot again after scoring 26 points in his previous outing. Williams started the last game with Luol Deng (wrist) out, but the Lakers went with Brandon Ingram in the first unit this time around and it will likely stick. Williams still logged 31 minutes because he helped the Lakers climb back into this game, adding seven assists, four rebounds and two triples. He won't be this good going forward and he's a candidate to be moved before the trade deadline, but he's worth owning right now and is giving Eric Gordon a run for his money for the Sixth Man of the Year Award. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:23 pm
  • Brandon Ingram stuffs the stat sheet in loss
Brandon Ingram moved into the starting lineup on Tuesday vs. the Nuggets and stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, five rebounds, four assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

Advice: This was arguably one of his best games as a pro. Ingram finished 6-of-14 from the field and 1-of-2 from the line with zero turnovers. With Luol Deng (wrist) out indefinitely, Ingram is looking at 30+ minutes per night moving forward. We'd like to see him do it again because he was averaging 10.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.7 blocks and 1.0 3-pointer in his previous nine January games, and there are a couple of better fantasy pickups around the league including Raymond Felton and Austin Rivers. If those guys are unavailable, give Ingram a look, but expect some bumps in the road. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:16 pm
  • Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scores 14 points
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scored 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting in Tuesday's loss to Toronto.

Advice: This was his second game in a row with 14 points, but he played 26 minutes this time compared to 17 on Sunday. He also added eight rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in one of his better games of the season. A recent report by Zack Lowe of ESPN indicated that the Nets are "willing" to listen to offers for the second-year wing, but he's one of the few building blocks on the roster and a move away from Brooklyn would likely be a bad thing for his value -- he has a great path to extended minutes on the Nets. To be clear, a trade seems very unlikely and RHJ looks like a nice stash for the second half of the season. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:18 pm
  • Goran Dragic flirts with triple-double in win
Goran Dragic hit 8-of-15 shots and a 3-pointer for 21 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, a steal and six turnovers in Tuesday's 109-103 win over the Rockets.

Advice: The six turnovers were weird and matched James Harden's output in that category, but the rest of his game was stellar, as usual. As long as Dragic isn't traded, he should continue to rack up gaudy stats for the Heat. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:17 pm
  • Brandon Ingram will start on Tuesday
Brandon Ingram will start on Tuesday vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: Luol Deng (wrist) is considered out indefinitely, so the rookie is looking at a hefty workload going forward. As a starter this season, Ingram has posted averages of 9.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.6 blocks and 0.7 triples in 11 games. We'll let you know how he fares tonight. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:12 pm
  • Gary Harris (ankle) out for Nuggets
As expected, Gary Harris will not play for the Nuggets on Tuesday due to a sprained right ankle.

Advice: Will Barton (flu) is available and it would be surprising if both he and Jameer Nelson don't make some noise tonight in Harris' absence. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:19 pm
    Injured

  • Raymond Felton looking at a bump in minutes
Raymond Felton is looking at a bump in minutes with Chris Paul (thumb surgery) out for the next 6-8 weeks.

Advice: Felton started the second half of Monday's game and looked great with 15 points on 7-of-7 shooting with six assists, three rebounds, one block, one steal and two turnovers in 27 minutes, and he averaged 10.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.7 triples in six previous starts this season. He's likely going to take over the starting role in Los Angeles and looks like a strong pickup in standard leagues. Austin Rivers also looks like a great pickup. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 4:30 pm
  • MIN views Kris Dunn as long-term starter
The Timberwolves reportedly view Kris Dunn as their long-term starting point guard.

Advice: The Vertical broke news on Tuesday that Minnesota is actively shopping Ricky Rubio with the intent of being able to eventually turn over the reins to Dunn, so it’s highly likely that the rookie will be unleashed towards the end of the year. That being said, Dunn has a shaky jumper (37.8 percent shooting) and is not capable of consistently hitting the 3-point shot (0.4), so those two things will likely keep his value in check even when he's getting 30 minutes a night. Still, his upside in steals and assists makes him a reasonable guy to stash in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 1:59 pm
  • Gary Harris (ankle): X-rays are negative
X-rays on Gary Harris' sprained right ankle came back negative, but Harris is not expected to be available on Tuesday when the Nuggets play the L.A. Lakers.

Advice: Harris has played just 17 of the Nuggets 38 games this season due to a variety of groin and foot injuries, and it appears he will miss at least one more due to this ankle sprain. The good news is that this injury seems relatively minor. "I don’t think this is nearly as serious or severe as the previous injury," coach Mike Malone said. Jameer Nelson and Will Barton will likely see a boost if Harris is unable to play. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:44 am
    Injured

  • Ty Lawson (ankle) probable for Wednesday
Ty Lawson (ankle) is expected to play Wednesday vs. the Pacers.

Advice: Lawson twisted his left ankle in the second half of the Sunday's game vs. OKC and was unable to return. However, it appears that the injury is minor and that Lawson "isn't expecting to miss" the Kings next game, which is Wednesday vs. Indiana. Stay tuned for a formal update from the team regarding his status. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:12 am
  • J.J. Redick scores 20 with five triples
J.J. Redick scored 20 points with five 3-pointers in Monday's win over the Thunder.

Advice: He shot 7-of-15 from the field in just 27 minutes, adding two assists, one rebound and two steals. Redick is rolling with averages of 19.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.6 steals and 3.8 triples over his last five games, but expect his numbers to take a hit when Blake Griffin (knee) returns in the near future. Chris Paul (sprained thumb) picked up an injury tonight, but Redick won't benefit as much if CP3 misses time because his usage rate, true shooting percentage and offensive rating are lower when CP3 isn't on the court. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:30 pm
  • Raymond Felton scores 15 on 7-of-7 shooting
Raymond Felton scored 15 points on a perfect 7-of-7 shooting in Monday's 120-98 win over the Thunder on Monday.

Advice: Chris Paul left the game with a sprained left thumb and did not return, so Felton started the second half and added six assists, three rebounds, one block, one steal and two turnovers in 27 minutes. X-rays were negative on Paul's thumb, but he is scheduled to have an MRI on Tuesday at which point we will know if he needs to miss additional time. Felton looks like a nice speculative pickup with averages of 10.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.7 triples in six previous starts this season. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:13 pm
  • P.J. Tucker hauls in season-high 13 boards
P.J. Tucker tied his season high with 13 rebounds and added eight points and two steals in 27 minutes on Monday.

Advice: Tucker is averaging just 6.2 points over his last five games, but also 7.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 29 minutes a game. He doesn't hit threes, hand out assists or block shots, and with his shaky field goal percentage and lack of scoring, is a borderline player to target in fantasy leagues. Chances are you can do better off your waiver wire. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:55 pm
  • Wes Johnson (personal) ruled out Monday
Wes Johnson (personal) will not play on Monday vs. the Thunder.

Advice: Johnson is only averaging 13.8 minutes over his last five games, so this won't have many fantasy implications. Alan Anderson could pick up a few extra minutes in his absence, but shouldn't be trusted in any format. Rotoworld.com Monday, 6:37 pm
  • Wilson Chandler scores nine off Denver bench
Wilson Chandler came off the bench in Denver victory over Orlando and finished with nine points (on 4-of-12 shooting), eight rebounds, three assists, two turnovers, one 3-pointer and a steal.

Advice: Kenneth Faried slid into the starting lineup on Monday, which limited Chandler impact. It was actually the first time all season Chandler played fewer than 23 minutes. Wilson had been hot coming into Monday (averaging 17.4 points and 5.8 boards in 31.1 minutes over his last five games), so Monday's game can be viewed as a blip on the radar for the time being... Rotoworld.com Monday, 5:27 pm
  • Update: Brandon Knight (wrist) out Monday
Updating a previous report, Brandon Knight (sprained right wrist) will not play on Monday vs. the Jazz.

Advice: A previous report indicated that he will be "available," but the Suns will hold him out for the second straight game. Knight wasn't even updated on Saturday vs. the Spurs and showed up in the box score as a "DNP-sprained right wrist," so it's not clear when he will return to action. He's just a stash in the hope that he's traded before the deadline. Rotoworld.com Monday, 5:24 pm
  • Gary Harris (ankle) doubtful Tuesday vs. LAL
Gary Harris (right ankle sprain) is doubtful to play Tuesday vs. the Lakers.

Advice: "It is the same leg that his foot injury was on but this is separate," said head coach Mike Malone. "It is an ankle thing and he is doubtful for [Tuesday's game against the Lakers]." With Harris on the sidelines, Jameer Nelson could enter the starting lineup and Will Barton will see some increased opportunity with the second unit. Jamal Murray could also get into the rotation, although he only managed to get on the court for five minutes on Monday despite the game being a blowout. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:41 pm
    Injured

  • Brandon Knight (wrist) available to play
Brandon Knight (sprained right wrist) will be available to play Monday vs. the Jazz.

Advice: Available to play doesn't always mean will play, so Knight is a dubious fantasy target in most settings tonight. Over the past month, Knight has only been averaging 18.1 minutes a game, ranking well outside the top-150, so he can only be viewed as a stash with hopes he'll get traded to a better situation. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:32 pm
  • Gary Harris (ankle) will not return Monday
Gary Harris (right ankle sprain) will not return to Monday's game against the Magic.

Advice: Ugh. Harris just hasn't been able to stay healthy this season, as he's had some major issues with his right leg. He's now missed time with a groin and foot injury (both to his right leg), and it's looking like this new ankle injury could again force him to the sidelines for at least a few games. Will Barton and Jamal Murray will benefit sans Harris, with Barton offering a bit more upside. The only positive here is that X-rays came back negative, but we should get a rough timetable after he undergoes an MRI. Rotoworld.com Monday, 2:45 pm
    Injured

  • Gary Harris (groin) headed to the locker room
Gary Harris (right groin) is headed to the locker room.

Advice: Harris appeared to tweak his groin on a drive to the hoop, and after being evaluated on the bench, the Nuggets trainers decided to take him back to the locker room for further evaluation. It's worth noting that he was walking with a noticeable limp, which isn't the greatest sign. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com Monday, 2:26 pm
    Injured

  • Wilson Chandler will come off the bench Mon
Wilson Chandler will come off the bench for Monday's game against the Magic.

Advice: Kenneth Faried will get the start in what is likely a matchup based move, but Chandler tends to get his numbers regardless of how he enters the game, so his value won't take much of a hit with the second unit. Feel free to get him active for a favorable matchup with the Magic. Rotoworld.com Monday, 1:34 pm
  • Harris, Gallinari starting Monday vs. Magic
Gary Harris (groin) and Danilo Gallinari (ankle) will be in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Magic.

Advice: They were both listed as probable so no surprises here. Emmanuel Mudiay, Kenneth Faried and Nikola Jokic will join them in the starting five with Wilson Chandler heading to the bench. Feel free to get Harris and The Rooster active. Rotoworld.com Monday, 1:26 pm
    Injured

  • Zach LaVine returned to action on Sunday January 15. Rotoworld.com Monday, 12:19 am
  • Ty Lawson exits Sunday's game vs. OKC
Ty Lawson (ankle) twisted his left ankle and will miss the remainder of Sunday's game against the Thunder.

Advice: Lawson played 20 minutes and scored four points with four assists, one rebound and one steal before leaving the game. If he misses any time, Darren Collison and Garrett Temple will get a boost. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:22 pm
  • Rondae Hollis-Jefferson plays well vs Houston
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scored 14 points (5-of-8 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs) during Sunday's home loss to the Rockets, adding seven boards, three steals and two assists.

Advice: RHJ also committed five turnovers and he played just 17 minutes in the blowout loss, but at least he was active while on the court tonight. He's an interesting rest-of-season target, since the Nets are likely to emphasize the development of their young guys, but most owners should wait before stashing him. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 6:25 pm
  • Norman Powell scores 21 points off the bench
Norman Powell got hot off the bench during Sunday's blowout win over the Knicks, tallying 21 points, one 3-pointer, one rebound, one steal and two turnovers in 24 minutes.

Advice: Powell went 7-of-13 from the field and 6-of-6 from the charity stripe, giving him a solid true shooting percentage of 67.1 on the evening as he took advantage of the Knicks' lackluster effort on defense. Powell got some extended minutes tonight with the game being a blowout, but as long as DeMarre Carroll is healthy, Powell's playing time will be too inconsistent to depend on him in standard settings. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 4:11 pm
  • Zach LaVine scores 11 points w/ three treys
Zach LaVine (hip) scored 11 points on 3-of-8 shooting in his return from a two-game absence on Sunday, adding three 3-pointers, five boards, one assist, one steal and one turnover in 34 minutes.

Advice: LaVine looked a bit rusty out there, and he didn't connect on any of his attempts from inside the arc, but the heavy minutes would suggest that he'll be just fine for Tuesday's game in San Antonio. LaVine popped off for 25 points with four triples in his last game against the Spurs, so his owners can expect a bounce-back performance. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 1:21 pm
  • Gary Harris, Gallinari probable for Monday
Gary Harris (groin) and Danilo Gallinari (ankle) are probable to play Monday vs. the Magic.

Advice: Harris got back to the court following a one-game stint on the sidelines on Thursday, and Gallinari has been playing through his ankle soreness, so both these guys should be in uniform on Monday night. Check back for official confirmation following Monday morning's shootaround. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 11:59 am
    Injured

  • Brandon Knight (wrist) didn't play
Brandon Knight showed up on the box score as a "DNP-sprained right wrist" on Saturday.

Advice: As far as we can tell, there was nothing on Knight before or after the game on Knight's status from the team or the people covering the team right now. Knight was out for the same ailment back on Jan. 3, so take that for what it's worth. Obviously Knight won't be playing much with the Suns wanting to get a look at Tyler Ulis, so he will need a trade or an injury to the starters to have value. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 10:42 am
  • Zach LaVine (hip) is active for Sunday
Zach LaVine (hip) is active for Sunday's game vs. the Mavericks.

Advice: He will be returning from a two-game absence, but there's no word of any restrictions. LaVine made it though warmups just fine and is safe to deploy in season-long leagues. We'll let you know how he looks after the game. Brandon Rush will return to the bench. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 10:05 am
  • Zach LaVine (hip) is a game-time call
Zach LaVine (hip) is a game-time call vs. the Mavericks on Sunday.

Advice: He's going to go through warmups and will play if his hip feels good according to coach Tom Thibodeau. If LaVine is able to return from a two-game absence, Brandon Rush will shift back to the bench. LaVine was also a game-time on Friday vs. the Thunder, so don't consider him as a lock to play. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 9:41 am
  • P.J. Tucker scores six points
P.J. Tucker scored six points with five rebounds, two assists, four steals and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes against the Spurs on Saturday.

Advice: He did get the business from Kawhi Leonard for most of this game, but Tucker came up big late to get the big win. He'll have some low-end value while the Suns are technically in playoff contention, but he's only a guy on deep-league radars. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:03 pm
  • Tony Parker scores 14 points
Tony Parker scored 14 points as the only point guard against the Suns on Saturday, adding one rebound, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: He did take a hard knee to his right thigh from Tyler Ulis and did check out. Parker did not go to the locker room and he did return. He's not the most durable guy out there, so maybe he has a contusion to his thigh. The Spurs could need him badly this week as the only healthy point guard, so we'll be watching if this thigh issue is a problem. He's not worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 6:33 pm
  • Raymond Felton scores 15 points vs. Lakers
Raymond Felton scored 15 points with two rebounds, four assists and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes against the Lakers on Saturday.

Advice: This wasn't really a garbage-time special for Felton in a very impressive game. He also played next to Chris Paul for eight minutes today, which is close to double his average in the 20 previous games they were paired together. Felton has been hanging around top-150 value in his last 10, but that's still close to his ceiling while CP3 is healthy. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:19 pm
  • Lou Williams starts, struggles on Saturday
Lou Williams got the start at small forward for Luol Deng (rest) against the Clippers on Saturday, making 4-of-12 from the field for 13 points with two rebounds, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in 22 minutes.

Advice: The Lakers used him as a small-ball three in the preseason and thought it might work against Austin Rivers, but it didn't go as planned. Williams is really seeing a sharp decline in playing time, averaging just 19.0 per game in his previous January games. The Lakers are playing their younger guys more, so he's a cut candidate in shallower formats due to his trouble with efficiency. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 2:57 pm
  • Brandon Ingram plays really well in loss
Brandon Ingram scored 14 points with five rebounds, five assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: With Luol Deng resting, Ingram started the second half. He's playing a lot better and it has a lot to do with his shot selection. Ingram is open more on his jumper lately and he's also been very good close to the basket, making 64.0 percent on his shots within eight feet in his previous 10 -- that accounts for 38 percent of his total. Ingram is trending up, but his standalone value isn't that great right now. He should have solid value in about a month and is worth a pickup in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 2:53 pm
  • Brandon Ingram starts 3Q over Lou
Brandon Ingram started the third quarter over Lou Williams on Saturday.

Advice: The Lakers were torched in the first half and were down 19 at half, so that's likely the reasoning here. There's no reason to react to this news from a fantasy perspective. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 1:55 pm
  • Lou Williams listed as starter vs. Clippers
Lou Williams is listed as the starter against the Clippers on Saturday for Luol Deng (rest).

Advice: The Clippers also go small with Austin Rivers as their third starting guard, so it's likely a matchup move. Brandon Ingram should still get a nice amount of minutes off the bench while Williams has a chance for 30 minutes tonight as well. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:24 pm
  • Zach LaVine (hip) questionable for Sunday
Zach LaVine (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Mavs.

Advice: LaVine has missed each of the Wolves last two games, but appears to be inching closer to a return. Brandon Rush has started in place of LaVine and has played surprisingly well. Rush scored 12 points on Wednesday and then backed that up with 11 points and four rebounds in a team-high 40 minutes on Friday. Still, Rush would be a risky DFS punt on Sunday, even if LaVine does not play. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 11:11 am
  • Ty Lawson scores 17 points vs. Cavs
Ty Lawson scored 17 points with four rebounds, four assists and three turnovers in 26 minutes against the Cavs on Friday.

Advice: The Kings are really starting to ditch the two-PG lineups, which is going to hurt Lawson and Darren Collison, who scored 13 points with one rebound, four assists and two 3-pointers. Lawson is trending back down and is only a borderline asset in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:53 pm
  • Sean Kilpatrick has a rough game vs. TOR
Sean Kilpatrick played off the ball for most of his 22 minutes against the Raptors on Friday, scoring six points with two rebounds and no assists.

Advice: After Kilpatrick saw the offense fall apart as the point guard down the stretch on Thursday, there's a chance coach Kenny Atkinson has lost confidence in him as a ball handler. He's really been a letdown since Jeremy Lin (hamstring) has been out, so his owners can probably start weighing their options. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:57 pm
  • Zach LaVine (hip) will be inactive on Friday
Zach LaVine (hip) will be inactive on Friday against the Thunder.

Advice: They ruled him out somewhat early for his game-time decision, so he could miss the next game on Sunday against the Mavs. The matchup is a little different today for the Wolves because the Thunder obviously don't shoot anywhere close to as many threes as the Rockets, but Brandon Rush should still get some heavy run. Shabazz Muhammad has also stepped up. Rotoworld.com Friday, 4:03 pm
  • Delon Wright cleared for practice
Delon Wright (shoulder) has been cleared for team practice.

Advice: Wright dropped a "great news" with a smiley face emoji on Twitter yesterday, so now we know why. Wright is still only going to be third on the depth chart, but he could be worth a look in DFS if the Raptors have to sit Kyle Lowry and/or Cory Joseph. Rotoworld.com Friday, 12:11 pm
  • Orlando expressed interest in Goran Dragic
The Orlando Magic, among other teams, have expressed interest in Goran Dragic, according to ESPN's Zach Lowe.

Advice: Dragic will surely be one of the names that are bandied about over the next month, in the lead-up to February's trade deadline. It's hard to imagine a scenario that is more fantasy-friendly to Dragic than the situation in Miami right now. Dragic is the offensive focal point for the short-handed Heat. His Usage Rate of 26.5 represents a career high. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:08 am
  • Zach LaVine (hip) a game-time decision Friday
Zach LaVine (hip) said "I don't know" when he asked after shootaround if he would play Friday night vs. OKC.

Advice: Here is the full quote from LaVine: "I don't know. Want to make sure I'm ok... Make sure I'm 100 percent." It seems he is headed in the right direction, but it would be sheer speculation to try and predict if he will return on Friday night. It will come down to a game-time decision. For wat it's worth, he is listed as questionable. If LaVine can't play, Brandon Rush, Shabazz Muhammad and Nemanja Bjelica should see an uptick in minutes. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:16 am
  • Clippers want Jamal Crawford to keep shooting
Jamal Crawford's teammates and coaches are encouraging him to shoot his way out of his recent slump.

Advice: Over the Clippers last eight games, Crawford (the reigning Sixth Man of the Year) is averaging just 9.0 points, while shooting a frigid 28.9 percent from the field and 19.2 percent from 3-point territory. "All my teammates are saying, ‘Be more aggressive.’ Doc’s saying, ‘Stop thinking. Just play,’" said Crawford. He's been a natural-born scorer his whole life, so it is safe to assume Jamal will snap out of slump sooner rather than later. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:44 am
  • Brandon Ingram scores nine in 32 minutes
Brandon Ingram scored nine points with two rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes against the Spurs on Thursday.

Advice: The sprained wrist injury clearly didn't affect his playing time -- it is to his non-shooting wrist. Ingram said he was only dealing with some discomfort and didn't even notice the injury the day of on Wednesday, so he should be fine going forward. The more the Lakers lose, the better Ingram's fantasy value will be. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:18 pm
  • Rondae Hollis-Jefferson moves to the bench
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson moved back to the bench against the Pelicans on Thursday, scoring four points with four rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block in 18 minutes.

Advice: The minutes haven't been there for RHJ. He's been squeezed out a bit for small forward minutes, but coach Kenny Atkinson has used him more at the four. Hollis-Jefferson will likely get minutes later in the season, so he's more of a stash right now. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:12 pm
  • Sean Kilpatrick scores 18 points in loss
Sean Kilpatrick scored 18 points with seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and three 3-pointers in 27 minutes against the Pelicans on Thursday.

Advice: Isaiah Whitehead (knee) did not return and the lack of a point guard hurt the Nets with seven turnovers in the fourth quarter. After Spencer Dinwiddie checked out, Kilpatrick was running the offense down the stretch, which could continue if Whitehead needs to miss more time. After a horrendous start to his 2017, Kilpatrick has improved over his last three. If he was dropped go ahead and give him a look. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:57 pm
  • Brandon Ingram will play on Thursday night
Brandon Ingram (wrist) will play on Thursday night against the Spurs.

Advice: X-rays were negative on Ingram's left wrist. He didn't realize he hurt it on Wednesday and had a precautionary X-ray after dealing with some soreness today. Expect Ingram to play minutes in the uppers 20s. He is more of a stash in standard leagues, but he is playing a lot better lately. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 5:20 pm
  • Brandon Ingram sprains wrist, getting X-ray
Brandon Ingram sprained his left wrist at practice on Wednesday and will be getting X-rays.

Advice: He certainly has a chance to miss tonight's game against the Spurs. We don't have many details now, but the Lakers are usually terrific with sharing news on their injured players. If he's out, we should see more three-guard lineups and Luol Deng. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 4:21 pm
  • Wilson Chandler scores 21 in 32 minutes
Wilson Chandler scored 21 points in 32 minutes against the Pacers on Thursday, adding eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He likes playing overseas and tore it up in China during the NBA lockout season. After a sub-par finish to his 2016, Chandler is rolling in 2017 with averages of 17.4 points, 5.8 boards, 2.4 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.0 treys. He is a bit of a sell-high player due to trade rumors and being injury prone. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 2:44 pm
  • Gary Harris picks up where he left off
Gary Harris (groin) returned to action on Thursday with 16 points, five rebounds, six assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.

Advice: This is a very Harris-like line with a little bit of everything in efficient fashion, making 6-of-11 from the field and all three free throws. Harris did miss his last game due to a groin strain, which is what cost him the first four games of the regular season and most of the preseason. Harris won't light up the box score, but he's safe enough to own in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 2:40 pm
    Injured

  • Zach LaVine (hip) questionable for Friday
Zach LaVine (hip) is questionable for Friday against the Thunder.

Advice: He did some rehab work on Thursday and is feeling better. LaVine was ruled out about an hour before Wednesday's game due to his hip contusion injury on Monday, so he should be close. LaVine is tied with Kyle Lowry for minutes per game with two DNPs on the season. If he can't go, Brandon Rush should get another chance to start. Shabazz Muhammad and Nemanja Bjelica would also benefit. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 1:15 pm
  • Mudiay, Harris, Gallo, Chandler & Jokic start
Emmanuel Mudiay, Gary Harris, Danilo Gallinaro, Wilson Chandler and Nikola Jokic will start against the Pacers on Thursday.

Advice: The Nuggets go back to their usual starting lineup with most of their depth set for this one -- Darrell Arthur (leg) is out. Chandler should be looking at minutes in the low 30s, assuming his illness doesn't limit him. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:59 am
  • Wilson Chandler will play in London
Wilson Chandler (illness) will play in London against the Pacers on Thursday.

Advice: He popped up on the injury report earlier today and it sounds like he's good to go. He'll obviously be a risky DFS play because he may not be able to finish the game. With Darrell Arthur (leg) out, Chandler has a good chance to start. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:39 am
  • Wilson Chandler (illness) is questionable
Wilson Chandler (illness) is questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Pacers.

Advice: It feels like half the NBA is dealing with an illness right now including a few players on the Nuggets. We've seen studs like Jimmy Butler and Giannis Antetokounmpo post duds while playing through an illness, so Chandler will be very risky in DFS if he suits up. Danilo Gallinari (ankle) was originally questionable, but he's now expected to play and should benefit if Chandler sits. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:26 am
  • J.J. Redick: 22 pts w/ season-high five dimes
J.J. Redick scored 22 points on 7-of-16 FGs and 5-of-7 FTs vs. the Magic on Wednesday, adding a season-high five assists and six rebounds in 36 minutes.

Advice: Redick's six rebounds were his second-highest total of the season, trailing only Sunday's total of seven boards, and he's been terrific in the month of January. He added three 3-pointers and one block without a single turnover tonight, and needs to be started in all leagues until (or unless) he cools off. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:35 pm
  • Raymond Felton hits 4-of-6 shots in 16 mins
Raymond Felton came off the bench vs. Orlando on Wednesday, making 4-of-6 shots to finish with eight points and three boards in 17 minutes.

Advice: Felton started L.A.'s last game, but he returned to the second unit with Austin Rivers healthy tonight. Felton can be ignored in most leagues, but he's an interesting streaming play when injuries strike L.A.'s backcourt. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:31 pm
  • Andrew Wiggins scores 28, MIN gets win streak
Andrew Wiggins helped the Wolves earn their second win streak of the season on Wednesday, scoring 28 points (11-of-20 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs) with two 3-pointers, four boards, two assists and one block.

Advice: Wiggins' lack of supporting stats draws a lot of attention for fantasy purposes, so it was nice to see him scoring efficiently while chipping in elsewhere. The Wolves are fourth in the league in total rebound rate, at 51.8, and they crushed the Rockets on the glass tonight with a 49-32 advantage, helping to seal the win. They can establish a season-best three-game streak by defeating the visiting Thunder on Friday. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:10 pm
  • Raymond Felton headed to bench Wednesday
Raymond Felton will likely shift to the bench with Austin Rivers returning to the starting lineup on Wednesday.

Advice: Rivers missed Sunday's game with the flu but he's healthy tonight, so the veteran Felton's minutes should take a significant hit. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 5:56 pm
  • Zach LaVine (hip) ruled out for Wednesday
Zach LaVine (hip) has officially been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Rockets.

Advice: This is far from surprising with LaVine being listed as doubtful and limited at shootaround. With LaVine watching from the sidelines, Namanja Bjelica, Shabazz Muhammad and Kris Dunn will all see a boost in value with Bjelica being the preferable DFS target. For now, we'll be considering LaVine questionable for Friday's game against OKC. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:07 pm
  • Brandon Ingram scores 11, hits two treys
Brandon Ingram scored 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting vs. the Blazers on Tuesday.

Advice: The rookie added four rebounds, two assists, one block and two triples in 26 minutes. Luol Deng was the only starter with double-digit points, so Ingram didn't get as much burn this time. With that said, He's now scored an average of 14.0 points over his last four games with a combined six 3-pointers, so he's slowly graduating from a stash to a standard-league asset. • Tony Parker scores 14 w/ seven assists
Tony Parker scored 14 points with seven assists in Tuesday's loss to the Bucks.

Advice: Parker finished 7-of-15 from the field with three boards, one steal and two turnovers, but this comes on the heels of a two-point dud against the Hornets on Saturday. Even when you include that hiccup, Parker is still averaging a respectable 14.8 points, 6.6 assists, 3.0 boards and 0.6 3-pointers over his last five games. The Spurs don't have another back-to-back set until Jan. 23, so that helps his short term outlook. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:40 pm
  • Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scores 10 points
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson started on Tuesday vs. the Hawks and scored 10 points on 2-of-9 shooting.

Advice: RHJ drew the start in place of Trevor Booker (hip), but Booker said after the game that he's expecting to play on Thursday. Hollis-Jefferson was able to grab seven rebounds with one assist and hit all six of his free throws, but didn't really make the most of his opportunity in this one. He only averages 20.1 minutes per game as a reserve, so he's hard to trust in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:34 pm
  • Norman Powell back to the bench Tuesday
Patrick Patterson will return to Toronto's starting lineup on Tuesday vs. Boston, bumping Norman Powell back to the bench.

Advice: Prior to the start on Saturday, Powell had played more than 12 minutes just once in the Raptors previous seven games. Thus, there is limited fantasy impact as a result of his slide back to a reserve role. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 4:28 pm
  • Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will start on Tuesday
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will return to the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Hawks.

Advice: Trevor Booker (hip) is out tonight, which is what prompted the change, and it'll be interesting to see how RHJ fares in his return to the starting lineup. Isaiah Whitehead, Joe Harris, Bojan Bogdanovic and Brook Lopez will join him in the starting five for tonight's game. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 3:45 pm
