  • Anthony Davis (right quad) probable Monday
Anthony Davis (right quad) is expected to play on Monday vs. the Cavaliers according to coach Alvin Gentry.

Advice: Davis missed his second practice in a row on Sunday, but the Pelicans are likely just being cautious with their franchise center. Gentry said Davis' injury is "basically a charley horse," but keep in mind that he's been battling through an absurd amount of other ailments recently. While Davis said he's getting better every day, he added that he's still sore and is "not sure" about his status. Even with Davis considered probable, Terrence Jones should be owned as an elite handcuff. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:15 am
  • Casey encouraging Sullinger to shoot
Raptors coach Dwane Casey is encouraging Jared Sullinger to shoot triples.

Advice: "If he is wide open, those are good shots for him," Casey said. "He has made those in his career, he just has to make sure he is ready to shoot them conditioning-wise." Sullinger is just 1-of-6 from deep so far this season and is only 27.5 percent from deep in his career, so fantasy owners should keep their expectations in check. Sully has played 14 and 17 minutes in his two appearances, so it will be interesting to see what his workload looks like on Sunday vs. the Suns with the Raptors expected to be at full strength. • Darrell Arthur will be limited rest of season
Nuggets coach Michael Malone said he will keep an eye on Darrell Arthur's minutes the rest of the season.

Advice: "Yeah, probably through the rest of the year that’s what we’ll have to do," Malone said. "Even with practices I’m going to have to limit him. The one thing I love about Darrell, he knows one speed and one way to play, and that’s hard." The oft-injured forward is averaging 14.7 minutes per game this season and it doesn't sound like his role will be growing any time soon. Arthur is questionable to play on Sunday vs. the Wolves on the second night of a back-to-back set, so we may get a Jusuf Nurkic sighting. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:00 am
  • Watson hopes Suns keep Tyson Chandler
Suns coach Earl Watson said Tyson Chandler won't go anywhere if it was up to him.

Advice: "I have very little input, but if it was up to me, I love Tyson Chandler,’’ Watson said. "I think our front office loves Tyson Chandler. Tyson wants to be a part of this process. He doesn’t mind the work and building. Where most veteran players want to win now, they don’t want to put in the work. Tyson’s all about putting in the work every day." He has two years left on his contract valued at $26.5 million, and his strong play this season has already caught the eye of several teams including the Blazers. The Suns are obviously going to explore his value at the trade deadline since they're rebuilding, but interested teams should be prepared to pay up. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:22 am
  • Tristan Thompson returned to action on Saturday January 21. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:48 pm
  • Myles Turner scores 13 points vs. Gobert
Myles Turner scored 13 points with seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes against the Jazz on Saturday.

Advice: That'll definitely work against Rudy Gobert. At just 20 years old, Turner is one of the toughest problems at center for coaches because he stretches the floor to so well and already has a great low-post presence. Plus, he's already an elite shot blocker, ranking fourth in the NBA for blocks with fantastic shot-altering skills. He'll be in the mix as a top-20 selection next season. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:09 pm
  • Nikola Jokic scores 19 in just 21 minutes
Nikola Jokic made 8-of-11 from the field for 19 points during an easy 123-98 win over the Clippers on Saturday, adding 10 rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers in just 21 minutes.

Advice: That's a lot damage in just 21 minutes and it's still an awesome line. The Nuggets crushed this one with a wire-to-wire victory. Jokic's efficiency continues to be the story and it's a big reason why only the Spurs have a better offensive efficiency rating in the last 15 games. We have Karl-Anthony Towns vs. Nikola Jokic Sunday at 7:00 EST, so tell your friends you won't be able to make it to watch the AFC Championship Game. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:06 pm
  • Darrell Arthur plays 13 minutes
Darrell Arthur (knee) played 13 minutes with two rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: It was a little surprising to see Arthur out there for double-digit minutes. Coach Mike Malone said Arthur will have his minutes managed all season due to his arthritic knees. Even in super deep leagues, he will be way too annoying to own. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:49 pm
  • Nurkic has terrific game vs. Clipers
Jusuf Nurkic scored 12 points with five rebounds, three assists and no turnovers in 20 minutes against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: Only six of these minutes were in garbage time, so this may be one of the most encouraging games for Nurkic in a while. He gets a good matchup on paper against the larger Wolves frontline and the Nuggets seem committed to playing Kenneth Faried at the four most of the time. Nurkic still isn't a hot add and really needs a trade to reach his potential. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:44 pm
  • Robin Lopez nearly double-doubles
Robin Lopez scored nine points with eight rebounds, two assists and one block in 29 minutes on Saturday against the Kings.

Advice: Lopez is averaging 11.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game over his last five. He does not produce eye-popping numbers, but has returned decent value to fantasy owners this season. The Bulls face the Magic on Tuesday, which is a good matchup for Lopez, as they are giving up the fifth most rebounds per game with a -2.1 differential. They are also yielding the sixth most fantasy points per game to centers. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:31 pm
  • Marreese Speights scores 18 in start
Marreese Speights scored 18 points in a start against the Nuggets on Saturday, adding three rebounds, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes.

Advice: His 74th start of his career and first since January 2015 did not result in a win despite his strong start. Speights came off the bench to start the second half, so this may have been a matchup move. Speights has been hanging in the mid-rounds these days, but his value will take a hit once Blake Griffin (knee) comes back. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:19 pm
  • Clint Capela plays 16 minutes on Saturday
Clint Capela came off the bench and had five points, four rebounds, two assists and one block in just 16 minutes on Saturday.

Advice: Capela blew up for 22 points and 12 boards in 21 minutes on Friday, but his minutes cut is understandable in a back-to-back situation with him coming off a broken leg. In any case, Capela's arrow is pointing up, while Montrezl Harrell's is pointing down. As long as Capela doesn't suffer a setback, you have to think he'll be back in the starting unit by the end of the upcoming week, if not much sooner. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:05 pm
  • Montrezl Harrell plays 16 minutes in start
Montrezl Harrell started again on Saturday, but played just 16 minutes and finished with six points and two rebounds.

Advice: We said in his previous blurb that he'll need to have 20-24 minutes to hold value and those of you who dropped him early when Clint Capela was on the verge of a return should feel better about that decision after this one. There's still a chance Harrell could hold a little value, but he and Capela both got 16 minutes tonight and Capela's run should only increase as he gets healthy from a broken leg. Harrell is likely to end up on waivers in a ton of leagues if he continues to see his minutes drop, while a move to the bench is likely coming as well. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:01 pm
  • Kristaps Porzingis scores 14 in 33 minutes
Kristaps Porzingis played 33 minutes, hit 7-of-13 shots and scored 14 points on Saturday, but the good news ends there.

Advice: He didn't hit a 3-pointer (0-for-3), had just one rebound, one steal, one block and two assists in the loss. The good news is that he's back and playing solid minutes, but his numbers over his last two games have not been impressive. Hopefully it's just rust after missing four games with an achilles injury, but he's clearly not back to 100 percent just yet. Hopefully he turns it around against the Pacers on Monday, but there are signs he's not far off, as he's hit 16-of-30 shots in his two games since returning. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:45 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside double-doubles vs. the Bucks
Hassan Whiteside scored 16 points with 15 rebounds and two blocks in Saturday's win over Milwaukee.

Advice: Whiteside recorded his 27th double-double of the season and continues to play well for the Heat. After rolling his ankle in the last game, he did not appear to have any lingering effects tonight. He's averaging career highs in minutes, points and rebounds. Aside from his poor free throw shooting, there's still hope for his owners to get what they paid for on draft day. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:27 pm
  • Tyson Chandler grabs 16 rebounds vs. Knicks
Tyson Chandler had nine points, 16 rebounds and a steal in 29 minutes against the Knicks on Saturday.

Advice: He played well against his former team and has now played quite well in 10 straight games. There's still a chance the Suns move on to developing Alex Len, but Chandler is rolling right now, grabbing at least 15 rebounds in seven straight games. He's a must-own player again for now. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:25 pm
  • Mile High Buckets: Mo Speights starting
Marreese Speights will start against the Nuggets on Saturday.

Advice: Mo Buckets has been lighting it up with treys in 17 straight, so he'll be taking those into altitude. Speights in a starting role is very intriguing, but it's hard to pick him up long term with Blake Griffin getting closer. If you want to use him for this week, give him a look. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:31 pm
  • Mudiay, Will, Gallo, Faried, Jokic starting
Emmanuel Mudiay, Will Barton, Danilo Gallinari, Kenneth Faried and Nikola Jokic will start against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: He is fine and should feast in this game as long as he doesn't get into foul trouble. Trust the Jokic. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:26 pm
  • Darrell Arthur to be inactive often?
Darrell Arthur (knee) is expected to rest and miss practices throughout the season.

Advice: He is dealing with arthritis in his need, so the Nuggets will be cautious with him all season. This is not surprising at all based on his injury history. Arthur may not be in the rotation while Kenneth Faried is active. Leave him on the wire almost everywhere. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:26 pm
  • Porzingis starting, Kuzminskas to bench
Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) will start and Mindaugas Kuzminskas will come off the bench against the Suns on Saturday.

Advice: The Knicks are playing their old lineup here and will shift Carmelo Anthony back to the three. We'll see how the Knicks stagger KP, which was a good plan earlier this season. Porzingis should be all set in a fantastic matchup today. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:06 pm
  • Anthony Davis (right quad) doesn't practice
Anthony Davis (right quad) did not practice on Saturday.

Advice: Coach Alvin Gentry said he doesn't believe it will be a long-term issue. Davis has been taking an absurd amount of bumps and bruises lately and he was limping around for most of the second half on Friday. He's gone to the locker room more often than not lately, which has been a thorn in the side of his fantasy owners in DFS and in season long. The Pelicans are off until Monday, so he should be better for that one. Terrence Jones should still be owned in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:23 am
  • Patrick Patterson (knee) practices fully
Patrick Patterson (knee) went through the Raptors full practice on Saturday.

Advice: With Lucas Noguiera (concussion) also sidelined Friday night, the Raps went small and started Norman Powell and DeMarre Carroll at the forward spots. Jared Sullinger and Pascal Siakam saw 17 and 19 minutes, respectively, off the bench. The Raps next game is Sunday vs. Phoenix. We will have to wait for an update regarding Patterson's status for that contest. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:33 am
  • Darrell Arthur (knee) available on Saturday
Darrell Arthur (left knee soreness) will be available to play on Saturday, but will be on a minutes restriction.

Advice: Even once fully healthy, Arthur will have a difficult time earning heavy minutes with Kenneth Faried playing well of late. However, Arthur may cut into the playing time of Faried and Juan Hernangomez. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:28 am
  • Anthony Davis (quad) receiving treatment
The Pelicans did not provide an update on Anthony Davis' quad injury on Friday night, saying only that they would "take a look at it."

Advice: Davis suffered a right quad contusion seven minutes into the third quarter. Here is the full quote from coach Alvin Gentry: "He got kneed, we'll take a look at it. He got hit early on and he tried to play through it, and obviously it got to the point that it didn't make sense for him to be out there." Davis did not speak to the media after the game because he was receiving treatment. Remarkably, it was the fifth time in the last six games that Davis either left a game or missed it entirely because of an injury. The Pels don't play again until Monday, so we will likely have to wait for a formal update. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:56 am
  • Myles Turner scores 15 points in loss
Myles Turner scored 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting with four rebounds, two assists, three steals and two blocks in 33 minutes vs. the Lakers on Friday.

Advice: Turner is having a breakout season in every sense of the word and Pacers president Larry Bird gushed about his young center this week. "He wants to be great. He’s going to be great," Bird said. "To me, I think he’s got a chance to be one of the best players or maybe the best player [in the franchise’s history]." Turner is just 20 years old and is flirting with top-20 value in standard leagues on the season, so he's going to be a superstar in real life and in fantasy for a very long time. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:31 pm
  • Montrezl Harrell scores eight points
Montrezl Harrel scored eight points in a start against the Warriors on Friday, adding three rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal.

Advice: It'll be interesting for Harrell now that Clint Capela looked fantastic. For what it's worth, Harrell has looked better than Nene (rest), so maybe the Rockets just roll with two bigs. They also don't play two-center lineups, so the No. 2 battle will be important. We would still hold him in most cases because he would likely have value with 20-24 minutes. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:53 pm
  • Clint Capela scores career-high 22 points
Clint Capela showed he was close to 100 percent against the Warriors on Friday, scoring a career-high 22 points with 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 21 minutes.

Advice: We'll keep this one simple here. If Capela is somehow on your waiver wire, go fix that right now and pick him up. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:49 pm
  • Anthony Davis gets banged up yet again
Anthony Davis suffered a right quad contusion against the Nets on Friday, finishing with 22 points, nine rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks in 27 minutes.

Advice: That's yet another injury for Davis. In the last week, we have him down for bumps and bruises to the following areas: right quad, left hip, right hip, tailbone, left fingers, left thumb and right wrist. Before the injury, he was actually going off, but he was limping throughout the second half. He'll likely be on the injury report, but he has until Jan. 23 to get right. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:22 pm
  • Jared Sullinger gets 17 minutes
Jared Sullinger played 17 minutes against the Hornets on Friday with three points, two rebounds, two blocks and one 3-pointer.

Advice: That's an increase from his 14 minutes in his debut on Wednesday. The Raptors look to be viewing him as a backup center for now, but not having Lucas Noguiera is obviously a factor on that. Sullinger will likely have a minutes limit for a long time and his upside isn't great anyway, so he's not the most attractive add. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:37 pm
  • Montrezl Harrell will start against Warriors
Montezl Harrell will get the start against the Warriors on Friday night.

Advice: With Nene resting and Clint Capela limited to 11 minutes in the last game, Harrell should play a bunch. That said, the Rockets will likely be going small quite a bit in this game and Capela will get more than 11 minutes tonight. We still think Harrell is a very good bet for 24-plus minutes, which makes him a very intriguing target. He should remain owned in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:25 pm
  • Anthony Davis wearing right wrist tape
Anthony Davis was wearing right wrist wrap in warmups on Friday before the game against the Nets.

Advice: To be clear, he is fully expected to play without any restriction. Davis suffered a minor wrist injury on Wednesday, but he did return. He has recently suffered injuries to his left hip, right hip, right wrist, left fourth and fifth fingers, left thumb and tailbone in the last week. All that said, he could have a massive game today against the NBA's fastest team. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:16 pm
  • Bebe Nogueira, Pat Patterson out again
Patrick Patterson (knee) and Lucas Noguiera (concussion) will not play against the Hornets on Friday night.

Advice: We'll see if the Raptors are going to play Jared Sullinger a little more, but it's unlikely to be much more than his 14 minutes. Pascal Siakam should get some added run at power forward, but the Raptors could definitely go small a lot against a smaller four in Marvin Williams. Rotoworld.com Friday, 2:05 pm
  • Darrell Arthur listed as questionable
Darrell Arthur (left knee soreness) is listed as questionable to play against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: This is an upgrade from him being listed as doubtful to play on Thursday before the DNP. Arthur is likely out of the rotation anyway with Kenneth Faried playing well. Rotoworld.com Friday, 1:09 pm
  • Nikola Jokic (ankle) is probable
Nikola Jokic (ankle) is listed as probable for Saturday against the Clippers.

Advice: It's important to note that he is listed for an ankle, which was the same reason he was listed before Thursday's 35-point gem. Jokic had some knee to upper-leg contact and was in some pain for about two minutes, but he didn't miss time. He should be all set for another big game. Rotoworld.com Friday, 1:01 pm
  • Patrick Patterson (knee) doubtful for Friday
Patrick Patterson (knee) appears unlikely to play Friday vs. Charlotte.

Advice: Patterson has missed four straight games due to knee issues. Lucas Nogueira is also doubtful, leaving the Raps shorthanded in the frontcourt. Pascal Siakam will likely start. Jared Sullinger (foot) returned Wednesday and played 14 minutes. He should see around 15 minutes again on Friday. Norman Powell and Terrence Ross could also see additional minutes off the bench. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:35 am
  • Report: Jusuf Nurkic 'sure' to be traded
According to Marc Stein of ESPN, Jusuf Nurkic is "sure" to be traded prior to the February trade deadline.

Advice: Per Stein: "Sources say that the Nuggets, having acknowledged that Nikola Jokic and Nurkic didn't click as a pairing, are actively working to find Nurkic a new home that would give him the chance he deserves to be a front-line center." A trade is necessary to revive Nurkic's dying fantasy value. With Jokic playing at an incredibly high level, Nurk simply wastes away on the Denver bench. A trade would be best for all parties involved. It would also clear out more minutes for Kenneth Faried. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:04 am
  • Anthony Davis aiming to win All-Star MVP
Anthony Davis said that he will definitely do his best to take home MVP honors in the 2017 NBA All-Star Game, which will be played in New Orleans.

Advice: 'I'm definitely going after trying to get MVP, especially here in New Orleans. 'Coach Gentry told me every time I catch it, put it up. So I'm going to go out there and represent the city and try to walk away with that MVP for sure," said Davis. The Brow also talked about how he is becoming more comfortable playing center. ''I like playing the four, but right now with the team that we have and the way we are playing with small ball, it's helpful and I'm beneficial to the team at the five." Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:18 am
  • Tyson Chandler returned to action on Thursday January 19. Rotoworld.com Friday, 12:29 am
  • Trust The Jokic: Nikola scores career-high 35
Nikola Jokic erupted for a career-high 35 points during a 118-104 loss to the Spurs on Thursday, adding 12 rebounds, four assists and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He went bonkers in the fourth quarter, scoring 14 straight points for the Nuggets to keep them in this game. As you might expect, coach Mike Malone had some nice things to say after the game. "Whether it's playmaking, scoring, rebounding, he's a terrific young talent who's only getting better before our eyes," Malone said. Jokic became the first Nugget with three straight games of at least 25 points and 10 boards since Carmelo Anthony. In those three games, Jokic averaged 31.3 points, 12.7 boards, 3.3 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 treys on 61.9 percent from the field. He's been a top-five player in his last 10 games. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:41 pm
  • Jusuf Nurkic gets 14 minutes
Jusuf Nurkic scored five points with one rebound, one block and one turnover in 14 minutes against the Spurs on Thursday.

Advice: The Nuggets had some success with Nurkic next to Nikola Jokic last year and gave it a go briefly in this game. This was also likely due to Wilson Chandler (personal) not playing, so the needle doesn't move much on Nurk here. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:19 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside has quiet night vs. Mavs
Hassan Whiteside hit 6-of-12 shots for 13 points with eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in Thursday’s win against the Mavs.

Advice: Whiteside briefly left the game after rolling his ankle, but was able to return. He also took a hit to the throat, but was fine after a timeout. Clearly it was not his night. This was his sixth game this season with fewer than 10 rebounds and his fifth game without a block. He has scored in double figures in his five games since returning from his eye injury. The Heat face the Bucks on Saturday who are giving up 14.8 rebounds per game to opposing centers, so Whiteside should bounce back nicely. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:09 pm
  • Kristaps Porzingis looks good in his return
Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) returned from a four-game absence during a 113-110 loss to the Wizards on Thursday, playing 29 minutes with 15 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one turnover.

Advice: He looked healthy and played 17 minutes at center in this game, which is way more than he's been averaging. The Knicks were 5-0 without Joakim Noah (ankle) before this game, so there should be more of KP at the five going forward. Obviously his fantasy owners don't really care as long as his Achilles is healthy. The Knicks may be careful with their prized player, so his owners will need to be on the lookout for rest on back-to-backs sets. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:53 pm
  • Tristan Thompson dislocates finger, returns
Tristan Thompson played just 20 minutes against the Suns on Thursday with six rebounds, one assist and two blocks.

Advice: After dislocating his left index finger in the first half, Thompson started the second half with wrap around his finger. Channing Frye played an excellent game and the Cavs never really lost control, so that explains the low playing time. For now, we're expecting Thompson to be a full go on Saturday in the national game against the Spurs. Thompson has only turned in 13th-round value on the season, so he's not the best for fantasy. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:03 pm
  • Tyson Chandler scores season-high 22 points
Tyson Chandler scored a season-high 22 points against the Cavs during a 118-103 loss on Thursday, adding 16 rebounds, one assist and one block in 30 minutes.

Advice: He kept the Suns in this game and grabbed at least 15 boards for the sixth straight active game to tie the record for the longest streak in Suns history. After the game, coach Earl Watson called Chandler "big time" and said his consistency has been important for the Suns. Fantasy owners should just keep rolling him out there and he remains a huge bargain in DFS right now. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:52 pm
  • Tristan Thompson will start the second half
Tristan Thompson (finger) will start the second half on Thursday.

Advice: X-rays were negative and he should be all set. This game will likely be in garbage time in about 30 minutes. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 5:29 pm
  • Tristan Thompson likely to return to game
Tristan Thompson left Thursday's game in the first half and went straight to the locker room after dislocating his left index finger.

Advice: X-rays were negative and it sounds like he should return to play in the second half, according to the Cavs' broadcast team. He had four rebounds, two blocks and missed both of his shots before heading to the locker room. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 5:03 pm
  • Kristaps Porzingis coming off the bench
Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) is coming off the bench in his return to the lineup on Thursday.

Advice: The Knicks will stick with their winning lineup from Wednesday in Boston: Ron Baker, Derrick Rose, Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Kyle O'Quinn. The Knicks are fully expected to limit Porzingis in his return, but he should be in your season-long lineups. We'll see where he gets his minutes with plenty of talk about him playing more center. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 4:30 pm
  • Tyson Chandler back in the starting lineup
Tyson Chandler (illness) is back in the starting lineup against the Cavs on Thursday.

Advice: He said he's ready to go after getting a couple days off. Chandler has been cleaning up on the glass lately and is worth a look in season-long leagues. He is a solid DFS play with his cheap price, too. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 4:06 pm
  • Kristaps Porzingis available to play vs. WAS
An MRI of Kristaps Porzingis' left Achilles confirmed no structural damage and he will be available to play on Thursday against the Wizards.

Advice: This is wonderful news on the future of the franchise. Porzingis has missed the last four games and he also missed three games from Dec. 31 to Jan. 4 for the same reason, so the Knicks will likely be careful on him tonight. Additionally, there is a lot of talk of Porzingis playing more at the five, so that will be something to watch for tonight. Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Willy Hernangomez take some hits here. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 2:59 pm
  • Tyson Chandler in a better place mentally
Tyson Chandler said his improved play lately has been because he's in a better place mentally.

Advice: "You got to want to be out there," Chandler said. "You got to give yourself something to compete for. I feel healthy now, my mind is clear and so that’s why you see the product of it." In case you missed it, he said he will play tonight after a couple days off. He's played well enough to be picked up in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:51 am
  • Nikola Jokic (ankle) will play on Thursday
Nikola Jokic (right ankle sprain) will play on Thursday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: He was listed as probable and his status was never really in doubt for tonight's game. Make sure the fantasy superstar is deployed in all lineups, even in a tough matchup vs. the Spurs -- Jokic had 19 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and a steal in their previous meeting on Jan. 5. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:38 am
  • Darrell Arthur (knee) ruled out for Thursday
Darrell Arthur (knee) will not play on Thursday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Of course he won't. Arthur can't stay healthy and the Nuggets are going to limit his workload whenever they can. With Wilson Chandler (personal) out and Danilo Gallinari (ankle) questionable, we should see a lot of Kenneth Faried tonight and may even get a Jusuf Nurkic sighting. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:19 am
  • Kristaps Porzingis hopes to play on Saturday
Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) said he's "90 percent ready" and he is hopeful to play on Saturday vs. the Suns.

Advice: He hasn't been officially ruled out for Thursday's game vs. the Wizards, but it sure sounds like he's not planning to play. Porzingis is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Thursday morning, so his plans for Saturday could change too based on the results. "Still not there yet," Porzingis said. "I have to be really careful of how much I do and how explosive the movements are. If not I get a little pinch again in the heel down there where the Achilles starts." We should have an update this afternoon, but Mindaugas Kusminskas looks like a nice short-term pickup and he's coming off a 17-point effort on Wednesday. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:25 am
  • Jared Sullinger returned to action on Wednesday January 18. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 1:30 am
  • Myles Turner scores 16 points vs. Kings
Myles Turner made 7-of-9 from the field for 16 points with five rebounds, one block and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes against the Kings on Wednesday.

Advice: While he didn't do much damage on the glass and only had one block, Turner was really good against DeMarcus Cousins on the defensive end. Turner had seen a sudden spike on the glass this month, averaging 10.3 boards per game in his previous January games -- he only had 6.5 in December. Turner has held steady as a second-round player in standard leagues this season. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:59 pm
  • Anthony Davis (hip, thumb, hand) escapes Wed
Anthony Davis (hip, thumb) played 29 minutes on Wednesday, finishing with 21 points (9-of-17 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 14 rebounds, four assists and one block.

Advice: AD survived yet another injury scare tonight when he left to get X-rays on his left hand, but he quickly returned while wearing a splint on two fingers. He seems to be perpetually banged up, yet he's only missed three games this season. The risk of a shutdown is limited by the fact that New Orleans is just 1.5 games out of the playoff picture, and thus far Davis has paid off richly for his risk-taking owners. As a precaution, we'll add him to the injury report ahead of Friday's home game vs. Brooklyn. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:00 pm
  • Montrezl Harrell scores 12 with five blocks
Montrezl Harrell got the start against the Bucks on Wednesday, blocking a career-high five shots with 12 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two turnovers in 27 minutes.

Advice: He's been awesome and the Rockets have a good problem with both Harrell and Clint Capela outperforming their expectations. For what it's worth, the other four starters with Harrell have a +1.7 net rating in 161 minutes while that foursome and Capela is +14.8, so it does make sense to move Harrell to the bench once Capela is 100 percent. Whatever the case, both players could still have value with 20-24 minutes. Obviously they would need Nene to fall out of the rotation, which could happen. Harrell is a hold for now. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:39 pm
  • Clint Capela scores just five off bench
Clint Capela came off the bench against the Bucks on Wednesday with five points, three rebounds and two blocks in 11 minutes.

Advice: He still has a minutes limit and it may stick around. The good news is Capela came in for garbage time, so maybe the plan all along was to have him close out for this game. While he hasn't done much yet, he has to be owned in all standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:32 pm
  • Jared Sullinger plays 14 minutes in debut
Jared Sullinger (foot) looked good during his season debut on Wednesday, making 4-of-10 shots to finish with eight points, three rebounds, and no other stats in 14 minutes.

Advice: The Raptors are going to be very cautious with Sullinger, as they were with DeMarre Carroll, and he'll be subject to limited minutes and occasional DNP-CDs until further notice. He should play both PF and backup C once he's up to speed, but most owners shouldn't stash him just yet. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:20 pm
  • Anthony Davis returns to action vs. Magic
Anthony Davis (left thumb, left hand sprain, right hip) returned to action on Wednesday.

Advice: X-rays were negative on his left hand and he should be OK. Hopefully, he can stay healthy for the rest of the game tonight. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 5:57 pm
  • Kristaps Porzingis set to undergo an MRI
Kristaps Porzingis is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his sore left Achilles on Thursday.

Advice: "He’s fine if he’s shooting a jump shot or something, but when he really pushes off hard to drive the ball he’s feeling a little pinch in the heel," said head coach Jeff Hornacek. "They’re giving him treatment and trying to get rid of that but I think that’s the last step and then he can play." Porzingis will miss his fourth consecutive game on Wednesday, but we should get a better idea on his potential return date once the MRI results are released. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:02 pm
  • Confirmed: Anthony Davis will play Wednesday
Anthony Davis (right hip, left thumb) will play Wednesday vs. the Magic, as expected.

Advice: Davis looked fine while going through his pregame routine, and there's been no discussion of a minutes restriction, so his owners can feel free to fire him up. Alvin Gentry may have had the quote of the year during his pregame interview, stating, "AD will play hurt. He's played hurt since the day he got here." Yup. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:40 pm
  • Clint Capela will come off the bench vs. MIL
Clint Capela will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Bucks.

Advice: Capela started in his return from a 15-game absence on Tuesday, but only lasted nine minutes, so it doesn't make much sense to start him while he's dealing with a minutes limit. Capela does have some nice upside, but it'll probably take him at least a week before he's really up to speed. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:33 pm
  • Harrell starting, Clint Capela to the bench
Montrezl Harrell will move into the starting lineup for Wednesday's game, sending Clint Capela to the bench.

Advice: Capela is being eased back into things after a lengthy layoff, so it doesn't make sense to have him start if he's only going to play around 10 minutes or so. Harrell will likely split minutes at the five-spot with Capela and Nene, so he's not a very attractive option in most formats despite the starter tag. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:25 pm
  • Patrick Patterson (knee) will not play at PHI
Patrick Patterson (knee) will not play against the 76ers on Wednesday.

Advice: His knee injury has kept him to just two games in 2017. Luckily for the Raptors, they have Jared Sullinger (foot) back for limited minutes -- he's likely only going to play 10-15 minutes tonight. The Raptors will also likely go smaller tonight while Pascal Siakam could play 20 minutes. None of these guys mentioned are worth using in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:17 pm
  • Jared Sullinger will make season debut in PHI
Jared Sullinger (foot) will make his season debut and play limited minutes against the 76ers on Wednesday.

Advice: Wow. This comes as a surprise after Sullinger was cleared for practice on Jan. 13. He's coming off a foot surgery and chances are his conditioning isn't 100 percent yet. Sullinger will likely have a minutes limit for the foreseeable future, so he's only worth a pickup in deeper leagues right now. His upside isn't the greatest. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:09 pm
  • Jokic, Gallinari probable Thursday vs. SA
Nikola Jokic (right ankle sprain) and Danilo Gallinari (right ankle sprain) are probable to play Thursday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: When they're listed as probable in Denver, that means that they'll get out there, so owners can feel confident plugging these guys in their lineups on Thursday. Jokic has been putting up top-3 numbers in 9-cat leagues over the past two weeks, so he's obviously a must-start guy every time he's active. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 2:04 pm
  • Darrell Arthur is doubtful to play
Darrell Arthur (knee) is doubtful to play against the Spurs on Thursday.

Advice: He did not play on Tuesday due to his oft-injured knee. With Wilson Chandler (personal) listed as out, there could be plenty of minutes going to Kenneth Faried and even Juan Hernangomez. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 2:03 pm
  • Robin Lopez working on 3-pointers?
Robin Lopez said he's been working on his 3-pointers and it's not "game ready" yet.

Advice: If Brook [Lopez] can do it, I definitely can," Lopez said. Robin has yet to make a 3-pointer in his entire NBA career with just five attempts. He's actually been very good on his shots from beyond 20 feet this season, making 55.0 percent of his 20 attempts. Lopez has only turned in 12th-round value on the season, so he's only a borderline hold. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:58 am
  • Tyson Chandler should be ready for Thursday
Tyson Chandler (illness) is expected to play against the Cavs on Thursday.

Advice: He missed Monday's game against the Jazz because of a stomach bug. Chandler has been extremely busy this month, averaging 8.7 points, 15.5 boards, 0.7 blocks and 0.3 steals in 30.7 minutes per game. He's worth owning in standard leagues while Alex Len should still have value off the bench. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:35 am
  • Anthony Davis (hip, thumb) says he'll play
Anthony Davis (right hip, left thumb) said that he will play Wednesday vs. Orlando.

Advice: Davis really likes going up against the Magic, in eight career outings against Orlando he owns impressive averages of 18.8 points, 13.4 boards, 1.4 dimes, 1.4 steals and a whopping 4.1 swats per contest, so he's on the radar as a potential DFS target. Just check back for official confirmation on his status closer to tip-off. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:12 am
  • Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) out Wednesday
Updating a previous report, Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) will not play Wednesday vs. the Celtics.

Advice: He's still dealing with soreness in his left Achilles, so the Knicks will continue to take an extremely cautious approach with their franchise big man. Joakim Noah (ankle) did not participate during shootaround and is looking doubtful, so we could see a lot of Kyle O'Quinn and Willy Hernangomez operating at the five-spot today, with Mindaugas Kusminskas earning another start at the four sans Porzingis. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:35 am
  • Porzingis, Noah questionable for Wednesday
Kristaps Porzingis (sore left Achilles) and Joakim Noah (sore left ankle) are questionable to play Wednesday vs. Boston.

Advice: Jeff Hornacek hinted on Tuesday that he was considering starting Porzingis at center for Wednesday's game, so it could be easier to justify making that move if Noah is forced to the sidelines today. Noah wasn't able to go through shootaround, so he seems a bit closer to doubtful, while Porzingis did participate. We likely won't get another update until Porzingis goes through his pregame routine, but if both guys are out, Kyle O'Quinn could draw the start at center. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:03 am
  • Nikola Jokic racks up 29 points, 15 rebounds
Nikola Jokic stayed red hot on Tuesday, racking up 29 points, 15 rebounds, three blocks and a 3-pointer on 12-of-22 shooting in a 127-121 win over the Lakers.

Advice: The Lakers are pretty bad against opposing bigs and Jokic took advantage tonight. He's absolutely crushing right now, scoring 29 and 30 points in each of his last two games, and averaging 25 points, 11.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 3-pointers over his last five games, while shooting a ridiculous 65 percent from the floor and 76 percent from the line. He might be the most underrated fantasy player in the land right now. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:59 pm
  • Robin Lopez has best game as Bull Tuesday
Robin Lopez scored a season-high 21 points to go along with five rebounds and a block on 10-of-15 shooting in Tuesday's 99-98 loss to the Mavericks.

Advice: Ro-Lo has been pretty quiet this season with the Bulls, but broke out of a funk tonight. Some more rebounds and blocks would have been nice, but owners will take this one. It probably helped that he was facing a Mavs' team starting ancient forward Dirk Nowitzki at center, so we'll have to see if Ro-Lo can do it again on Friday against Dwight Howard and the Hawks, which will be a tougher test. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:59 pm
  • Montrezl Harrell plays 16 minutes on Tuesday
Montrezl Harrell played just 16 minutes and hit 5-of-6 shots for 13 points, one rebound and no blocks on Tuesday.

Advice: Clint Capela started, but played just nine minutes, while Harrell and Nene handled the center minutes off the bench. Nene had four points and seven rebounds in 24 minutes, but both players are going to take a hit once Capela gets his body back in NBA shape after missing 15 games with a broken leg. If you are ready to drop Harrell, it makes sense. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:08 pm
  • Clint Capela fails to score in return
Clint Capela played for the first time in 15 games after a broken leg and started on Tuesday, but missed all three of his shots and didn't score in just nine minutes of action.

Advice: The good news is that he's back and the bad news is that it will be baby steps for Capela as he works his way back into game shape. He's worth holding, but it may be a week or so before we see him return to form. He did have five rebounds and a block, for what it's worth. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:03 pm
  • Patrick Patterson (knee) out Tuesday vs. BKN
Patrick Patterson (sore left knee) will not play Tuesday vs. the Nets.

Advice: This will be his third straight game on the sidelines, and his absence essentially ensures that Lucas Nogueira will get another start at the four-spot. Nogueira is worth owning as a shot blocking specialist in most leagues, while Patterson isn't worth a roster spot almost anywhere. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 3:50 pm
  • Kristaps Porzingis could return Wednesday
Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) could get back to the court for Wednesday's game against the Celtics.

Advice: Head coach Jeff Hornacek also hinted that he'd like to start Porzingis at center with Carmelo Anthony moving to the four-spot, a move that would result in Joakim Noah going to the bench, and that demotion likely wouldn't go over very well with the underperforming 31-year-old center who is due $17 million this season. The losses in New York have been piling up as of late, so Hornacek needs to make some changes, even if it upsets the veterans. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 12:15 pm
  • Darrell Arthur (knee) will not play Tuesday
Darrell Arthur (knee) will not play Tuesday vs. the Lakers.

Advice: This will be the third consecutive game Arthur has missed due to his latest knee pain. Kenneth Faried started and played a season-high 33 minutes on Monday. The Manimal will likely see extra minutes on Tuesday as well due to Arthur's absence. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:54 am
  • HOU's backup center will be based on matchups
Clint Capela (knee) will start for Houston going forward, but his backup will likely be based on matchups most nights, according to coach Mike D'Antoni.

Advice: "Maybe the first guy off the bench will be a matchup consideration. Or if bulky centers give Clint a problem, I'll substitute early and get Nene in there. Or if we need energy today, maybe here comes Montrezl," said coach D'Antoni. Harrell averaged 14.6 points (on 68.3 percent shooting) and 4.9 rebounds in 27.4 minutes over the 14 games Capela missed due to his knee injury, but will obviously see a big hit to his playing time and production serving solely as a reserve. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:25 am
  • Clint Capela (knee) will start Tuesday night
Clint Capela (knee) will return to the starting lineup Tuesday night in Miami, but will "probably" play fewer than 20 minutes.

Advice: Capela will return after missing 15 games. Coach Mike D'Antoni indicated that there will not be a minutes cap in place, but did say: "His condition being what it is, we'll keep him under 20 minutes, probably." Capela was averaging 24.5 minutes per game over Houston's first 28 games this season. Montrezl Harrell had played relatively well in Capela absence, but will now get bumped back to the bench. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:28 am
  • Clint Capela (knee) expected to play Tuesday
Clint Capela (knee) is expected to make his return to the lineup on Tuesday vs. Miami.

Advice: "I've been doing pretty good in the workouts by myself, sprinting, dunking. It all felt good," Capela said. He had been playing the best basketball of his career prior to the injury, which was initially projected to cost him 4-6 weeks. He is averaging 11.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks - all career-highs. Make sure he is not floating around your league's waiver wire, as he was returning mid-round value over the first two months of the season. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:00 am
  • Jokic leads offensive revival in Denver
The Nuggets have been one of the NBA's most efficient and effective offenses since sticking with Nikola Jokic as the team's starting center.

Advice: Over the last month, the Nuggets are top-10 in the league in field goals made, field goal accuracy, 3-point accuracy, 3-point field goals made. Jokic has been the centerpiece of the offense, and the engine driving them forward. Over his last 14 games, Jokic is averaging 19.2 points, 9.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists. He's been top-15 overall fantasy producer over this stretch. The sky is the limit for this kid over the second half of the season Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:31 am
  • Darrell Arthur (knee): Tuesday status unknown
The availability of Darrell Arthur (knee) for Tuesday’s game at the L.A. Lakers is unknown.

Advice: Arthur missed his second consecutive game due to left knee soreness on Monday. He has missed a total of 10 games this season as a result of knee issues. "He only knows one speed," coach Mike Malone said. "When we (practice) hard he goes hardest. And his knee has a hard time withstanding that pounding. So I almost have to try to protect him from himself at times." Kenneth Faried played a season-high 33 minutes on Monday and would get a boost on Tuesday if Arthur is out. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:09 am
  • Marreese Speights scores 23 w/ 10 boards
Marreese Speights scored a season-high 23 points with 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 27 minutes in Monday's 120-98 win over the Thunder.

Advice: He scored 10 of his points in garbage time during the fourth quarter, but Speights was on fire all night, hitting 8-of-15 shots from the field and 4-of-4 from the line. Speights is a per-minute monster, but the problem is that he's only eclipsed the 20-minute mark one time in January (tonight). With Blake Griffin (knee) nearing a return, it's tough to get excited about this. We'll let you know if his role grows. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:24 pm
  • Tyson Chandler (flu) out, Alex Len to start
Tyson Chandler is battling a stomach flu and will not play on Monday vs. the Jazz.

Advice: There have been a lot of players out with an illness around the league and Chandler is the latest victim. Let's just hope this doesn't spread to his teammates. Chandler will get a couple days off to rest for Thursday's game vs. Cleveland. Alex Len will start and looks like a nice short-term pickup. Alan Williams could back up Len unless the Suns go small with Marquese Chriss at the five. Rotoworld.com Monday, 5:04 pm
  • Nikola Jokic pours in career-high 30 points
Nikola Jokic was unstoppable in the Nuggets blowout victory over Orlando Monday night, scoring a career-high 30 points to go along with 11 rebounds, five assists, three steals and a 3-pointer.

Advice: Jokic joins Carmelo Anthony as just the second Nugget to tally at least 30 points, 10 boards, five assists and three steals in a single game over the last 25 years. However, this performance isn't a complete surprise because, despite playing through a nagging wrist injury that may require offseason surgery, Jokic has been an absolute beast of late. He is now averaging 21.6 points, 9.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists over the Nuggets last seven games. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:32 pm
  • Myles Turner scores 18 w/ four blocks
Myles Turner scored 18 points with 12 rebounds, four blocks and one assist in Monday's win over the Pelicans.

Advice: Turner held his own against Anthony Davis and turned in one of the best lines of the night so far, but he did shoot just 7-of-17 from the field and 3-of-6 from the line. Turner was shooting 80.9 percent from the line prior to Monday, so cut him some slack this time around. This was Turner's third game of the season with 18+ points, 12+ rebounds and 4+ blocks, second to only Anthony Davis (6) and Hassan Whiteside (5). Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:26 pm
  • Clint Capela (knee) feeling good in workouts
Clint Capela (knee) said that he's been sprinting and dunking during recent workouts, and it all felt good.

Advice: Capela has been out of commission since Dec. 17, but he could return to the court for Tuesday's game against the Heat. The Rockets will make an official determination on his status following Tuesday morning's shootaround, but he's close enough to a return that he should be stashed in most leagues. He'll likely be eased back into things after the lengthy layoff, but once he's fully up to speed, Montrezl Harrell will lose most of his value. Rotoworld.com Monday, 3:42 pm
  • Robin Lopez logs 37 minutes vs. Grizzlies
Robin Lopez had another strong game on Sunday with 12 points, seven boards, two assists and three blocks in 37 minutes.

Advice: Lopez helped his team earn a tough 108-104 win in Memphis. The Bulls scored a season-low 14 points in the first quarter tonight, but they recovered with a season-high 38 points in the second quarter. The Jekyll and Hyde performance didn't continue in the second half, during which they scored 56 points, and the Bulls' win leaves them just ahead of Charlotte for the No. 8 seed. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 9:05 pm
  • Montrezl Harrell gets 16 & 7 in start Sunday
Montrezl Harrell logged 34 minutes as a starter on Sunday, making 6-of-9 FGs and 4-of-6 FTs to finish with 16 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks.

Advice: The bad news is that Clint Capela is nearing a return from his fractured fibula, and could play as soon as Tuesday's road game in Miami. Harrell has carved out a reliable spot in the rotation, but he's averaging just 16.2 minutes off the bench, as opposed to 26.6 minutes as a starter. The clock is ticking, though he's worth owning until we see how the rotation shakes out with Capela active. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 6:05 pm
  • Nikola Jokic still dealing w/ left wrist pain
Nikola Jokic still doesn't have full range of motion in his left wrist, he continues to play through pain, and it's possible that he will need surgery after the season.

Advice: Jokic shed his wrist brace for Thursday's game and plans to play without it again on Monday, and the good news is that there's no suggestion of more DNPs. "I cannot go to push-up position," Jokic said. "[Doctors] said they could [perform surgery], but it wasn’t 100 percent that it would feel better." This isn't a comforting update for Jokic's owners, but he's been on fire lately and all signs point to him playing through his discomfort for the rest of the season. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 3:17 pm
  • Darrell Arthur (knee) out Monday vs. Magic
Darrell Arthur (knee) will not suit up for Monday's game against the Magic.

Advice: It's always something with this guy, and Monday will mark his second straight game on the sidelines. Kenneth Faried and Jusuf Nurkic will likely split his limited minutes, which doesn't mean all that much. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 11:48 am
  • Patrick Patterson (knee) won't play Sunday
Patrick Patterson (sore left knee) will not play Sunday vs. the Knicks.

Advice: He will miss his second game in a row, but the Raptors are likely being cautious based on coach Dwane Casey's comments earlier in the week. With Patterson out, the Raptors are going to roll with Lucas Nogueira at the four, but that might not be ideal if the Knicks start Lance Thomas in place of Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles). Nogueira had 10 points, nine rebounds, four blocks and two assists in his last start. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 10:57 am
  • Clint Capela (leg) could return on Tuesday
Clint Capela (leg) could return on Tuesday vs. the Heat or Wednesday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: He has missed about one month of action, but the big man is scheduled to go through practice on Monday. It's fair to assume that Capela will have restrictions right out of the gate, but he shouldn't be sitting on your waiver wire with season averages of 11.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks. Montrezl Harrell is now a drop candidate in most leagues, while Nene loses a lot of value as well. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 8:11 am
  • Jared Sullinger won't set a return date
Jared Sullinger (foot) said he won't set a return date despite being cleared for practice.

Advice: "My main focus is just trying to get my legs back under me," Sullinger said. "I feel like everybody else is in tip-top shape and I’m just lagging. I can’t keep up with [Jakob Poeltl] off the dribble, so, I got a lot of work to do." He added that he has "no lungs" right now, so it's going to take him a while to get into shape. Sully is going to be limited right out of the gate, so he's more of a stash in deeper leagues for now. He will eventually be the starting power forward. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 7:19 am
  • Tyson Chandler scores eight with 15 boards
Tyson Chandler scored eight points with 15 rebounds, one assist, one steal and two turnovers in 31 minutes against the Spurs on Saturday.

Advice: That's five straight games with at least 15 boards, which is the longest streak since at least 1983-84. Chandler is clearly going to get minutes because his coach loves him as the backbone of their defense, so he's worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 7:12 pm
  • Robin Lopez scores six points with 10 boards
Robin Lopez played 27 minutes with six points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocks against the Pelicans on Saturday.

Advice: The Bulls absolutely dominated on the glass. Lopez had nine of the 21 offensive boards and the Bulls had a 21-board advantage overall. We've seen Ro-Lo lose some late minutes to Cris Felicio and that happened again, but this was a very encouraging game. He gets another great matchup for minutes against the Grizzles on Sunday. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 5:38 pm
  • Patrick Patterson (knee) questionable for Sun
Patrick Patterson (sore left knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Knicks.

Advice: Patterson returned to play two games earlier this week but was then forced to sit out Friday night, although coach Dwane Casey said that it is more of a precaution. Lucas Nogueira started in place of Patterson on Friday, finishing with 10 points and nine rebounds in 30 minutes. Pascal Siakam or Norman Powell could also see increased minutes, based on matchups, if Patterson misses more time. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 10:16 am
  • Hassan Whiteside scores 19 vs. Bucks
Hassan Whiteside scored 19 points vs. the Bucks on Friday with nine rebounds, two assists and one steal in 31 minutes.

Advice: This was just his fifth game of the season with less than 10 rebounds and his fourth without a block, but that's a testament to his consistency. He finished 7-of-12 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line, but unfortunately this was the second and final game for the Heat in Week 12. The Heat will now return home from a six-game road trip and will face the Rockets on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 7:43 pm
  • Patrick Patterson (knee) will not play Friday
Patrick Patterson (knee) will not play Friday against the Nets.

Advice: Coach Dwane Casey said that it is more of a precaution. He didn't exactly look right with 21 minutes and going scoreless on Tuesday. Against Trevor Booker at the four, the Raptors could be looking at Lucas Nogueira as the starter. They could also go with more small-ball lineups against the fastest team in the NBA. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 2:52 pm
  • Jared Sullinger cleared for practice
Jared Sullinger (foot) has been cleared for practice.

Advice: This is a huge step in his recovery. Sullinger is starting to get shots up and now it looks like he can take on more contact. The Raptors have essentially jettisoned Pascal Siakam in the rotation, so the starting spot is Sullinger's to lose once he can play in games. That said, there won't be much usage available for him, he doesn't block shots and his minutes will be managed for a long time, so he's only a pickup in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 12:09 pm
  • Tyson Chandler grabs 19 boards vs. Mavs
Tyson Chandler scored 14 points with 19 rebounds and one block in Thursday’s 108-133 loss to the Mavericks.

Advice: Chandler is now tied with Shawn Marion for the longest streak by a Sun with 15+ boards in four straight games. He also set the records for rebounds in a regular-season game in Mexico. He is averaging 18 rebounds in his last four games and has a double-double in consecutive games. Chandler be can considered a strong value DFS play so long as his price remains cheap. Rotoworld.com Jan 12, 9:51 pm
  • Jusuf Nurkic plays just eight minutes
Jusuf Nurkic scored three points with two rebounds and one block in eight minutes against the Pacers on Thursday.

Advice: He played two-plus minutes in the first quarter and just under five-plus minutes in the second quarter. Kenneth Faried had it going as the five man and Nikola Jokic was terrific, so there wasn't an opportunity for Nurkic today. He's going to be inconsistent and is more of a stash with an uncertain role on the Nuggets. Rotoworld.com Jan 12, 2:28 pm
  • Patrick Patterson (knee) misses practice
Patrick Patterson (knee) did not practice on Thursday.

Advice: He still has minute restrictions, so this was likely a rest day. Patterson moved into the starting lineup on Tuesday vs. Boston, but failed to score in 21 minutes. Standard-league owners can do better and Patterson's outlook isn't great due to the eventual return of Jared Sullinger (foot). Rotoworld.com Jan 12, 10:28 am
  • Clint Capela (leg) says he feels good
Clint Capela (leg) said he's feeling good and he remains on pace to return in the next week or two.

Advice: "My legs feel good. My quickness, I can run, stuff like that," Capela said. "Right now, I just take it day-after-day working out. I'm on schedule for four-to-six weeks (original timetable), like they said before. My workout is getting better, really better." As long as you're OK with his 44.6 percent shooting from the free throw line, Capela is worth stashing after averaging 11.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks before going down. Montrezl Harrell will lose most of his value when Capela is cleared. Rotoworld.com Jan 12, 6:48 am
  • Marreese Speights scores 13 efficient points
Marreese Speights scored 13 efficient points off the bench on Wednesday, hitting 5-of-6 shots with three 3-pointers, three rebounds and one assist in a home win vs. the Magic.

Advice: Speights has made at least one three-pointer in 14 straight games, the longest streak of his career. He's managed to carve out late-round value in Blake Griffin's absence despite playing just 16.9 minutes over the past month. During that time he's established a nice rapport with Chris Paul -- coming into this game, Speights had a 72.7 effective FG percentage off passes from CP3. That said, he's an atypical fantasy big man whose primary virtues have been 3-pointers and FT%. Rotoworld.com Jan 11, 11:25 pm
  • Montrezl Harrell starts, logs 20 minutes
Montrezl Harrell earned another start vs. the Wolves on Wednesday, chipping in nine points (2-of-4 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), five boards, two assists and one steal in 20 minutes.

Advice: Since Clint Capela's first DNP on Dec. 20, Harrell has averaged 14.8 points on 69.5 percent shooting, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 blocks and 0.4 steals. The limited minutes tonight were due to foul trouble and he's worth deploying for now, despite the constant threat from Nene (nine points in 15 minutes). Just keep in mind that Capela is progressing well and could return in late January. Rotoworld.com Jan 11, 9:01 pm
