  • Darrell Arthur (knee) will not play Tuesday
Darrell Arthur (knee) will not play Tuesday vs. the Lakers.

Advice: This will be the third consecutive game Arthur has missed due to his latest knee pain. Kenneth Faried started and played a season-high 33 minutes on Monday. The Manimal will likely see extra minutes on Tuesday as well due to Arthur's absence. Rotoworld.com 33 minutes ago
  • Noel (ankle) expects to play Wednesday
Nerlens Noel (ankle) said he expects to play Wednesday vs. the Raptors.

Advice: "It's still a little sore, but I definitely should be able to go [Wednesday]," said Noel after practice on Tuesday. Noel had been playing well prior to injuring his ankle on Saturday, which forced him to sit out Monday's game. If Noel is available, coach Brett Brown will have a tough decision to make. Does he send Jahlil Okafor back to the bench to collect DNP-CD's, or limit Noel's minutes as the sole center on the second unit? Stay tuned... Rotoworld.com 38 minutes ago
  • Embiid to remain on 28-min limit all season
The Sixers expect Joel Embiid to remain on a 28-minute limit all season, according to coach Brett Brown.

Advice: When asked if there was a possibility that the team would increase Embiid's minute cap or remove the limit altogether, Brown said: "I don't believe there is." Fantasy owners would obviously love to see The Process play more, but they obviously can't complain about the results thus far. The Sixers are wisely playing it safe with their franchise cornerstone, who has been consistently spectacular all season long. Rotoworld.com 44 minutes ago
  • Joel Embiid (rest) probable for Wednesday
Joel Embiid (rest) did not practice on Wednesday but is listed as probable for Wednesday's game vs. the Hawks.

Advice: Embiid is coming off yet another monster game on Monday, finishing with 22 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and five blocks. He has now scored at least 20 points in nine straight games, tying the NBA's all-time record for longest streak with at least 20 points while playing fewer than 30 minutes in each contest. As always, Trust The Process. Rotoworld.com 57 minutes ago
  • Jon Leuer (knee) practices on Tuesday
Jon Leuer (bruised knee) practiced with the team on Tuesday.

Advice: Leuer has missed each of the Pistons last four games, but is obviously close to a return. He is expected to be listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Atlanta. With Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) sidelined, Leuer may be in line to see additional minutes if he plays and is healthy enough to handle them when he returns. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:06 am
    Injured

  • Andre Drummond (knee) misses practice Tuesday
Andre Drummond (knee sprain) did not practice with the team on Tuesday, but reportedly "will be fine."

Advice: Drummond sprained his knee on Sunday, which caused him to leave the game for a brief period. However, he did return, finishing with 15 points and 17 rebounds in 32 minutes. It sounds like the absence from Tuesday's practice is purely precautionary, as Pistons beat writer Rod Beard tweeted that Drummond is "fine." Thus, we expect Drummond to suit up Wednesday vs. the Hawks. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:05 am
  • Gorgui Dieng (illness) back at practice Tues
After missing Monday's practice, Gorgui Dieng (illness) was back on practice on Tuesday.

Advice: Dieng is expected to be ready to roll on Tuesday night when the Wolves play the Spurs. Dieng is coming off one of his best games of the season, when he lit up the Mavs for a season high-21 points on 10-of-12 shooting and eight rebounds on Sunday. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:57 am
  • Nets assign Chris McCullough to D-League
Chris McCullough has been assigned to the D-League.

Advice: McCullough is not a part of the Nets rotation and has no fantasy relevance. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:46 am
  • HOU's backup center will be based on matchups
Clint Capela (knee) will start for Houston going forward, but his backup will likely be based on matchups most nights, according to coach Mike D'Antoni.

Advice: "Maybe the first guy off the bench will be a matchup consideration. Or if bulky centers give Clint a problem, I'll substitute early and get Nene in there. Or if we need energy today, maybe here comes Montrezl," said coach D'Antoni. Harrell averaged 14.6 points (on 68.3 percent shooting) and 4.9 rebounds in 27.4 minutes over the 14 games Capela missed due to his knee injury, but will obviously see a big hit to his playing time and production serving solely as a reserve. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:25 am
  • Nikola Mirotic (illness) will play Tuesday
Nikola Mirotic (illness) will play Tuesday vs. the Mavs.

Advice: Mirotic, who has missed four straight games due to strep throat, has been a disappointment this season, averaging career-lows in points (9.5), assists (0.8), field goal percentage (.387), 3-point percentage (.312) and free-throw percentage (.758). Hopefully, he can bounce back in the second half of the season to salvage his 2016-17 campaign. Mirotic's return will cut into Doug McDermott's minutes and likely knock Bobby Portis out of the rotation. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:11 am
  • Willie Reed (sternum) will play Tuesday
Willie Reed (bruised sternum) is available to play Tuesday vs. the Rockets.

Advice: Outside of the four games Reed started when Hassan Whiteside was sidelined, Reed is averaging 11.9 minutes as a reserve in the 28 games he has played off the Miami bench this season. Reed's return could cut into James Johnson's minutes, as Miami wouldn't need JJ to backup Whiteside. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:50 am
  • Ryan Anderson (illness) doubtful for Tuesday
Ryan Anderson (illness) is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game vs. the Heat.

Advice: After playing at least 32 minutes in each of the Rockets first seven games in January, Anderson's minutes have dipped a bit of late. He played just 25 minutes last Friday and then 23 on Sunday. As it turns out, it is because he has been fighting the flu for the last few days. If Anderson is unable to play on Tuesday, Corey Brewer, Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell and Trevor Ariza would likely divvy up his playing time. Clint Capela is also slated to return on Tuesday, so that will help fill the frontcourt void left by Anderson. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:40 am
  • Clint Capela (knee) will start Tuesday night
Clint Capela (knee) will return to the starting lineup Tuesday night in Miami, but will "probably" play fewer than 20 minutes.

Advice: Capela will return after missing 15 games. Coach Mike D'Antoni indicated that there will not be a minutes cap in place, but did say: "His condition being what it is, we'll keep him under 20 minutes, probably." Capela was averaging 24.5 minutes per game over Houston's first 28 games this season. Montrezl Harrell had played relatively well in Capela absence, but will now get bumped back to the bench. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:28 am
  • Clint Capela (knee) expected to play Tuesday
Clint Capela (knee) is expected to make his return to the lineup on Tuesday vs. Miami.

Advice: "I've been doing pretty good in the workouts by myself, sprinting, dunking. It all felt good," Capela said. He had been playing the best basketball of his career prior to the injury, which was initially projected to cost him 4-6 weeks. He is averaging 11.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks - all career-highs. Make sure he is not floating around your league's waiver wire, as he was returning mid-round value over the first two months of the season. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:00 am
  • Jokic leads offensive revival in Denver
The Nuggets have been one of the NBA's most efficient and effective offenses since sticking with Nikola Jokic as the team's starting center.

Advice: Over the last month, the Nuggets are top-10 in the league in field goals made, field goal accuracy, 3-point accuracy, 3-point field goals made. Jokic has been the centerpiece of the offense, and the engine driving them forward. Over his last 14 games, Jokic is averaging 19.2 points, 9.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists. He's been top-15 overall fantasy producer over this stretch. The sky is the limit for this kid over the second half of the season Rotoworld.com Today, 7:31 am
  • Darrell Arthur (knee): Tuesday status unknown
The availability of Darrell Arthur (knee) for Tuesday’s game at the L.A. Lakers is unknown.

Advice: Arthur missed his second consecutive game due to left knee soreness on Monday. He has missed a total of 10 games this season as a result of knee issues. "He only knows one speed," coach Mike Malone said. "When we (practice) hard he goes hardest. And his knee has a hard time withstanding that pounding. So I almost have to try to protect him from himself at times." Kenneth Faried played a season-high 33 minutes on Monday and would get a boost on Tuesday if Arthur is out. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:09 am
  • Joel Embiid returned to action on Monday January 16. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:41 am
  • Ed Davis returned to action on Monday January 16. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:41 am
  • Jerami Grant blocks three shots in start
Jerami Grant started in place of Steven Adams (concussion) against the Clippers on Monday and scored nine points on 3-of-4 shooting.

Advice: Grant logged a team-high 34 minutes and added eight rebounds, one assist, three triples and three blocks, but the Thunder only play one more time this week against the Warriors on Wednesday. Unless you're looking to stream some blocks in that contest, it's best to leave Grant on the wire in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:38 pm
  • Marreese Speights scores 23 w/ 10 boards
Marreese Speights scored a season-high 23 points with 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 27 minutes in Monday's 120-98 win over the Thunder.

Advice: He scored 10 of his points in garbage time during the fourth quarter, but Speights was on fire all night, hitting 8-of-15 shots from the field and 4-of-4 from the line. Speights is a per-minute monster, but the problem is that he's only eclipsed the 20-minute mark one time in January (tonight). With Blake Griffin (knee) nearing a return, it's tough to get excited about this. We'll let you know if his role grows. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:24 pm
  • Kevin Love (back) won't miss additional time
Kevin Love (back) said that he won't miss any additional time.

Advice: He said his back tightened up on him at Sunday's practice and it flared up when he bumped into Zaza Pachulia in the second quarter. Love did not return to the game after halftime, but the Cavs were likely being cautious due to the lopsided score. Expect Love to play on Thursday vs. the Suns. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:50 pm
  • Kevin Durant scores 21 on 9-of-16 FGs
Kevin Durant scored 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting in Monday's win over the Cavaliers.

Advice: Durant had three blocks on the night including a massive rejection on a LeBron James dunk attempt (link below). He added six rebounds, five assists, two steals and three triples, but only played 29 minutes in the blowout win. Durant should be a popular DFS target on Wednesday vs. Russell Westbrook and the Thunder. The last time those two teams met, Durant had 39 points on 15-of-24 shooting. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:50 pm
  • Al Horford comes through with 22 points
Al Horford hit 8-of-14 shots, a 3-pointer and 5-of-5 free throws for 22 points, six rebounds and four assists in 34 minutes on Monday.

Advice: This was Horford's most points scored since he had 23 way back on Dec. 23. His assist numbers are impressive and he's averaging 14.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 0.8 steals, 1.0 blocks and 1.6 3-pointers while shooting 43 percent over his last five games. Over his last four games, his field goal percentage jumps to 53 percent, so look at him as one of the hotter shooting perimeter centers in the league right now. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:28 pm
  • Jerami Grant will start vs. the Clippers
Jerami Grant will start against the Clippers on Monday.

Advice: Steven Adams (concussion) is out, but it was initially believed that Enes Kanter would move into the starting five after he was listed as a probable starter. Instead, the Thunder will go with a frontcourt of Grant and Domantas Sabonis to match up with the small-ball lineup of the Clippers. Grant is just a short-term option for owners in need of a couple blocks. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:27 pm
  • Kevin Love (back) will not return Monday
Kevin Love (back) will not return for the second half of Monday's game vs. the Warriors.

Advice: He is dealing with lower back soreness, but the lopsided score probably has a lot to do with their decision to hold him out -- the Warriors are up by 29 points at halftime. Kyle Korver started the second half in Love's place, but we should see more minutes from Channing Frye as well. Love finished with three points on 1-of-6 shooting with three rebounds and one assist. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:28 pm
  • Nikola Jokic pours in career-high 30 points
Nikola Jokic was unstoppable in the Nuggets blowout victory over Orlando Monday night, scoring a career-high 30 points to go along with 11 rebounds, five assists, three steals and a 3-pointer.

Advice: Jokic joins Carmelo Anthony as just the second Nugget to tally at least 30 points, 10 boards, five assists and three steals in a single game over the last 25 years. However, this performance isn't a complete surprise because, despite playing through a nagging wrist injury that may require offseason surgery, Jokic has been an absolute beast of late. He is now averaging 21.6 points, 9.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists over the Nuggets last seven games. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:32 pm
  • John Henson plays 26 minutes in loss
John Henson played 26 minutes on Monday vs. the 76ers, scoring eight points on 3-of-8 shooting.

Advice: The Bucks needed his defense against the one they call The Process, so he reached 26 minutes for the just the second time in over a month. Henson did a respectable job and grabbed five rebounds with four assists and two blocks, but we'll need to see him do this a couple times in a row before recommending an add in standard leagues. Greg Monroe still looks like the center you want to own. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:49 pm
  • Clint Capela (knee) feeling good in workouts
Clint Capela (knee) said that he's been sprinting and dunking during recent workouts, and it all felt good.

Advice: Capela has been out of commission since Dec. 17, but he could return to the court for Tuesday's game against the Heat. The Rockets will make an official determination on his status following Tuesday morning's shootaround, but he's close enough to a return that he should be stashed in most leagues. He'll likely be eased back into things after the lengthy layoff, but once he's fully up to speed, Montrezl Harrell will lose most of his value. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:42 pm
  • Joel Embiid scores 22 points in 28 minutes
Joel Embiid played like an All-Star during a 113-104 win over the Bucks on Monday, making 4-of-9 from the field and 13-of-18 from the line for 22 points with 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals, one 3-pointer and five blocks.

Advice: He should've had a sixth block on a terrific swat on Jabari Parker, but the refs didn't feel the same way and called it a goaltend (video in link below). Embiid has gone to the line 32 times in 56 minutes over his last two and is arguably the most unstoppable center in the NBA these days. In the fourth, he had a 93.8 true shooting percentage, a 37.3 usage rate, a 145.1 offensive rating and 12 points in those 7.6 minutes. If you don't know, now you know. Trust The Process. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:35 pm
  • Anthony Davis (hip, thumb) doubtful to return
Anthony Davis (right hip, left thumb) is doubtful to return to Monday's game against the Pacers.

Advice: The good news here is that the X-rays taken on his thumb and hip both came back negative, so it appears AD has avoided a serious injury. He was barely able to walk to the locker room, so it would be quite shocking to see him return to the game today. He'll end his evening with 16 points, three rebounds and three assists. Terrence Jones is going to be the primary beneficiary if Davis is forced to miss any additional time, so he's a solid pickup in any setting. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:12 pm
  • Tyler Zeller (illness) will not play Monday
Tyler Zeller (illness) will not suit up for Monday's game against the Hornets.

Advice: Zeller is finally feeling better, but Monday will mark his eighth straight game on the sidelines due to this illness. We'll consider him questionable for Wednesday's game against the Knicks, but with the main guys in Boston's frontcourt healthy, Zeller won't have any fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:04 pm
    Injured

  • Anthony Davis (back) heads to the locker room
Anthony Davis (tailbone) is headed to the locker room.

Advice: Davis tried to posterize Myles Turner on a dunk attempt, but Turner did not let that happen, and Davis hit the floor hard. He was writhing in pain on the ground for roughly a minute, and while he stayed in the game to knock down his free throws, he went straight back to the locker room after knocking them down. Davis was barely able to walk on his way back to the locker room, so it seems unlikely he'll be able to return to this one. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 2:38 pm
  • Paul Millsap scores 17 in full line
Paul Millsap scored 17 points during a big 108-107 win over the Knicks on Monday, adding seven rebounds, six assists, three steals, three blocks and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He had a game-sealing block of Derrick Rose to get this win. Millsap didn't shoot the ball well in this game, making just 5-of-18 from the field and 6-of-10 from the line in 39 minutes. Dwight Howard (rest) did not play, which has been a helpful scenario for Millsap all season. The Hawks are also winning games and have gone 9-1 in their last 10, so maybe he stays put. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 1:43 pm
  • Joakim Noah scores seven points in loss
Joakim Noah scored seven points with 17 rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks in 33 minutes against the Hawks on Monday.

Advice: This comes on the second half of a back-to-back set, which is way more playing time than he's played previously with 21.8 minutes per game on no rest. Noah will likely see a dip in playing time at some point for a number of reasons, so he's only worth a look in 14-team leagues with his recent solid play. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 1:06 pm
  • Nerlens Noel (ankle) out Monday vs. MIL
Nerlens Noel (sprained left ankle) will not play Monday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: He did sprain it on Saturday and was able to return, so for now we'll be considering him questionable for Wednesday's game against Toronto. With Noel on the sidelines, Jahlil Okafor will serve as Joel Embiid's primary backup, but he'll likely be working with a 20-minute workload making him an unattractive target in most settings. Noel should remain owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 12:30 pm
  • Joel Embiid starting, Okafor to the bench
Joel Embiid (rest) will return to the starting lineup on Monday, sending Jahlil Okafor back to the bench.

Advice: Embiid was rested on the second leg of a back-to-back set on Saturday, but he'll be back in action with his usual 28-minute workload for MLK day. Nerlens Noel will be serving as Embiid's backup today, so Okafor could have a tough time finding meaningful minutes. Embiid, however, is a must-start guy every time he takes the court. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:37 am
  • Reed (bruised sternum) probable Tuesday
Willie Reed (bruised sternum) is probable for Tuesday's game vs. the Rockets.

Advice: Reed only plays minutes in the teens while Hassan Whiteside is healthy, but this does have a couple fantast implications. Luke Babbitt's minutes will take a hit with Reed back in the rotation and James Johnson won't have to spend a lot of time as the backup center. Reed is just a handcuff for Whiteside's owners in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:58 am
  • Ed Davis (sprained ankle) will play Monday
Ed Davis (sprained left ankle) is available to play on Monday vs. the Wizards.

Advice: He was considered questionable, but he said his ankle felt fine after warmups. Davis has played 21 or less minutes in three straight games, so he shouldn't be in many fantasy lineups. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:41 am
  • Andre Drummond hits rare 3-pointer Sunday
Andre Drummond briefly exited Sunday's game with a right leg injury, but he returned to finish with 15 points, 17 rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block in 32 minutes.

Advice: Drummond appeared to injure the knee or lower part of his right leg, but he was no worse the wear after returning and we'll leave him off the injury report. He wasn't very efficient tonight, hitting 6-of-17 FGs and 2-of-5 FTs, but he managed to sink a 3-pointer for the second time this season and fifth time in his career. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 9:47 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins double-doubles vs. Thunder
DeMarcus Cousins hit 8-of-20 shots for 31 points with 11 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, one block and one 3-pointer on Sunday against the Thunder.

Advice: The big man has shown his passing abilities more often this season, averaging a career-high 4.1 assists per game. He has dished out at least five dimes in 10 of his last 11 games and has flirted with a triple-double several times during that stretch. Tonight’s double-double, marked his fifth consecutive one. Fantasy owners should be content with his production this season. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 9:05 pm
  • Andre Drummond exits w/ right leg injury
Andre Drummond exited Sunday's game with an apparent right leg/knee injury, but he has since returned to the Pistons' bench.

Advice: Drummond exited early in the third quarter and had a limp as he walked into the locker room, so we'll consider him questionable to return. Aron Baynes and Boban Marjanovic would gain the most if Drummond misses any time. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:03 pm
  • Montrezl Harrell gets 16 & 7 in start Sunday
Montrezl Harrell logged 34 minutes as a starter on Sunday, making 6-of-9 FGs and 4-of-6 FTs to finish with 16 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks.

Advice: The bad news is that Clint Capela is nearing a return from his fractured fibula, and could play as soon as Tuesday's road game in Miami. Harrell has carved out a reliable spot in the rotation, but he's averaging just 16.2 minutes off the bench, as opposed to 26.6 minutes as a starter. The clock is ticking, though he's worth owning until we see how the rotation shakes out with Capela active. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 6:05 pm
  • Jon Leuer will not play Sunday vs. Lakers
Jon Leuer (knee) won't play vs. the Lakers on Sunday.

Advice: Leuer was listed as doubtful and this shouldn't come as a surprise to any owners. Aron Baynes, Tobias Harris and Marcus Morris will continue to pick up the slack until Leuer gets back on the court. Consider him questionable to return vs. the Hawks on Wednesday. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 5:21 pm
    Injured

  • Nikola Mirotic could return on Tuesday
Coach Fred Hoiberg is "hopeful" that Nikola Mirotic (illness) will play on Tuesday against Dallas.

Advice: Mirotic has missed four games due to the illness, which appears to be strep throat. Prior to the issue, he averaged 25.8 minutes, 10.8 points, four rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game in the month of January. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 4:43 pm
  • Nikola Jokic still dealing w/ left wrist pain
Nikola Jokic still doesn't have full range of motion in his left wrist, he continues to play through pain, and it's possible that he will need surgery after the season.

Advice: Jokic shed his wrist brace for Thursday's game and plans to play without it again on Monday, and the good news is that there's no suggestion of more DNPs. "I cannot go to push-up position," Jokic said. "[Doctors] said they could [perform surgery], but it wasn’t 100 percent that it would feel better." This isn't a comforting update for Jokic's owners, but he's been on fire lately and all signs point to him playing through his discomfort for the rest of the season. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 3:17 pm
  • Gorgui Dieng scores season-high 21 points
Gorgui Dieng scored a season high-21 points on 10-of-12 shooting during Sunday's 98-87 loss to the Mavericks, adding eight rebounds and one steal in 31 minutes.

Advice: Dieng was en fuego on the offensive end, as he regularly abused Dirk Nowitzki on his post ups. This was a nice bounce-back game after Friday's four-point, 1-of-10 shooting disaster, and while owners shouldn't expect this sort of offensive output on most nights, Dieng's steady stream of defensive statistics with solid shooting percentages has his him churning out steady mid-round value on the year. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:02 pm
  • Ed Davis (ankle) questionable Monday vs. WAS
Ed Davis (sprained left ankle) is a game-time call on Monday vs. the Wizards.

Advice: It's unclear exactly when Davis suffered this injury, but we should have a better idea on his status following Monday morning's shootaround. If he's out, Meyers Leonard would have the opportunity for some extended minutes off the bench, but he's too inconsistent to rely upon in standard settings. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 1:50 pm
  • Chris McCullough recalled from the D-League
Chris McCullough has been recalled from the D-League.

Advice: He'll return to being a bench warmer for the Nets tonight. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 12:20 pm
  • Darrell Arthur (knee) out Monday vs. Magic
Darrell Arthur (knee) will not suit up for Monday's game against the Magic.

Advice: It's always something with this guy, and Monday will mark his second straight game on the sidelines. Kenneth Faried and Jusuf Nurkic will likely split his limited minutes, which doesn't mean all that much. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 11:48 am
  • Stevens says Zeller (illness) feeling better
Celtics head coach Brad Stevens said that Tyler Zeller (illness) is feeling a lot better and getting closer to a return.

Advice: The illness has forced Zeller to spend the past seven straight games on the sidelines, but it sounds like there's a chance he'll be able to return to action Monday vs. the Hornets. He'll likely be eased back into things, but he's not a significant part of the rotation anyway, so his return to action will have a negligible impact in fantasy hoops. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 11:46 am
    Injured

  • Jon Leuer (knee) doubtful Sunday vs. Lakers
Jon Leuer (knee) is being listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Lakers.

Advice: Leuer was able a limited participant during shootaround, and while he's hopeful that he'll be able to give it a go, we're not all that optimistic. Stan Van Gundy said that Reggie Bullock will draw the start if Leuer can't give it a go, so it'll be interesting to see if Tobias Harris sticks in the starting five. For now, we're going to consider Leuer questionable for Wednesday's game against the Hawks. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 11:23 am
    Injured

  • Willie Reed (sternum) limited at practice Sun
Willie Reed (bruised sternum) was a limited participant during Sunday's practice.

Advice: "During the non-contact part, there was some soreness," Reed said. "All in all, I’m fine. We’re just going to see how it feels when you take a blow to it. That’s the biggest key." With Reed on the sidelines, James Johnson has been forced into heavy minutes, earning some run at the five-spot in small ball lineups when Hassan Whiteside goes to the bench. Reed isn't worth a roster spot anywhere. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 11:14 am
  • Chris McCullough assigned to D-League
Chris McCullough has been assigned to the D-League.

Advice: He will eventually get some burn on the Nets at some point after the All-Star break, but he has no fantasy value right now. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:17 am
  • Clint Capela (leg) could return on Tuesday
Clint Capela (leg) could return on Tuesday vs. the Heat or Wednesday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: He has missed about one month of action, but the big man is scheduled to go through practice on Monday. It's fair to assume that Capela will have restrictions right out of the gate, but he shouldn't be sitting on your waiver wire with season averages of 11.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks. Montrezl Harrell is now a drop candidate in most leagues, while Nene loses a lot of value as well. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:11 am
  • Nerlens Noel gets into some foul trouble
Nerlens Noel was in some foul trouble against the Wizards on Saturday, finishing with six points, 12 rebounds and three turnovers in 13 minutes.

Advice: He also sprained his left ankle and did return after he was re-taped. Obviously this was a letdown with Joel Embiid (rest) not playing, but it's not likely to affect his playing time because the 76ers won five of their last six, assuming he's healthy. He should be owned in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:45 pm
  • Anthony Davis scores 36 points in return
Anthony Davis scored 36 points in his return to the lineup during a 107-99 loss to the Bulls on Saturday, adding 14 rebounds, two assists, one steal and three blocks in 39 minutes.

Advice: After missing one game due to a hip contusion, Davis had some protective padding in this game. After maybe some rust early, Davis went off in the second half with 23 points and nine boards in 21 minutes. He gets a great matchup in Indiana on Monday afternoon. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:27 pm
  • Anthony Davis will play, has no restriction
Anthony Davis (hip) will play on Saturday and does not have a minutes restriction.

Advice: He did some work on Friday and said there was a "high probability" he would play today, so he should be all set. Davis absolutely exploded before his hip injury in the third quarter on Tuesday, scoring 40 points with 18 boards in the partial game. He makes sense on a light DFS night. Meanwhile, we'll see who starts next to him, but Terrence Jones is still worth owning for now. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:36 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic ruled out for Sunday night
Nikola Mirotic (illness) will not play against the Grizzlies on Sunday.

Advice: He has a really, really bad case of something with now four games out of the lineup. Mirotic being out should open up minutes for Doug McDermott as the second-unit shooter, but McDermott has been awful lately. If things change on Saturday, maybe Bobby Portis gets a look. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:31 pm
  • Joel Embiid (rest) will not play Saturday
As expected, Joel Embiid (rest) will not play Saturday vs. the Wizards.

Advice: As had been the plan all along, the Sixers will sit out their budding star on the second night of a back-to-back. It will be interesting to see how coach Brett Brown handles the void left by Embiid. Nerlens Noel has found his groove playing with the second unit, and Brown may, therefore, choose to have Noel come off the bench Saturday as well. This means we may get a look at Jahlil Okafor, who has played just once this month. Richaun Holmes is the other candidate to draw a start. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 10:34 am
  • Noel playing well with Sixers second unit
Nerlens Noel has found his groove as a key contributor on the Sixers consistent and productive second unit.

Advice: Over the Sixers last seven games, Noel is averaging 10.1 points (on 63.3 percent shooting), 4.3 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 1.1 blocks and 0.6 turnovers. The combo of Noel backing Joel Embiid has worked well for Philly, who have won five of their last six games. The loser in the scenario is Jahlil Okafor, who continues to be slapped with DNP-CD's. Noel has made his case as 'roster worthy' in all standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:40 am
  • Joakim Noah playing his best ball of season
Joakim Noah has been hampered by a sore shoulder over the last 10 days, but is still playing his best basketball of the season.

Advice: In the 11 games the Knicks have played since Christmas, Noah is averaging 11.1 rebounds and 8.0 points (on 57.4 percent shooting). And despite dealing with a nagging shoulder issue, Noah feels there is still plenty of room left for improvement. "I feel like I can still do better," Noah said. "I feel like there’s another level that I want to get to and have to keep pushing and getting better." Noah will likely see more minutes if Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) continues to miss time. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 8:59 am
  • DeMarcus Cousins hands out 11 assists
DeMarcus Cousins handed out a season-high 11 assists during a 120-108 loss to the Cavs on Friday, adding 26 points with eight rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer in 39 minutes.

Advice: The Kings are not playing well again and are sitting in the No. 9 spot with the Pelicans and Nuggets only 0.5 games behind them. As for Cousins, his passing has been a trend lately, averaging 6.7 per game over his last seven. His scoring is slightly down with just 23.1 points per game in that span, but he'll be closer to 30 in no time. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:58 pm
  • Andre Drummond grabs 19 rebounds in loss
Andre Drummond scored nine points on 3-of-7 shooting with 19 rebounds, one assist and one steal vs. the Jazz on Friday.

Advice: He was held to single-digit points for just the second time in his last 12 games, but that's what happens when you go up against the Stifle Tower (Rudy Gobert). Look for him to bounce back in a dream matchup with the Lakers on Sunday. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:40 pm
  • Al Horford scores 10 points
Al Horford scored 10 points with six rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Hawks on Friday.

Advice: In his return to Atlanta, Horford had plenty of boos to start the game. The crowd did give him a standing ovation after his video tribute, though. While Horford's numbers are down, he's done a fine job hitting treys with 2.2 per game over his last five. Expect him to heat up in no time. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:06 pm
  • Paul Millsap scores 23 in full line
Paul Millsap scored 23 points in 40 minutes during a tough 103-101 loss to the Celtics on Friday, adding five rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: The Hawks reportedly told Millsap he's off the block, which is fantastic news for his fantasy value. He's also turned into that stat-stuffing monster we've grown accustom to love, averaging 17.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.0 blocks, 2.0 steals and 0.8 treys in his last five. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:50 pm
  • Gorgui Dieng makes just 1-of-10
Gorgui Dieng made 1-of-10 from the field for four points with three rebounds, two assists and five fouls in 33 minutes against the Thunder on Friday.

Advice: He's actually been a terrific shooter lately, making 54.4 percent from the field over his last 19. This bad game comes on two really rough ones with 25.5 minutes per game, so there's a good chance this is the low point. Plus, the Wolves are talking up Nemanja Bjelica. This may be the best chance to buy low on him. His owners should obviously stick with him. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:04 pm
  • TTP: Embiid scores 24, 76ers win 3 in a row
Joel Embiid scored 24 points in a 102-93 win over the Hornets on Friday, adding eight rebounds, one assist, two steals and three blocks.

Advice: In case you missed it, he will not play on Saturday against the Wizards. Embiid has just been insane with at least 20 points in eight straight despite his minutes limit and going to the line 14 times helped him tonight. Plus, his 76ers now have the longest active winning streak in the Eastern Conference with three games. He's already elite in his rookie season. Just quickly on the off-court stuff, The Process also came out in the starting lineups to the WWE's Triple H's theme music and spit his water out like the wrestler does before matches (video in link below). Yes, this is about basketball. As always, trust The Process. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:36 pm
  • Nerlens Noel blocks four in 20 minutes
Nerlens Noel blocked a season-high four shots against the Hornets on Friday, adding six points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 20 minutes.

Advice: His jumper has actually been a story this season with another made J at the top of the key during this one. Noel is running the floor really well and his defense hasn't been too much of a drop off from Joel Embiid -- Jahlil Okafor's certainly was. As long as Embiid is limited to 28 minutes, Noel should have minutes close to 20, which should be enough value to use in standard leagues. There could be more minutes for Noel on Saturday with Embiid out. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:55 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic (illness) out for Saturday
Nikola Mirotic (illness) will not play against the Pelicans on Saturday.

Advice: This will be his third game out of the lineup with his very bad illness. With him out, it was Paul Zipser getting the start while Bobby Portis also saw some late minutes in a close game. Doug McDermott could also benefit, but he's been in a brutal slump. Mirotic is still a stash. Rotoworld.com Friday, 2:29 pm
  • Joel Embiid on a 28-minute limit again
Joel Embiid (ankle) will have a 28-minute limit against the Hornets on Friday.

Advice: The 76ers will be limiting him for the foreseeable future and he is not expected to play on Saturday. Embiid has been awesome in his last seven games, posting a 37.9 usage rate and an 58.4 true shooting percentage -- also a 16.3 rebound rate. He could have a monster game tonight with the Hornets not having the personnel to stop him. Rotoworld.com Friday, 2:20 pm
  • Anthony Davis has 'high probability' to play
Anthony Davis (hip) said there is a "high probability" that he will play Saturday against the Bulls.

Advice: "I feel better. I was able to do some movements today," Davis said. "Able to go through practice. Of course it wasn’t that much [in terms of strenuous activity], but I feel a lot better." Based on the quote, he's not all the way back and we still have to see how he feels tomorrow. If Davis does return, it'll be interesting to see if coach Alvin Gentry goes with more Terrence Jones, who should be owned in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 12:45 pm
  • Willie Reed (sternum) will not play Friday
Willie Reed (bruised sternum) will not play in Friday's game against the Bucks.

Advice: Reed is averaging 11.9 minutes in non-starts this season, backing up Hassan Whiteside. The Heat don't have another true center on the roster. With Reed not available on Friday, Udonis Haslem may see more minutes behind Whiteside. The more intriguing outcome, from a fantasy perspective, would be Miami playing small-ball, with James Johnson seeing additional minutes. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:46 am
  • Joel Embiid (ankle) remains probable Friday
Joel Embiid (ankle) went through shootaround and said he expects to play Friday vs. Charlotte.

Advice: Embiid said the ankle he tweaked on Wednesday night feels "fine." The plan is to play Embiid on Friday and then rest him Saturday. Embiid has scored at least 20 points in seven straight games and is averaging 23.4 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks over that stretch. Make sure he is locked in starting lineups for Friday. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:25 am
  • Joakim Noah dealing with a sore shoulder
Joakim Noah is dealing with discomfort in his sore right shoulder.

Advice: Noah has been wincing in pain on occasions during games and often has his shoulder wrapped in ice when he's on the bench. "He’s had it looked at," coach Jeff Hornacek said. "There’s just some little stuff in there. When he lifts his arm in one certain way he feels it catch." Asked about his shoulder, Noah said, "It’s fine." Although his offensive output has been frustratingly inconsistent, Noah is averaging 11.1 rebounds over the Knicks last 11 games. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:55 am
  • Noel 'definitely satisfied' w/ role on Sixers
Nerlens Noel has settled into his role as Joel Embiid's primary backup, and has played his best basketball of the season.

Advice: "At this moment in time, I'm definitely satisfied with where I'm at and the team's rotation," Noel said. Over the Sixers last six games, Noel is averaging 10.8 points (on 60 percent shooting) 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 20.5 minutes. Meanwhile, Jahlil Okafor has been a DNP-CD in four of the Sixers last five contests. Noel possesses intriguing, especially considering the Sixers are actively trying to trade a big man to clear up the logjam in the frontcourt. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:27 am
  • Nikola Jokic returned to action on Thursday January 12. Rotoworld.com Friday, 12:37 am
  • Kevin Durant scores 25 on 10-of-15 shooting
Kevin Durant hit 10-of-15 shots and three 3-pointers for 25 points, six rebounds, nine assists and a steal in Thursday's blowout 127-107 win over the Pistons.

Advice: He stayed in the game for a lot of fourth-quarter garbage time when Stephen Curry and most other starters were resting, giving him a nice boost in DFS. This was one of Durant's most efficient games of the season, but then again, it's also just a good example of what he does. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:11 pm
  • Joakim Noah double-doubles vs. Bulls
Joakim Noah scored 12 points with 15 rebounds, one assist and one block in 27 minutes on Thursday night against Chicago.

Advice: Noah came out to play vs. his former team, finishing one rebound shy of tying his season high of 16 boards in a game. He is playing through a sore shoulder, but it did not appear to be affecting him in tonight’s matchup. His minutes are inconsistent, but Noah is a good source of rebounds and can help fantasy owners who are struggling in that category. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:59 pm
  • Anthony Davis (hip) will not play on Thursday
Anthony Davis (hip) will not play on Thursday against the Nets.

Advice: After Kyle O'Quinn fouled AD and sent him into the stands, Davis has been dealing with some soreness since then. This doesn't sound like a serious injury for Davis and he could play Saturday against the Bulls. With him out, coach Alvin Gentry should be rolling with Terrence Jones in the starting lineup or could use Donatas Motiejunas. TJ will be a popular DFS play while we should see more Solomon Hill, Dante Cunningham and perhaps some of the centers. Maybe we'll see some Cheick Diallo. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 3:39 pm
  • Chris McCullough gets called back up
The Nets recalled Chris McCullough on Thursday.

Advice: He just scored 37 points in the D-League today, but he's still way behind where he should be as an NBA player. With the Nets struggling, maybe they turn McCullough loose at some point, but that won't be for a while. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 3:29 pm
  • Nikola Jokic dominates in win over Pacers
Nikola Jokic put on another one of his clinics in London during a 140-112 win over the Pacers on Thursday, scoring 22 points with 10 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He continues to sizzle as a passer with plenty of highlight-reel dimes and also has at least five in four straight. What really has made Jokic elite lately has been his remarkable 72.3 true shooting percentage in his last 13. He's posted a MVP Curry-like 64.8 effective field goal percentage on his 64 jumpers in that span to go with an ridiculous 71.9 percent on his shots from within eight feet. In Nikola we trust. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 2:58 pm
  • Willie Reed (sternum) questionable for Friday
Willie Reed (bruised sternum) is questionable for Friday's game against the Bucks.

Advice: He did not practice and was in sweats for the session on Thursday. Reed has been in the rotation as a straight backup to Hassan Whiteside, but likely won't play more than 15 minutes most nights. If he's out, Udonis Haslem could be next man up or the Heat could use James Johnson at the five more. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 1:29 pm
  • Nikola Jokic will play on Thursday
Nikola Jokic (illness) wil play against the Pacers on Thursday night.

Advice: He was sick on Saturday, so he's had plenty of time to get back to 100 percent. When Jokic can avoid foul trouble and the Nuggets are in close games, he has a great chance to get minutes in the mid 30s. Expect a big game in London today. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:36 am
  • Darrell Arthur will not play on Thursday
Darrell Arthur (leg) will not play against the Pacers on Thursday.

Advice: The Nuggets are somewhat healthy besides Arthur, so he wasn't a lock to be in the rotation anyway. Kenneth Faried could see some minutes at power forward tonight. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:30 am
  • Joel Embiid (left ankle) probable for Friday
Joel Embiid (left ankle) is probable for Friday's game vs. the Hornets, but will not play on Saturday vs. the Hornets on the second night of a back-to-back.

Advice: He missed practice on Thursday to get treatment on his tweaked left ankle, but the 76ers are just being cautious. Embiid briefly left Wednesday's game vs. the Knicks, but returned in the second half and finished with 21 points (7-of-20 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), a career-high 14 rebounds, one steal and one block in 27 minutes. Owners of The Process can expect to have him in their lineups on Friday. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:10 am
  • Tyler Zeller (illness) will not play Friday
Tyler Zeller (illness) will not play on Friday vs. the Hawks.

Advice: He's not even traveling with the team and can't seem to shake this illness. Luckily for the Celtics, Amir Johnson (ankle) could return against the Hawks. Zeller was not in the rotation before the illness, so this doesn't have any fantasy implications. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:07 am
    Injured

  • Nikola Jokic (illness) is expected to play
Nikola Jokic (illness) is still expected to play on Thursday vs. the Pacers.

Advice: This isn't much of an update after he was upgraded to probable on Wednesday. His owners can go ahead and pencil him into active lineups and we'll confirm that the fantasy star is starting this afternoon. Darrell Arthur (leg) will head back to the bench and may not even play. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:47 am
  • Darrell Arthur (leg) questionable Thursday
Darrell Arthur (leg) is questionable for Thursday's game for the Pacers.

Advice: Of course he is. Nikola Jokic is returning from an illness anyways, so Arthur will be irrelevant in most fantasy leagues with his move back to the bench. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:42 am
  • Clint Capela (leg) says he feels good
Clint Capela (leg) said he's feeling good and he remains on pace to return in the next week or two.

Advice: "My legs feel good. My quickness, I can run, stuff like that," Capela said. "Right now, I just take it day-after-day working out. I'm on schedule for four-to-six weeks (original timetable), like they said before. My workout is getting better, really better." As long as you're OK with his 44.6 percent shooting from the free throw line, Capela is worth stashing after averaging 11.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks before going down. Montrezl Harrell will lose most of his value when Capela is cleared. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:48 am
  • Marreese Speights scores 13 efficient points
Marreese Speights scored 13 efficient points off the bench on Wednesday, hitting 5-of-6 shots with three 3-pointers, three rebounds and one assist in a home win vs. the Magic.

Advice: Speights has made at least one three-pointer in 14 straight games, the longest streak of his career. He's managed to carve out late-round value in Blake Griffin's absence despite playing just 16.9 minutes over the past month. During that time he's established a nice rapport with Chris Paul -- coming into this game, Speights had a 72.7 effective FG percentage off passes from CP3. That said, he's an atypical fantasy big man whose primary virtues have been 3-pointers and FT%. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:25 pm
  • Kevin Love scores 17 points in loss
Kevin Love made 5-of-15 from the field for 17 points with eight rebounds, one assist and three 3-pointers in 28 minutes against the Blazers on Wednesday.

Advice: He gave everyone a quick scare when he went to the locker room due to a left leg injury. He was only in the locker room for about a minute before he went on a bike, which he does quite often. Love has shaken his durability concerns from earlier in his career, but there's always a chance he gets a night off on the road. The Cavs don't have a road game in a back-to-back until Jan. 29. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:05 pm
  • Gorgui Dieng's minutes wane in past two games
Gorgui Dieng's playing time was down for the second straight game on Wednesday, as he scored 10 points on 5-of-5 shooting with two boards, two assists and one block in 26 minutes of action.

Advice: Dieng logged 25 minutes vs. Dallas on Monday and he hasn't been in foul trouble in either game. Shabazz Muhammad's stellar play is the apparent cause of his dip, and it doesn't help that the struggling Wolves won the past two games. He's been a steady mid-round value and his owners shouldn't panic -- if anything, this could develop into a buy-low opportunity. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:02 pm
  • Montrezl Harrell starts, logs 20 minutes
Montrezl Harrell earned another start vs. the Wolves on Wednesday, chipping in nine points (2-of-4 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), five boards, two assists and one steal in 20 minutes.

Advice: Since Clint Capela's first DNP on Dec. 20, Harrell has averaged 14.8 points on 69.5 percent shooting, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 blocks and 0.4 steals. The limited minutes tonight were due to foul trouble and he's worth deploying for now, despite the constant threat from Nene (nine points in 15 minutes). Just keep in mind that Capela is progressing well and could return in late January. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:01 pm
  • Kevin Love returns to the game vs. Blazers
Kevin Love returned to the game on Wednesday in the second quarter.

Advice: He didn't go into the locker room for very long, so we're expecting him to be fine. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:22 pm
  • Al Horford fills it up in win vs. Washington
Al Horford filled up the boxscore vs. Washington, notching 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting with nine rebounds, three assists, two steals, two blocks and two 3-pointers.

Advice: Horford turned the ball over just twice in 33 minutes, and tonight's line was a nice return to form -- in Boston's past six games, he was shooting just 43.2 percent from the field with 0.5 steals. The occasional slump is balanced out by hot streaks, and at the end of the day he's an early-round value. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:20 pm
  • Kevin Love (left leg) to the locker room
Kevin Love (left leg) went to the locker room at the end of the first quarter on Wednesday.

Advice: He stepped on Al-Farouq Aminu's foot and looked to grab his left calf. Love was down for about two minutes before he went to the bench for about 45 seconds. He didn't have much of a limp and returned from the locker room to ride a bike. This seems minor for now. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:09 pm
  • Nerlens Noel gets 13 points, eight rebounds
Nerlens Noel put together a nice game on Wednesday, scoring 13 points on 5-of-8 FGs and 3-of-4 FTs with eight rebounds, two steals and one assist.

Advice: It's a strong return for fantasy owners since Noel played just 21 minutes tonight. Interestingly, he knocked down two jumpers at the top of the key tonight and is now a combined 7-of-10 on shots 15-24 feet from the hoop this season. Regardless of his shot locations, Noel is a promising guy to own with Jahlil Okafor racking up DNPs and the Sixers likely to trade away one of their young centers. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:17 pm
  • Joakim Noah logs 20 minutes vs. Philly
Joakim Noah finished Wednesday's game with seven points (3-of-6 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), six rebounds, two steals, one block and zero turnovers in 20 minutes of action.

Advice: Noah had a wrap on his right shoulder when he wasn't playing, and admitted recently that the surgically-repaired shoulder is "always there" as a background concern. The slumping Knicks recently held a team meeting to discuss their issues, and they may need to meet a few more times after tonight's disastrous 98-97 loss to the Sixers. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:06 pm
  • Tyler Zeller will not play on Wednesday
Tyler Zeller (illness) will not play on Wednesday against the Wizards.

Advice: The Celtics are going to be a little short on their depth up front. With Zeller and Amir Johnson (ankle) out, there should be plenty of minutes for Kelly Olynyk and Jonas Jerebko. We should see Jordan Mickey in the rotation and more small-ball lineups, too. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:13 pm
    Injured

  • Nikola Mirotic (illness) out for Thursday
Nikola Mirotic (illness) will not play against the Knicks on Thursday.

Advice: He flew back to Chicago because he is still sick. The Bulls actually played well considering they were missing most of their guys on Tuesday. Doug McDermott should still see most of the backup forward minutes while Bobby Portis could be in the rotation again. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:31 am
  • Anthony Davis (hip) questionable for Thursday
Alvin Gentry would not commit to Anthony Davis (hip) being available for Thursday's game against the Nets.

Advice: "He's sore. He'll get treatment, see how he feels tomorrow," said Gentry when asked about Davis. We should have another update following Thursday morning's shootaround, but if this injury does force Davis to the sidelines, Terrence Jones and Donatas Motiejunas would see a major boost in value, with Jones offering a bit more upside. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:51 am
  • Chris McCullough sent down for D-League stint
Chris McCullough has been assigned to Brooklyn's D-League affiliate.

Advice: McCullough does a lot of this, but he's rarely in the rotation for the Nets. Leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:40 am
  • Report: DMC to sign massive extension w/ SAC
DeMarcus Cousins reportedly intends to sign a massive extension with the Kings during the offseason.

Advice: Kings management and Cousins have reportedly tossed around numbers, and the deal could be for as much as $207 million over a five-year period. To be clear, a deal won't be able to come to fruition until after July 1, 2017, and a lot could change between now and then, but the Kings front office has been adamant about their commitment to DMC as a franchise cornerstone ever since Vlade Divac took the reigns as GM. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:04 am
  • Nikola Jokic (illness) probable for Thursday
Nikola Jokic (illness) is probable to play Thursday vs. the Pacers.

Advice: Jokic missed Saturday's loss to the Thunder, but he's now had a full five days to rest up, so he should be just fine for Thursday's game. With Jokic back on the court, he'll siphon away some minutes from Jusuf Nurkic and Darrell Arthur. Owners can expect to get another update on Jokic's status following Thursday morning's shootaround. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:29 am
  • Andre Drummond blocks seven shots in loss
Andre Drummond hit 4-of-5 shots and 1-of-6 free throws for nine points, 12 rebounds, three steals and a season-high seven blocks in Tuesday's 100-94 loss to the Kings.

Advice: His previous season high was four blocks, so he nearly doubled that up tonight. He came in on fire, scoring 28 points with 14 rebounds in back-to-back games, and the seven swats helped make up for the lack of points tonight. He had also been shooting free throws pretty well in January, hitting 8-of-11 over his last four games, but couldn't get the freebies to drop tonight. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:34 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins scores 24 w/ four treys
DeMarcus Cousins scored 24 points and helped the Kings snap a three-game losing streak with a 100-94 win over the Pistons on Tuesday.

Advice: Boogie hit 8-of-14 shots from the field and 4-of-7 from the line, adding 13 rebounds, six assists, one block, one steal and four triples. He only played 30 minutes because of foul trouble, but he dominated in the fourth quarter. DeMarcus Cousins promised that he will make an R&B album if he's voted into the starting lineup of the All-Star game, so let's make sure that happens. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:34 pm
  • Kevin Durant scores 28 without an assist
Kevin Durant hit 10-of-21 shots and three 3-pointers for 28 points, eight rebounds, zero assists, one steals and two blocks in Tuesday's 107-95 win over the Heat.

Advice: This was his first game of the season without an assist, which was a complete fluke. Draymond Green had 13 points, nine rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks in 36 minutes, as the Warriors easily handled the short-handed Heat tonight. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:19 pm
  • The Willie Reed party is over in Miami
Willie Reed played just 11 minutes off the bench on Tuesday, going 1-of-4 with four points, four rebounds and a block.

Advice: He was pretty fun to own while Hassan Whiteside missed four games with an eye injury, but the party is over, as Whiteside has been back for two games and had 28 points and 20 rebounds tonight. Feel free to handcuff Reed if you own Whiteside, but he should generally be dropped for a hot free agent now that Whiteside is back and killing it. But if Whiteside gets traded, Reed could suddenly have a lot of value again. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:10 pm
  • Monrezl Harrell plays well again Tuesday
Montrezl Harrell started over Nene and hit 5-of-5 shots for 14 points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocks in Tuesday's win over the Hornets.

Advice: Harrell's spot in the starting lineup is shaky, as Mike D'Antoni flips him in and out with Nene based on matchups. Harrell had 28 points, five boards and a block on Sunday and then played well again tonight in 29 minutes. Starting or coming off the bench really doesn't matter at this point and Harrell is worth owning as long as Clint Capela is out with a broken fibula. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:10 pm
  • Jon Leuer (right knee) will miss next 4 games
Jon Leuer (right knee) will miss the next four games for the Pistons.

Advice: He was diagnosed with a bone bruise, but the earliest we will see him back on the court is on Jan. 18 vs. the Hawks. Outside of deeper leagues, Leuer's owners should evaluate other options. Tobias Harris will likely stick in the starting lineup for at least the next week. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:08 pm
    Injured

  • Montrezl Harrell starting, Nene to bench
Montrezl Harrell will start on Tuesday vs. the Hornets, sending Nene back to the bench.

Advice: Harrell is coming off a monster 28-point game with five boards and a block, but coach Mike D'Antoni is going to base his starting lineups on the matchups until Clint Capela (leg) returns. In case it's not obvious, Harrell is a much better option than Nene regardless of whether or not he starts. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 4:58 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic (flu) out Tuesday vs. Wizards
Nikola Mirotic (flu) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Wizards.

Advice: Wow. The Bulls are going to be desperate for some offense tonight with Dwyane Wade (rest) and Jimmy Butler (illness) also on the sidelines. Denzel Valentine (ankle) will be returning from a three-game absence, and he could be tasked with more offensive responsibilities, but Jerami Grant is the guy that will earn the start. Isaiah Canaan and Doug McDermott could also see an uptick in usage, and Bobby Portis should see some extended run off the bench. For now, we'll consider Mirotic questionable for Thursday. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 2:41 pm
  • Nets recall Chris McCullough from D-League
The Nets have recalled Chris McCullough from the D-League, and he'll be available to play Tuesday vs. the Hawks.

Advice: McCullough rarely earns meaningful minutes in Brooklyn, so he's safe to leave on the waiver wire in all settings. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 2:19 pm
  • Jon Leuer (knee) ruled out for Tuesday
Jon Leuer (right knee) will not suit up for Tuesday's game against the Kings.

Advice: We're still awaiting the results of Leuer's MRI, but he's still dealing with some fluid in his knee, so he could certainly spend a few more games on the sidelines. Tobias Harris should move back into the starting five tonight sans Leuer, with Stanley Johnson and Henry Ellenson having the opportunity for some extended run off the bench. • Kings have no plans to rest DeMarcus Cousins
It appears the Kings have changed course and apparently do not intend to rest DeMarcus Cousins anytime soon.

Advice: Coach Dave Joerger seemed to back away from the initial plan to rest DeMarcus Cousins. "Probably not," said Joerger when asked if resting Cousins was in the cards. DMC has played in all 37 games for Sacramento this season and is averaging a career-high 34.6 minutes. However, the Kings have reeled in minutes slightly of late, playing him less than 32 minutes in two of their last three games. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:31 am
  • Anthony Davis (hip) says 'I'm good'
Anthony Davis suffered a hip pointer in Monday's win, but X-rays came back negative and Davis downplayed the injury.

Advice: Here's the full quote from Davis after the game: "I'm good. I have a bruised hip...going to try and get it right. I have a couple days before I play again so I'll get a lot of treatment." The Pelicans next game is Thursday in Brooklyn. We will have to wait for a formal update from the team regarding his status going forward. Terrence Jones and Donatas Motiejunas would see major increases in minutes if Davis were to miss time. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:50 am
  • X-rays on Anthony Davis' hip are negative
X-rays taken on Anthony Davis' left hip came back negative.

Advice: The Pelicans are off until Thursday's game vs. the Nets and head coach Alvin Gentry is hopeful that Davis will be able to play. The big man is simply dealing with a bruise, but he had a noticeable limp and it's a little concerning that he needed X-rays in the first place. The Pelicans tend to be very careful with their franchise player, so he should be considered questionable for Thursday. Terrence Jones and Donatas Motiejunas should both be on your radar. Davis had a monster game vs. the Knicks before the injury, posting 40 points, 18 rebounds, two assists, three blocks and a triple. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:10 pm
  • Anthony Davis (hip) questionable to return
Anthony Davis (left hip injury) is questionable to return to Monday's game vs. the Knicks.

Advice: Kyle O'Quinn shoved Davis in the back during a layup attempt and Davis flew into the stands, injuring his hip in the process. Davis doesn't have a history with hip issues, and while he was able to take his free throws, he walked with a significant limp to the locker room. The Pelicans have built a comfortable lead, so we'd be shocked if Davis returned tonight. Rotoworld.com Monday, 6:16 pm
  • Report: ATL no longer shopping Paul Millsap
Atlanta GM Wes Wilcox has reportedly begun to inform teams that Paul Millsap is not for sale.

Advice: Millsap publicly proclaimed that it would be his preference to remain in Atlanta, so the Hawks are probably feeling pretty confident that they'll be able to retain him as a free agent, thus having no need to unload him this season. Millsap is still adapting to playing alongside Dwight Howard, and he's only been a fourth-round guy on the year so far, but as the chemistry continues to build in Atlanta he should be able to flirt with top-20 status. Rotoworld.com Monday, 2:04 pm
  • Clint Capela (knee) on track in his recovery
Clint Capela (knee) is on track to return to the court by mid-to-late January.

Advice: Capela is currently in Week-3 of his initial 4-6 week timetable, so if he meets the early end of the timetable we could see him back as soon as January 17, with the latest possible return date being January 31. With a punting free throws strategy, Capela was a top-50 asset in 9-cat leagues prior to going down, so he's worth stashing if he's a fit for your team and you can sustain the dead roster space. Once Capela gets back to the court, Montrezl Harrell will lose most of his value. Rotoworld.com Monday, 11:38 am
  • Jon Leuer (knee) has no structural damage
Jon Leuer has no ligament or cartilage damage to his right knee according to coach Stan Van Gundy.

Advice: That's all we know at this point, but it sounds like Leuer is simply dealing with some soreness. Leuer has actually slowed down since his move to the first unit, so he's a borderline hold in standard leagues if we learn that he will miss time. Tobias Harris would likely move back into the first unit if that's the case, even though SVG said he likes him coming off the bench. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 9:52 am

  • Joakim Noah says he's getting into a rhythm
Joakim Noah said that he's finally finding his form in New York.

Advice: "I feel like I'm playing better. I feel like I'm starting to get into a better rhythm," Noah said. "It's tough. This team is going through some adversity right now. This is when you find out who plays through it and who doesn't." Noah added that he feels healthy for the most part, but did say that his surgically-repaired shoulder is "always there." He's averaging 8.6 points, 11.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steal and 0.8 blocks over his last five games, but his ceiling isn't as high with Kristaps Porzingis healthy again. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 8:17 am
  • Tyler Zeller (illness) listed as out Tuesday
Tyler Zeller (illness) is listed as out for Tuesday's game vs. the Raptors.

Advice: He's expected to miss his fourth straight game. Zeller was out of the rotation before the illness, so his absence will not have a meaningful impact on the rotation. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 7:43 am

  • Andre Drummond w/ season-high 28 pts, 14 reb
Andre Drummond piled up 28 points, 14 rebounds, four steals and two blocks with just one turnover in 52 minutes of action vs. Portland on Sunday.

Advice: Drummond made 13-of-20 shots during the Pistons' clutch double-OT victory, and he even went 2-of-3 at the FT line tonight. He played just 25 minutes in Detroit's previous game but that was due strictly to foul trouble. He's scored 20+ points just nine times this season but three of those games are in January, so his owners are certainly enjoying a happy new year. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 10:29 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins picks up 11th tech vs. GSW
DeMarcus Cousins struggled with foul trouble on Sunday and played only 29 minutes, scoring 17 points with 10 boards, five assists, two steals, two blocks and seven turnovers.

Advice: Cousins flipped out after getting his third personal foul and wound up drawing a technical -- his 11 techs trail only Russell Westbrook this season, and he's five away from a mandatory one-game suspension. Other than that, fantasy owners have no grounds for complaint with his elite production in recent week. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 9:52 pm
  • Kevin Durant posts well-rounded line Sunday
Kevin Durant took some heat for a bad shot late in Friday's game, but he atoned on Sunday with 28 points on 9-of-15 FGs and 8-of-9 FTs, adding seven boards and six assists in a win vs. the Kings.

Advice: Durant also had one steal and four blocks in 36 minutes tonight. He's averaging 3.3 blocks in his previous three games and is over 700 blocks for his career, which reflects the versatility that makes him a fantasy luminary. He's been the No. 1 value in 9-cat leagues this season, edging out Giannis Antetokounmpo, James Harden, Anthony Davis and every other fantasy stud. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 9:51 pm
  • Jon Leuer (knee) won't return Sunday
Jon Leuer (sore right knee) will miss the remainder of Sunday's game against Portland.

Advice: He finished the night with one assist in six minutes. If he misses Tuesday's game against the Kings, Tobias Harris (who started the second half tonight) will likely move into the starting lineup. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 6:59 pm
    Injured

  • Ryan Anderson quiet in 129-122 road win
Ryan Anderson was quiet during Houston's 129-122 victory on Sunday, posting nine points (2-of-8 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs) with four boards and one steal in 32 minutes.

Advice: Houston was playing the second game in a back-to-back set, and Anderson didn't quite seem to have his legs under him tonight. He's only scored single-digit points in consecutive games once this season, back in early November, so expect him to bounce back vs. Charlotte on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 6:01 pm
  • Montrezl Harrell hits 12-of-13 FGs, scores 28
Montrezl Harrell was almost perfect on Sunday, making 12-of-13 field goals to finish with 28 points, five boards and one block in 26 bench minutes.

Advice: Harrell was decisive with the ball tonight and his confidence seemed to grow with every make, helping Houston earn a 34-23 advantage in the decisive fourth quarter. His minutes have been safe since Clint Capela fractured his fibula, and he's well worth owning as a productive big man -- after tonight's shooting display, he's shooting an impressive 64-of-93 (68.8 percent) in Houston's previous 10 games. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 6:00 pm
  • Marreese Speights scores 19 points in 14 mins
Marreese Speights was ultra-efficient on Sunday, going 6-of-8 from the field and 4-of-4 from the line on his way to 19 points, three 3-pointers, two boards, one assist, one block and one turnover.

Advice: Speights did all of his damage in a mere 14 minutes off the bench, and he's been a per-minute monster ever since Blake Griffin (knee) went down. Unfortunately, his playing time has been too sporadic to trust him in standard leagues, so he's just a low-end asset to own in deep leagues for those seeking some help in the 3-point department. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 4:21 pm
  • Willie Reed grabs 10 boards in 17 minutes
Willie Reed returned to the bench on Sunday, going 2-of-6 from the field on his way to four points, 10 rebounds, one steal, one block and one turnover in 17 minutes.

Advice: Hassan Whiteside (eye) logged 31 minutes as a starter, so it's going to be tough for Reed to be much of a factor in fantasy hoops operating as Whiteside's backup. You could justify handcuffing him to Whiteside, but Reed isn't worth owning in most scenarios while Hassan is healthy. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 3:44 pm
  • John Henson looks awful in 15 minutes
John Henson didn't do much of anything during his 15 minutes of playing time on Sunday, scoring two points on 1-of-3 shooting to go with one rebound, two assists, one steal and two turnovers.

Advice: Henson didn't even get a single blocked shot, and it's been tough for him to earn meaningful minutes lately with how well Greg Monroe has been playing. Over the past eight games, Henson's playing time has fallen to 19.2 minutes a night and he's been absolutely dreadful with averages of 5.0 points, 3.1 boards and just 0.8 blocks per contest. Henson was only worth owning as a shot blocking specialist, and with him not even doing that, he belongs on the waiver wire just about everywhere. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 2:41 pm
  • Montrezl Harrell will come off the bench Sun
Montrezl Harrell will return to the bench for Sunday's game against the Raptors, with Nene drawing the start.

Advice: Mike D'Antoni described the move as a matchup-based decision, but his minutes and production haven't fluctuated all that much whether he's starting or coming off the bench. Go ahead and get him active. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 1:14 pm
  • Nerlens Noel racks up three steals in 24 mins
Nerlens Noel finished Sunday's 105-93 win over the Nets with eight points, four boards and three steals in 24 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Noel has flashed his upside in limited minutes off the bench for the 76ers this season, and with per-36-minutes numbers of 20.0 points, 8.3 boards, 2.5 steals and 2.2 blocks per game, you can see why Noel is worthy of stashing in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 11:52 am
  • Willie Reed will come off the bench Sunday
Willie Reed will come off the bench on Sunday vs. the Clippers.

Advice: Hassan Whiteside (eye) will be returning from a four-game absence, but Reed won't be completely irrelevant because the Heat are going to ease him back into action. Reed averaged 13.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.0 blocks in four starts, so Whiteside's owners in deeper leagues should consider owning him as a handcuff. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 6:20 am
  • Darrell Arthur scores 10 points in 24 minutes
Darrell Arthur scored 10 points in a start against the Thunder on Saturday with four rebounds, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes.

Advice: With Kenneth Faried playing the five and Wilson Chandler sliding over in some bigger lineups, Arthur had a terrific chance at minutes for this game. He will likely see a decrease in playing time once Nikola Jokic (illness) is healthy again. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 7:58 pm
  • Darrell Arthur in the starting lineup vs. OKC
Darrell Arthur will start at power forward against the Thunder on Saturday.

Advice: That means Kenneth Faried should be playing most of his minutes at the center spot because Wilson Chandler will play almost all four. Arthur is likely only looking at around 15-20 minutes tonight, so he's not a great fantasy option. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 4:51 pm
  • Darrell Arthur will play on Saturday
Darrell Arthur (knee) is available to play on Saturday against the Thunder.

Advice: The Nuggets put him on the injury report basically every game, so he should be good considered close to 100 percent. With Nikola Jokic (illness) out, Arthur could get minutes in the low 20s. He's hurt too often to be owned in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 3:02 pm
  • Nikola Jokic will not play on Saturday night
Nikola Jokic (illness) will not play against the Thunder on Saturday.

Advice: He was questionable and will miss his first game since Dec. 5. Jokic has been wonderful in 2017, averaging 19.3 points, 10.3 boards, 5.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 27.0 minutes per game. With him out, Jusuf Nurkic will get his best opportunity all season and is worth a look in standard leagues. We should see more Kenneth Faried and Darrell Arthur, as well. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 2:57 pm
  • Tyler Zeller (illness) will not play Saturday
Tyler Zeller (illness) will not play against the Pelicans on Saturday.

Advice: Zeller has missed three straight games but had played only sporadic minutes even when healthy. Over the 10 games in December in which he played, Zeller averaged just 1.3 points and 0.9 rebounds in 6.4 minutes. He has no fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 9:54 am
    Injured

  • Nikola Jokic (illness) is a GTD on Saturday
Nikola Jokic (illness) is a game-time decision for Saturday's contest vs. OKC.

Advice: Jokic has been playing extremely well of late. He is averaging 20.5 points (on 61.3 percent shooting), 9.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists over the Nuggets last six games. If Jokic can't play on Saturday, Jusuf Nurkic, Kenneth Faried and Darrell Arthur will see an increase in playing time. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 9:34 am
  • Willie Reed may get bumped to bench on Sunday
Coach Eric Spoelstra was non-committal when asked about who he would start at center on Sunday vs. the Clippers.

Advice: Willie Reed (22 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 32 minutes) played extremely well on Friday in place of Hassan Whiteside (eye). However, Whiteside is hopeful he will be healthy enough to return to action on Sunday. "There's been so many moving parts with this team, everything is open," Spo said. Still, if Whiteside is able to play, it is safe to assume he'll draw the start. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 8:56 am
  • Kevin Durant folds late, scores 27
Kevin Durant scored 27 points with 13 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and four turnovers in 43 minutes against the Grizzlies on Friday.

Advice: The Grizzlies were aggressive in attacking KD on defense and he also had some missed free throws late in the game. He didn't make any field goals in the fourth quarter or overtime in his 16.5 minutes of action. While the stat line was nice, this may have been Durant's worst game as a Warrior despite getting to the line 18 times. Expect a big game on Sunday in Sacramento. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 11:08 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins fills it up in a loss
DeMarcus Cousins scored 25 points during a 106-98 loss to the Clippers on Friday, adding 11 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, two blocks and three 3-pointers.

Advice: His increased assists have been a trend lately, averaging 6.2 per game over his last five. Cousins has been a little down in the scoring over that span, averaging 24.6 points, 7.0 boards, 2.4 steals and 1.8 treys in that span. He's a complete beast. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 10:34 pm
  • Free Willie: Reed scores 22 w/ 12 rebounds
Willie Reed scored 22 points (10-of-15 FGs, 2-of-5 FTs) with 12 rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 32 minutes against the Lakers on Friday.

Advice: He averaged 10.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.7 blocks and 0.7 steals in his three previous starts, but his two monster games came against the Suns and Lakers and he posted two duds against the Kings and Pistons. Hassan Whiteside (eye) is traveling with the Heat again and could return as soon as Thursday's game vs. the Clippers, so Reed is just a short-term option until Whiteside is cleared. With that said, Reed could emerge down the stretch with the Heat clearly tanking. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 10:05 pm
