    • Aaron Gordon struggles in Game 7 loss to Minnesota
      Aaron Gordon shot 2-of-5 from the field in Sunday’s 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves, accumulating four points, four rebounds, two assists, and one blocked shot in 42 minutes.

      Advice: A standout for most of this series, Gordon picked a terrible time to struggle. He didn’t offer much value in Game 7, with Denver’s “supporting cast” being outplayed by Minnesota after leading by 20 in the second half. Game 7 was the first Gordon failed to reach double figures since Game 1 when he tallied nine in another defeat. As for his season overall, AG finished the regular season ranked just inside the top 150 in 9-cat, per-game value. That wasn’t on par with his Yahoo ADP (118.4), but the late-round production is unsurprising. Fantasy managers should expect similar value from Gordon in 2024-25. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:23 pm

      Gordon recorded 12 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and three blocks in 28 minutes during Thursday's 115-70 loss to Minnesota in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

      Advice: The entire Nuggets offense struggled in this game, as shown by the fact the team shot 30.2 percent from the field and 19.4 percent from three-point range in this Game 6 loss. Despite the collective struggles, Gordon found a way to make an impact with his two-way play, and he was also one of just three Denver players who scored in double digits in this loss. Gordon has been arguably the second-best player for Denver in this series, and he'll aim to deliver another strong showing in Game 7 at home on Sunday. Rotowire.com Thursday, 9:00 pm

      Aaron Gordon amassed 12 points (4-of-7 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs) with eight rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and a pair of 3-pointers in 28 minutes.

      Advice: Gordon surprisingly only trailed Nikola Jokic in points among Nuggets players and did a little bit of everything. He was efficient on offense and disruptive on defense in the Nuggets’ big loss while many of his teammates struggled. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:21 pm
       
    • Darius Garland struggles in season-ending defeat
      Darius Garland accounted for 11 points (4-of-17 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), nine assists, and two steals in 43 minutes in Wednesday’s 113-98 loss to the Celtics.

      Advice: Boston eliminated Cleveland in five games, an unsurprising outcome given the Cavaliers’ many injuries. What was incredibly disappointing about Game 5 was Garland’s performance. After scoring 30 points and dishing out seven assists in Game 4, he shot 4-of-17 from the field and missed all four of his 3-point attempts. As with Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley, injuries were a significant factor for Garland, as he was limited to 57 regular-season games. While his value in 8-cat formats wasn’t far from his Yahoo ADP (40.3), he failed to crack the top 100 in 9-cat. Selecting Garland within the top 50 of standard league drafts wouldn’t be a bad idea, but fantasy managers can’t be blamed if they decide to look elsewhere next fall.       Advice: The Cavaliers face long odds to extend their season, as Allen is one of three rotation players ruled out for Game 5. Donovan Mitchell and Caris LeVert are also out for Wednesday’s game.       Advice: Gordon recorded his first double-double of the series on Tuesday, supplementing the Herculean efforts of Nikola Jokic to help the Nuggets take a 3-2 series lead. While he missed his lone 3-point attempt, AG has been a credible shooter from beyond the arc and the foul line. Counting Tuesday’s numbers, Gordon is shooting 8-of-13 from three and 9-of-12 from the charity stripe. During the regular season, he shot 29% from three and 65.8% from the foul line, so the production in this series has been a departure from the norm.
