    • Staying with Clippers for 2024-25
Tucker announced Friday that he is exercising his $11.54 million player option for the 2024-25 season, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Advice: Tucker was traded from the 76ers to the Clippers during the 2023-24 campaign. With Los Angeles, Tucker made 28 appearances, including seven starts, and averaged 1.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 15.0 minutes. While the veteran forward is unlikely to receive a large role for the Clippers next season, he is set to stick around for at least one more year. Rotowire.com Today, 1:19 pm
    • Shams: P.J. Tucker exercises play option
P.J. Tucker has exercised his $11.5 million player option to remain with the Clippers, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Advice: Tucker was never going to get a better offer from another team, so it isn’t surprising that he picked up this option. It wouldn’t be shocking if they used his contract as trade filler, but regardless of where Tucker suits up, he won’t impact fantasy hoops. Rotoworld Today, 1:18 pm
    • Team option picked up
The Pelicans are picking up Robinson-Earl's $2.2 million team option for 2024-25, Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported Friday.

Advice: After two campaigns in Oklahoma City, Robinson-Earl joined the Pelicans last season and made 39 regular-season appearances (one start). He averaged 2.9 points and 1.9 rebounds in 8.6 minutes per game. Robinson-Earl will presumably be an end-of-bench frontcourt option again next season. Rotowire.com Today, 9:43 am
    • Declining option, may re-sign
Okogie plans to decline his $2.95 million player option and enter unrestricted free agency, Michael Scotto of USA Today reported Friday, but the forward could re-sign with Phoenix for more than the veteran minimum, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: Evan Sidery of Forbes Sports reported Okogie planned to exercise his option and remain with the Suns, but Bourguet relays the Suns want to re-sign Okogie to a slightly larger deal. However, Phoenix's top priority this offseason is retaining Royce O'Neale. Okogie had a reduced role for Phoenix during the 2023-24 campaign, averaging 4.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 16.0 minutes across 60 regular-season appearances. The 25-year-old finished the season without a spot in former coach Frank Vogel's rotation, but Okogie could re-establish himself under new coach Mike Budenholzer if he does re-sign with Phoenix. • Traded to Dallas
The Pistons traded Grimes (knee) to the Mavericks on Friday in exchange for Tim Hardaway and three second-round picks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Advice: Grimes was traded from New York to Detroit in February, but he made just six appearances with his new team after being shut down due to a right knee injury. Over 51 total appearances during the regular season last year, he averaged 7.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 20.1 minutes per game. He'll attempt to carve out a role off the bench in Dallas after the team cleared some cap space by trading Hardaway. However, Grimes could struggle to be a consistent contributor for last year's Western Conference champions. Rotowire.com Today, 7:22 am
    • Tim Hardaway Jr. dealt to DET for picks, Grimes
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Tim Hardaway Jr. has been traded to the Detroit Pistons for three second-round picks and Quentin Grimes.

Advice: Fellow ESPN reporter Tim MacMahon notes that moving Hardaway Jr. clears up space needed to sign Derrick Jones Jr., which was a priority for the Mavs’ front office. Hardaway Jr. is unlikely to see a major shift in fantasy value with his new team. He’ll be a three-point specialist who offers little else in the box score. Grimes could be a rotational option in Dallas, but he’s off the radar outside the deepest of fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Today, 7:21 am
    • Sent to Detroit
The Mavericks traded Hardaway and three second-round picks to the Pistons on Friday in exchange for Quentin Grimes, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Advice: Hardaway was a consistent contributor for Dallas over the past five seasons, and he maintained his production during the 2023-24 campaign despite coming off the bench in most appearances. Over 79 regular-season appearances last year, he averaged 14.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in 26.8 minutes per game, but his role decreased once the playoffs began. Hardaway should be able to carve out a decent role on the wing with the Pistons after Dallas elected to move on from him, largely to clear some cap space. Rotowire.com Today, 7:15 am
    • Exercising player option
Okogie plans to exercise his $2.96 million player for the 2024-25 season to remain with the Suns, Evan Sidery of Forbes Sports reports.

Advice: Okogie had a reduced role for Phoenix during the 2023-24 campaign, averaging 4.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 16.0 minutes in 60 games. The 25-year-old finished the season without a spot in former coach Frank Vogel's rotation, but Okogie could re-establish himself under new coach Mike Budenholzer. Rotowire.com Today, 6:59 am
    • Jalen McDaniels dealt to SAC in multi-player deal
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Jalen McDaniels was traded to the Kings for Sasha Vezenkov, Davion Mitchell and the 45th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Advice: McDaniels logged just 10.8 minutes across 50 games for Toronto last season, but there’s a chance he will see an uptick in playing time for his new team as Keegan Murray’s primary backup at PF. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:35 pm
