  • Nets assign Chris McCullough to D-League
Chris McCullough has been assigned to Long Island Nets for their game tomorrow night in Canton, Ohio.

Advice: This means McCullough won't be available for Brooklyn's game vs. the Bucks on Saturday. He is not on the fantasy radar in standard leagues. Today, 10:24 am
  • Ian Mahinmi (knee) will not play Friday
Ian Mahinmi (knee) will not play Friday night vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Mahinmi has appeared in just one game this season and holds no fantasy value. Jason Smith should see a few additional minutes. Today, 10:03 am
  • Doug McDermott (concussion) out Fri. and Sat.
Doug McDermott (concussion) has been ruled out for Friday night vs. the Cavs and Saturday night in Dallas.

Advice: The Bulls are hopeful McDermott will be cleared for contact on Friday. However, coach Fred Hoiberg wants to see him get a couple workouts in before being cleared for a game. Isaiah Canaan and Nikola Mirotic have been the biggest beneficiaries of McDermott's absence and should continue to see increased workloads this weekend. Today, 9:21 am
  • Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will not play Friday
Jerryd Bayless (left wrist soreness) will not play Friday vs. Orlando and is questionable for Saturday vs. Boston.

Advice: Bayless had platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment on his wrist earlier this week and is not yet ready for game action. Sergio Rodriguez will likely start in his place on Friday, with T.J. McConnell as the first point guard off the bench. Rodriguez has averaged 8.2 points, 7.0 assists and 3.1 rebounds in the 17 games he has started this season. Today, 8:28 am
  • Roy Hibbert finally feeling healthy
Roy Hibbert's knees are finally close to 100% for the first time since the start of the season.

Advice: The last month has been a struggle for Hibbert since his right knee swelled up between the first and second games this season. Hibbert missed five games with that injury, but the effects stretched well beyond that span. However, he is finally playing close to pain-free. On Thursday, he had 11 points, four rebounds and two blocks in 17 minutes. However, he is still not worth rostering in standard leagues. Today, 7:03 am
  • Andre Iguodala gets 42 minutes
Andre Iguodala scored 10 points in 42 minutes against the Rockets on Thursday with four rebounds, five assists and two 3-pointers.

Advice: They went with the Mega Death lineup a lot in this loss. Before Thursday, coach Steve Kerr used that lineup for 5.3 minutes in 15 games, but that lineup was used for 15.8 minutes tonight. Iguodala's minutes won't be this high too often and he's barely clinging to top-150 value for standard leagues. Expect Iggy to get a night off at some point, too. Yesterday, 11:58 pm
  • Sam Dekker gets 26 minutes vs. Warriors
Sam Dekker played 26 minutes against the Warriors on Thursday with 11 points, eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He played a team-high 11.9 minutes in the fourth quarter and saw 4.8 minutes in the two overtime frames, so clearly coach Mike D'Antoni trusts Dekker with important minutes. Dekker is coming off a 27-minute game against the Jazz, but some of that is due to garbage time. That said, he does appear to be a guy who could be close to 20 minutes per night. With how many treys the Rockets take and the tempo leading to some steals, Dekker is on the radar in deeper leagues. Yesterday, 11:40 pm
  • Montrezl Harrell looks great vs. Warriors
Montrezl Harrell was terrific in 25 minutes against the Warriors on Thursday, scoring 13 points with 10 rebounds, one assist and one block.

Advice: The Rockets went away from Clint Capela due to some missed free throws and Harrell just ran with his playing time. Nene (rest) did not play in this game, which gave Harrell the opportunity in the first place. Harrell did get most of the center run in overtime and did have a nice preseason, but Capela's extremely solid play before tonight should give him plenty of leash. Harrell is only a speculative pickup in deep leagues. Yesterday, 11:28 pm
  • Zaza Pachulia gets just eight minutes
Zaza Pachulia played just eight minutes against the Rockets on Thursday, finishing with two points, three rebounds, one assist and one block

Advice: The Warriors just went with a small-ball fest in this game with a ton of Draymond Green at the five. Pachulia has seen his playing time slide and his injury history suggests the Warriors won't be giving him a bump in playing time the rest of the year while they're somewhat healthy. Yesterday, 11:20 pm
  • Tony Allen scores nine in 27 minutes
Tony Allen scored nine points with six rebounds, three steals and one turnover in 27 minutes during Thursday's win over the Magic.

Advice: While the Grandfather wasn't yelling "First Team All Defense" tonight, he was just terrific on that end late in the game. He had his three steals all come in the final 6:12 to help get the Grizzlies going. Allen has stepped up with more playing time because of the all the injuries. He even said the Grizzlies were "a makeshift team" in his post-game interview. He will likely be managed later in the season, but he could be a steals specialist for some owners. Yesterday, 10:16 pm
  • Jarell Martin gets 28 minutes off the bench
Jarell Martin played 28 minutes off the bench against the Magic on Thursday with six points, 10 rebounds and no turnovers.

Advice: The Grizzlies even used him at small forward during this game due to their lack of depth at that spot. Martin also closed this game out with some solid defense against the Magic bigs. Zach Randolph (personal) could miss additional time, so Martin may have value a little while longer. Yesterday, 10:07 pm
  • Troy Daniels scores 19 points vs. Magic
Troy Daniels matched a season-high 19 points in 29 minutes against the Magic on Thursday, adding two rebounds, one assist and three 3-pointers.

Advice: On the heels of a 19-point Wednesday, this is the best two-game run of his career and the first time he's had consecutive games with at least 16 points. Daniels had his best game on defense, closed this one out, and clearly impressed his coach. "Whenever he’s out there, I’m going to use the heck out of him to get shots," coach Fizdale said. Fizdale also asked Daniels what color green light he should have when he gets to let it fly and Daniels said "money green." He may have some short-term value and is worth a look in deep leagues for owners needing treys. Yesterday, 9:51 pm
  • Joe Ingles brings spark off bench
Joe Ingles scored 15 points in Thursday night’s loss to the Heat, adding four rebounds and four assists.

Advice: Ingles played 22 minutes off the bench, but ignited the offense with three 3-pointers and played the entire fourth quarter. It was the most minutes that he has played since Nov. 14 and only the third time this season he has played 22 or more minutes. Once the Jazz gets healthier, Ingles will see his role diminish. Yesterday, 9:38 pm
  • Jeff Green scores 14 points in loss
Jeff Green came off the bench to hit 5-of-8 shots for 14 points, two rebounds and a steal in 27 minutes of Thursday's tough loss to the Grizzlies.

Advice: Starter Aaron Gordon played just 21 minutes, and while Green hasn't really done much to be owned in fantasy leagues, he's doing a fantastic job of ruining the fantasy value of Gordon. Green could easily replace Gordon in the starting lineup again at any time, but he's come off the bench in two straight since returning from a back injury. Gordon is still the guy to own, but Green is making him a less-than-effective fantasy player right now. Yesterday, 9:35 pm
  • D.J. Augustin fizzles in 19 minutes
D.J. Augustin played just 19 minutes on Thursday, hitting 2-of-6 shots and two 3-pointers for seven points, two assists and a steal.

Advice: Yuck. He started, but Elfrid Payton played 29 minutes off the bench. DJA had been playing pretty well and the reliance on Payton in the fourth quarter cost the Magic tonight, as they blew a 14-point lead and Payton gave up a late steal to JaMychal Green to seal their fate. And given how this one ended, new owners of DJA should probably hang on for another game to see if he starts and how much he plays, as Payton may be back in the doghouse. Unless you can pick up Andrew Harrison. Yesterday, 9:26 pm
  • Joe Ingles coming off the bench
Updating a previous item, Joe Ingles will come off the bench on Thursday against the Heat.

Advice: He should still get solid minutes, especially with how frequently the Heat go small. Ingles isn't quite as appealing as Joe Johnson, but he's in the mix for owners in deep leagues. Yesterday, 5:37 pm
  • Joe Ingles likely to start for Rodney Hood
Joe Ingles is likely to start for Rodney Hood (hamstring) against the Heat on Thursday.

Advice: It makes sense to keep the second unit together and bring Joe Johnson off the bench. Ingles actually exploded in his only start this year, scoring 20.0 points in 33 minutes. With the Jazz very thin on the outside, both Joe and Jingles should be getting big minutes. Yesterday, 4:11 pm
  • DJA, Fournier, Gordon, Serge & Biz starting
D.J. Augustin, Evan Fournier, Aaron Gordon, Serge Ibaka and Bismack Biyombo will start against the Grizzlies on Thursday.

Advice: The Magic will stick with the same lineup. They had some success with it against the Spurs on Tuesday with Augustin and Elfrid Payton basically splitting the point guard minutes down the middle -- DJA played 25 minutes and Payton played 23. Augustin is worth a look for owners needing a point guard, but his ceiling isn't great. Yesterday, 3:48 pm
  • Nets recall their young guys
The Nets have recalled Yogi Ferrell and Chris McCullough from Long Island and they are available to play against the Bucks on Thursday.

Advice: Both players saw action for Long Island on Thursday with McCullough scoring 20 points and Ferrell scoring 18. They could get minutes if this game gets to garbage time. Yesterday, 2:53 pm
  • Ian Mahinmi gets treatment on Thursday
Ian Mahinmi (right knee) received treatment on Thursday.

Advice: He had surgery on his left knee, so it's not an aggravation to his knee. Considering the Wizards aren't too thin, they may want to bring Mahinmi along slowly. Yesterday, 12:07 pm
  • Doug McDermott out for Friday night
Doug McDermott (concussion) will not play against the Cavs on Friday.

Advice: There's not much of an update here. McDermott has still not been cleared for contact and doesn't have a target date. Isaiah Canaan has been the most consistent bench perimeter guy while Nikola Mirotic has seen some bright spots. Hopefully, McDermott can make it back next week. Yesterday, 11:46 am
  • Jerryd Bayless (wrist) is now questionable
Updating a previous item, Jerryd Bayless (wrist) is questionable to face the Magic on Friday.

Advice: Bayless was previously reported as out, but that was off the game notes. He had PRP treatment on his wrist recently and had been battling soreness basically since his return to action last week. If he is limited or out, Sergio Rodriguez would get a nice bump in playing time with T.J. McConnell backing him up. Fantasy owners may want to take a wait-and-see approach on Bayless unless the wire is dry. Yesterday, 11:00 am
  • Jerryd Bayless will not play on Fri vs Magic
Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will miss Friday's game against the Magic.

Advice: Bayless had platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment on his wrist and will need some time to recover. We'll consider him day-to-day moving forward, but Sergio Rodriguez and T.J. McConnell will continue to see more minutes on Friday. Bayless can be left on waivers in standard fantasy leagues at this point. Yesterday, 8:52 am
  • Troy Daniels scores 19 points in loss to TOR
Troy Daniels came off the Grizzlies' bench to score 19 points in a loss on Wednesday, making 6-of-12 FGs and 3-of-3 FTs with four 3-pointers, one rebound, one assist and one steal.

Advice: Vince Carter was out tonight with a hip injury, joining a pile of injured Grizzlies that includes Mike Conley, Chandler Parsons, James Ennis and Brandan Wright. The result was 21 minutes for Daniels, who made the most of the opportunity. Most fantasy owners can take a wait-and-see approach here, especially while Carter is day-to-day. Wednesday, 8:15 pm
  • Jerryd Bayless (wrist) gets PRP treatment
Jerryd Bayless (wrist) said he had platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment on his wrist.

Advice: He'll need some time to recover from the treatment, so it would appear Bayless is going to miss some games -- we'll call him day-to-day for now. While he's out, Sergio Rodriguez will continue to start with T.J. McConnell backing him up. Bayless looked like he was going to get big minutes, but it's tough to stash him with some many wrist problems. Wednesday, 3:45 pm
  • Ian Mahinmi (knee) out against the Thunder
Ian Mahinmi (right knee) will not play against the Thunder on Wednesday.

Advice: He did not go through shootaround and the Wizards will just be safe with Mahinmi. He had surgery on left knee, so this is something different. There will be a couple extra minutes for Jason Smith tonight. Wednesday, 3:35 pm
  • Doug McDermott (concussion) out Wednesday
Doug McDermott (concussion) will not suit up for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, as expected.

Advice: "Every case is individualized," Fred Hoiberg said. "You look at it based on what their symptoms are, and Doug, unfortunately has two of them in this early portion of the season, so he’s just not ready yet." He's yet to be cleared for contact, so for now, we'll be considering him doubtful for Chicago's upcoming back-to-back set Friday vs. Cleveland and Saturday vs. Dallas. Wednesday, 11:00 am
  • Ian Mahinmi (knee) questionable for Wednesday
Ian Mahinmi (right knee) did not participate during shootaround, and he is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Thunder.

Advice: Mahinmi was also limited during Tuesday's practice, so he's probably much closer to doubtful for tonight's game. He's not worth owning anywhere, and his absence will have a negligible impact in fantasy hoops. Wednesday, 10:29 am
  • Jerryd Bayless (wrist) out Wednesday vs. SAC
Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will not play Wednesday vs. the Kings.

Advice: Wednesday will mark Bayless' third straight game on the sidelines, and after aggravating his wrist injury just three games into his previous return, the 76ers will likely be extra cautious this second time around. For now, we'll consider him questionable for Friday's game against the Magic. Sergio Rodriguez will continue to start in his absence. Wednesday, 8:46 am
  • Jeff Green (sore lower back) plays 25 minutes
Jeff Green (sore lower back) returned to action on Tuesday vs. the Spurs, scoring six points on 3-of-10 shooting with three rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes.

Advice: He came off the bench behind Aaron Gordon and we'd be a little surprised if he moved back into the starting five. Green was shooting 29.6 percent from the field prior to Tuesday and is having a tough year in Orlando. He belongs on the waiver wire. Tuesday, 8:56 pm
  • D.J. Augustin plays 25 minutes in start
D.J. Augustin scored seven points with five assists, four rebounds, two steals, one triple and one turnover in 25 minutes in Tuesday's win over the Spurs.

Advice: Making his second straight start for the Magic, Augustin shot 2-of-6 from the field and closed out the game over Elfrid Payton (ankle). Payton could actually end up missing time even though X-rays were negative, so Augustin is on the radar as a sneaky pickup for owners in need of a PG. Tuesday, 8:40 pm
  • Chris McCullough recalled from the D-League
Chris McCullough has been recalled from the D-League.

Advice: He may play limited minutes off the bench tonight, but not enough to matter in any setting. Tuesday, 3:00 pm
  • Jerryd Bayless (wrist) not on injury report
Jerryd Bayless (wrist) is not listed on the injury report for Monday's game against Sacramento.

Advice: This could just be a clerical error, so we're still going to consider him questionable for Wednesday's game until we have something more definitive. Given that Bayless aggravated his injury after just three games, he'll likely be eased back into things this second time around, meaning he won't be in the standard league equation for a while. His eventual return will hurt Sergio Rodriguez the most. Tuesday, 1:16 pm
  • D.J. Augustin starting again Tuesday vs. SA
D.J. Augustin will remain in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Spurs.

Advice: Augustin started on Sunday, but only played 25 minutes on his way to 11 points, five assists, one 3-pointer and two boards while Elfrid Payton logged 29 minutes off the bench and put up 16 points, three boards, three dimes, one triple, one steal and three turnovers. This is starting to feel like a value killing timeshare situation, and while DJA can bury those triples, his lack of contributions on the defensive end keeps him out of the standard league equation. Evan Fournier, Aaron Gordon, Serge Ibaka and Bismack Biyombo will join Augustin in the starting five for tonight's game. Tuesday, 11:30 am
  • Doug McDermott (concussion) not yet cleared
Doug McDermott (concussion) has not yet been cleared for full-contact practice, so it appears he will miss Wednesday's game vs. the Lakers.

Advice: McDermott has to be symptom-free and pass all required tests in order to progress through the league-mandated concussion protocol. He has missed six straight games, but appears to at least be headed in the right direction. Tuesday, 11:14 am
  • Ian Mahinmi (knee) does not practice Tuesday
Ian Mahinmi (sore right knee) did some individual work on the side but did not practice with the team on Tuesday.

Advice: Mahinmi seems questionable at best for Wednesday night's game in OKC. He has played just 14 minutes this entire season, so this won't have significant fantasy implications, either way. Tuesday, 10:34 am
  • Jeff Green (back) will play Tuesday
Jeff Green (sore lower back) will play Tuesday in San Antonio, but he will come off the bench according to coach Frank Vogel.

Advice: Green has been a major disappointment this season in Orlando. He hasn't scored more than 11 points in three weeks. Over the Magic's last 10 games, eight of which he started, Green is averaging just 6.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists, while shooting a frigid 29.6 percent from the floor; including 17.9 percent from 3-point territory. Tuesday, 10:29 am
  • Andre Iguodala scores 12 points in win
Andre Iguodala scored a season-high 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting against the Hawks on Monday.

Advice: He led all players with a +18 rating and added five rebounds, five assists, one block and two treys with zero turnovers in 28 minutes. As good he was on Monday, Iguodala was averaging just 5.2 points per game prior to tonight and the addition of Kevin Durant to the Warriors has shattered his path to fantasy value. Monday, 10:27 pm
  • Jarell Martin records first double-double
Jarell Martin double-doubled with 11 points, 12 rebounds and one triple in 20 minutes against the Hornets on Monday.

Advice: This was his first career double-double and he picked up a few extra minutes in garbage time. Martin has entered the rotation with Zach Randolph (personal) away from the team, so his recent production isn't sustainable. Monday, 8:20 pm
  • Jerryd Bayless (wrist) out Monday vs. Toronto
Jerryd Bayless (wrist) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Raptors.

Advice: Bayless didn't even travel with the team, but the 76ers will be returning to Philly for a four-game home stand on Wednesday, so him not traveling doesn't necessarily mean much. Sergio Rodriguez will be running with the first unit for however long Bayless is out, and he's worth owning as an assists specialist. Monday, 3:05 pm
  • Ian Mahinmi (knee) out Monday vs. Sacramento
Ian Mahinmi (sore right knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Kings.

Advice: Mahinmi made his regular-season debut on Saturday, logging 14 minutes off the bench, and the positive here would be that this is Mahinmi's good knee. He'll miss Monday's game, and his minutes will likely be divvied up between Jason Smith and Andrew Nicholson, but none of these guys matter in most leagues. For now, we'll consider Mahinmi questionable for Wednesday's game in OKC. Monday, 2:29 pm
  • Chris McCullough sent down for D-League stint
Chris McCullough has been sent down for a D-League stint.

Advice: Unless your league rewards D-League call-ups and send-downs, McCullough isn't worth owning. Monday, 11:31 am
  • Vogel hopeful Green (back) can play Tuesday
Frank Vogel is hopeful that Jeff Green (sore lower back) will be ready for Tuesday's game against the Spurs.

Advice: Vogel gave Green the day off during Monday's practice in order to help rest up his back, and given that he's simply dealing with a sore back, it seems there's a decent chance he'll be able to return to the court on Tuesday night. Green will more than likely resume his spot in Orlando's starting five, a move that would send Aaron Gordon (who went scoreless on Sunday) back to the bench. Check back for another update on Green following Tuesday morning's shootaround. Monday, 11:22 am
  • Doug McDermott cleared for non-contact work
Doug McDermott (concussion) has been cleared for non-contact work and shooting.

Advice: He's been out for a few weeks and still doesn't have a clear return date, but this is a step in the right direction. Prior to going down, McDermott was averaging 10.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.9 triples in 23.7 minutes per game, so he's only worth stashing in deeper leagues. Monday, 10:57 am
  • D.J. Augustin fares well as starter on Sunday
D.J. Augustin started at PG vs. the Bucks on Sunday and posted 11 points, five assists and two rebounds in 25 minutes, making 5-of-7 shots with one 3-pointer.

Advice: The veteran came in averaging 19.1 minutes per game and it's anyone's guess how long he'll keep the starting job ahead of Elfrid Payton. He was shooting below 40 percent on the season, with negligible rebounds or defensive stats, so he's just a speculative add in deeper leagues. Sunday, 6:58 pm
  • D.J. Augustin starting, Payton to the bench
D.J. Augustin will move into the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Bucks, sending Elfrid Payton to the bench.

Advice: Augustin has played well in limited minutes this season, while Payton has really struggled as a starter, and it's not clear if this is a matchup based decision or if Frank Vogel is ready to give the reins to DJA. Either way, Augustin could be viewed as a streamer option or DFS punt play tonight, while Payton can't be considered in daily leagues. Sunday, 2:22 pm
  • Jeff Green (sore back) ruled out for Sunday
Jeff Green (sore lower back) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bucks.

Advice: Green said that his back has been bothering him for the past few games, so it sounds like there's a chance he could miss Tuesday's game in San Antonio as well. His absence from tonight's game will likely result in Aaron Gordon returning to the starting five and flirting with around 30 minutes. It's not the best matchup for Gordon, but his numbers will assuredly be better as a starter, so owners shouldn't hesitate to get him active. Sunday, 2:00 pm
  • Green, Watson questionable Sunday vs. MIL
Jeff Green (sore lower back) and C.J. Watson (illness) are questionable to play Sunday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: Green has been starting for the Magic, but if he's out tonight, that'll more than likely result in Aaron Gordon seeing a significant boost in value with the return to the starting lineup. Watson isn't a major part of the rotation, but if he's out, D.J. Augustin would likely pickup most of his minutes. Stay tuned. Sunday, 1:32 pm
  • McCullough, Bennett available Sunday vs. SAC
Chris McCullough and Anthony Bennett will be available to play Sunday vs. the Kings.

Advice: Both guys played in the D-League today, so they could be in for some double duty tonight. Neither guy is a significant part of the rotation. Sunday, 1:28 pm
  • Jerryd Bayless (wrist) questionable Monday
Jerryd Bayless (left wrist) is being listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Raptors.

Advice: He's traveling with the team, which is a good sign, but he could be headed for a game-time call as team's typically skip shootaround on the second day of a back-to-back set. If he's back, Sergio Rodriguez would likely return to the bench, but when both those guys are healthy, neither one is worth owning in standard leagues. Sunday, 12:58 pm
  • Jerryd Bayless (wrist) ruled out Sunday
Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will not play Sunday vs. the Cavaliers.

Advice: He aggravated his wrist against the Bulls on Friday and is dealing with some soreness, and it's not a surprise to see him ruled out after he was downgraded from probable to questionable. With Bayless out, Sergio Rodriguez could move into the starting lineup and is worth a look for any owner needing assists. Sunday, 9:36 am
  • Jerryd Bayless (wrist) is questionable Sunday
Jerryd Bayless (wrist) is questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Cavaliers.

Advice: He said on Saturday that he still has some soreness in his wrist and he was downgraded from probable to questionable. Bayless will likely test out his wrist in the pre-game warmups, so he's shaping up to be a game-time call. Sergio Rodriguez would be a nice streaming option for owners in need of assists if Bayless sits. Sunday, 8:27 am
  • Chris McCullough assigned to D-League
Chris McCullough has been assigned to the D-League.

Advice: He's not in the rotation right now, but that likely changes in a few months when the Nets are out of the playoff race. Sunday, 7:46 am
  • Troy Daniels was a DNP-CD
Troy Daniels was a DNP-CD against the Heat on Saturday.

Advice: He is likely going to remain out of the rotation unless the Grizzlies need threes in bunches. Daniels can be dropped almost everywhere. Saturday, 9:29 pm
  • Ian Mahinmi makes his season debut
Ian Mahinmi played 14 minutes against the Spurs on Saturday with one rebound, one steal, one block and two turnovers.

Advice: The rust was apparent for his first game of the season. Mahinmi was not moving very well out there and looked tired out there. He could get close to 20 minutes than this, but the Wizards will keep his playing time down as long as Marcin Gortat is healthy. He's only a desperation handcuff in deep leagues. Saturday, 6:24 pm
  • Troy Daniels available to play vs. Heat
Troy Daniels (groin) is available to play against the Heat on Saturday.

Advice: We'll see what available to play means here, but Daniels isn't a lock to start. He had a bad game on Friday while Troy Williams had some productive minutes. We'll be looking for Memphis' starting lineup and post it ASAP. Saturday, 4:11 pm
  • Ian Mahinmi (knee) will make season debut
Ian Mahinmi (knee) will his make season debut against the Spurs on Saturday.

Advice: He has been doing some 4-on-4 work since last week, but he will have his minutes monitored for tonight. While the Wizards paid up to get Mahinmi, he shouldn't affect Marcin Gortat too much. Mahinmi is only worth a look in deep leagues. Saturday, 2:22 pm
  • Troy Daniels questionable for Saturday
Troy Daniels (left groin) is questionable to play against the Heat on Saturday.

Advice: He started for the second time in a row on Friday, but it did not go well in his 19 minutes. If Daniels doesn't play, Troy Williams would be a good bet to start while Andrew Harrison could wind up getting 40 minutes tonight. Daniels has no fantasy value right now. Saturday, 11:04 am
  • Jarell Martin gets 12 boards off bench
Jarell Martin scored six points with 12 rebounds and one block in 18 minutes against the Heat on Friday.

Advice: He looks like the next man in the bench big-man pecking order while Zach Randolph (personal) is out. Martin got a start for the Grizzlies back on Nov. 1, so he could be in line for another if they do rest Marc Gasol on Saturday. For what it's worth, he only scored seven points in his 26 minutes during that start. Friday, 10:15 pm
  • Troy Daniels gets another start
Troy Daniels scored three points with three rebounds and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes on Friday.

Advice: Troy Williams played pretty well in the second unit, so Daniels may be bumped from the starting lineup. Although, they both might start on Saturday for the aging Tony Allen. Daniels isn't worth owning. Friday, 9:59 pm
  • Roy Hibbert moves back to the bench
Roy Hibbert moved back to the bench on Friday with four points, eight rebounds and one block in 21 minutes against the Knicks.

Advice: He actually looked better than expected and the Hornets will now need Frank Kaminsky to get almost all his minutes at the four. Hibbert is still not worth owning in most leagues. Friday, 8:45 pm
  • D.J. Augustin gets 26 minutes
D.J. Augustin played 26 minutes against the Wizards on Friday with eight points, four rebounds and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He played next to Elfrid Payton during this game for four minutes, which is close to double their usual time together. Augustin doesn't really do much on the defensive side with one of the lowest block rates in NBA history, so he'll likely need a larger role to have value in standard leagues. Friday, 6:48 pm
  • Roy Hibbert back to bench on Friday
Cody Zeller will start in New York on Friday night, which means Roy Hibbert will return to the Hornets bench.

Advice: Hibbert started the last three games in place of Zeller, but averaged just 5.3 points and 1.7 rebounds in less than 15 minutes per contest. With Zeller healthy and back in the starting lineup, there is no reason for Hibbert to be rostered in standard fantasy leagues. Friday, 3:12 pm
  • McDermott is not symptom free yet
Doug McDermott (concussion) is "still having symptoms" but is "getting better," according to coach Fred Hoiberg.

Advice: He's not going to be able to progress through the concussion protocol until he is symptom free. Plus, McDermott having two concussions in a month suggests the Bulls will be extra careful. They'll use more of Denzel Valentine and Isaiah Canaan to help out in the second unit. Thursday, 11:53 am
  • Montrezl Harrell (calf) plays 12 minutes
Montrezl Harrell (calf) played 12 minutes off the bench on Wednesday, scoring six points with three rebounds and two turnovers.

Advice: Harrell was reportedly available vs. Detroit on Monday but he didn't play, and his minutes tonight are typical of his role while Clint Capela (31 minutes) and Ryan Anderson (29 minutes) are healthy. Wednesday, 9:09 pm
  • Chris McCullough plays in two games
Chris McCullough played two minutes against the Celtics on Wednesday with one rebound.

Advice: The cool part of this is that McCullough became just the fourth player ever to play in a D-League game and an NBA game in the same day. Besides that, there's nothing to this garbage-time line. He's not in the rotation. Wednesday, 8:59 pm
  • Troy Daniels makes surprise start for MEM
Troy Daniels started on Wednesday and had six points, four rebounds, one assist, one steal and a pair of 3-pointers in 23 minutes.

Advice: The Grizzlies don't have many options at SF while Chandler Parsons (knee) and James Ennis (calf) are both sidelined, especially since coach David Fizdale prefers to keep Vince Carter in his usual bench role. Troy Williams was originally expected to start but wound up coming off the bench, and most owners shouldn't trust either Williams or Daniels outside of very deep leagues. Wednesday, 8:28 pm
  • Tony Allen quiet in double-OT win vs. Philly
Tony Allen ran into early foul trouble on Wednesday, finishing a double-OT win vs. the Sixers with nine points on 4-of-10 shooting, three rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes.

Advice: With both James Ennis (calf) and Chandler Parsons (knee) on the shelf, Memphis needs everything they can get from Allen. Grizzlies coach David Fizdale wound up playing Vince Carter for 39 minutes, but we expect a more even allotment between Allen and VC during Friday's game vs. the Heat. Wednesday, 8:27 pm
  • Roy Hibbert starts, plays 17 minutes vs Spurs
Roy Hibbert started again on Wednesday and notched 10 points with two rebounds and two assists in 17 minutes.

Advice: Cody Zeller (shoulder) was absent but Hibbert's minutes are still being closely monitored following his knee injury. The Hornets came in as league-leaders in second-half scoring margin at +7.1 points, but the Spurs edged them out by four points after halftime en route to a 119-114 road win. Wednesday, 7:25 pm
  • Troy Daniels starts for Memphis
Updating a previous item, Troy Daniels started over Troy Williams against the 76ers on Wednesday.

Advice: Even the PA announcer called Troy Williams as the starter, so go figure. Daniels has a big opportunity with the lack of depth, but he's not a great fantasy option. Wednesday, 4:25 pm
  • Tony Allen is active for Wednesday
Tony Allen (groin) is active for Wednesday against the 76ers.

Advice: He should be the starting shooting guard after playing 31 minutes on Monday. Allen's playing time has increased in each of his last two and he could be close to 30 minutes again tonight. He's not a bad option in DFS in a favorable matchup. Wednesday, 3:03 pm
  • Chris McCullough called up
The Nets recalled Chris McCullough for Wednesday against the Celtics and he will be available to play.

Advice: He played in today's D-League game for the Long Island squad, scoring 21 points with four rebounds. McCullough said after the game he would like to be the fourth player to play in a D-League game and an NBA game in the same day. He has very little fantasy value right now. Wednesday, 2:35 pm
  • Tony Allen (groin) probable Wednesday vs. PHI
Tony Allen (groin) is probable to play Wednesday vs. the 76ers.

Advice: Memphis just lost both Chandler Parsons (knee) and James Ennis (calf) for the next two weeks, so they're going to need everything they can get from Allen. He should be playing around 30 minutes for however long his body holds up, and he's worth owning as a steals specialist in deep leagues. Tuesday, 3:34 pm
  • Doug McDermott to miss at least 2 more games
Doug McDermott (concussion) will miss at least two more games, Tuesday at Denver and Friday at Philadelphia.

Advice: This is not surprising news, as McDermott is dealing the serious aftereffects of his second concussion this month. Earlier reports indicated he could be sidelined until November 30th. Nikola Mirotic started for the Bulls on Sunday and tallied 15 points and 15 rebounds in 37 minutes. Tuesday, 11:15 am
  • Sam Dekker scored a career-high 12 points
Sam Dekker scored a career-high 12 points against the Pistons on Monday, adding four rebounds, one assist and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes.

Advice: He's quickly become coach Mike D'Antoni's No. 2 wing behind Eric Gordon, who struggled big time tonight. Dekker is capable of playing both forward spots, so he could wind up carving out a role and is way ahead of K.J. McDaniels. Obviously he's only worth a look in deep leagues, but he seems to have locked up a role for minutes in the teens. Monday, 10:05 pm
