  • Nuggets assign Malik Beasley to D-League
The Nuggets have sent Malik Beasley down to the D-League.

Advice: This will be Beasley’s fourth assignment to Sioux Falls, where he has appeared in seven total games and averaged 17.7 points and 5.4 rebounds. Beasley's departure has no fantasy significance, as he is not a part of the Denver rotation. 41 minutes ago
  • Calderon expected to join GSW on Thursday
The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that, barring any unexpected setbacks, Jose Calderon will join Golden State for Thursday’s game in Chicago.

Advice: Calderon has already completed his buyout with the Lakers and is expected to sign with the Lakers once he clears waivers on Wednesday. Calderon should remain on the waiver wire in all fantasy leagues, as he will ride the pine in Golden State. Today, 7:44 am
  • Pistons not interested in Brandon Jennings
The Pistons are not interested in signing Brandon Jennings, according to coach Stan Van Gundy.

Advice: "With Ish [Smith] here, I don’t think it would be a fit. From Brandon’s standpoint, my guess is he wants to go somewhere he can play," Van Gundy said. Van Gundy was of the belief that Jennings would land in Charlotte, but the Hornets seem content to stick with Briante Weber. The Wizards are now reportedly the favorite to land Jennings. • Maker modeling his game after Antetokounmpo
Thon Maker said he is modeling his game after Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Advice: Maker stated that because they both have incredible length and athleticism in common, he is attempting to incorporate many aspects of Antetokounmpo's game into his own development. "We have similar builds so I try to look at what he does and just mirror it. In practices, I’m trying to do all of the same things. Then, I want to put it to work in games." Maker's fantasy value is limited because he is averaging just 7.7 minutes per game this season, but he has shown flashes of immense upside, which makes his keeper-league potential significant. Today, 7:25 am
  • Chris Bosh says he is staying ready
Chris Bosh said that his "health is great" and intimated that he has not ruled out returning to the NBA.

Advice: "I'm feeling good, still working out and just really still staying ready," Bosh said during his debut as an analyst on TNT Monday night. However, he didn't directly address any specific plans he might have regarding his future and a possible return to the league. Bosh last appeared in an NBA game on Feb. 9 of 2016. Today, 6:37 am
  • Fred VanVleet was signed by TOR on Monday February 27. Today, 12:14 am
  • Taurean Prince plays 30 minutes in win
Taurean Prince played 30 minutes off the bench and hit 3-of-9 shots for eight points, a career-high 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in Monday's win over the Celtics.

Advice: Prince had a career-high 11 points in his previous game in 27 minutes and has played at least 25 minutes in four of his last five games. He's averaging 8.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 0.8 3-pointers over his last five, while shooting 40 percent from the floor. If you're in a deep league, keep an eye on TP going forward. Yesterday, 10:56 pm
  • Ty Lawson doles out nine assists
Ty Lawson was back in the starting lineup Monday against the Timberwolves and he finished with 11 points and nine assists over 35 minutes.

Advice: Lawson supplanted Tyreke Evans in the starting five in what is an ever-changing lineup situation in Sacramento since the departure of DeMarcus Cousins. Head coach Dave Joerger continues to mix and match, looking for the right combination. This was Lawson's most productive outing in three games since returning from a groin injury. Despite the near double-double, his fantasy value remains limited to deeper formats, especially once Arron Afflalo (hamstring) is healthy enough to play. Yesterday, 10:24 pm
  • Kosta Koufos posts double-double
Kosta Koufos went for 14 points and 11 rebounds in Monday's 102-88 loss against the Timberwolves.

Advice: It was the first double-double for Koufos since Dec. 16, and first one in front of the home fans all season. In other words, don't expect it to become a frequent occurrence. He'll give you a handful of points, a few rebounds and an occasional blocked shot. Expectations of anything more will leave you disappointed. Yesterday, 10:18 pm
  • Shabazz Muhammad hits double digits again
Shabazz Muhammad scored 10 points in 15 minutes off the bench in Monday's 102-88 win against the Kings.

Advice: Muhammad has scored 10 or more points in nine of his 12 games in the month of February, averaging 11.8 points per game. The forward's average for points in the best of any month so far this season. His playing time has actually tailed off slightly as the month has gone on, but he remains fairly productive. Muhammad is a very nice depth player in leagues of 12 or more teams. Yesterday, 10:14 pm
  • Nemanja Bjelica plays 35 minutes
Nemanja Bjelica finished Monday's game against the Kings with 10 points and 12 rebounds over 35 minutes.

Advice: Bjelica also added two assists and two steals with zero turnovers while hitting a pair of 3-pointers. He was playing extended minutes with the game out of hand in the second half. In fact, he played his most minutes since he logged 41 back on Nov. 13 against the Lakers. He remains useful only in deeper leagues, playing 18-22 minutes per contest. Yesterday, 10:10 pm
  • Rodney Stuckey scores 17 points
Rodney Stuckey scored 17 points with six rebounds, three assists, two steals and two triples in 22 minutes vs. the Rockets on Monday.

Advice: It was his best game in a while and he took advantage of some extra touches with Paul George in foul trouble. Stuckey has been hurt for most of the season and competes for touches in a crowded wing rotation, so he can be left on the wire in standard leagues unless he does this a couple more times. He averaged 8.4 points per game in February coming into tonight's game. Yesterday, 9:59 pm
  • Okaro White plays 10 minutes in loss
Okaro White finished with three points and a steal in 10 minutes on Monday against the Mavericks.

Advice: White had an opportunity off the bench with Willie Reed (ankle) on the mend. However, unless Hassan Whiteside also goes down with some sort of an ailment, White's fantasy ceiling is rather limited. He is only worth a look in the deepest of fantasy leagues or as a roll of the dice as a low-cost DFS option, saving salary to allocate for studs at other positions. Yesterday, 9:15 pm
  • Willie Reed doesn't need walking boot
Willie Reed (ankle) is dealing with bursitis in his ankle, but head coach Erik Spoelstra said he doesn't need a walking boot or crutches.

Advice: Reed is already moving around and doing some therapy with rehab, so it doesn't sound like he'll be forced to miss a lot of time. Hassan Whiteside started in his usual spot in the middle with Okaro White seeing time off the bench in Reed's stead. Keep Reed reserved in all fantasy leagues until he is able to make it through at least one full game. Yesterday, 8:28 pm
  • Update: Thon Maker starts over Henson
Updating a previous report, Thon Maker started over John Henson on Monday vs. the Cavaliers.

Advice: Henson was listed as the official starter, but this isn't the first time the Bucks have listed the wrong starting lineup. Maker is prone to foul trouble and isn't a great fantasy option until he gets consistent minutes above 20 -- he's averaging 16.7 minutes per game as a starter. Yesterday, 4:20 pm
  • Thon Maker will come off the bench Monday
Thon Maker will come off the bench for Monday's game against the Cavs.

Advice: Maker will be replaced by John Henson in the starting lineup, and it's unclear if this is just a matchup-based decision, of if Kidd will be moving with Henson in the starting lineup moving forward. Either way, Maker was only averaging 16.7 minutes per game as a starter, so his value won't change much with the move to the bench. Yesterday, 3:59 pm
  • Quincy Acy (ankle) practices on Monday
Quincy Acy (ankle) participated during Monday's practice.

Advice: Acy hasn't played since Feb. 5 due to the ankle issue, but this is the first report we have on him going through practice in any capacity, so maybe he can get back on the court for Wednesday's game in Sacramento. That being said, Acy is only averaging 11 minutes per game in Brooklyn, so his playing status is irrelevant in fantasy hoops. Yesterday, 3:53 pm
  • Report: Lakers waive Jose Calderon
The Lakers have officially waived Jose Calderon.

Advice: Calderon is expected to sign with Golden State once he clears waivers, so he'll transition from warming the bench in Los Angeles to collecting DNPs in Oakland. Leave him on the wire. Yesterday, 2:16 pm
  • Report: CHA will not pursue Brandon Jennings
The Hornets are reportedly pleased with their Briante Weber signing, and they will not pursue Brandon Jennings as a free agent.

Advice: Assuming Jennings clears waivers, he'll then be free to join a team of his choosing, and so far the Wizards have expressed interest. Jennings could potentially earn a sixth man-type role in Washington, but it's unlikely he'd generate much fantasy value at all while John Wall and Bradley Beal are healthy. Yesterday, 12:56 pm

  • Report: WAS interested in Brandon Jennings
The Wizards will reportedly make a bid for Brandon Jennings.

Advice: An earlier report stemming from Stan Van Gundy implied that Jennings was a lock to go to Charlotte, but esteemed reporter David Aldridge is now adding that Washington has entered the equation. Jennings would just be a backup with either club, so there's not much incentive to take a flier on him in standard leagues. Yesterday, 11:58 am

  • Report: Brandon Jennings to sign w/ Hornets
Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy said Brandon Jennings will sign with the Hornets.

Advice: SVG coached Jennings in Detroit last season and said he spoke with his agent on Monday morning after the Knicks released him. It's possible that another team could grab Jennings off waivers, but SVG sounded pretty confident that the PG would end up in Charlotte. The Hornets just signed Briante Weber to a 10-day deal, but Jennings would be the clear favorite to back up Kemba Walker in Charlotte. Yesterday, 10:27 am

  • Knicks to waive PG Brandon Jennings
The Knicks will waive PG Brandon Jennings.

Advice: It's a sign that the Knicks are ready to rebuild, as Jennings is on an expiring $5 million contract and they are planning to use his roster spot to sign Chasson Randle. Jennings averaged 8.6 points and 4.9 assists with the Knicks, but only shot 38.0 percent from the field. Maybe he lands in an ideal situation for fantasy value, but he's not a great stash at the moment. He will more than likely join up with a playoff team, so we're not optimistic. Yesterday, 6:05 am

  • Malik Beasley recalled from D-League stint
Malik Beasley has been recalled from the D-League.

Advice: He only plays if the game is a blowout. Leave him on the wire. Sunday, 12:13 pm
  • Willie Reed is day-to-day, ruled out Monday
Willie Reed (ankle) is day-to-day and will not play on Monday vs. Dallas.

Advice: AN MRI on Sunday morning revealed that he has right ankle bursitis, so Saturday's initial diagnosis of a right calf strain by the Heat was way off. Reed will not travel with the team, so we likely won't get another update until Tuesday. With Reed out, the Heat could use James Johnson as their backup center. Sunday, 9:55 am
  • Jose Calderon likely headed to GSW
The Warriors are expected to sign Jose Calderon after his buyout from the Lakers.

Advice: The Warriors released Briante Weber today, so clearly they feel they have a great shot at Calderon. The 35-year-old guard won't see much playing time unless Stephen Curry is out of the lineup. Saturday, 10:27 pm
  • Willie Reed diagnosed with a calf strain
Willie Reed has been diagnosed with a right calf strain.

Advice: He will not return to Saturday's game vs. the Pacers and will be re-evaluated on Sunday morning. He finished the game with four points, one rebound and one steal in 10 minutes. This diagnosis is good news, but he's not out of the woods yet and we'll know more about his status when the Heat run some tests on him Sunday. If he misses time, Hassan Whiteside will have a higher floor and James Johnson could play more minutes as the backup center. Saturday, 7:31 pm
  • Willie Reed carted off the floor Saturday
Willie Reed left Saturday's game vs. the Pacers on a stretcher after he appeared to suffer a non-contact injury to his leg.

Advice: It didn't look good at all and he's obviously not returning to this game. The Heat will likely run some tests on him, but we may not get an update until after the game. If he misses time, James Johnson may have to play some backup center behind Hassan Whiteside. We'll have an update shortly. Saturday, 7:17 pm
  • Taurean Prince scores career-high 11 points
Taurean Prince scored a career-high 11 points with four rebounds, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes against the Magic on Saturday.

Advice: The Hawks have a surplus of wings right now with DeAndre Bembry playing well and Thabo Sefolosha returning to action. This will be too much of a hot-hand approach to count on any of these guys in most leagues. Prince has been very inconsistent on the offensive end and it'll take a while before he's a contributor outside of being a glue guy. It's been a solid rookie season, though. Saturday, 6:22 pm
  • Ty Lawson scores four points
Ty Lawson scored four points in 23 minutes off the bench with four rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer against the Hornets on Saturday.

Advice: The Kings couldn't go small in this game because the Hornets have too much size on the wings with Nicolas Batum and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Before the game, coach Dave Joerger did talk about how he likes going smaller more often to help get more space and get Lawson in the lane. He should perform better than this most nights, but he's only a deep-league guy. Plus, Garrett Temple and Arron Afflalo returning would hurt him. Saturday, 5:16 pm
  • Ty Lawson to the bench
Ty Lawson will move to the bench on Saturday against the Hornets.

Advice: He should still get some decent minutes as a backup point guard and maybe even some minutes next to Darren Collison. Lawson will likely lose playing time at some point once Arron Afflalo, Malachi Richardson or Garrett Temple return. Lawson isn't a great player to own beyond next week. Saturday, 1:59 pm
  • Quincy Acy will not play on Saturday
Quincy Acy (ankle) will not play against the Warriors on Saturday .

Advice: The Nets will continue to use Rondae Hollis-Jefferson at the four while Trevor Booker backs him up. This also means Justin Hamilton will be in the rotation again. Saturday, 1:14 pm
  • ESPN: Lakers, Jose Calderon discussing buyout
The Lakers and Jose Calderon are exploring their buyout options, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Advice: The Lakers have no reason to play Calderon as they look to play their younger guys. According to the report, the Warriors and Rockets look to be the favors to sign him assuming the buyout goes through. The Lakers will be leaning more on D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson and Brandon Ingram. Saturday, 11:53 am
  • Thon Maker picks up four fouls in 14 minutes
Thon Maker scored three points (a triple) with two rebounds vs. the Jazz on Friday.

Advice: He looks like he has a bright future, but starting him against Rudy Gobert probably wasn't the right call by coach Jason Kidd -- he had four fouls in 14 minutes. Maker has only played 20+ minutes in one out of his last five games, so he's only a stash in very deep leagues at the moment. Friday, 10:25 pm
  • Quincy Acy will not play Friday
Quincy Acy (ankle) will not play Friday night in Denver.

Advice: Acy sprained his ankle back on February 5th and has not appeared in a game since. He was expected to return after having a week to rest but is obviously not yet 100 percent. The fantasy impact is minimal, as Acy is averaging just 11.2 minutes per contest in the 12 games he played as a Net. Friday, 7:04 am
  • Ty Lawson returned to action on Thursday February 23. Friday, 12:18 am
  • Ty Lawson scores eight in start
Ty Lawson scored eight points in a start at shooting guard against the Nuggets on Thursday with four rebounds, six assists, two steals and two turnovers in 31 minutes.

Advice: While he did play well, Lawson probably won't be sticking in the first unit for too long. Buddy Hield and Tyreke Evans will be vying for Lawson's minutes, and Darren Collison is locked in. Lawson is more of a 14-team point guard for now. Thursday, 10:55 pm
  • Kosta Koufos scores eight in start
Kosta Koufos scored eight points with six rebounds and two blocks in 21 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Advice: That's about what to expect from Koufos going forward. His upside just isn't attractive enough to own in standard leagues, but he could be a low-end deep guy for desperate owners. Thursday, 10:35 pm
  • Brandon Jennings gets just 14 minutes
Brandon Jennings scored seven points with two rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 14 minutes against the Cavs on Thursday.

Advice: The Knicks did sit Jennings in the final game of the first half of the season to rest an Achilles issue. For tonight, he didn't get any combo guard minutes with Derrick Rose, which explains the low playing time. Jennings won't have much value when Rose is in the lineup. Thursday, 8:48 pm

  • Collison, Ty, B Mac, Tolliver & Kosta start
Darren Collison, Ty Lawson, Ben McLemore, Anthony Tolliver and Kosta Koufos will start against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Advice: No Buddy Hield and no Willie Cauley-Stein. This likely won't last for long. Thursday, 7:41 pm
  • Brandon Jennings good to go
Brandon Jennings (Achilles) arrived at practice early on Thursday and is fully expected to play against the Cavs.

Advice: He did not play in the final game before the break, so it was likely precautionary. If Courtney Lee (illness) can't play, Jennings could get some added minutes next to Derrick Rose. Thursday, 1:29 pm

  • Ty Lawson (groin) will play on Thursday
Ty Lawson (groin) is available to play on Thursday vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: He was able to practice on Tuesday after missing the last four games before the All-Star break. Lawson isn't a great fantasy asset right now, but that could change if the Kings move Darren Collison at the deadline. Thursday, 10:22 am
  • Wolves determined to move Shabazz Muhammad
The Wolves are determined to move Shabazz Muhammad according to TNT reporter David Aldridge.

Advice: The Wolves still have their eyes on a playoff push and Ricky Rubio and Muhammad are the most likely to be moved. Muhammad is a pure scorer with very little upside in standard fantasy leagues, so he doesn't have much stash appeal. He's averaging 9.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.8 3-pointers in 19.6 minutes this season and he's been linked to the Rockets and Wizards so far. Thursday, 8:24 am
  • Kidd: Thon Maker will continue to start at C
Thon Maker will continue to start at center for the Bucks, according to coach Jason Kidd.

Advice: Milwaukee seems to be fully embracing the stretch-five idea after struggling to develop an effective center rotation with John Henson, Greg Monroe, and the recently-traded Miles Plumlee. In seven starts this season, Maker is averaging 7.3 points, 1.3 triples, 3.7 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.6 blocks. Wednesday, 6:19 pm
  • Shabazz Muhammad on Rockets' radar?
Shabazz Muhammad is another player on Houston's radar.

Advice: This report adds that it doesn't sound like anything is close. Muhammad's name has popped up before with some rumors tied to the Suns and he could be dealt as coach Tom Thibodeau tries to mold the team in his image. He doesn't have much fantasy value regardless. Wednesday, 3:38 pm
  • Knicks like Nemanja Bjelica?
The Knicks have liked Nemanja Bjelica for a while and inquired about his availability in Derrick Rose talks, according to Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today.

Advice: Much to the dismay of Wolves fans, the Rose talks look like they'll continue through the deadline. Coach Tom Thibodeau was going to entertain the idea of playing Bjelica at the three, but it just hasn't happened to limit his minutes. If the Knicks are selling and possibly shut players down, Bjelica could get a slight bump in value with a deal. Obviously fantasy owners can stand pat here. Wednesday, 2:55 pm
  • Ty Lawson (groin) goes through practice
Ty Lawson (groin) was able to practice on Tuesday.

Advice: He's 100 percent and will be ready for Thursday's game vs. the Nuggets after a four-game absence. Darren Collison could be moved prior to the deadline, so be ready to give Lawson a look if the Kings find a trade partner. Lawson is just a stash for now. Tuesday, 6:37 pm
  • ESPN: Wizards interested in Shabazz Muhammad
According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Wizards have expressed interest in Shabazz Muhammad.

Advice: The Wizards were in hot pursuit of Lou Williams, but he was just traded to the Rockets. The Wizards are looking to upgrade their bench at the deadline and Muhammad has been shopped by the Wolves in the past. The swingman would have a limited role off the bench behind Otto Porter if he was moved to Washington, so there's no stash appeal here. The 24-year-old wing is averaging 9.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.8 3-pointers in 19.6 minutes for the Wolves this season. Tuesday, 5:17 pm
  • Malik Beasley sent down for a D-League stint
Malik Beasley has been sent down to the D-League.

Advice: Beasley isn't a significant part of the rotation in Denver, so there's no fantasy spin here. Tuesday, 3:56 pm
  • HEAT recall Okaro White from D-League
The Heat announced on Tuesday that they have recalled Okaro White from their D-League affiliate.

Advice: The Heat sent White down this past weekend so he could participate in the D-League All-Star Game. White has minimal fantasy value. He has appeared in 14 games for Miami this season and is averaging 4.2 points and 2.5 rebounds in 16.2 minutes. He can be left on waiver wires. Tuesday, 10:41 am
