    • Set to miss Game 3
      Haliburton (hamstring) is expected to sit out Saturday's matchup with the Celtics in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: In Game 2, Haliburton exited in the third quarter with a sore left hamstring, an injury to the same hamstring that kept him out for 10 games in January. T.J. McConnell, Andrew Nembhard and Ben Sheppard are all likely to see expanded roles out of the backcourt in Game 3 while Haliburton sits out. The severity of Haliburton's injury remains unclear, so for the time being, the Pacers seem to be viewing him as day-to-day.     • Daniel Gafford tallies 16 points, five blocks
      Daniel Gafford was excellent in his 21 minutes in Friday’s 109-108 win over Minnesota, amassing 16 points (8-of-10 FGs, 0-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, and five blocked shots.

      Advice: Like Game 1, Gafford played fewer minutes than backup Dereck Lively II on Friday. However, that didn’t prevent him from having an impact, especially defensively. Gafford blocked five shots while also shooting 80% from the field, excellently finishing around the basket in the two-man game. As for Lively, he played 27 minutes in Game 2, finishing with 14 points, nine rebounds, and two assists. The rookie did not miss a shot, going 6-of-6 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line.       Advice: Haliburton, limited by an injury to the same hamstring earlier this season, exited Thursday’s Game 2 defeat during the fourth quarter. While the injury being a case of soreness instead of a strain is good news, there’s no guarantee the All-NBA point guard will play on Saturday. Andrew Nembhard (who’s already a starter), T.J. McConnell, and Ben Sheppard would all be required to do more if Haliburton cannot play. And the Pacers are already in an 0-2 hole, so losing Haliburton could end their hopes of turning things around.       Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said after Thursday's 126-110 loss to the Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals that Haliburton's departure late in the third quarter was the result of left hamstring soreness, Joe Vardon of The Athletic reports. "We hope that this is a very short-term aggravation," Carlisle said.

      Advice: Though Haliburton tallied 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt), eight assists, four rebounds and one steal in 28 minutes before leaving the game for good with 3:44 remaining in the third quarter, he appeared to have picked up the injury earlier in the contest. He fell hard to the floor in the first half and was spotted in the medical imaging room at TD Garden during halftime to get evaluated for a chest injury, but Carlisle relayed after the game that Haliburton was also getting his hamstring worked on. Haliburton was playing in pain in the third quarter before checking out of the game for good with an injury that the Pacers officially labeled as left leg soreness before Carlisle provided more clarity afterward. The All-Star guard previously missed 10 games in January due to a strain of the same hamstring, so he could struggle to gain clearance ahead of Saturday's Game 3 in Indiana.       Advice: Gafford has been rotating at center with Dereck Lively, but the former Wizards big man continues to deliver every time he's called upon duty. He's scored in double digits in six of his last eight playoff contests, a span in which he's averaging 11.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest.
