    Caruso generated six points (2-3 FG, 2-3 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and a steal during 17 minutes of Wednesday's 131-116 win over the Hawks. Per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Caruso sustained a "significant right foot sprain during the contest.

    Advice: Caruso missed portions of the first half with a foot injury sustained during a collision with Andre Drummond. While he managed to return to the game, he was subbed out with 9:43 to play in the third quarter and didn't check back in. Caruso's status is certainly up in the air for Friday's matchup with Miami and is worth monitoring ahead of the contest.     Butler is feared to have sustained an MCL injury in his right knee, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

    Advice: Butler finished out Wednesday's Play-In Tournament game against the 76ers despite sporting a limp in his right leg. While he was reported to be undergoing an MRI on Thursday, Butler's injury could be more serious than initially expected. If it ends up being an MCL injury, it's highly unlikely that Butler will be able to play in Friday's Play-In elimination game.     Jimmy Butler is “feared to have an MCL injury in his right knee”, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

    Advice: Butler was able to play 40 minutes on Wednesday despite suffering a knee injury at the end of the first quarter. He already said that he was planning to get an MRI, and now it appears that there is a chance that he is sidelined for a while.     Nicolas Batum provided a boost off the bench with 20 points (7-of-12 FGs), five rebounds, one block and six triples against the Heat on Wednesday.

    Advice: Batum hasn’t been much more than a veteran rotation piece that can come away with some defensive stats and threes this season, but he stepped up in the biggest way possible in this game. He made a big play late with a block on a 3-point attempt from Tyler Herro, and he was able to set new season-highs with 20 points and six 3-pointers. He has started some this season, though he will continue to come off the bench as long as the team is fully healthy. It’s unlikely, but he’ll look to keep the heroics going against New York.   • Joel Embiid scores team-high 23 points vs. Miami
    Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 23 points (6-of-17 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), 15 rebounds, five assists, one steal and two triples in a 105-104 win over Miami on Wednesday.

    Advice: Embiid struggled with his shot, but he was still able led the team scoring because he had an effective night at the free throw line. Philly managed his minutes in his first five games back after having knee surgery, so his 38 minutes in this game were the most that he has played since January. He ended up scoring nearly half of his point in the fourth quarter to help them complete the comeback after they trailed by 12 points at halftime.     Advice: Butler appeared to tweak his knee late in the first quarter after being fouled but remained in the game at less than 100 percent, sporting a noticeable limp at times. Butler was seen wearing a protective knee sleeve post-game and will have more testing done Thursday. The Heat will play in a win-or-go-home matchup Friday night, giving Butler very little time to heal. We should know more about the severity of the injury once the MRI results come back.     Tyrese Maxey struggled with his shot on Wednesday but still finished with 19 points (6-of-16 FGs), three rebounds, six assists and one triple against the Heat.

    Advice: After a breakout season that will likely result in him winning the Most Improved Player award, Maxey’s first game of the postseason didn’t go very well. Still, they were able to walk away with a win, which means they’ll go on to face the Knicks in the first round of the playoffs. He averaged 26.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists in three games against New York this season, and they’ll need him to play better than he did in this game if they hope to pull off the upset and advance to the second round.
