  • Ricky Rubio scores 21 w/ 14 assists
Ricky Rubio scored 21 points on 4-of-9 shooting with 14 assists in Tuesday's loss to the Spurs, adding two rebounds, two steals and three turnovers in 39 minutes.

Advice: He set new career highs in free throws made (13) and attempted (14), so that's not a bad way to respond to the trade rumors. The Wolves are actively shopping Rubio according to The Vertical and the Kings are a rumored destination, but that would actually be a decent spot for him in terms of fantasy value. His owners should sit tight until we learn more, but it sounds like there's a decent chance that he's moved before the Feb. 23 deadline. There are a lot of teams in need of an upgrade at the point, so there's no need to panic if you own him. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:37 pm
  • Patty Mills (left calf tightness) scores 11
Patty Mills (left calf tightness) returned from a one-game absence on Tuesday vs. the Wolves and scored 11 points in 19 minutes.

Advice: His injury is minor and it sounds like he was rested against the Suns on Saturday. He saw a couple minutes less than normal tonight, but was still productive with four assists, one rebound and three triples on 4-of-10 shooting. Tony Parker is playing better these days, so he's the PG you want to own in San Antonio unlike earlier in the season. We'll let you know when that changes. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:21 pm
  • Rajon Rondo fading, scores zero Tuesday
Rajon Rondo played 23 minutes off the bench on Tuesday but missed all four of his shots and failed to score, finishing with just three rebounds and five assists in a loss to the Mavs.

Advice: Rondo is fading fast, hasn't scored more than six points in any of his last four games, and is averaging just 3.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 0.5 steals over his last four games, while hitting just 6-of-25 shots over that stretch. There are simply better players to spend your time and effort on than Rondo right now, but he's probably still worth holding in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:19 pm
  • Dwyane Wade scores 17, can't hit winner
Dwyane Wade returned from a rest and played 35 minutes on Tuesday, hitting 8-of-21 shots for 17 points, five rebounds, two assists and a block in a loss to the Mavericks.

Advice: Wade picked up a deflection after Wesley Matthews nearly stole the ball from Jimmy Butler and got a good look at the game-winning shot at the buzzer over Deron Williams, but it wasn't meant to be. Wade is a fine play on nights he's actually playing, But he had missed two of his previous four games coming into this one. The Bulls have another back-to-back this Friday and Saturday, and then again on Tuesday and Wednesday, so owners can only pray that he plays in more than two of those four games. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:04 pm
  • J.J. Barea goes for 12 & 6 off bench
J.J. Barea hit 5-of-8 shots and two 3-pointers for 12 points and six assists in just 18 minutes in Tuesday's 99-98 win over the Bulls.

Advice: Barea's hit double digits in back-to-back games but will need more than the 17 minutes he's getting a night right now if he's going to be worth adding in fantasy. Just keep an eye on him, as he's starting to come on. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:47 pm
  • Seth Curry scores 18 in another start at SG
Seth Curry started again at shooting guard and hit 7-of-10 shots and three 3-pointers for 18 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals in 30 minutes of Tuesday's 99-98 win over the Bulls.

Advice: Curry could stick in the starting lineup going forward, while Dirk Nowitzki got the start at center tonight. Curry hasn't done anything too spectacular recently, but is averaging 9.0 points, 1.8 steals and 1.8 3-pointers. If Curry sticks with the starters he should be fun to own the rest of the way, despite the occasional quiet night. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:43 pm
  • Deron Williams packs stat sheet in win
Deron Williams hit 5-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points, six rebounds, nine assists and a steal in Tuesday's thrilling 99-98 win over the Bulls.

Advice: Harrison Barnes scored 20 and Dirk Nowitzki had a 10 & 10 double-double in the win, and Williams has scored in double figures in four straight games. He's averaging 13 points, 4.2 rebounds, 8.4 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.8 3-pointers on 48 percent shooting over his last five and should be owned in all leagues right now. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:37 pm
  • Fred VanVleet scores 10 points in win
Fred VanVleet scored a career-high 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting in Tuesday's win over the Nets.

Advice: Kyle Lowry (rest) got the night off, so VanVleet was the backup PG behind Cory Joseph in this one. He played 25 minutes and added four rebounds, two assists, two steals and two 3-pointers, but he's usually not in the rotation when the Raptors are healthy. It's safe to leave him on the wire, but it's good to know that the rookie has some talent. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:35 pm
  • Cory Joseph scores career-high 33 points
Cory Joseph scored a career-high 33 points in Tuesday's win over the Nets.

Advice: Starting in place of the resting Kyle Lowry, Joseph shattered his previous career high of 20 points set back in 2014. He hit 15-of-22 shots from the field with four rebounds, four assists and one triple in 37 minutes, as the Nets' young backcourt had no answer for him. Lowry is expected to return on Wednesday vs. the 76ers, but remember this performance from CoJo the next time Lowry gets a night off. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:30 pm
  • Goran Dragic flirts with triple-double in win
Goran Dragic hit 8-of-15 shots and a 3-pointer for 21 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, a steal and six turnovers in Tuesday's 109-103 win over the Rockets.

Advice: The six turnovers were weird and matched James Harden's output in that category, but the rest of his game was stellar, as usual. As long as Dragic isn't traded, he should continue to rack up gaudy stats for the Heat. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:17 pm
  • James Harden struggles for 13th triple-double
James Harden hit just 12-of-30 shots, 4-of-15 3-pointers and 12-of-13 free throws for 40 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to record his 13th triple-double of the season in Tuesday's 109-103 loss to the Heat.

Advice: As much as Kevin Durant is constantly a model of efficiency, Harden tends to drift to the opposite side of the scale, and his six turnovers didn't help matters. But regardless of how poorly he's shooting the ball, he makes up for the poor FG percentage and TOs with a ton of points, boards, assists and a high volume free throw percentage. He also had two steals, but he would have traded the trip-dub for a win over an inferior team tonight. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:06 pm
  • Clarkson, Black set to play for Lakers
Jordan Clarkson (ankle) and Tarik Black (ankle) are both available to play for the Lakers on Tuesday.

Advice: This really isn't news, as we had this earlier in the day, but it looks like both players are officially a go for tonight. Rotoworld.com Today, 5:54 pm
  • Austin Rivers looking at an increased role
Austin Rivers is looking at an increased role moving forward with Chris Paul (thumb) out 6-8 weeks.

Advice: Rivers was going to lose some value with Blake Griffin (knee) nearing a return, but not so fast. With Paul out, both Rivers and Felton could realistically play over 30 minutes a night even with a healthy Blake. Rivers is averaging 16.8 points, 4.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.8 triples in January, and his usage rate climbs from 14.9 to 21.8 when Paul is off the court. Go pick him up. Rotoworld.com Today, 4:34 pm
  • Raymond Felton looking at a bump in minutes
Raymond Felton is looking at a bump in minutes with Chris Paul (thumb surgery) out for the next 6-8 weeks.

Advice: Felton started the second half of Monday's game and looked great with 15 points on 7-of-7 shooting with six assists, three rebounds, one block, one steal and two turnovers in 27 minutes, and he averaged 10.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.7 triples in six previous starts this season. He's likely going to take over the starting role in Los Angeles and looks like a strong pickup in standard leagues. Austin Rivers also looks like a great pickup. Rotoworld.com Today, 4:30 pm
  • Cory Joseph starting for Lowry (rest)
Cory Joseph is starting in place of Kyle Lowry (rest) on Tuesday vs. the Nets.

Advice: Lowry is getting the night off to rest some bumps and bruises, so Joseph could eclipse the 30-minute mark tonight and looks like a strong punt in DFS. DeMar DeRozan should also be a popular play, as his usage rate climbs from 31.7 to 41.5 with Lowry off the court. Rotoworld.com Today, 4:21 pm
  • Kyle Lowry (rest) will not play Tuesday
Kyle Lowry (rest) will not play Tuesday vs. Brooklyn.

Advice: Nothing like a very late and unexpected lineup change involving a stud to send DFS players scrambling at the last minute... The Raps announced that "Lowry will dress but likely not play to rest bumps/bruises." Safe to assume that playing the last-place Nets factored into Toronto's thought process, in addition to the fact that this is the front-end of a back-to-back for the Raps. Cory Joseph will replace Lowry in the lineup on Tuesday. Lowry should be ready to roll on Wednesday. Rotoworld.com Today, 4:17 pm
  • Chris Paul (thumb surgery) out 6-8 weeks
Chris Paul has a torn ligament in his left thumb that will require surgery and he is expected to miss 6-8 weeks.

Advice: This is a brutal blow for the Clippers. With this report, we likely won't see Paul back until March at the earliest. Luckily, that's just in time for the fantasy playoffs. Raymond Felton and Austin Rivers will both benefit and look like great pickups in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Today, 4:14 pm
    Injured

  • Jeremy Lin (hamstring) out Tuesday vs. TOR
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) will not play Tuesday vs. Toronto.

Advice: He's out indefinitely, and we're going to stop updating his status until he clears some sort of benchmark for getting back to the court (he's still not practicing). Isaiah Whitehead and Spencer Dinwiddie will continue to man the point guard position in Lin's absence, but neither guy is worth a roster spot in most settings. Rotoworld.com Today, 3:00 pm
  • MIN views Kris Dunn as long-term starter
The Timberwolves reportedly view Kris Dunn as their long-term starting point guard.

Advice: The Vertical broke news on Tuesday that Minnesota is actively shopping Ricky Rubio with the intent of being able to eventually turn over the reins to Dunn, so it’s highly likely that the rookie will be unleashed towards the end of the year. That being said, Dunn has a shaky jumper (37.8 percent shooting) and is not capable of consistently hitting the 3-point shot (0.4), so those two things will likely keep his value in check even when he's getting 30 minutes a night. Still, his upside in steals and assists makes him a reasonable guy to stash in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Today, 1:59 pm
  • Report: Wolves actively shopping Ricky Rubio
The Timberwolves are reportedly actively shopping Ricky Rubio.

Advice: The Wolves are reportedly trying to package Rubio and Shabazz Muhammad in order to bring in another guard that would initially start, but eventually, accept a backup role behind Minnesota's No. 5 overall pick Kris Dunn. Thus far the Kings have been the only team to express strong interest in acquiring Rubio, but the Wolves don't like what they can offer, and there's reportedly no traction between those two clubs on the trade front. It's tough to predict what Rubio's outlook will look like on another team, but this report firmly puts Dunn on the radar as a quality deep league stash. Rotoworld.com Today, 1:48 pm
  • Demetrius Jackson sent down to D-League
The Celtics have assigned Demetrius Jackson to their D-League affiliate.

Advice: Neat. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:46 pm
  • Clarkson, Black expected to play on Tuesday
Jordan Clarkson (ankle) and Tarik Black (ankle) are expected to play Tuesday vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: Both guys were active at shootaround, and this ankle injury for Clarkson seemingly came out of nowhere (he hasn't missed any games because of it), so owners can go ahead and get him on the active roster. We'll have official confirmation closer to tip-off. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:22 am
  • T.J. McConnell (wrist) will try to play Wed
T.J. McConnell (wrist) is "going to try to play" on Wednesday vs. the Raptors.

Advice: McConnell missed Monday's game after spraining his right wrist on Saturday. He has been fitted with a splint and will attempt to give it a go. We will likely have to wait until after pre-game warm-ups on Wednesday before we get official word. For what it's worth, he is listed as doubtful in the game notes. If T.J. can't play, Sergio Rodriguez will likely draw the start, with rookie Chasson Randle seeing minutes off the bench. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:18 am
  • Clippers awaiting MRI on Chris Paul's thumb
Chris Paul will receive an MRI on his injured left thumb on Tuesday.

Advice: Paul sprained his thumb in the second quarter of the Clippers victory over OKC on Tuesday. Paul did miss time this preseason with a sprain to the same thumb. The good news is the X-rays came back clean and the injury is to his non-shooting hand. "We just have to hope for the best," coach Doc Rivers said. Raymond Felton and Austin Rivers would see a big boost if CP3 is sidelined. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:08 am
    Injured

  • Jameer Nelson enjoys victory over the Magic
Jameer Nelson said he had "extra incentive" playing against his former team, the Orlando Magic, on Monday night.

Advice: Nelson left Orlando in 2014 but clearly isn't happy with the way the relationship ended. ""It just felt like certain people counted me out, but one thing I’m never going to do is count myself out," said Nelson. He finished with 18 points, four boards and four assists in 32 minutes on Monday. With Gary Harris (ankle) expected to miss Tuesday's game vs. the Lakers, Nelson could be in line for extra playing time on Tuesday as well Rotoworld.com Today, 6:36 am
  • Ty Lawson (ankle) probable for Wednesday
Ty Lawson (ankle) is expected to play Wednesday vs. the Pacers.

Advice: Lawson twisted his left ankle in the second half of the Sunday's game vs. OKC and was unable to return. However, it appears that the injury is minor and that Lawson "isn't expecting to miss" the Kings next game, which is Wednesday vs. Indiana. Stay tuned for a formal update from the team regarding his status. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:12 am
  • Russell Westbrook scores 24 points in loss
Russell Westbrook scored 24 points on 7-of-19 shooting with five rebounds, four assists, two steals, two triples and four turnovers in Monday's blowout loss to the Clippers.

Advice: It's amazing that a line like this can actually be called an off night, but that's how good Westy has been this season. He's still averaging a triple-double on the year, so his owners have nothing to complain about. He gets a matchup with Kevin Durant and the Warriors on Wednesday, but he struggled in their first meeting with 20 points on 4-of-15 shooting. He will still be a recommended DFS target for obvious reasons. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:35 pm
  • Austin Rivers scores 16 w/ six assists
Austin Rivers scored 16 points on 5-of-13 shooting in Monday's win over the Thunder.

Advice: He played impressive defense on Russell Westbrook and is thriving with the first unit. Rivers logged 35 minutes and added six assists, two rebounds, one steal and two triples, and he could have the ball in his hands a lot more if Chris Paul (sprained thumb) misses any time. Rivers' usage rate rises from 14.9 to 21.8 when Paul is off the court, so he looks like a solid pickup in addition to Raymond Felton. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:18 pm
  • Raymond Felton scores 15 on 7-of-7 shooting
Raymond Felton scored 15 points on a perfect 7-of-7 shooting in Monday's 120-98 win over the Thunder on Monday.

Advice: Chris Paul left the game with a sprained left thumb and did not return, so Felton started the second half and added six assists, three rebounds, one block, one steal and two turnovers in 27 minutes. X-rays were negative on Paul's thumb, but he is scheduled to have an MRI on Tuesday at which point we will know if he needs to miss additional time. Felton looks like a nice speculative pickup with averages of 10.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.7 triples in six previous starts this season. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:13 pm
  • Alec Burks fizzles in nine minutes
Alec Burks played just nine minutes and missed all four of his shots, failing to score a point in Monday's 106-101 win over the Suns.

Advice: Joe Ingles started for Rodney Hood (knee) and played well, and Joe Johnson was Joe Cool off the bench with 15 points and three 3-pointers, so Burks looks like the big loser in the Hood-injury sweepstakes. If you picked up Burks in hopes of a decent week, we'd recommend throwing him back and taking a flier on Ingles or Johnson, instead. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:16 pm

  • George Hill tweaks ankle in win over Suns
George Hill 7-of-18 shots and 1-of-8 3-pointers for 17 points, eight rebounds and three assists in 33 minutes of Monday's win over the Suns.

Advice: He left late in the game with a sprained ankle, but it doesn't appear to be serious and he wasn't noticeably limping after the game. Injuries have been a huge problem for Hill this season, so check to make sure he's good to go against the Mavericks on Friday against the Mavericks. The good news is that he has a full three days to recover before Friday's game. If he's out, Shelvin Mack would benefit the most. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:07 pm

  • X-rays negative on Chris Paul's thumb
X-rays on Chris Paul's left thumb came back negative.

Advice: This is awesome news because it means we can rule out any breaks. CP3 will have additional tests on Tuesday morning which will include an MRI, so hopefully we get more good news. For now, the Clippers have diagnosed him with a sprained left thumb and he should be considered day-to-day barring another update. If we learn that he will miss additional time, Raymond Felton and Austin Rivers will benefit the most. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:05 pm

  • Chris Paul (sprained thumb) will not return
Chris Paul sprained his left thumb on Monday vs. the Thunder and will not return.

Advice: Paul banged knees with Russell Westbrook (CP3's knee is fine), but he also appeared to jam his thumb into Westy's side. The sprained thumb is likely something CP3 can play through since it's to his non-shooting hand, but we won't know for sure until after the game. The Clippers are leading by 17 points at half, so they might be playing it safe as well by holding him out. If he does need to miss time, both Raymond Felton and Austin Rivers will be worth picking up in standard leagues. CP3 finished with eight points, six assists, three rebounds, one steal and two triples. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:51 pm
    Injured

  • Chris Paul (knee) goes to locker room
Chris Paul banged right knees with Russell Westbrook and was not happy when he left the game, and headed straight for the locker room with just over two minutes left in the first half of Monday's game.

Advice: CP3 might be fine, but his reaction (kicking the bench seats) and going straight to the locker room is a bit concerning. We'll get a halftime report on him and update his status, but as of now, CP3 should be considered questionable to return for the second half. If he's injured, a red-hot Austin Rivers gets even hotter, and Raymond Felton would see a big boost in playing time. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:38 pm
    Injured

  • Jameer Nelson scores 18 points in 32 minutes
Jameer Nelson had 18 points, four rebounds, four assists, two 3-pointers, one steal and one turnover in 32 minutes on Monday.

Advice: Gary Harris sprained his ankle just three minutes into the game, which opened up extra playing time for Nelson, who has now scored in double-figures in three straight games. Harris is doubtful for Tuesday's game vs. the Lakers, so Nelson could be in line for an uptick in playing time. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:32 pm
  • Jameer Nelson starts the 2nd half sans Harris
Jameer Nelson started the second half of Monday's game against the Magic.

Advice: Gary Harris suffered a right ankle injury just three minutes into the game and will not return, which prompted Nelson's move into the starting five. He has started in the past when Harris has hit the sidelines, so he could see a decent boost in value if Harris is forced into an extended absence, as should Jamal Murray and Will Barton. We'll let you know how Nelson does after the game. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:27 pm
  • Clarkson, Black questionable for Tuesday
Jordan Clarkson (sprained right ankle) and Tarik Black (sprained left ankle) are being listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Nuggets.

Advice: It's unclear exactly when Clarkson suffered this ankle injury, but we should have a better idea on his status following Tuesday morning's shootaround. If he's out, guys like Lou Williams, D'Angelo Russell and Brandon Ingram would all have the opportunity to see an uptick in minutes. Blacks absence would translate to more minutes for Thomas Robinson. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 12:58 pm
  • McConnell (wrist) w/out timetable to return
T.J. McConnell (wrist) is currently without an official timetable to return.

Advice: The only positive here is that the MRI results came back negative, but with the way Philly tends to handle injuries, McConnell could be looking at a lengthy absence here. Sergio Rodriguez will likely move back into the starting five, and with McConnell on the sidelines, he may be able to flirt with minutes in the 30s. He's worth a speculative add in deep leagues for those looking for an assist specialist. McConnell could be a tough guy to hang onto in standard leagues without an IR-spot. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:42 am
  • Patty Mills (calf) plans to play Tuesday
Patty Mills (left calf tightness) said that he will play vs. the Wolves on Tuesday.

Advice: He said he's been experiencing tightness in his calf for a while, so that might explain his recent dip in production. Assuming he's good to go for Tuesday, Mills should see his normal workload of minutes in the 20s. Give him a look if you need to stream a couple 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:02 am
  • T.J. McConnell (wrist) ruled out for Monday
T.J. McConnell (wrist) will not play on Monday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: He has a right wrist sprain, but he should be considered day-to-day barring another update. McConnell has thrived as the starting PG, so stick with him unless we learn that he will miss additional time. Sergio Rodriguez will likely move back into the starting lineup, but the 76ers will probably want to get an extended look at Chasson Randle before his 10-day contract expires later this week. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:44 am
  • Russell Westbrook triple-doubles vs. Kings
Russell Westbrook scored 36 points, with 11 rebounds, 10 assists, four steals and four 3-pointers in Sunday’s 122-118 victory over the Kings.

Advice: He shot the ball well today, hitting 11-of-21 field goals and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc, while recording his 20th triple-double of the season. He does have a tendency to turn the ball over a lot, but makes up for it by stuffing the stat sheet on a nightly basis. He remains the league’s leader with a 41.1 percent usage rate. The Thunder are 16-4 whenever Westbrook has triple-doubled this season. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 9:52 pm
  • Ty Lawson exits Sunday's game vs. OKC
Ty Lawson (ankle) twisted his left ankle and will miss the remainder of Sunday's game against the Thunder.

Advice: Lawson played 20 minutes and scored four points with four assists, one rebound and one steal before leaving the game. If he misses any time, Darren Collison and Garrett Temple will get a boost. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:22 pm
  • Patrick Beverley posts all-around gem vs Nets
Patrick Beverley got back on track during Sunday's game in Brooklyn, scoring 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting with four 3-pointers, seven rebounds, six assists, two steals and zero turnovers.

Advice: Beverley played just 27 minutes in the blowout road win, and it was great to see his shot falling -- he averaged only 5.0 points on 25.0 percent shooting in his previous four games. In spite of the recent slump, Bev has been a terrific fantasy asset with career-high averages in boards (6.1), assists (4.4) and steals (1.5), to go along with 8.9 points and 1.6 threes. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 6:10 pm
  • Kyle Lowry scores 16 points with full line
Kyle Lowry scored 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting Sunday, to go with two 3-pointers, four rebounds, nine assists, one steal, one block and just one turnover in 28 minutes.

Advice: Lowry finished the game with a plus/minus rating of +35, and he ranks No. 6 overall on the year in total plus/minus with 323. He's had a strong first half of the year, churning out first-round value while hitting career-highs in points (22.4), triples (3.3), field goal percentage (47.8) and 3-point percentage (51.0), so hopefully he can avoid the injury bug to close out the year. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 3:36 pm
  • J.J. Barea scores 15 points in 17 minutes
J.J. Barea was phenomenal in his 17 minutes of action during Sunday's win over the Wolves, scoring 15 points on 5-of-5 shooting to go with one 3-pointer, three boards, three assists and two turnovers.

Advice: Barea also went 4-of-5 from the charity stripe, giving him a ridiculous true shooting percentage of 104.2 on the evening to accompany his 32.4 usage rate. Barea said that while he's still not completely recovered from the left leg muscle strain, he's finally starting to feel better, so his minutes should start creeping up into the 20-range. He's worth a speculative add in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:47 pm
  • Seth Curry doesn't do much in 32 minutes
Seth Curry got another start on Sunday sans Andrew Bogut (hamstring) but failed to do much with the increased opportunity, scoring just seven points on 2-of-9 shooting in 32 minutes.

Advice: Curry added one triple, three rebounds, three steals and one turnover during his time on the court, but this isn't the type of production his owners were hoping for, particularly with the heavy minutes. Curry does have some nice upside, as the Mavs could turn him loose after the All-Star break once they start resting the older guys, but he's more of a stash at the moment. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:23 pm
  • Deron Williams double-doubles w/ two steals
Deron Williams scored 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting Sunday, to go with 10 assists, four rebounds, three 3-pointers, two steals and four turnovers in 31 minutes.

Advice: Williams has been playing very well in his past three outings, owning averages of 15.7 points, 9.7 dimes, 2.7 triples, 1.0 steal and 2.7 turnovers per game on 57.6 percent shooting, which has been good enough for mid-round value. However, the sky-high field goal percentage is unsustainable, and Williams is definitely a guy that could be rested down the stretch with the Mavs sitting on a 13-27 record, so owners may want to use this hot streak to try and sell high on the oft-injured point guard. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:19 pm
  • Ricky Rubio hands out 10 dimes in loss to DAL
Ricky Rubio went 2-of-9 from the field and 4-of-6 from the stripe during Sunday's loss to the Mavs, ending his evening with eight points, 10 assists, five boards, two steals and four turnovers.

Advice: After a slow start to the season, Rubio has been steadily climbing up the rankings and over the past month he's emerged as a third-round stud in standard 9-cat leagues with averages of 8.4 points, 9.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 2.5 turnovers per game on 39.2 percent shooting. This was also his fourth straight game handing out at least 10 assists, so he's rolling right now. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 1:16 pm
  • Celtics recall Demetrius Jackson
The Celtics have recalled Demetrius Jackson from the D-League

Advice: He's fourth on the depth chart at PG in Boston and has zero fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:02 am
  • Alec Burks will be in the rotation
Alec Burks said he's close to 100 percent after his eight-point game in 15 minutes on Saturday.

Advice: He said he's been waiting for this for "like a year" and he said he knew he was ready to play. Burks acknowledged he had a serious injury and he's still improving. He said he wanted to get to the rim more and he plans on doing that more as he gets more comfortable. With Rodney Hood (knee) possibly missing time, Burks is a speculative add in deep leagues. • Dante Exum a non-factor vs. Orlando
Dante Exum scored two points in seven minutes with one assist in Saturday’s win against the Magic.

Advice: Exum appears to have fallen behind in Utah’s backcourt rotation. Alec Burks is back in the picture and played well tonight, so Exum could continue to struggle for playing time in the foreseeable future. He should not be owned in any format. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:18 pm

  • Alec Burks scores eight points in 14 mins
Alec Burks played 14 minutes and scored eight points with six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in Saturday’s 114-107 victory of the Magic.

Advice: Burks was recalled from the D-League on Jan. 12 and could hang around for a while, as Rodney Hood (knee) suffered a hyperextended knee in tonight’s game. He has only appeared in six games for the Jazz this season, but could see a larger role if Hood misses any time. He looked good tonight and can play multiple positions for Utah. That being said, for now, Burks can be left on waivers, but he is someone worth keeping an eye on. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:12 pm

  • T.J. McConnell takes the loss as starter
T.J. McConnell scored four points with three rebounds, six assists, one steal and one turnover against the Wizards on Saturday.

Advice: He did jam his right wrist in the second half, but he stayed in the game. It's pretty obvious Joel Embiid makes T.J. McConnell a heck of a lot better. Despite McConnell suffering just his second loss as a starter on the year, he still has his starting job locked up. Keep him on your roster in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:24 pm
  • Wade not playing on Sunday in Memphis
Dwyane Wade (rest) will not play against the Grizzlies on Sunday.

Advice: He did not travel after Saturday's game, so it's scheduled rest. On Saturday, he was more aggressive than usual with 22 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes. The Bulls have another back-to-back starting on Friday and another one on Jan. 24-25, so Wade could sit in some of those. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 6:11 pm
  • Rajon Rondo scores six points
Rajon Rondo scored six points off the bench against the Pelicans on Saturday, adding two rebounds, five assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 19 minutes.

Advice: He picked up 100 percent of the backup point guard minutes, but he did only play two minutes in the fourth quarter. Rondo is clearly behind Michael Carter-Williams for now, so the needle hasn't moved on his enough to add him in standard leagues. If you're desperate for a point guard in a deep league, feel free to give him a look to see if anything changes. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:50 pm
  • Alec Burks will be in the rotation
Alec Burks will be in the rotation with Joe Johnson (rest) out on Saturday against the Magic.

Advice: We saw Burks get five minutes on Friday night, but he didn't play well on the offensive side. The Jazz loved him at times last year with some point guard minutes, but he's in a tight spot for minutes. Leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 4:49 pm

  • Chris Paul scores 20 with 13 dimes in win
Chris Paul scored 20 points during a 113-97 win over the Lakers on Saturday, adding five rebounds, 13 assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: The Clippers are back and it obviously has a lot to do with Chris Paul. Since he's returned, they have won all four games with CP3 averaging 17.8 points, 6.0 boards, 12.3 assists, 2.8 steals and 1.3 treys. He's arguably the best point guard in fantasy when he's healthy. Also, there was a really sweet dime from CP3 to DeAndre Jordan (slow motion video in link below). Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:47 pm

  • Austin Rivers scores 15 points in start
Austin Rivers scored 15 points with one rebound, two assists, two steals and one 3-pointer against the Lakers on Saturday.

Advice: He likely has the starting job locked up with his dad trusting him against small forwards of all sizes until Blake Griffin (knee) comes back. Rivers has been very effective in his last four, averaging 19.0 points, 3.8 boards, 4.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.0 treys. He'll be taking a big hit once BG comes back and only has three games for the upcoming week, so Rivers' value isn't the greatest going forward. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:26 pm
  • Raymond Felton scores 15 points vs. Lakers
Raymond Felton scored 15 points with two rebounds, four assists and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes against the Lakers on Saturday.

Advice: This wasn't really a garbage-time special for Felton in a very impressive game. He also played next to Chris Paul for eight minutes today, which is close to double his average in the 20 previous games they were paired together. Felton has been hanging around top-150 value in his last 10, but that's still close to his ceiling while CP3 is healthy. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:19 pm
  • Jordan Clarkson scores 21 points vs. LAC
Jordan Clarkson scored 21 points with four rebounds, three assists, three 3-pointers and two turnovers in 28 minutes against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: After a rough three-game streak with 22 points combined before Thursday, that's two solid games for Clarkson with this one and a 14-point game on Thursday in a bad loss to the Spurs. His minutes still aren't where they need to be and he's still only turned in 12th-round value in his last 10, but this recent uptick is encouraging. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:06 pm
  • Jeremy Lin remains out for Sunday night
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) will not play on Sunday against the Rockets.

Advice: He wants to play in the next week or so, but some comments from the Nets suggest Lin sitting out is more than just getting him healthy. In other words, Lin is likely out for quite a few games despite how he said he's healing faster than his last hamstring strain. If you're going to stash him, you will need some serious patience. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 2:08 pm
  • Rick Carlisle talking up Seth Curry again
Coach Rick Carlisle said Seth Curry is "sneaky good at the defensive end on metrics and analytics."

Advice: With Andrew Bogut (hamstring) expected to miss plenty of time, it looks like we'll be seeing Curry out there in some starts depending on the matchup. The SportVu defensive tracking stats aren't the best, but Curry is allowing his man to shoot 3.3 percent below league average while he does rank 26th on defensive real plus minus among 99 shooting guards, so Carlisle has a point. However, his fantasy owners will be looking for his offense, so go ahead and pick him up to see what happens. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:59 pm
  • Rajon Rondo remains in the rotation vs. NO
Rajon Rondo will remain in the rotation on Saturday against the Pelicans.

Advice: That means Jerian Grant is likely out of the rotation now that Jimmy Butler is back from illness. Rondo is still not worth owning, especially with the Bulls going with more no-PG lineups. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:27 pm
  • Dwyane Wade to play Saturday, rest Sunday
Dwyane Wade will play on Saturday against the Pelicans and will rest on Sunday against the Grizzlies.

Advice: It's a back-to-back set for Wade, but he should get heavy minutes tonight now that there is a plan in place. He's an interesting option with Jimmy Butler possibly not at 100 percent. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:22 pm
  • Patty Mills (left calf) will not play vs. PHX
Patty Mills (left calf tightness) will not play against the Suns on Saturday.

Advice: Mills doesn't have any noteworthy calf issues in his career, so this is something new. The Spurs can rest him today to give him four full days off before their game on Tuesday against the Wolves. With Dejounte Murray also out, the Spurs will have to be creative with their backup point guard. It would likely be Manu Ginobili while Tony Parker could get a few extra minutes in a great matchup tonight. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:06 pm
  • Celtics send Demetrius Jackson to D-League
Demetrius Jackson has been assigned to the D-League.

Advice: Jackson, who is not a part of the Celtics rotation, has been back and forth between Boston and the D-League multiple times this season. He should not be owned in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:05 am
  • George Hill scores 22 w/ five 3-pointers
George Hill scored 22 points with five 3-pointers in Friday's blowout win over the Pistons.

Advice: He shot a blistering 8-of-13 from the field with four rebounds, one assist and one turnover, but only played 27 minutes due to the lopsided score. Hill is averaging 17.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.8 triples over his last four games since returning from a concussion, but all he has to do now is stay on the court. He's been a top-30 player in standard leagues when you don't factor in the games he's missed. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:09 pm

  • Ty Lawson scores 17 points vs. Cavs
Ty Lawson scored 17 points with four rebounds, four assists and three turnovers in 26 minutes against the Cavs on Friday.

Advice: The Kings are really starting to ditch the two-PG lineups, which is going to hurt Lawson and Darren Collison, who scored 13 points with one rebound, four assists and two 3-pointers. Lawson is trending back down and is only a borderline asset in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:53 pm
  • Pat Beverley has a light scoring game
Patrick Beverley scored six points with two rebounds, three assists, three steals, one block and no turnovers in 33 minutes against the Grizzlies on Friday.

Advice: He is still playing through some wrist soreness, which may explain why he missed all three shots from deep. Beverley was still putting up mid-round value before this wrist issue, so his owners should exercise some patience. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:23 pm
  • Ricky Rubio goes off yet again
Ricky Rubio scored 14 points with four rebounds, 14 assists, four steals and five turnovers in 36 minutes against the Thunder on Friday.

Advice: This may have been his best game with some fantastic defense against Russell Westbrook. Rubio and Karl-Anthony Towns had it working with Rubio assisting him six times. In his last three, Rubio has averaged 12.3 points, 4.0 boards, 15.3 assists (!), 3.3 steals and 3.0 turnovers. Sure he hasn't shot the ball well, but his owners have to be pleased. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:14 pm
  • Russell Westbrook drops 19th triple-double
Russell Westbrook dropped his 19th triple-double of the season during a 96-86 loss to the Wolves on Friday, scoring 21 points with 11 rebounds, 12 assists, two steals and one 3-pointer.

Advice: This was actually a brutal game for him, making just 7-of-23 from the field and turning it over 10 times to give him the bad quad-double. Westbrook was asked about turning in his 19th triple-double to set a record for the most in a season since the merger. "It don't mean [expletive]. We lost," Westbrook said. For what it's worth, the Thunder are 15-4 when Westy drops a triple-double this season. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:52 pm
  • Kyle Lowry drops massive stat line in win
Kyle Lowry filled it up against the Nets during a 132-113 win on Friday, scoring 20 points with six rebounds, six assists, two steals, two blocks and three 3-pointers.

Advice: Those 132 points are a franchise record in a non-OT game. Obviously Lowry's fantasy owners know how good Lowry is with his No. 8 rank on the season, but Lowry is still under appreciated in most NBA circles. Lowry has a 2015-16 Steph-like 64.2 true shooting percentage and is second in the Eastern Conference for real plus minus. He should be starting in the All-Star Game. He may not be this good the rest of the way, but he should still be able to post elite value. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:31 pm
  • Cory Joseph makes all seven from field
Cory Joseph made all seven shots from the field for 16 points against the Nets on Friday with four rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 22 minutes.

Advice: He was limping in the first half after stepping on Rondae Hollis-Jefferson's foot, but he didn't need to miss time after the trainers looked at him briefly. His 7-of-7 shooting line marked his highest total in a game with 100 percent from the field, topping his 6-of-6 from Apr. 8, 2016. Joseph won't have too much value while Kyle Lowry is playing so many minutes. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:06 pm
  • T.J. McConnell looks great again
T.J. McConnell scored four points with three rebounds, eight assists and three steals in 31 minutes against the Hornets on Friday.

Advice: Do you know who has a better winning percentage as a starting point guard than Kyrie Irving, Stephen Curry or really anyone with a handful of starts this year? You bet, it's T.J. McConnell. He has his job locked up with his 6-1 record and should be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:59 pm
  • Deron Williams calls the game in the fourth
Deron Williams called the plays in the fourth quarter on Thursday night.

Advice: D-Will was in a serious groove in the first three quarters as a scorer, but he actually didn't have any points in eight fourth-quarter minutes. Plus, the Mavs were -21.9 in net rating during that time, so technically it didn't work. Among players with fewer than 31 minutes per game, Williams ranks first in touch time per game, so this is a positive for him. He's worth owning in all leagues while he's healthy. Rotoworld.com Friday, 1:51 pm
  • Seth Curry could stick in the starting unit
Coach Rick Carlisle said he likes Seth Curry's ability to play with Deron Williams in the backcourt.

Advice: He was awesome in his 24 minutes as the starter on Thursday, making 4-of-5 from the field for 12 points with three steals. It sure does make a lot of sense from a Curry perspective with Seth posting a wonderful 67.9 true shooting next to Williams in their 289 minutes together -- Williams does see a drop next to Curry. It makes sense to add Curry in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:32 am
  • Chris Paul has excused absence on Friday
Chris Paul had an excused absence during Friday's practice, but he will play vs. the Lakers on Saturday.

Advice: There's nothing to worry about here. CP3 continues to rack up elite fantasy value with extraordinary efficiency, including 4.2 assists for every turnover. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:09 am

  • Orlando expressed interest in Goran Dragic
The Orlando Magic, among other teams, have expressed interest in Goran Dragic, according to ESPN's Zach Lowe.

Advice: Dragic will surely be one of the names that are bandied about over the next month, in the lead-up to February's trade deadline. It's hard to imagine a scenario that is more fantasy-friendly to Dragic than the situation in Miami right now. Dragic is the offensive focal point for the short-handed Heat. His Usage Rate of 26.5 represents a career high. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:08 am
  • Jeremy Lin (hamstring) will not play Friday
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) will not play Friday night in Toronto.

Advice: No surprise here, as Lin has been ruled out indifferently. On Thursday, Lin day say he hoped to return within a "couple of weeks." Lin is a notoriously slow healer, so it should be noted that the team has still not given an official timetable. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:05 am
  • Ricky Rubio focusing on limiting turnovers
Ricky Rubio has made a concerted effort to limit his turnovers this season.

Advice: Rubio is averaging just 3.3 turnovers per 100 possessions this season, far below his previous career-low of 4.1 turnovers per 100 possessions. "I don't get as many turnovers as I used to early in my career. So that's one part that I try to improve," said Rubio in an interview with SI. Rubio is playing some of the best ball of the season of late, averaging 11.7 points and 13.0 assists over the Wolves last three games. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:31 am
  • Seth Curry hits dagger 3 in win
Seth Curry started for the Mavs on Thursday and hit 4-of-5 shots and three 3-pointers for 12 points, four rebounds, one assist, three steals and a block in a 113-108 win over the Suns.

Advice: The Mavs went with a small lineup with Andrew Bogut out with a hamstring injury, and while Curry didn't set the stat sheet on fire, he did play well and hit a clutch 3-pointer late that slammed the door on the Suns. If Bogut continues to miss games and Curry keeps getting starts, he's going to be a popular add in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:41 pm
  • Deron Williams his 9-of-15 shots for dub-dub
Deron Williams hit 9-of-16 shots and four 3-pointers for 23 points and 12 assists in Thursday's win over the Suns.

Advice: This was just his second double-double of the season and it's not surprising, given how bad the Suns are against opposing guards. He's played in 25 straight games and the Mavs have five more on the schedule before a back-to-back on Jan. 25-26. He may sit in one of those, but Williams looks good to go for another week or so. He's got another good matchup on Sunday against Ricky Rubio and the Timberwolves. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:36 pm
  • Rajon Rondo plays 23 minutes in loss
Rajon Rondo played 23 minutes and hit just 2-of-9 shots for four points and eight assists in Thursday's loss to the Knicks.

Advice: The Bulls were awful in the third quarter and Fred Hoiberg went with his bench for most of the fourth. Rondo played seven more minutes than starter Michael Carter-Williams tonight, but it probably doesn't mean too much, as they were both outplayed by Jerian Grant. Rondo's poor shooting from both the field and the free throw line, along with his seven points per game, make him a shaky fantasy investment, unless you're desperate at point guard. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:04 pm
  • Dwyane Wade scores 22 in return to action
Dwyane Wade returned from a rest and played 33 minutes on Thursday, hitting 9-of-20 shots for 22 points, three rebounds and three assists in an ugly loss to the Knicks.

Advice: The Bulls hit just 5-of-21 shots in the third quarter and Wade hit most of those, causing Fred Hoiberg to go with his bench for much of the second half. Wade was the only regular to play his normal allotment of minutes tonight and has scored at least 20 points in three straight games. The Bulls have a back-to-back set on Saturday and Sunday, so it will be interesting to see if Wade plays in both of them. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:43 pm
  • Seth Curry joins Mavericks starters Thursday
Seth Curry will start at shooting guard for the Mavericks on Thursday, joining Deron Williams, Wesley Matthews, Harrison Barnes and Dirk Nowitzki.

Advice: Andrew Bogut (hamstring) is out for the Mavs and they're going with a small lineup against the Suns. Without Bogut, Dwight Powell could have a nice game, but we'd like him more if he was starting. If you threw Seth Curry into a DFS lineup tonight, things are off to a good start with the news that he's starting. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:03 pm
  • Dwyane Wade will start on Thursday
Dwyane Wade will start against the Knicks on Thursday.

Advice: He is not expected to be limited and he may be very busy with Jimmy Butler (illness) out tonight. Wade is a DFS option tonight, especially with how awful the Knicks have been on defense lately. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 3:48 pm
  • Jeremy Lin expecting to return in 1-2 weeks?
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) said in a Chinese-language video he is hopeful to return in a couple weeks.

Advice: He said the recovery is progressing faster than last time. Lin has said he's going through some strengthen tests on his hamstring. The Nets obviously won't be rushing him back and there's a chance he is out beyond the two weeks. He's worth a stash, but he doesn't have a specific target date. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:55 am
  • Rajon Rondo will be the sixth man on Thursday
Rajon Rondo will be the sixth man off the bench on Thursday vs. the Knicks.

Advice: Rondo was in the doghouse with five straight DNP-CDs, but he returned to the rotation on Tuesday vs. the Wizards and hit 6-of-13 shots for 12 points, four rebounds, six assists and three steals in 27 minutes. With Jimmy Butler (illness) out again, Rondo is looking at another decent workload. If you want to take a chance on him, now would be the time to pick him back up with three more games on the schedule this week. He will need another strong game in order to keep his spot in the rotation with Butler expected back on Saturday, but coach Fred Hoiberg did say that he wants Rondo to be the leader of the second unit moving forward. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:09 am
  • Brett Brown praises T.J. McConnell
76ers coach Brett Brown praised T.J. McConnell for running away with the starting PG role.

Advice: "He seized the moment, grabbed an opportunity and he ran hard with it," Brown said. "The preparation prior to that opportunity happening for him was A-plus. … To see him be rewarded, it’s a great story." This quote comes on the heels of McConnel's game-winning shot on Wednesday, but it's safe to say that he has locked himself into the starting role. The 76ers are 5-1 when he starts with averages of 9.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 1.7 steals, so pick him up if you need guard help. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:06 am
  • Alec Burks says he's making progress
Alec Burks said he feels like he is "back to where I was before I got hurt" after playing extended minutes in the D-Leauge on Wednesday.

Advice: "Yeah. I’m fast," Burks said. "That’s what I guess [the Jazz] wanted to see. When I found out my leg was good and steady and stable, I knew I was going to be back, as aggressive as I was." Burks scored 17 points, but only shot 5-of-17 from the floor and is still shaking off some rust. He's not expected to spend more time in the D-League, but it's going to be hard for him to find minutes on the Jazz as they have one of the deepest rosters in the West. He needs a trade in order to have value. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:13 am

  • Raymond Felton hits 4-of-6 shots in 16 mins
Raymond Felton came off the bench vs. Orlando on Wednesday, making 4-of-6 shots to finish with eight points and three boards in 17 minutes.

Advice: Felton started L.A.'s last game, but he returned to the second unit with Austin Rivers healthy tonight. Felton can be ignored in most leagues, but he's an interesting streaming play when injuries strike L.A.'s backcourt. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:31 pm
  • Austin Rivers returns in 33 mins Wednesday
Austin Rivers (illness) returned to action on Wednesday with nine points, five assists, four rebounds and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes of action.

Advice: Rivers moved back into the starting five alongside Chris Paul, J.J. Redick, Luc Mbah a Moute and DeAndre Jordan, as the Clippers continue to go small in the absence of Blake Griffin (knee). He's worth a glance if you need points, 3-pointers and a dash of assists, but he's not a well-rounded roto option. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:30 pm
  • Chris Paul racks up 18/7/6 w/ four steals Wed
Chris Paul logged 33 minutes during Wednesday's victory, finishing with 18 points (6-of-13 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), seven boards, six assists, four steals and one block.

Advice: This is CP3's highest playing time since returning from a strained hamstring three games ago. Doc Rivers said after Sunday's game, "I think [Paul] is good, but we are [regulating his minutes] anyway." His 33 minutes tonight exceed his season average of 31.4 per game, so any restriction appears to have been lifted. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:26 pm

  • Ricky Rubio ties career-high with 17 assists
Ricky Rubio tied his career-high with 17 assists during Wednesday's home victory, adding 10 points, three rebounds, one steal and just one turnover in 35 minutes.

Advice: The Wolves improved to 7-1 when Rubio gets double-digit assists this season, so his 32 dimes over the past two games are a very good sign. It's the most assists he's had in a two-game span at any point in his career. His touches and assists will likely dip once Zach LaVine (hip) returns, but either way his slow start to the season is rapidly fading in the distance. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:07 pm
  • Russell Westbrook drops 18th triple-double
Russell Westbrook turned in his 18th triple-double on the season during a 103-95 win over the Grizzlies on Wednesday, scoring 24 points with 13 rebounds, 12 assists, two steals, one block and six turnovers in 37 minutes.

Advice: The Grizzlies actually defended him well in this game with Westbrook only making 6-of-19 from the field. That's not too surprising after they help him assists-less in their last game -- he was also ejected in the second half. This was also the first time he's had a triple-double against the Grizzlies in a regular season game -- the Grizzlies have 10 as a franchise and Westy has three playoff triple-doubles in his career. Westbrook should have a field day against the Wolves on Friday. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:02 pm
  • Patrick Beverley (wrist) scoreless in 34 mins
Patrick Beverley had four assists, three rebounds, three assists and one block in 34 minutes on Wednesday, but he also failed to score while missing all five of his shot attempts.

Advice: Bev has been dealing with a wrist injury since late December, and he's repeatedly emphasized how much it hurts, but he continues to tough it out. He's a gladiator and we're leaving him off the injury report. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:59 pm
  • T.J. McConnell sinks game-winner in comeback
T.J. McConnell sank a game-winner to escape with a 98-97 victory on Wednesday, finishing with eight points on 4-of-6 shooting, seven assists, six rebounds and two steals.

Advice: McConnell said that tonight's clutch bucket was the first game-winner he's ever made. He's seized the starting job from Sergio Rodriguez (four assists in 14 minutes), and he's converting heavy minutes into January averages of 9.2 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals. The scoring hasn't been there, at just 8.8 points per game, and he's made only six 3-pointers all season, but he's well worth owning if you need some PG help. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:16 pm
  • Raymond Felton headed to bench Wednesday
Raymond Felton will likely shift to the bench with Austin Rivers returning to the starting lineup on Wednesday.

Advice: Rivers missed Sunday's game with the flu but he's healthy tonight, so the veteran Felton's minutes should take a significant hit. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 5:56 pm
  • Austin Rivers (illness) will start vs. Magic
Austin Rivers (illness) will start against the Magic on Wednesday.

Advice: His dad is also well enough to coach tonight. Rivers absolutely went off against the Magic in their last game on Dec. 14 with 25 points, so maybe he can have another big outing. Because he's playing well these days, Rivers is worth a look in standard leagues while he's going strong. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 5:54 pm
  • Jeremy Lin out again for Thursday night
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) is out again for Thursday night against the Pelicans.

Advice: This will be his eighth game out of the lineup. Lin doesn't have a timetable to return and clearly the Nets won't be in a hurry to bring him back after he aggravated his hamstring strain. With him out, we've seen some Spencer Dinwiddie as the backup point guard and Isaiah Whitehead splitting the minutes as the starter. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 1:54 pm
  • George Hill goes for 13 & 7 in win
George Hill hit 5-of-11 shots and two 3-pointers for 13 points, three rebounds and seven assists in Tuesday's 100-92 win over the Cavaliers.

Advice: He's been back for three games and is averaging 15.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.0 3-pointers since his return. Now owners just need to get Hill back in the lineup and hope he doesn't go down again. After a very hot start to the season, Hill missed all but two December games with a concussion and a toe injury. • Kyle Lowry hits five 3-pointers in win
Kyle Lowry hit 7-of-12 shots and five 3-pointers for 24 points, four rebounds, nine assists, two steals and a block in Tuesday's 114-106 win over the Celtics.

Advice: Lowry, Jonas Valanciunas and DeMar DeRozan all had big nights and collectively carried their team to the win. Lowry's had a couple quiet nights recently, but has also played very well in most of his games this season. He's got a decent shot at making the All-Star Team for the East. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:24 pm
  • Rajon Rondo plays well in return to rotation
Rajon Rondo returned from a five-game absence to play 27 minutes and hit 6-of-13 shots for 12 points, four rebounds, six assists and three steals in Tuesday's 101-99 loss to the Wizards.

Advice: Rondo may be slowly climbing out of the doghouse, but he may not have even played tonight had Jimmy Butler (illness), Nikola Mirotic (illness) and Dwyane Wade (rest) been active. If you've got a spot and want to take a flier on Rondo without dropping anyone too valuable, now looks like as good a time as any to grab the disgruntled star. Especially since Fred Hoiberg said after the game that Rondo's performance "should allow him to get some more minutes moving forward." Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:44 pm
  • Rajon Rondo to serve as Sixth Man on Tuesday
Rajon Rondo will back in the rotation for the shorthanded Bulls on Tuesday night vs. Washington, serving as the Sixth Man.

Advice: Rondo has been slapped with five straight DNP-CD's, but with Jimmy Butler (illness) and Dwyane Wade (rest) out for Tuesday, Coach Fred Hoiberg's hand was forced. Rondo will serve as the first guard off the bench, with Jerian Grant and Michael Carter-Williams starting in the backcourt. Rondo is still obviously in the doghouse, so he can be left on the waiver wire for now. We can assume Rondo will be buried on the bench once Butler and Wade return. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 2:46 pm
  • Rivers (illness) probable for Wednesday
Austin Rivers (illness) returned to practiced with the team on Tuesday and appears probable for Wednesday's game vs. Orlando.

Advice: Rivers missed Sunday's game vs. Miami due to the flu bug that has rampaged the NBA. In his previous four games, Rivers was averaging 18.8 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.8 rebounds in 37.9 minutes. However, with Chris Paul back in the mix, Rivers will not see the same amount of extended playing time. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:11 am
  • Rajon Rondo could 'potentially' play Tuesday
Rajon Rondo could "potentially" play on Tuesday vs. the Wizards.

Advice: Rondo has now picked up five straight DNP-CDs, but with Jimmy Butler (illness) and Dwyane Wade (rest) out for Tuesday, there's a slight chance we could get a Rondo sighting. However, it's never been more obvious that he's in the doghouse, so fantasy owners can leave him on the wire as long as he remains in Chicago or until his situation changes. • Ricky Rubio hands out 15 assists w/ 5 steals
Ricky Rubio dished out a season-high 15 assists with 13 points (3-of-9 FGs) in Monday's 101-92 win over the Mavericks.

Advice: It was an incredible performance from Rubio and he also racked up five steals with five rebounds in 30 minutes. Since entering the league in 2011, no other player has more 4x5 games than Rubio's 16. Zach LaVine left the game with a hip injury and didn't return, so Rubio could have the ball in his hands a bit more moving forward -- Rubio's usage rate rises from 12.4 to 15.0 when LaVine is off the court. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 8:34 pm
  • Russell Westbrook scores 21 w/ 14 assists
Russell Westbrook scored 24 points on 9-of-18 shooting with 14 assists, nine rebounds, one steal, one triple and three turnovers against the Bulls on Monday.

Advice: Westbrook's 3-point attempts are way up and he attempted a whopping 49 triples in his last four games, hitting them at a 38.7 percent clip. He was just 1-of-7 from deep tonight, but Thunder coach Billy Donovan doesn't seem to mind. "When he gets a couple in a row, I think you have to let him maybe take a couple more that may look highly contested or difficult, because he can make them." Westbrook will look to get some revenge against Memphis on Wednesday after he was ejected in their previous meeting. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 8:01 pm
  • Dwyane Wade (rest) will not play Tuesday
Dwyane Wade (rest) will not play on Tuesday vs. the Wizards.

Advice: The good news is that Wade played through a minor neck issue on Monday vs. the Thunder after a brief trip to the locker room, finishing with 22 points (7-of-16 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs) with six assists, four rebounds, one block and two triples in 28 minutes. With Jimmy Butler (illness) also out, Nikola Mirotic and Doug McDermott will be decent streaming options vs. the Wizards. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 7:29 pm
  • Dwyane Wade checks back into game
Dwyane Wade (neck) checked back into Monday's game vs. the Thunder.

Advice: He was only in the locker room for a couple moments after colliding with teammate Nikola Mirotic. The Bulls will have an update after the game, but Wade should be fine. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 5:37 pm
  • Dwyane Wade (neck) goes to locker room
Dwyane Wade (neck) left Monday's game vs. the Thunder and went back to the locker room.

Advice: He collided with Nikola Mirotic and it looked like he jammed his neck. Wade was able to get up and walk to the locker room under his own power, but we should know more about his availability soon. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 5:27 pm
  • Alec Burks recalled from D-League
The Jazz have recalled Alec Burks, Raul Neto and Dante Exum from the D-League.

Advice: They were assigned to the D-League for just a few hours in order to get an extra practice in. None of these plays have any value in standard leagues at the moment. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 3:52 pm

  • Jeremy Lin (hamstring) out Tuesday vs. ATL
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Hawks.

Advice: He remains without an official timetable to return, and thus far, we haven't had any reports of him ramping up his activities at practice. It doesn't seem like Lin is close to a return, so he's a cut-candidate in leagues without an IR-spot. Isaiah Whitehead, Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert will continue to split Lin's minutes, with LeVert offering the most upside out of that group. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 1:57 pm
  • Clarkson fined $15k for Friday altercation
Jordan Clarkson has been fined $15k by the NBA for "throwing a forearm above the shoulders" to Goran Dragic during Friday's game.

Advice: Clarkson was promptly ejected from that game, but luckily for his owners, he'll only be facing a fine and not a suspension. Clarkson has been a bit of a disappointment this season, with just late-round value on the year, but an injury or trade to one of the guys in Los Angeles' backcourt could turn his season around. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 11:53 am
  • Alec Burks sent down for a D-League stint
Alec Burks has been assigned to Utah's D-League affiliate.

Advice: Burks is still being eased back into things after being sidelined for roughly a year, so he'll get in some practice with Utah's D-League squad. Burks will be working with a strict minutes limit for the foreseeable future, so there's no reason to own him anywhere. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 11:23 am

  • Wade to play Monday, will likely rest Tuesday
Dwyane Wade will play on Monday vs. the Thunder, but he will likely be rested on Tuesday vs. the Wizards.

Advice: The Bulls play five times in Week 12, so Wade's owners shouldn't be surprised. Jimmy Butler (illness) is a game-time call on Monday, so Wade will be a strong DFS play if Butler can't give it a go. As for Tuesday, look for Doug McDermott and Nikola Mirotic to benefit in his absence. For what it's worth, Wade has a 38.2 usage rate with Butler off the court compared to 24.5 when they share the floor. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 9:03 am
  • Celtics recall Demetrius Jackson
The Celtics have recalled Demetrius Jackson from the D-League.

Advice: He was in the D-League for less than 24 hours. Even with Avery Bradley (Achilles) banged up, Jackson is not going to be in the rotation. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 8:05 am
  • Jordan Clarkson plays 29 minutes off bench
Jordan Clarkson played 29 minutes off the bench on Sunday, finishing with nine points, four boards, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Clarkson was in danger of a suspension for his dust-up with Goran Dragic on Friday, but he was fortunate enough to avoid further punishment from the league. He's also dealing with a right elbow contusion and bursitis, though neither injury is serious enough to include him on Rotoworld's injury report. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 10:43 pm
  • Ty Lawson scores 15 points in loss to GSW
Ty Lawson finished Sunday's home loss with 15 points, three assists and two rebounds in 22 minutes.

Advice: Lawson came off the bench tonight and he continues to bounce around the rotation depending upon matchups and the whims of coach Dave Joerger. The good news is that he made 4-of-8 FGs and 7-of-8 FTs tonight, so it wasn't that bad of a return for his owners. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 9:55 pm
  • George Hill scores 15 pts in loss to Memphis
George Hill scored 15 points with four rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in a sloppy loss to the Grizzlies on Sunday.

Advice: Hill recently returned from a concussion and severe facial laceration, but the fact that he played in back-to-back games confirms he's fine. Utah's prized offseason acquisition has been awesome when healthy this season, posting early-round roto value, and his owners just have to hope he avoids another fluky injury. • Alec Burks plays two minutes Sunday
Alec Burks played only two minutes during the second half of Utah's back-to-back set on Sunday.

Advice: The Jazz are being extremely cautious with Burks, who is coming off ankle surgery, and coach Quin Snyder recently said that integrating him will be "a long process." The Jazz have "a lot of options on the wing," Snyder said, and there's no reason to touch Burks outside of the deepest leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 8:03 pm

  • Ty Lawson heads to the bench
Ty Lawson will move to the bench in Sunday’s game against the Warriors.

Advice: With Garrett Temple starting at shooting guard, Darren Collison will start at point guard. Anthony Tolliver also got the start, moving Matt Barnes to the bench as well. Lawson's minutes should not be affected much by this move. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 6:11 pm
  • Jordan Clarkson (elbow) available Sunday
Jordan Clarkson (elbow) is available to play on Sunday.

Advice: He was fortunate to avoid a suspension due to Friday's shot to Goran Dragic, and his elbow bruise isn't serious enough to limit him. Deploy him as normal in the Lakers' home game vs. Orlando. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 5:07 pm
  • Raymond Felton hits 3-of-11 shots in start
Raymond Felton started on Sunday sans Austin Rivers (flu) and scored seven points on 3-of-11 shooting with seven boards, five assists, two steals, one 3-pointer and one turnover in 37 minutes.

Advice: The Clippers are off until Wednesday, so there's a good chance Rivers will be fully recovered by then, which would likely queue the end of Felton's run with the starting unit. Felton isn't worth owning in most leagues while J.J. Redick and Chris Paul are healthy. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 4:16 pm
  • Chris Paul posts 19-point, 18-assist dub-dub
Chris Paul posted a monster 19-point, 18-assist double-double during Sunday's win over the Heat, adding six rebounds, two steals, one 3-pointer and one turnover in just 29 minutes of action.

Advice: In typical CP3 fashion, he went 7-of-11 from the field and 4-of-5 from the charity stripe, giving him a sterling 72.0 true shooting percentage on the evening. He also become just the 10th player in NBA history to amass 8,000 career assists, and with 806 games played over his 12-year career, he also became the third-fastest player to reach the 15,000-point, 8,000-dime plateau. He currently ranks No. 7 overall in 9-cat leagues, but he could easily be a top-3 option after the All-Star break. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 3:53 pm

  • Goran Dragic scores 24 points with five dimes
Goran Dragic scored 24 points on 9-of-18 shooting Sunday, to go with two 3-pointers, five boards, five assists, one steal and five turnovers in 42 minutes.

Advice: Dragic was forced into heavy minutes with Josh Richardson (foot) hitting the sidelines, and if Richardson is forced into an extended absence, Dragic is going to be forced into a heavy workload for the injury-ridden Heat. Dragic's 3.1 turnovers per game have weighed him down to a seventh-round evaluation in standard 9-cat leagues, but he's a top-50 stud in the 8-cat format. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 3:12 pm
  • Raymond Felton will start sans Rivers vs. MIA
Raymond Felton will enter the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Heat, with Austin Rivers (flu) unavailable.

Advice: Chris Paul, J.J. Redick, Luc Mbah a Moute and DeAndre Jordan will join Felton in the starting lineup for today's game, but with Paul and Redick healthy and set to take on most of the offensive burden, Felton isn't all that attractive of a fantasy target despite the increased opportunity. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 12:19 pm
  • T.J. McConnell hands out six dimes in win
T.J. McConnell went 2-of-11 from the field during Sunday's win over the Nets, on his way to four points, eight boards, six assists, two steals and two turnovers in 36 minutes.

Advice: McConnell's shot wasn't falling, but he still found a way to make a positive impression on the stat sheet, and over the past four games as a starter he's put in averages of 9.0 points, 9.8 dimes, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and just 2.0 turnovers per game. It was encouraging to see him stick in the starting five despite the return of Sergio Rodriguez (ankle) and with Philly winning three of their past four with McConnell at the helm, that trend will likely continue. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 12:14 pm
  • Austin Rivers (illness) ruled out Sunday
Austin Rivers (illness) will not play on Sunday vs. the Heat.

Advice: Rivers has been playing an average of 33.2 minutes over his last five games, so his absence will open the door for Raymond Felton and Jamal Crawford to see more minutes in a great matchup. Rivers should be relevant until Blake Griffin (knee) returns with averages of 16.8 points, 4.0 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.8 triples over his last five, but the Clippers only play twice in Week 12. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 10:56 am
  • T.J. McConnell will start on Sunday vs. Nets
T.J. McConnell will keep his starting job on Sunday vs. the Nets even with Sergio Rodriguez (ankle) returning.

Advice: More importantly, coach Brett Brown said McConnell "could continue" to get starters minutes moving forward. This move makes a lot of sense because McConnell has looked great in four starts, averaging 11.0 points, 10.5 assists, 5.8 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 0.8 triples in that span. He looks like a solid flier in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 7:40 am
  • Demetrius Jackson assigned to D-League
Demetrius Jackson has been assigned to the D-League.

Advice: He wasn't in the rotation on Saturday even with Avery Bradley (Achilles) out. Jackson has zero fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 7:05 am
  • Heat's asking price for Dragic is 'too high'
The Heat's asking price for Goran Dragic is still "too high" to encourage any serious trade discussions according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Advice: There is still plenty of time for the Heat to lower their price, and it's no secret that dealing Dragic for younger pieces and a draft pick(s) would speed up their rebuild. A trade wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing because there are a lot of teams that could use an upgrade at the point, but on the other hand this means that Tyler Johnson and Josh Richardson (foot) should be owned in all standard leagues. Dragic is on the books through the 2019-20 season, so the Heat aren't just going to give him away. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 6:52 am
  • Kyle Lowry nearly triple-doubles in loss
Kyle Lowry scored 27 points with 12 assists, nine rebounds, three steals, one block and two 3-pointers in 44 minutes on Saturday against the Bulls.

Advice: He recorded his sixth double-double of the season and is starting off the New Year red hot, averaging 38.3 minutes, 26.8 points, 6.5 assists, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. He continues to be one of the league’s best point guards and after a career-year in 2015-16, he is having an even better season this year. Sign him up for an All-Star spot. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 8:56 pm
  • Seth Curry gets just 13 minutes vs. ATL
Seth Curry did not score in 13 minutes against the Hawks on Saturday with one assist.

Advice: The return of J.J. Barea really hurt Curry for this game. He'll likely get another chance at some point and would get a big boost in minutes with basically any injury to another guard. He's a stash right now. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 8:54 pm
  • George Hill plays 33 minutes in return
George Hill played 33 minutes in his return to the lineup during a 94-92 win over the Wolves on Saturday, scoring 19 points with five rebounds, seven assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.

Advice: What happened to the minutes limit? He played the entire fourth quarter despite the talk of him only playing 3-5 minute stints. The performance side of things has certainly been there with his second-round value per game on the season. Plus, the Jazz are an impressive 11-3 with G-Hill in the lineup. He really just needs to stay on the court and there's a good chance he will after a litany of strange injuries this season. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 8:52 pm

  • Dwyane Wade scores 20 points in win
Dwyane Wade scored 20 points with seven assists, four rebounds, one block and one 3-pointer in a season-high 38 minutes in Saturday’s overtime win against the Raptors.

Advice: Wade, who was bothered by his knee, appeared to be just fine in this contest and was able to play the most minutes he has all season. The Bulls have several back-to-back games in January, so we could see him get some nights off during the month. He had a rocky second half of December, but has now scored 20 points in two of his last four games. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 8:45 pm
  • Russell Westbrook drops another trip-dub
Russell Westbrook posted his 17th triple-double of the season during a 121-106 win over the Nuggets on Saturday, scoring 32 points with 17 rebounds, 11 assists, three steals and seven 3-pointers.

Advice: When Westbrook is hitting seven treys, it's pretty much a wrap, as his coach knows. "When he's got it going, I want him to heat-check a little bit," coach Billy Donovan said. Westbrook's rebounding numbers have been center-like and he has more of those than assists this season. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 8:22 pm
  • J.J. Barea scores seven, hits minutes limit
J.J. Barea hit his minutes limit against the Hawks on Saturday, finishing with seven points, four rebounds, seven assists and one 3-pointer in 17 minutes.

Advice: That's a solid game after he's played just two games in the last seven weeks. The Mavs will be taking it easy on the injury-prone guard, so don't expect him to get over 24 minutes in the next week or so. He's worth a look in deep leagues, but fantasy owners may not want to cut something they're going to miss. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 7:35 pm
  • George Hill getting the start on Saturday
George Hill (concussion) will get the start against the Wolves on Saturday.

Advice: In case you missed it, he's likely only going to get stints in the 3-5 minutes range, so he's likely going to be capped at 20 minutes. That means Shelvin Mack should still be able to get around 20 minutes, but is still not a fantasy option. Hill should be starting in all leagues and hopefully he can stay on the court this time around. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 4:14 pm

George Hill (concussion) likely will play him in 3-5 minute stints instead of 8-9 on Saturday night against the Wolves.

Advice: He'll likely get either three or four stints, so Hill is likely only looking at 15-20 minutes tonight. He had his sutures out on Friday and was fitted for a mouthpiece, as well. Hill isn't a DFS option tonight, but owners in season-long leagues should get him back in their lineups. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 3:59 pm

  • Jordan Clarkson (elbow) probable for Sunday
Jordan Clarkson (elbow) is probable to play on Sunday against the Magic.

Advice: We'll see if he gets any additional punishment for his scuffle with Goran Dragic on Friday. For now, Clarkson should be all set as a low-end asset in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 1:39 pm
  • Jeremy Lin (hamstring) ruled out for Sunday
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday against the 76ers.

Advice: While his hamstring strain is not at bad as the last one, the Nets are going to be very, very careful to prevent another injury to their point guard. With Lin out again, Isaiah Whitehead should get most of the minutes at the one after Spencer Dinwiddie laid an egg on Friday. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 1:09 pm
  • George Hill cleared to play on Saturday night
George Hill (lip, concussion) has been cleared to play in Saturday's game against the Wolves.

Advice: He has gone through each step of the concussion protocol and has been symptom-free in the process. Hill suffered his concussion on Saturday and missed the last three games. He may have a slight limit on his minutes tonight, but obviously go ahead and get him in your lineup. Shelvin Mack takes a bit hit. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 12:17 pm

  • CP3 (hamstring) 'feels great' after game
Chris Paul said he felt "great" after playing 31 minutes in his return to the Clippers lineup on Friday night.

Advice: When asked how his hamstring felt after the game, Paul responded: "It feels great. That’s a good thing. I don’t feel nothing... came out unscathed." He certainly looked just fine, tallying 14 points, six rebounds, 12 assists, three steals in the Clippers victory. • J.J. Barea (leg) says he will play Saturday
J.J. Barea (left leg muscle strain) told reporters that he will play on Saturday vs. the Hawks.

Advice: Barea has appeared in just two games over the last seven weeks but appears finally ready to return from his second significant leg injury of the season. However, Barea's fantasy upside is capped even when he is 100 percent healthy, as he will be splitting time off the Mavs bench with fellow backup guards Seth Curry and Devin Harris. • J.J. Barea (leg) is questionable for Saturday
J.J. Barea (left leg muscle strain) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. Atlanta.

Advice: Barea has played a total of just 20 minutes over two games since November 18th but has been inching closer to a return recently, as he has reportedly ramped up his activity in practice this week. When Barea returns to the lineup, he will cut into the playing time of Seth Curry and Devin Harris. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 7:15 am
  • Raymond Felton scores five off bench
Raymond Felton scored five points off the bench against the Kings on Friday, adding three rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes.

Advice: He'll be going back to his old role as the backup point guard. Felton rarely plays next to Chris Paul, so he'll be hovering around 20 minutes most nights. He's a drop candidate. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 10:43 pm
  • Austin Rivers scores 24 points in win
Austin Rivers started on the wing against the Kings on Friday, finishing with 24 points, six rebounds, two assists and four 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

Advice: He was on fire with 18 points in the first half. Rivers has looked lightning quick on the offensive side to offset his defensive issues, so his dad is willing to deal with the trade off. Rivers is not going to be this good most nights, so he's more of a 16-team guy right now. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 10:39 pm
  • Ty Lawson gets the start, scores 17 points
Ty Lawson started on Friday with 17 points, four rebounds, six assists, one steal and two turnovers in 37 minutes against the Clippers.

Advice: Coach Dave Joerger finally pulled the trigger to put Lawson in the first unit and did so with Darren Collison, who had 20 points with five rebounds in the loss. Lawson should be looking at minutes in the low 30s going forward, especially with how well he plays next to DeMarcus Cousins. If you need a point guard, he could be your guy. • Goran Dragic ejected on Friday vs. Lakers
Goran Dragic was ejected on Friday vs. the Lakers.

Advice: It wasn't anything too serious, as Dragic got involved in a scuffle with Jordan Clarkson and made contact with an official. • Jordan Clarkson ejected on Friday night
Jordan Clarkson was ejected on Friday night.

Advice: He deserved the ejection. Clarkson got into it with Goran Dragic and raised his hands like a boxer, so he clearly lost his cool. The NBA could look at this because Clarkson did make some contact with Dragic's neck. He'll likely get at least a fine on top of this. Clarkson finished with four points in 10 minutes.
