  • Ivica Zubac quiet vs. Pistons on Sunday
Lakers' center Ivica Zubac finished Sunday's home loss to the Pistons with four points, five boards, two blocks and one assist in nine minutes.

Advice: The Lakers intend to get 19-year-old Zubac more minutes as the season continues. Lakers coach Luke Walton said the staff is "making an effort to get Zubac more minutes ... He's been working hard and playing well in practices." He's an interesting rest-of-season option, but doesn't have much appeal for owners who need immediate value. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:57 pm
  • Ish Smith back in Pistons' rotation Sunday
Ish Smith was back in the Pistons' rotation on Sunday, coming off the bench for six points on 3-of-7 shooting, six assists, two assists and one rebound in 30 minutes.

Advice: Stan Van Gundy said he wanted to give Smith a game off "to sit and recalibrate," though it's not clear what the veteran guard was 'recalibrating' from in the first place. Smith would only be worth considering if Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's shoulder injury proves to be a long-term issue. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:39 pm
  • Luol Deng plays team-high 36 minutes
Luol Deng returned from a rest day on Sunday with two points, seven rebounds, one assist and one steal, making 1-of-6 shots in a team-high 36 minutes of action.

Advice: Deng has had some nice stretches for the Lakers this year, but his rest-of-season outlook is shaky at best. As a 13-year veteran on a team that should increasingly emphasize player development down the stretch, Deng is a borderline cut in 12-team leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:37 pm

  • Reggie Bullock quiet as fill-in starter
Reggie Bullock started for the short-handed Pistons on Sunday, but he committed five fouls in 29 minutes to finish with four points, one rebound, one assist and one steal.

Advice: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) and Jon Leuer (knee) were both out tonight, and the Pistons didn't want to go big with Aron Baynes in a matchup vs. the Lakers. Bullock's playing time was robust, considering his foul trouble, and he's just a short-term option in deeper leagues while KCP is out of commission. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:35 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver plays 31 minutes vs. OKC
Anthony Tolliver scored 10 points with four rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes against the Thunder on Sunday.

Advice: Tolliver started in his fourth consecutive game tonight and has played over 30 minutes in each of his starts. During that stretch, he is averaging 33.3 minutes, 12.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 2.3 treys per game. Coach Dave Joerger likes to mix it up with his starting five, so at any moment Tolliver could head back to his bench role. However, until that happens, he is worth considering in deeper leagues for fantasy owners in need of 3-pointers and steals. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:27 pm
  • Doug McDermott scores career-high 31 points
Doug McDermott scored 20 of his career-high 31 points during in the second quarter of Sunday's road win in Charlotte, finishing 9-of-16 from the field and 10-of-11 from the line.

Advice: McDermott caught fire in the first half and helped the Bulls escape with a 108-104 road win, benefiting from extra minutes with Nikola Mirotic (illness) unavailable tonight. The third-year SF out of Creighton has had some nice moments over the past month, but tonight's eruption (against a tough Grizzlies' defense) doesn't necessarily make him worth owning. He added six boards, one steal and one block tonight, but for standard-league purposes he's only worth owning if you need a 3-point specialist. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:18 pm
  • Cristiano Felicio OK after eye injury Sunday
Cristiano Felicio came off the Bulls' bench on Sunday with four points, one rebound and one steal in 11 minutes.

Advice: The Bulls' backup big man was poked in the eye tonight, requiring some attention from team trainers. We're leaving him off the injury report, but deep-league owners should keep an eye out for updates. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:13 pm
  • Paul Zipser starts, play 15 minutes Sunday
Paul Zipser started Sunday's game in place of Dwyane Wade (rest), finishing with five points, two rebounds and three turnovers in 15 minutes.

Advice: It was a tough matchup vs. the Grizzlies' defense, but that's hardly the only reason to avoid Zipser, a 22-year-old rookie taken by Chicago at No. 48 overall this season. Wade is due back on Tuesday, kicking off the Bulls' three-game week, and we're unlikely to hear much from Zipser until a back-to-back set on Jan. 24-25. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:04 pm
  • Ty Lawson exits Sunday's game vs. OKC
Ty Lawson (ankle) twisted his left ankle and will miss the remainder of Sunday's game against the Thunder.

Advice: Lawson played 20 minutes and scored four points with four assists, one rebound and one steal before leaving the game. If he misses any time, Darren Collison and Garrett Temple will get a boost. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:22 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead (knee) returns, plays 15 min
Isaiah Whitehead (knee) returned from a one-game absence on Sunday with six points, four assists, three rebounds and one 3-pointer in 15 minutes vs. the Rockets.

Advice: Whitehead came off the bench behind Spencer Dinwiddie, who chipped in eight dimes in 24 minutes as a starter. Jeremy Lin (hamstring) has been sidelined for most of the season and his return date is still something of a mystery, but it's hard to trust either Whitehead or Dinwiddie while they're pitched in a position battle. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:20 pm
  • Spencer Dinwiddie starts, plays 24 minutes
Spencer Dinwiddie earned another start on Sunday despite the return of Isaiah Whitehead (knee), going scoreless on 0-of-3 shooting with eight assists and two rebounds in 24 minutes.

Advice: The Nets announced their starting lineup well after the 6pm start time, frustrating owners who were hoping to rely on Dinwiddie or Whitehead, though neither guy did much tonight. Dinwiddie's assists were nice, and he might have played more if he weren't in foul trouble, but with Whitehead active he's a dubious option in any format. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:12 pm
  • Paul Zipser will start on Sunday vs. Memphis
Paul Zipser will move into the starting lineup on Sunday vs. the Grizzlies.

Advice: With Nikola Mirotic (illness) and Dwyane Wade (rest) out tonight, Zipser will get some run. He started on Jan. 12 against the Knicks and played 34 minutes, scoring seven points with five rebounds and two assists. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:47 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead (knee) available to play
Isaiah Whitehead (knee) will be available to play Sunday vs. the Rockets.

Advice: He could start, which would send Spencer Dinwiddie back to the bench, but even as a starter Whitehead isn't worth a roster spot in almost any setting. Dinwiddie is also a non-option in most leagues regardless of how he enters the game. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 12:45 pm
  • Reggie Bullock will start Sunday vs. Lakers
Reggie Bullock will move into the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Lakers, with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) unavailable.

Advice: This likely means that Aron Baynes is headed back to the bench. Bullock is a solid defender, but a pretty low usage rate guy, so he's not all that attractive of an option despite the increased opportunity as a starter. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:39 am
  • Willie Reed (sternum) limited at practice Sun
Willie Reed (bruised sternum) was a limited participant during Sunday's practice.

Advice: "During the non-contact part, there was some soreness," Reed said. "All in all, I’m fine. We’re just going to see how it feels when you take a blow to it. That’s the biggest key." With Reed on the sidelines, James Johnson has been forced into heavy minutes, earning some run at the five-spot in small ball lineups when Hassan Whiteside goes to the bench. Reed isn't worth a roster spot anywhere. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:14 am
  • Joe Ingles scores eight points in 10 mins
Joe Ingles scored eight points with two rebounds, one assist and two 3-pointers in 10 minutes against Orlando on Saturday.

Advice: He did not see much run in this contest, but Rodney Hood (knee) suffered a hyperextended knee tonight, so Ingles could be in for a larger role if Hood misses. In the five games that Hood has missed this season, Ingles is averaging 33.4 minutes, 15.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.6 steals, while making 17 3-pointers during that stretch. He can be considered a DFS value play if Hood is out. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:46 pm
  • Dante Exum a non-factor vs. Orlando
Dante Exum scored two points in seven minutes with one assist in Saturday’s win against the Magic.

Advice: Exum appears to have fallen behind in Utah’s backcourt rotation. Alec Burks is back in the picture and played well tonight, so Exum could continue to struggle for playing time in the foreseeable future. He should not be owned in any format. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:35 pm
  • Doug McDermott scores just eight
Doug McDermott scored eight points with seven rebounds, one steal and two 3-pointers in 20 minutes against the Pelicans on Saturday.

Advice: Coach Fred Hoiberg doesn't quite trust him as much as he did earlier this month when he was going no-PG lineups late and only giving him three fourth-quarter minutes. McDermott should be in a fantastic spot on Sunday with Nikola Mirotic (illness) and Dwyane Wade (rest) out, so the opportunity will be there. While he has been bad, it's worth a mention Hoiberg said McBuckets made "about 30 in a row" in a workout on Friday. He's a borderline cut, but you may want to wait to see what happens on Sunday. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 6:02 pm
  • Cris Felicio closes out yet again
Cristiano Felicio scored nine points with seven boards and three fouls in 21 minutes against the Pelicans on Saturday.

Advice: He played the entire fourth quarter in this close game. Felicio continues to be trusted late, but it hasn't quite reflected on the stat sheet. In his last five, he averaged 8.4 points, 6.6 boards and 0.6 steals in 21.8 minutes per game. He's locked up as the backup center and has value in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:42 pm
  • Paul Zipser gets a DNP-CD
Paul Zipser was a DNP-CD on Saturday.

Advice: From a starter and a closer with Jimmy Butler out on Thursday, to out of the rotation on Saturday. Maybe he gets some minutes on Sunday with Dwyane Wade (rest) out, but there's no need to add Zipser almost anywhere. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:32 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead (knee) probable for Sunday
Isaiah Whitehead (sprained left knee) is probable for Sunday against the Rockets.

Advice: It looks like he only needs one game off due to his injury from Thursday night. Whitehead should go back to his starting role and be looking at minutes in the mid 20s. Spencer Dinwiddie will seem similar playing time while Randy Foye could get bumped out of the rotation. This is a situation to avoid for most fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 2:05 pm
  • Luol Deng (rest) will not play on Saturday
Luol Deng (rest) will not play on Saturday against the Clippers.

Advice: It's just rest for the veteran on the front end of a back-to-back set. Deng has been consistently getting around 30 minutes before the Lakers were blown out on Thursday, but he'll likely see fewer minutes as the season goes on. He's still worth owning. For today, Brandon Ingram should be sliding into the first unit while there are more three-guard lineups today -- the Clippers should also go small a ton. Julius Randle also gets a slight bump today. • Ty Lawson scores 17 points vs. Cavs
Ty Lawson scored 17 points with four rebounds, four assists and three turnovers in 26 minutes against the Cavs on Friday.

Advice: The Kings are really starting to ditch the two-PG lineups, which is going to hurt Lawson and Darren Collison, who scored 13 points with one rebound, four assists and two 3-pointers. Lawson is trending back down and is only a borderline asset in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:53 pm
  • Reggie Bullock returns from 25-game absence
Reggie Bullock returned from a 25-game absence on Friday vs. the Jazz and scored seven points on 3-of-6 shooting with two rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Advice: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) was out and the game was a blowout, but it was still a surprise to see Bullock log a season-high 26 minutes right out of the gate. Coach Stan Van Gundy loves him and the Pistons don't have great depth, so maybe he earns some minutes going forward. Most fantasy owners can ignore him for now. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:28 pm
  • Spencer Dinwiddie has an OK start
Spencer Dinwiddie scored 10 points with five rebounds, three assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 28 minutes during his start against the Raptors on Friday.

Advice: He played well enough to keep Randy Foye at bay in this game -- Foye played really well. Dinwiddie should continue to start while Isaiah Whitehead (knee) is out, but the rookie guard is only day-to-day. There's little reason to add Dinwiddie in most leagues unless you're streaming for Sunday. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:52 pm
  • Paul Zipser getting talked up a bit?
Coach Fred Hoiberg said Paul Zipser "really battled" and "played hard" in his start on Thursday.

Advice: It was a bit of a shock to see Hoiberg close with Zipser on Thursday night over guys like Doug McDermott. "The fact that he didn't back down from the challenge of guarding Carmelo Anthony says a lot about Paul," Hoiberg said. "You see some of his versatility. He has a bright future." Obviously we can't trust Zipser just yet, but don't be surprised if he's in the rotation again on Saturday. He could likely start if Jimmy Butler (illness) is out again. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:25 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead (knee) ruled out Friday
Isaiah Whitehead (knee) will not play Friday vs. Toronto.

Advice: Whitehead hurt his left knee in Thursday's game vs. New Orleans. He will have the knee evaluated in New York on Saturday. The Nets next game is Sunday vs. Houston. We should have an update after Whitehead meets with team doctors. Spencer Dinwiddie will start at point guard for Brooklyn on Friday night. Sean Kilpatrick will also see an uptick in minutes off the bench and is the preferable streaming option and DFS play. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:20 pm
  • Spencer Dinwiddie starting, Whitehead out
Spencer Dinwiddie will start for Isaiah Whitehead (knee) against the Raptors on Friday night.

Advice: We saw Whitehead suffer an injury on Thursday and not return. After that, Dinwiddie had a tough time against the Pelicans and the Nets actually went with a no-PG lineup to close out. One thing that helps Dinwiddie is that the Nets were a disaster late in the game, so Dinwiddie should be looking at heavy minutes tonight. Sean Kilpatrick will likely be the backup point guard, which opens up more minutes for Caris LeVert and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson off the bench. Dinwiddie makes sense as a value play in DFS. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:19 pm
  • Doug McDermott says he's fine mentally
Doug McDermott said he's fine mentally and is "just not making shots right now."

Advice: After the Bulls were closing with him earlier this month in no-PG sets, the fact that Paul Zipser closed out the game on Thursday over McDermott is a really bad sign. He's had his biggest chance of his career lately, but made just 18.2 percent from the field in his last three. McDermott has certainly been open on his treys with only getting contested on 17.4 percent of those, so he just needs to knock shots down. Maybe he bounces back on Saturday, so his owners should give him one more game unless there is something irresistible on the wire. Rotoworld.com Friday, 2:05 pm
  • Reggie Bullock unlikely to play
Reggie Bullock (personal) is unlikely to play on Friday against the Jazz.

Advice: He is back with the team and there is a chance he plays. If he doesn't, Stanley Johnson would be looking at big minutes. Rotoworld.com Friday, 12:49 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead (knee) questionable Friday
Isaiah Whitehead (knee) is questionable for Friday's game vs. Toronto.

Advice: Whitehead injured his knee in a collision with Jrue Holiday on Thursday night and was unable to return to the game. Jeremy Lin has already been ruled out on Friday. If Whitehead does not play, Sean Kilpatrick and Spencer Dinwiddie will see additional minutes at the point. Kilpatrick would be the preferred choice as a cheap DFS play, as he has scored in double-figures in four of Brooklyn's last five games. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:54 am
  • Willie Reed (sternum) will not play Friday
Willie Reed (bruised sternum) will not play in Friday's game against the Bucks.

Advice: Reed is averaging 11.9 minutes in non-starts this season, backing up Hassan Whiteside. The Heat don't have another true center on the roster. With Reed not available on Friday, Udonis Haslem may see more minutes behind Whiteside. The more intriguing outcome, from a fantasy perspective, would be Miami playing small-ball, with James Johnson seeing additional minutes. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:46 am
  • Luol Deng scores just three
Luol Deng scored three points with one rebound, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes during a 134-94 loss to the Spurs on Thursday.

Advice: This game should basically be thrown out for everyone except Julius Randle. Deng almost certainly has seen his peak pass this season, but he has played 30.3 minutes per game in his previous three games, so his fantasy value is still alive and well. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:38 pm

  • Ivica Zubac scores eight points
Ivica Zubac scored a career-high eight points with four rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 15 minutes against the Spurs.

Advice: As you could imagine, it was a garbage-time special. The Lakers like him as a potential long-term rotation piece for his array of skills, including a nice shooting touch. He's only a stash in super deep leagues, of course. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:26 pm
  • Doug McDermott goes 0-for-5 in 17 minutes
Doug McDermott came off the bench and played just 17 minutes, missing all five of his shots and scoring just two points in Thursday's 104-89 loss to the Knicks.

Advice: After hitting 6-of-9 shots for 17 points on Jan. 4, McBuckets has hit just 10-of-39 shots over his last four games, scoring seven or fewer in his last three. Coach Fred Hoiberg said after the game that McDermott's too good a shooter to stay in this funk for much longer, but if he was actually owned in your league prior to this week, he's likely been dropped. Just keep an eye on him, as he's not a must-own player. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:54 pm
  • Paul Zipser gets first start for Bulls
Paul Zipser started for injured Jimmy Butler (illness) on Thursday and hit 2-of-6 shots and a 3-pointer for seven points, five rebounds and two assists in a loss to the Knicks.

Advice: Butler, Nikola Mirotic and Denzel Valentine were all out with the flu, but will be back soon. And when it happens, Zipser should go back to obscurity on the bench, if not the D League. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:38 pm
  • Spencer Dinwiddie squanders his chance
Spencer Dinwiddie did not score in 25 minutes against the Pelicans on Thursday, adding seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block.

Advice: He missed all five shots from the field and the Nets went without a point guard to close this game out. Isaiah Whitehead (knee) did not finish this game and could miss time going forward. Dinwiddie is currently the only healthy point guard on the roster, so he has a great chance to start on Friday. If you need a point guard in a deep league, give him a speculative add for short-term value. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:16 pm
  • Reggie Bullock expected back w/ team
Coach Stan Van Gundy said that Reggie Bullock (personal) will rejoin the Pistons on Friday in Salt Lake City.

Advice: Bullock who has missed the last 25 games with a torn meniscus, was attending a family matter and is expected to be back with the team on Friday. He can be left on waivers, as he will likely not have a big role in the Pistons rotation. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:30 pm
  • Isaiah Whtehead hurts knee, questionable
Isaiah Whitehead left Thursday's game after banging knees with Jrue Holiday and is questionable to return.

Advice: It's being called a sprained left knee, but it didn't look bad on replays. If he's unable to return he'll likely be day-to-day and finish with four points and one assist on 2-of-7 shooting. And if he's going to miss any time, Sean Kilpatrick will see a bit of a boost. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:11 pm
  • MCW, Wade, Zipser, Taj & Lopez will start
Michael Carter-Williams, Paul Zipser, Dwyane Wade, Taj Gibson and Robin Lopez will start against the Knicks on Thursday.

Advice: The Bulls do not have Jimmy Butler (illness) or Nikola Mirotic (illness) for this game, so coach Fred Hoiberg will stick with Doug McDermott in the second unit. Zipser has played a grand total of 57 minutes and has somehow made just 1-of-16 from the field. It would take a little slice of crazy to roll with Zipser in DFS. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 3:38 pm
  • Willie Reed (sternum) questionable for Friday
Willie Reed (bruised sternum) is questionable for Friday's game against the Bucks.

Advice: He did not practice and was in sweats for the session on Thursday. Reed has been in the rotation as a straight backup to Hassan Whiteside, but likely won't play more than 15 minutes most nights. If he's out, Udonis Haslem could be next man up or the Heat could use James Johnson at the five more. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 1:29 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver scores 17 w/ three triples
Anthony Tolliver scored 17 points with three triples, four rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes against the Pistons on Tuesday.

Advice: The 31-year-old sharpshooter took seven attempts from deep and finished 4-of-11 from the field and 6-of-6 from the line. At first glance this looks like a fluke, but Tolliver actually had 16 points and three more triples in his previous outing. He's played 36 and 32 minutes in those two games, so feel free to give him a glance if you strictly need a couple 3-pointers. Just keep in mind that he's still Anthony Tolliver. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:39 pm
  • The Willie Reed party is over in Miami
Willie Reed played just 11 minutes off the bench on Tuesday, going 1-of-4 with four points, four rebounds and a block.

Advice: He was pretty fun to own while Hassan Whiteside missed four games with an eye injury, but the party is over, as Whiteside has been back for two games and had 28 points and 20 rebounds tonight. Feel free to handcuff Reed if you own Whiteside, but he should generally be dropped for a hot free agent now that Whiteside is back and killing it. But if Whiteside gets traded, Reed could suddenly have a lot of value again. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:10 pm
  • Doug McDermott will start Tuesday vs. WAS
Doug McDermott will be in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Wizards.

Advice: Dwyane Wade (rest), Nikola Mirotic (flu) and Jimmy Butler (flu) are all out tonight, so McDermott will likely be working with a higher than usual usage rate. He's someone to consider throwing out there as a streamer or DFS punt play, particularly with a matchup against one of the worst teams in the league at defending the small forward position. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 2:56 pm
  • Maurice Ndour sent down for D-League stint
Maurice Ndour has been sent down for yet another D-League stint.

Advice: The only blurbs we've written about Ndour this season have been regarding his D-League assignments, which tells you about all you need to know of his non-existent fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 1:29 pm
  • Cristiano Felicio double-doubles in loss
Cristiano Felicio double-doubled in Monday's loss to the Thunder with 11 points and 11 rebounds in 24 minutes.

Advice: He outplayed Robin Lopez for the second straight game and this was his second double-double of the season, shooting 5-of-6 from the field with one assist and three steals. Felicio did benefit from garbage time tonight, but he's actually been closing some games over Lopez and is certainly trending up. If you need a big in a deeper leagues, Felicio is worth a look with four more games on the schedule in Week 12. Lopez finished with three points, four rebounds and a block in 26 minutes. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:46 pm
  • Doug McDermott scores seven in 25 minutes
Doug McDermott scored seven points in 25 minutes against the Thunder on Monday.

Advice: He flopped big time, hitting just 2-of-6 shots from the field and adding two boards and a triple. However, the Bulls play four more times in Week 12 and Jimmy Butler (illness) and Dwyane Wade (rest) are both out for Tuesday's game vs. the Wizards, so McDermott will likely start and see a massive workload. He averaged 13.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.0 3-pointers in his previous five games. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:41 pm
  • Dante Exum sent down for a D-League stint
Dante Exum has been sent down for a D-League stint.

Advice: With George Hill finally healthy, Exum picked up a DNP-CD his last time out, so Utah send him down to the D-League to get him some playing time. Even when Hill was out and Exum was starting, he wasn't worth owning in fantasy hoops, and that's not going to change with him sporadically coming off the bench. Rotoworld.com Monday, 11:26 am
  • Doug McDermott's confidence is rising
Doug McDermott said that his confidence is on the rise.

Advice: "It's taken some time and the last two games we've been able to really get going," McDermott said of the bench's recent success. "It's a great feeling having the trust from the coaches, [Dwyane] Wade and Jimmy [Butler] and those guys, to be out there with them. We're just staying confident, staying ready." The Bulls closed Saturday's game vs. the Raptors with McDermott on the floor and they had a lot of success with a Butler-McDermott screen-and-roll action. McDermott is averaging 13.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.0 3-pointers over his last five, and he's a great pickup in standard leagues with five games on the schedule this week. • Luol Deng (biceps) looks fine in 31 minutes
Luol Deng (right biceps tendinitis) scored 11 points on 4-of-11 shooting in 31 minutes on Sunday.

Advice: Deng was on the injury report as 'probable' but there was never any doubt about his status. Deploy him as usual vs. the Blazers on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 10:42 pm

  • Reggie Bullock (meniscus) close to return
Reggie Bullock (torn meniscus) didn't play on Sunday, but coach Stan Van Gundy said he's "trending toward being ready."

Advice: "I think he wants to get in a couple practices," Van Gundy said on Saturday. "Quite honestly, I’d be comfortable putting him in a game right now." Stanley Johnson played 25 minutes on Sunday while Darrun Hilliard picked up a DNP-CD, and Van Gundy seems eager to have an alternative wing player in his second unit. We'll consider Bullock day-to-day going forward. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 10:25 pm
  • Ty Lawson scores 15 points in loss to GSW
Ty Lawson finished Sunday's home loss with 15 points, three assists and two rebounds in 22 minutes.

Advice: Lawson came off the bench tonight and he continues to bounce around the rotation depending upon matchups and the whims of coach Dave Joerger. The good news is that he made 4-of-8 FGs and 7-of-8 FTs tonight, so it wasn't that bad of a return for his owners. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 9:55 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver starts, scores 16 in 32 mins
Anthony Tolliver started Sunday's game and finished with 16 points, five rebounds, two steals and 3-pointers in 32 minutes of action.

Advice: The veteran displaced Matt Barnes tonight, but he's just as likely to head back to the bench in Sacramento's next game. There should be better 3-point specialists on your waiver wire. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 9:53 pm
  • Dante Exum (knee) gets another DNP-CD
Dante Exum (knee) was a DNP-CD vs. Memphis on Sunday.

Advice: Exum didn't play vs. the Wolves on Saturday, either, and it looks as though coach Quin Snyder simply prefers Shelvin Mack as his full-time backup PG. With the Jazz in the thick of the playoff hunt, it's very hard to envision the 21-year-old Exum surfacing with value this season. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 8:04 pm
  • Ty Lawson heads to the bench
Ty Lawson will move to the bench in Sunday’s game against the Warriors.

Advice: With Garrett Temple starting at shooting guard, Darren Collison will start at point guard. Anthony Tolliver also got the start, moving Matt Barnes to the bench as well. Lawson's minutes should not be affected much by this move. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 6:11 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver, Garrett Temple start Sunday
Anthony Tolliver and Garrett Temple will start vs. the Warriors on Sunday, with Matt Barnes and Ty Lawson shifting to the second unit.

Advice: The Kings' starting lineup is perpetually in flux, so this is no surprise. Lawson is the only guy in this group with sustained fantasy appeal, but check back after the game to see how Tolliver and Temple fare vs. the Warriors. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 6:09 pm
  • Willie Reed grabs 10 boards in 17 minutes
Willie Reed returned to the bench on Sunday, going 2-of-6 from the field on his way to four points, 10 rebounds, one steal, one block and one turnover in 17 minutes.

Advice: Hassan Whiteside (eye) logged 31 minutes as a starter, so it's going to be tough for Reed to be much of a factor in fantasy hoops operating as Whiteside's backup. You could justify handcuffing him to Whiteside, but Reed isn't worth owning in most scenarios while Hassan is healthy. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 3:44 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead struggles as a starter
Isaiah Whitehead struggled in his return to the starting lineup on Sunday, tallying five points, three boards, one 3-pointer, three assists, two blocks and an unfortunate six turnovers in 21 minutes.

Advice: Spencer Dinwiddie wasn't much better in his 25 minutes off the bench, producing just nine points, three boards, three assists, two blocks and one turnover. The Nets point guard rotation sans Jeremy Lin (hamstring) has been a mess, and this is a situation that should be avoided in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 12:40 pm
  • Bulls recall Paul Zipser
The Bulls have recalled Paul Zipser from the D-League.

Advice: He's not going to be in the rotation for the foreseeable future. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 9:43 am
  • Spencer Dinwiddie will come off the bench
Spencer Dinwiddie will come off the bench on Sunday vs. the 76ers.

Advice: He drew the start on Friday vs. the Cavs and finished with seven points, five rebounds, two assists and two turnovers in 18 minutes, but that's likely because the Nets wanted to get a look at him before his deal became guaranteed on Saturday. Dinwiddie has very little fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 8:41 am
  • Isaiah Whitehead starting, Dinwiddie to bench
Isaiah Whitehead is back in the starting lineup for Sunday's game vs. the 76ers.

Advice: Spencer Dinwiddie flopped in a start on Friday while Whitehead logged the first double-double of his NBA career with 10 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal and four turnovers in 30 minutes. He's too inefficient to rely on in standard leagues, but he's worth a look in deeper leagues or in points formats with Jeremy Lin (hamstring) without a timetable. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 8:37 am
  • Willie Reed will come off the bench Sunday
Willie Reed will come off the bench on Sunday vs. the Clippers.

Advice: Hassan Whiteside (eye) will be returning from a four-game absence, but Reed won't be completely irrelevant because the Heat are going to ease him back into action. Reed averaged 13.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.0 blocks in four starts, so Whiteside's owners in deeper leagues should consider owning him as a handcuff. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 6:20 am
  • Cristiano Felicio plays season-high 25 mins
Cristiano Felicio scored five points with eight rebounds and two assists in a season-high 25 minutes in Saturday’s overtime win against the Raptors.

Advice: Although the numbers did not look great, Felicio played well and is a good per-minute player. He is receiving some more playing time as of late, averaging 18.8 minutes per game in his last five games. There is plenty of upside here, but the lack of minutes is capping his ceiling. • Doug McDermott grabs season-high 10 rebounds
Doug McDermott hit 6-of-17 shots for 17 points with a season-high 10 rebounds, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes on Saturday against the Raptors.

Advice: The Raptors had no answer for McDermott who recorded his first double-double of the season. He has scored in double-figures in five consecutive games and has played at least 29 minutes in six straight. He has solidified a spot in the Bulls rotation and should be a player to add in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 8:14 pm
  • Luol Deng (biceps) probable for Sunday
Luol Deng (biceps) is probable to play against the Magic on Sunday.

Advice: He was terrific on Friday with 19 points and there is no word of a setback, so Deng should be all set for the late game. The Lakers are only three games out of the eighth seed, which is a big reason Deng's minutes haven't dropped. He should be owned in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 1:37 pm

  • Willie Reed may get bumped to bench on Sunday
Coach Eric Spoelstra was non-committal when asked about who he would start at center on Sunday vs. the Clippers.

Advice: Willie Reed (22 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 32 minutes) played extremely well on Friday in place of Hassan Whiteside (eye). However, Whiteside is hopeful he will be healthy enough to return to action on Sunday. "There's been so many moving parts with this team, everything is open," Spo said. Still, if Whiteside is able to play, it is safe to assume he'll draw the start. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 8:56 am
  • Luol Deng (biceps) scores 19 points
Luol Deng (biceps) returned from a one-game absence and scored 19 points in Friday's win over the Heat.

Advice: Performances like this are why the "revenge game" narrative exists. Deng grabbed 14 rebounds with two assists and three triples, and he shot 8-of-12 from the field in 30 minutes against his former team. Deng scored a combined 17 points in his previous four games, so most fantasy owners can leave him on the wire despite the fact that he has played 30 or more minutes in 12 straight games. • Ty Lawson gets the start, scores 17 points
Ty Lawson started on Friday with 17 points, four rebounds, six assists, one steal and two turnovers in 37 minutes against the Clippers.

Advice: Coach Dave Joerger finally pulled the trigger to put Lawson in the first unit and did so with Darren Collison, who had 20 points with five rebounds in the loss. Lawson should be looking at minutes in the low 30s going forward, especially with how well he plays next to DeMarcus Cousins. If you need a point guard, he could be your guy. • Free Willie: Reed scores 22 w/ 12 rebounds
Willie Reed scored 22 points (10-of-15 FGs, 2-of-5 FTs) with 12 rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 32 minutes against the Lakers on Friday.

Advice: He averaged 10.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.7 blocks and 0.7 steals in his three previous starts, but his two monster games came against the Suns and Lakers and he posted two duds against the Kings and Pistons. Hassan Whiteside (eye) is traveling with the Heat again and could return as soon as Thursday's game vs. the Clippers, so Reed is just a short-term option until Whiteside is cleared. With that said, Reed could emerge down the stretch with the Heat clearly tanking. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 10:05 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver plays just eight minutes
Anthony Tolliver did not score in eight minutes against the Clippers with three rebounds.

Advice: With Rudy Gay back in the lineup, Tolliver lost most of his playing time. Go ahead and drop him in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 9:58 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead scores 10 with 10 boards
Isaiah Whitehead logged the first double-double of his NBA career on Friday with 10 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal and four turnovers in 30 minutes off the bench against the Cavs.

Advice: He lucked out because Spencer Dinwiddie squandered his chance in the starting lineup. Whitehead will likely be starting on Sunday against the 76ers, but he doesn't have much fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 8:30 pm
  • Spencer Dinwiddie struggles in start
Spencer Dinwiddie started on Friday against the Cavs, finishing with seven points, five rebounds, two assists and two turnovers in 18 minutes.

Advice: Not good. He picked up three fouls in the first six minutes and could never get it going. Dinwiddie may not have his contract guaranteed next week, so he's not really worth a pickup in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 8:22 pm
  • Luol Deng (biceps) will start on Friday
Luol Deng (biceps) will start on Friday vs. Miami.

Advice: This means his biceps only forced him to miss one game. Deng will be looking for some revenge against his former team tonight and it's worth noting that he averaged 32.4 minutes in the five games before his injury. His return is good news for a Lakers team that might be missing Julius Randle (finger). Brandon Ingram loses value with this report and will return to the bench. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 5:52 pm

  • Spencer Dinwiddie will start on Friday night
Spencer Dinwiddie will start on Friday night against the Cavs.

Advice: Well, that big Thursday game was not a fluke apparently and the Nets will give him a serious look. The NBA starting its 10-day contracts may be the reasoning, but Dinwiddie has a great chance at 30 minutes tonight after logging 32 minutes on Thursday. His season long appeal isn't the greatest, but give him a look in DFS. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 3:52 pm
  • Luol Deng (biceps) questionable for Friday
Luol Deng (biceps) is questionable for Friday's game vs. Miami.

Advice: Deng missed his first game of the season on Thursday. Brandon Ingram started in his place and scored 11 points in 37 minutes. We will have to wait for an update closer to game time regarding the Deng's status for Friday night. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 10:52 am

  • Doug McDermott still dealing with memory loss
Doug McDermott is still suffering from short-term memory issues close to a full month after suffering a concussion.

Advice: Fortunately, for McDermott and the Bulls, he is feeling much better, all things considered. McDermott is also playing some of his best ball of the season. He has scored in double-figures in four straight games and is averaging 12.8 points (on 55.6 percent shooting) 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 3-pointers over this recent stretch. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 10:03 am
