  • Darrell Arthur (knee) probable for Tuesday
Darrell Arthur (knee) is probable to play Tuesday against the Jazz.

Advice: He'll see his playing time in the 15-20 minute range, which isn't enough minutes for him to make a difference in most settings. Leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com 41 minutes ago
  • Gary Harris, Darrell Arthur probable Tuesday
Gary Harris (ankle) and Darrell Arthur (knee) are probable to play Tuesday vs. Utah.

Advice: Harris looked fantastic in his return from a three-game absence on Sunday, and the probable tag in Denver means he'll play. Arthur hasn't looked any worse for the wear in his previous two outings, but he doesn't have any fantasy value in standard leagues. Harris was supposed to have a minutes restriction on Sunday, but ended up logging 35 minutes, which suggests the ankle issue is completely behind him. Make sure he's not sitting on your waiver wire. • Report: Nuggets claim Mo Williams off waivers
The Nuggets have reportedly claimed Mo Williams off waivers.

Advice: Williams was originally traded from Cleveland to Atlanta to help facilitate the Kyle Korver deal, then Atlanta sent him to Denver in order to sign Gary Neal to a 10-day contract, after which Denver waived him to get closer to the salary floor. However, Philadelphia then claimed Williams off waivers and abruptly waived him, also to get closer to the salary floor; and now Denver has reclaimed him and will again waive him. • Jake Layman headed for a D-League stint
Jake Layman has been assigned to Portland's D-League affiliate.

Advice: The rookie is a negligible part of the rotation on most nights, so he'll get some much-needed experience in the D-League. There's no fantasy value here. Rotoworld.com Today, 1:13 pm
  • Demetrius Jackson (illness) out Tuesday
Demetrius Jackson (illness) will not play on Tuesday vs. the Wizards.

Advice: Jackson is the fourth-string PG in Boston and has no fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:18 am
  • Jahlil Okafor (knee) probable for Tuesday
Jahlil Okafor (knee) is probable for Tuesday's game vs. the Clippers.

Advice: Okafor was limited at Monday's practice because of right knee soreness, but he has a big week ahead of him with Joel Embiid (knee) considered doubtful for Tuesday and out for Wednesday's game vs. the Bucks. As a starter this season, Okafor has averaged 13.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 blocks, and his ceiling is higher when Embiid is off the court. Nerlens Noel also looks like a nice play this week and should split the center minutes with Okafor. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:56 am
  • Sam Dekker to come off the bench
Sam Dekker will come off the bench on Monday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: This isn't a surprise with Ryan Anderson (illness) expected to play. Dekker scored a career-high 30 points in his first start on Saturday with six triples, four rebounds and two steals, so hopefully he's still heavily involved on Monday since Ryno likely isn't 100 percent. If you picked up Dekker, don't make another roster move until we see what his role looks like tonight. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:45 am
  • Clint Capela will start on Monday vs. Bucks
Clint Capela will start on Monday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: The Rockets have been bringing him off the bench in an effort to ease him back into action, but they are ready to return to their normal starting lineup of Patrick Beverley, James Harden, Trevor Ariza, Ryan Anderson and Capela -- that lineup is 15-2 this season. Capela is worth owning in standard leagues, while Montrezl Harrell will return to the bench and is trending in the wrong direction. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:34 am
  • Anderson and Capela expected to start Monday
Ryan Anderson (illness) and Clint Capela are expected to start on Monday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: Anderson only lasted nine minutes on Friday vs. the Warriors and was held out of Saturday's game vs. Memphis, so he's a risky play tonight until we confirm that he's 100 percent -- A doctor told him a few days ago that his bug could limit him for 1-2 weeks. With Ryno expected back, Sam Dekker will take the biggest hit, but he should still be involved Monday. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:28 am
  • Malone praises Jamal Murray
Nuggets coach Michael Malone said Jamal Murray "proved he could play point guard" on Sunday vs. the Wolves.

Advice: Murray said point guard is his "natural position," but Malone made it a point to surround him with other ball handlers on the court to ease the pressure on the rookie. Murray scored 17 points with five rebounds, three assists, one steal and just one turnover in 20 minutes on Sunday vs. the Wolves, so he could have some short-term value if Emmanuel Mudiay (back) is unable to play on Tuesday vs. the Jazz. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:01 am
  • Dwyane Wade praises Paul Zipser
Dwyane Wade praised rookie Paul Zipser for his recent play.

Advice: "He works hard. He just does his job," Wade said of Zipser. "You look at his body and he's strong. He's just being consistent. He got his opportunity a few games back and he has all the confidence in the world in himself." The forward is averaging 8.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 triples over his last four games, and with Nikola Mirotic on the trade block, he could be more involved down the stretch. With that said, he has very little upside in fantasy. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:26 am
  • Popovich says Dejounte Murray is a 'keeper'
Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said Dejounte Murray is a "keeper."

Advice: Murray has made two straight starts in place of Tony Parker (foot) and is expected to make another one on Monday vs. the Nets. "It doesn’t faze him," Popovich said. "He just comes in and plays. I’m really pleased he’s shown that kind of fiber and composure." The rookie has averaged 19.0 points, 4.0 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 triples in his last two games, and while he will likely be demoted to third-string duties when Parker is back, he looks like a nice short-term add and is an intriguing stash in dynasty formats. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:17 am
  • Jeremy Lin (hamstring) out another 3-5 weeks
The Nets announced that Jeremy Lin will miss another 3-5 weeks after aggravating his strained left hamstring.

Advice: "During the course of his rehab, Jeremy re-aggravated his strained left hamstring and will be out approximately three to five weeks as he continues to work towards a full recovery," Nets GM Sean Marks said. "We understand and appreciate Jeremy’s competitive desire to get back on the court with his teammates, however, we are going to be cautious with his rehab in order to ensure that he is at full strength once he returns." If you don't have an IR spot, Lin's owners can move on unless they're in a great position in the standings. Spencer Dinwiddie and Isaiah Whitehead have been splitting the PG minutes in Lin's absence and will continue to do so, but standard-league owners should look elsewhere for production. • Brice Johnson (back) is nearing a return
Brice Johnson (back) is nearing a return according to coach Doc Rivers.

Advice: "He’s getting very close to possibly playing a D-League game or something like that," Rivers said. "We don’t know with his back if we’ll send him to the D-League because of the health part of it. That’s a tough one for us." Johnson has yet to play this season after suffering an acute herniated disc in his lower back during the preseason. It sounds like Blake Griffin (knee) will beat him back to the court, so there won't be many minutes available for the first-round rookie out of UNC. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:02 am
  • Spoelstra praises Goran Dragic
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra praised Goran Dragic for his strong play after Saturday's win over the Bucks.

Advice: "Goran has had a career year; this is not something that’s happening right now," Spoelstra said. "He’s been doing this all season. He’s such a conscientious teammate. We have all these moving parts and he’s trying to make sure everyone is comfortable. He knows he has to be aggressive for us and generate good looks." Dragic's name has been tossed around the rumor mill all season with the Heat looking to rebuild, but the Heat are only going to move him if they can get a considerable package in return -- the Heat have already turned down a offer of Nikola Vucevic and a future first-round pick from Orlando. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:36 am
  • Ryan Anderson expects to play on Monday
Ryan Anderson (illness) is expected to play in Monday's game against Milwaukee.

Advice: Ryno has missed three of his last four games due to a stomach virus. He told ESPN that he was not able to eat for three days, but has eaten over the last two days and "feels better." Sam Dekker and Corey Brewer will lose some minutes when Ryno returns. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:14 pm
  • Jamal Murray scores 17 points as backup PG
Jamal Murray was terrific in 20 minutes during Sunday's loss, scoring 17 points with five rebounds, three assists, one steal and just one turnover.

Advice: The rookie played some point guard tonight and looked good doing it, although he was marginalized down the stretch in favor of (ineffective) veteran Jameer Nelson. Murray is shooting 36.9 percent on the season, with minimal supporting stats, so there's no need to own him while Emmanuel Mudiay (back) is day-to-day. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:52 pm
  • Gary Harris (ankle) scores 22 points vs. MIN
Gary Harris (ankle) scored a team-high 22 points with six rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes on Sunday against the Timberwolves.

Advice: Harris returned after missing three games with a sprained right ankle and did not appear to have any lingering effects. He was supposed to be on minutes restrictions tonight, but the 35 minutes he played suggests otherwise. The 22 points were the most he has scored in a game since Dec. 19. With Harris back in the lineup and playing his full allotment of minutes, Will Barton played 26 minutes and Jamal Murray played 20 minutes. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:49 pm

  • Darrell Arthur (leg) thrives in 21 minutes
Darrell Arthur (leg) returned to action on Sunday with 10 points, four assists, three rebounds, three blocks, one steal and two 3-pointers in 21 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Arthur has been in and out of the lineup for weeks due to injury, and he'll be limited in practices and games for the duration of the season. Even a trade clearing more minutes in the frontcourt might not help him, and he belongs on the waiver wire in most formats despite tonight's all-around performance. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:48 pm
  • Jeremy Lin (hamstring) ruled out for Monday
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) won't play vs. the Spurs on Monday.

Advice: Lin has missed 31 games and counting, after missing just 23 games prior to this season during his NBA career. There's no indication of when he might get back on the court, and his absence could be due to more than just his hamstring injury, so he's a hard guy to hold without an IR spot. • Darrell Arthur (leg) available to play Sunday
Darrell Arthur (leg) is available to play vs. the Wolves on Sunday.

Advice: Mike Malone said recently that he'll be watching Arthur's minutes "the rest of the year," and will even limit him in practices. He's unlikely to earn more than a handful of minutes tonight, in other words, and is an extremely dubious fantasy option. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 2:38 pm
  • Gary Harris (ankle) will start Sunday vs. MIN
Gary Harris (ankle) will start Sunday's game vs. the Timberwolves, sending Will Barton back to the bench.

Advice: Harris will be returning from a three-game stint on the sidelines, and he'll be on a minutes limit, but he offers enough upside that he should be scooped up in most leagues if he was cut during the injury. With Harris on a minutes limit, Barton shouldn't take too drastic of a hit, but once he's fully up to speed both Barton and Jamal Murray will lose some minutes. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 2:36 pm

  • Gary Harris (ankle) questionable for Sunday
Gary Harris (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Wolves.

Advice: He was said to be targeting a return on Tuesday, but he now has an outside chance to play against the Wolves. If Harris decides to give it a go, that will lower the ceiling of Will Barton and Jamal Murray could lose minutes. Keep in mind that Emmanuel Mudiay (back) is out, so that might be why Harris is thinking about giving it a go. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:14 am

  • Darrell Arthur will be limited rest of season
Nuggets coach Michael Malone said he will keep an eye on Darrell Arthur's minutes the rest of the season.

Advice: "Yeah, probably through the rest of the year that’s what we’ll have to do," Malone said. "Even with practices I’m going to have to limit him. The one thing I love about Darrell, he knows one speed and one way to play, and that’s hard." The oft-injured forward is averaging 14.7 minutes per game this season and it doesn't sound like his role will be growing any time soon. Arthur is questionable to play on Sunday vs. the Wolves on the second night of a back-to-back set, so we may get a Jusuf Nurkic sighting. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:00 am
  • Darrell Arthur plays 13 minutes
Darrell Arthur (knee) played 13 minutes with two rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: It was a little surprising to see Arthur out there for double-digit minutes. Coach Mike Malone said Arthur will have his minutes managed all season due to his arthritic knees. Even in super deep leagues, he will be way too annoying to own. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:49 pm
  • Jamal Murray set for more minutes
Jamal Murray scored five points with one rebound, three assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: He has said he wants to play point guard and he'll get his wish now to back up Jameer Nelson with Emmanuel Mudiay (back) out for Sunday. Gary Harris (ankle) is also out, so Murray should be looking at close to 27 minutes as the combo guard against the Wolves. He's not playing well enough to add in most leagues, though. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:39 pm
  • Dejounte Murray plays really well in start
Dejounte Murray scored 14 points with two rebounds, six assists and two turnovers in a start against the Cavs on Saturday.

Advice: Solid. He didn't close this game out, but that would put him on pace to be a Spurs great with how coach Gregg Popovich doesn't trust rookies. Murray should see some decent run in the first half with Tony Parker (ankle) out and he's already way ahead of the curve. He's worth a look in the short term for deep leagues and his Dynasty owners should be really encouraged today. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:37 pm
  • Clint Capela plays 16 minutes on Saturday
Clint Capela came off the bench and had five points, four rebounds, two assists and one block in just 16 minutes on Saturday.

Advice: Capela blew up for 22 points and 12 boards in 21 minutes on Friday, but his minutes cut is understandable in a back-to-back situation with him coming off a broken leg. In any case, Capela's arrow is pointing up, while Montrezl Harrell's is pointing down. As long as Capela doesn't suffer a setback, you have to think he'll be back in the starting unit by the end of the upcoming week, if not much sooner. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:05 pm
  • Jahlil Okafor scores 12 points in a start
Jahlil Okafor scored 12 points in a start on Saturday during a 110-93 loss to the Hawks, adding four rebounds, one assist, one steal and three blocks in 30 minutes.

Advice: As you might expect, the Hawks went right at Okafor in this game, but he was actually better than usual. Plus, he had a solid offensive game and the starters fared well. Joel Embiid (rest) isn't expected to miss time going forward, so that means Okafor should be out of the rotation again. At least this good game could help his trade value. He's only a stash or a stream on the nights Embiid sits. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 8:11 pm
  • Sam Dekker scores career-high 30 points
Sam Dekker made 12-of-19 from the field for a career-high 30 points in his first NBA start with four rebounds, two steals and six 3-pointers in Saturday’s 119-95 win over the Grizzlies.

Advice: Oh so that's why coach Mike D'Antoni has liked him all season. The coach also continued the praise for his PF today after the game. "I love him," D'Antoni said. "I love his game, but he has lapses, rookie lapses. What we're trying to do is, we're worried about the playoffs. You don't win a series when you make mistakes like that, so he's got to learn that and hopefully will." In other words, it sounds like Dekker could even be getting more minutes even after Ryan Anderson (illness) comes back. If you have anything you're sick of, grabbing Dekker in one of the most productive offensives in the NBA makes sense for several standard-league owners. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 8:05 pm
  • Gary Harris could play Tuesday
Gary Harris (ankle) could play on Tuesday.

Advice: He did some pre-game shooting and looks to be progressing. Harris is not going to play on Sunday unless something crazy happens and he's still not a lock for Tuesday. With him out Will Barton is a must-start player while Jamal Murray benefits in very deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 4:38 pm

  • Darrell Arthur to be inactive often?
Darrell Arthur (knee) is expected to rest and miss practices throughout the season.

Advice: He is dealing with arthritis in his need, so the Nuggets will be cautious with him all season. This is not surprising at all based on his injury history. Arthur may not be in the rotation while Kenneth Faried is active. Leave him on the wire almost everywhere. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 4:26 pm
  • Sam Dekker will start on Saturday vs. Memphis
Sam Dekker will start on Saturday against the Grizzlies.

Advice: With Ryan Anderson (flu) out, it's usually been Corey Brewer starting. This time, coach Mike D'Antoni is going with a little more size, which makes sense against the Grizzlies. Dekker has impressed us this season and he can add a little bit of everything to the stat sheet, so he may have some attractive value until Ryno comes back. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:35 pm
  • Jahlil Okafor will start for Embiid (rest)
Jahlil Okafor will start for Joel Embiid (rest) against the Hawks on Saturday.

Advice: Okafor was a monster in his last start for Embiid with a season-high 26 points. Although, Nerlens Noel was in foul trouble and was hurt, so it was a perfect storm for Okafor to have a good game. He's a viable player to use today, but his long-term value doesn't look great. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 2:43 pm
  • Sam Dekker likely to start
Sam Dekker is expected to start for Corey Brewer against the Grizzlies on Saturday.

Advice: It makes sense after Dekker showed some promise on Friday while Corey Brewer was exploited against the Warriors. Dekker's versatility has always been a favorite attribute for coach Mike D'Antoni, so he might be sticking until Ryan Anderson (illness) can make it back. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 2:16 pm
  • Jackson is out for Saturday.
Demetrius Jackson (illness) is not available for Saturday.

Advice: He's not in the rotation right now. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:29 pm
  • Darrell Arthur (knee) available on Saturday
Darrell Arthur (left knee soreness) will be available to play on Saturday, but will be on a minutes restriction.

Advice: Even once fully healthy, Arthur will have a difficult time earning heavy minutes with Kenneth Faried playing well of late. However, Arthur may cut into the playing time of Faried and Juan Hernangomez. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 10:28 am
  • Gary Harris (ankle) out at least 2 more games
Gary Harris (right ankle sprain) will miss at least the next two games, but Denver is hoping he can return early next week.

Advice: Harris has missed each of the last three games, and will miss two more, but the Nuggets are reportedly hoping to get Harris back for their game Tuesday vs. the Jazz. Will Barton had a good game (18 points, seven assists, three rebounds in 36 minutes) starting in place of Harris on Thursday. Jamal Murray (13 points six rebounds, two 3-pointers in 26 minutes) also played well off the bench. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 10:14 am

  • Dejounte Murray to start at PG on Saturday
Dejounte Murray will start at point guard in place of Tony Parker (foot) Saturday vs. the Cavs.

Advice: It was announced earlier in the day that Parker would miss at least two more games. The Spurs are 3-0 when Murray starts this season. He is averaging 12.3 points, 2.3 assists and 2.3 rebounds in the those three contests, although those numbers are inflated due to his awesome outing in the Spurs previous game on Thursday, when he finished with 24 points, two rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes. It is probably safe to assume that Patty Mills will see more than the 16 minutes he played on Thursday. A fair expectation is the two point guards will split Saturday's minutes fairly evenly. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:20 am
  • Goran Dragic would prefer to stay in Miami
Despite swirling trade rumors, Goran Dragic has reiterated his desire is to stay put in Miami.

Advice: "If I'm honest," Dragic said, "I feel even better [in Miami] than in Phoenix. I like all my teammates. I feel like I'm in the right spot. My head is clear and I'm working hard to be a better player, a better teammate." Well, If it makes you feel any better Goran, fantasy owners are hoping you stay in Miami as well. Dragic is such a huge part of everything the Heat do on offense, that it's almost impossible to imagine him being traded to a more fantasy-friendly situation. Nonetheless, moving Dragic for a package of picks and younger players might be what's best for Miami longterm. Stay tuned... Rotoworld.com Saturday, 6:37 am
  • Ryan Anderson returned to action on Friday January 20. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:41 am
  • Sam Dekker looks good off the bench
Sam Dekker scored 17 points with seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes against the Warriors on Friday.

Advice: With Ryan Anderson (illness) set to miss at least one game and probably more, Dekker could have some value in the next week. He's played better defense and coach Mike D'Antoni has used him at three different positions. He'll lose most of his short-term value once Ryno returns. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:02 pm
  • Clint Capela scores career-high 22 points
Clint Capela showed he was close to 100 percent against the Warriors on Friday, scoring a career-high 22 points with 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 21 minutes.

Advice: We'll keep this one simple here. If Capela is somehow on your waiver wire, go fix that right now and pick him up. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:49 pm
  • Ryan Anderson ruled out for Saturday
Ryan Anderson (illness) will not play on Saturday against the Grizzlies.

Advice: He was not right at all with just nine minutes on Friday. A doctor told him he may have to deal with this stomach bug for 1-2 weeks, so there is a very good chance Anderson misses more games. While he is out, we'll see more Sam Dekker and Corey Brewer. If you want to pick one up in a deeper league, we'd prefer Dekker. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:50 pm
  • Ryan Anderson (illness) will not return
Ryan Anderson (illness) will not return to Friday's game vs. the Warriors.

Advice: He started the game which was a surprise, but clearly didn't look right and finished scoreless in nine minutes. Anderson should be considered questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Grizzlies. Corey Brewer started the second half in his place, but there should be more minutes available for Sam Dekker as well. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:28 pm
  • Ryan Anderson starts, Brewer to bench
Updating a previous report, Ryan Anderson (illness) started on Friday vs. the Warriors with Corey Brewer returning to the bench.

Advice: He's not close to 100 percent, so we still expect his minutes to be limited. We'll let you know how he looks after the game. Rotoworld.com Friday, 5:16 pm
  • Ryan Anderson (illness) to play off bench Fri
Ryan Anderson (illness) will not start Friday vs. the Warriors, but is expected to play off the bench.

Advice: Corey Brewer will start at small forward again, with Trevor Ariza shifting to power forward. Anderson has missed each of the Rockets last two games and was limited in the two games prior due to the a bad case of the flu. Doctors initially told Anderson that he would miss 1-2 weeks. Ryno's minutes will very likely be limited, as he is still not yet close to 100 percent. Rotoworld.com Friday, 4:57 pm
  • Ryan Anderson will try to play on Friday
Ryan Anderson (illness) will try to play on Friday against the Warriors.

Advice: He was not feeling good at shootaround and was headed to get an IV. In other words, there's a decent chance he can't play his normal minutes tonight. If he can't go, we should see more Sam Dekker and Corey Brewer while Trevor Ariza plays the four. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:19 pm
  • 76ers waive Mo Williams
    76ers waive G Mo Williams.

Advice: After the 76ers claimed him just to help them get to the salary floor and hurt the Nuggets from doing so, another team can do the same thing. Maybe Williams will officially be on his fifth team this month. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:00 pm

  • The 76ers claim Mo Williams
    76ers claim G Mo Williams.

Advice: That makes it four teams in two weeks for Williams. This move is only to get the 76ers $2.2 million closer to the NBA's salary floor, which was the same motivation the Nuggets had when they traded for him earlier this week. Williams is likely done playing in the NBA. Rotoworld.com Friday, 2:13 pm

  • Darrell Arthur listed as questionable
Darrell Arthur (left knee soreness) is listed as questionable to play against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: This is an upgrade from him being listed as doubtful to play on Thursday before the DNP. Arthur is likely out of the rotation anyway with Kenneth Faried playing well. Rotoworld.com Friday, 1:09 pm
  • Gary Harris listed as out for Saturday
Gary Harris (right ankle sprain) is listed as out for Saturday against the Clippers.

Advice: That makes it three games for Harris, who was hurt on Monday. Harris is having a really rough season, but his owners should still try to hang in there. • Heat don't want to deal Dragic?
The Magic reportedly offered Nikola Vucevic and a future first-round pick for Goran Dragic, but the Heat had "no interest," according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Advice: Even if this future first is for 2019 or beyond, the Heat currently are sitting in the No. 2 spot for the lottery, so picking up a draft selection makes at least some sense. For Dragic, he has maintained he wants to stay in Miami, but it'll obviously be up to Pat Riley to make the call on whether or not he can retain him. Stein adds the Heat are "hesitant" to deal their point guard, which isn't surprising to hear to keep the demand higher in the market. A trade would almost certainly hurt Dragic's fantasy value, so his fantasy owners will be rooting for him to stay put. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:46 am
  • Ryan Anderson (illness) questionable Friday
Ryan Anderson (illness) participated in shootaround but remains listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Warriors.

Advice: Anderson has missed each of the Rockets last two games and was limited in the two games prior as he battled the flu bug. He planned to get intravenous fluids before leaving Toyota Center. "Not feeling so great. Just a stomach virus that's been going around," Anderson said. "It's still kind of there, but I'm going to get an IV after this and try to do it for the game. It's just draining." Anderson is expected to slide back into the starting lineup, assuming he is healthy enough to suit up. Corey Brewer has started at small forward with Anderson out. Daily Slant: If Anderson is forced to miss another contest, we should see a nice spike in usage for James Harden, which is saying something considering he's already 2nd in the league in that regard. His usage sits at a cool 36.3% on the year, but that number jumps to 41.2% with Anderson off the floor. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:28 am

Dejounte Murray had easily his best NBA game of his career in a start for Tony Parker (foot) on Thursday, scoring a career-high 24 points on 7-of-11 from the field with two rebounds, two assists, one steal, one turnover and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Advice: Wow. Murray had no jumper in his time at Washington, making just 34.0 percent of his twos and 28.8 percent of his threes. He also had some horrendous turnover woes, so the one turnover in all that playing time is almost as impressive as the scoring. Clearly, things are working out nicely for the rookie and the Spurs clearly trust him as their No. 3 point guard. This game is a huge fluke, but keep him in mind if Tony Parker (foot) misses games again. Parker is likely to play on Saturday against the Cavs. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:47 pm
  • Jamal Murray scores 13 points vs. Spurs
Jamal Murray scored 13 points in 26 minutes against the Spurs on Thursday, adding six rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He picked up some extra run because the Nuggets had to play Will Barton at the three more because both Danilo Gallinari (ankle) and Wilson Chandler (personal) were out. Chances are both of those guys won't miss much time, so we're not suggesting Murray as a pickup in most cases. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:23 pm
  • Goran Dragic scores team-high 32 points
Goran Dragic hit 11-of-15 shots for a team-high 32 points with six rebounds, two assists and four 3-pointers in Thursday’s 99-95 win over the Mavericks.

Advice: Dragic scored 22 points in the second half and sealed the game with two clutch free throws. He continues to have a solid month, averaging over 20 points per game in January. So long as he remains in Miami, he will produce nice numbers for fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:01 pm
  • Dejounte Murray will start for Parker vs. DEN
Dejounte Murray will start for Tony Parker (foot) against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Advice: It'll be the third start of his career. In his previous two, he averaged 6.5 points, 2.5 boards, 2.5 assists and 0.5 treys. He's actually shot the ball a lot better, but obviously you would have to be in a deep league to grab him. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 5:30 pm
  • Dejounte Murray expected to be available
Dejounte Murray (ankle) is expected to be available for Thursday against the Nuggets.

Advice: He may actually get a start after missing the last two games. Murray has almost no value right now, but he is playing better. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 5:11 pm
  • Jeremy Lin (hamstring) ruled out for Friday
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday against the Pelicans.

Advice: We don't even know when Lin is going to practice yet, so he's out indefinitely. Lin has hinted that him missing games is more than just about him being healthy, so the team may want to look at their younger players. Isaiah Whitehead and Spencer Dinwiddie have split the minutes for the most part, but neither are worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 3:23 pm

  • Darrell Arthur (knee) ruled out for Thursday
Darrell Arthur (knee) will not play on Thursday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Of course he won't. Arthur can't stay healthy and the Nuggets are going to limit his workload whenever they can. With Wilson Chandler (personal) out and Danilo Gallinari (ankle) questionable, we should see a lot of Kenneth Faried tonight and may even get a Jusuf Nurkic sighting. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:19 am
  • Clint Capela scores just five off bench
Clint Capela came off the bench against the Bucks on Wednesday with five points, three rebounds and two blocks in 11 minutes.

Advice: He still has a minutes limit and it may stick around. The good news is Capela came in for garbage time, so maybe the plan all along was to have him close out for this game. While he hasn't done much yet, he has to be owned in all standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:32 pm
  • Jahlil Okafor (ankle) gets healthy DNP-CD
Jahlil Okafor (ankle) was a healthy DNP-CD on Wednesday.

Advice: Okafor was available to play despite his minor ankle ailment, but coach Brett Brown went back to a Joel Embiid/Nerlens Noel rotation at center. Barring a trade, Okafor belongs on the waiver wire. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:38 pm
  • Clint Capela will come off the bench vs. MIL
Clint Capela will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Bucks.

Advice: Capela started in his return from a 15-game absence on Tuesday, but only lasted nine minutes, so it doesn't make much sense to start him while he's dealing with a minutes limit. Capela does have some nice upside, but it'll probably take him at least a week before he's really up to speed. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:33 pm
  • Ryan Anderson (illness) out Wednesday vs. MIL
Ryan Anderson (illness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Bucks.

Advice: Corey Brewer got the start on Tuesday with Anderson on the sidelines, and Sam Dekker saw some increased playing time with the second unit, but neither guy did that much. Instead, James Harden took on most of the offensive burden and popped off for a 40-point triple-double, and it'll likely be more of the same this evening. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:28 pm
  • Gary Harris will not play on Thursday
Gary Harris (ankle) will not play against the Spurs on Thursday.

Advice: This will be his second game out of the lineup. Harris is having a tough go this year, suffering injuries to his groin, foot and now this ankle sprain. With him out, Will Barton is a must-start player in season long and is probably worth using in DFS. Jamal Murray also benefits. Harris should still probably remain owned in standard leagues despite all these injuries. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 2:25 pm

  • Darrell Arthur is doubtful to play
Darrell Arthur (knee) is doubtful to play against the Spurs on Thursday.

Advice: He did not play on Tuesday due to his oft-injured knee. With Wilson Chandler (personal) listed as out, there could be plenty of minutes going to Kenneth Faried and even Juan Hernangomez. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 2:03 pm
  • Jahlil Okafor (ankle) available to play Weds
Jahlil Okafor (ankle) will be available to play Wednesday vs. the Raptors.

Advice: Joel Embiid (illness) may be forced to sit this one out, which would essentially guarantee Okafor at least 20 minutes of floor time. That being said, Okafor is basically only good for points and boards, so he's not a very attractive target in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:29 am
  • Report: Atlanta trading Mo Williams to Denver
The Hawks will reportedly send Mo Williams and some cash to the Nuggets.

Advice: Denver will be sending the rights to Cenk Akyol (drafted in 2005 and yet to make his NBA debut) back to Atlanta in exchange for Williams, but it's unlikely Akyol will ever play a game in the NBA. The actual corresponding move here for the Hawks will be signing Gary Neal to a 10-day contract. Williams is going to be waived in Denver, and the 13-year-veteran may have already played his final NBA game. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 5:36 am

  • Paul Zipser starts, scores five points
Paul Zipser started for Taj Gibson (ankle) on Tuesday but played just 19 minutes and finished with five points, three rebounds and a 3-pointer in a loss to the Mavs.

Advice: Zipser will likely move to the bench regardless of Gibson's ankle, as Nikola Mirotic is back in action for the Bulls after dealing with an illness. Forget about him in fantasy. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:55 pm
  • Goran Dragic flirts with triple-double in win
Goran Dragic hit 8-of-15 shots and a 3-pointer for 21 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, a steal and six turnovers in Tuesday's 109-103 win over the Rockets.

Advice: The six turnovers were weird and matched James Harden's output in that category, but the rest of his game was stellar, as usual. As long as Dragic isn't traded, he should continue to rack up gaudy stats for the Heat. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:17 pm
  • Sam Dekker plays 25 minutes in loss
Sam Dekker played 25 minutes and hit 3-of-8 shots and a 3-pointer for eight points, seven rebounds and two assists in Tuesday's loss to the Heat.

Advice: He saw some extra minutes with Ryan Anderson out with an illness, but will return to his normal (read: fewer) minutes with Anderson due back quickly from the flu. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:12 pm
  • Clint Capela fails to score in return
Clint Capela played for the first time in 15 games after a broken leg and started on Tuesday, but missed all three of his shots and didn't score in just nine minutes of action.

Advice: The good news is that he's back and the bad news is that it will be baby steps for Capela as he works his way back into game shape. He's worth holding, but it may be a week or so before we see him return to form. He did have five rebounds and a block, for what it's worth. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:03 pm
  • Gary Harris (ankle) out for Nuggets
As expected, Gary Harris will not play for the Nuggets on Tuesday due to a sprained right ankle.

Advice: Will Barton (flu) is available and it would be surprising if both he and Jameer Nelson don't make some noise tonight in Harris' absence. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:19 pm

  • Paul Zipser to start in place of Taj Gibson
Paul Zipser will replace Taj Gibson (ankle) in the Bulls starting lineup Tuesday vs. the Mavs.

Advice: Zipser has started two games previously this season. In those two starts, he is averaging 6.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 24.6 minutes. Thus, there is no need to add Zipser off the wire, and he is even risky as a streaming option or a DFS punt. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 3:24 pm
  • Jeremy Lin (hamstring) out Tuesday vs. TOR
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) will not play Tuesday vs. Toronto.

Advice: He's out indefinitely, and we're going to stop updating his status until he clears some sort of benchmark for getting back to the court (he's still not practicing). Isaiah Whitehead and Spencer Dinwiddie will continue to man the point guard position in Lin's absence, but neither guy is worth a roster spot in most settings. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 3:00 pm

  • Demetrius Jackson sent down to D-League
The Celtics have assigned Demetrius Jackson to their D-League affiliate.

Advice: Neat. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 12:46 pm
  • Jahlil Okafor (ankle) probable for Wednesday
Jahlil Okafor (ankle) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game vs. the Raptors.

Advice: Okafor has played in each of the Sixers last two contests (the first time he has played in consecutive since late December) due to Joel Embiid resting on Saturday and Nerlens Noel (ankle) missing Monday's game. Okafor has "some soreness" in his ankle, but is expected to be healthy enough to play on Wednesday. Noel is currently questionable for Wednesday, so Okafor could again see significant minutes if Noel is sidelined. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:35 am
  • Clint Capela (knee) will start Tuesday night
Clint Capela (knee) will return to the starting lineup Tuesday night in Miami, but will "probably" play fewer than 20 minutes.

Advice: Capela will return after missing 15 games. Coach Mike D'Antoni indicated that there will not be a minutes cap in place, but did say: "His condition being what it is, we'll keep him under 20 minutes, probably." Capela was averaging 24.5 minutes per game over Houston's first 28 games this season. Montrezl Harrell had played relatively well in Capela absence, but will now get bumped back to the bench. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:28 am
  • Clint Capela (knee) expected to play Tuesday
Clint Capela (knee) is expected to make his return to the lineup on Tuesday vs. Miami.

Advice: "I've been doing pretty good in the workouts by myself, sprinting, dunking. It all felt good," Capela said. He had been playing the best basketball of his career prior to the injury, which was initially projected to cost him 4-6 weeks. He is averaging 11.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks - all career-highs. Make sure he is not floating around your league's waiver wire, as he was returning mid-round value over the first two months of the season. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:00 am
  • Gary Harris (ankle): X-rays are negative
X-rays on Gary Harris' sprained right ankle came back negative, but Harris is not expected to be available on Tuesday when the Nuggets play the L.A. Lakers.

Advice: Harris has played just 17 of the Nuggets 38 games this season due to a variety of groin and foot injuries, and it appears he will miss at least one more due to this ankle sprain. The good news is that this injury seems relatively minor. "I don’t think this is nearly as serious or severe as the previous injury," coach Mike Malone said. Jameer Nelson and Will Barton will likely see a boost if Harris is unable to play. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:44 am

  • Jamal Murray plays just 5 minutes on Monday
Jamal Murray played only five minutes in Denver's win over Orlando and failed to make any impact on the stat sheet.

Advice: It was an old-fashioned five trillion for Murray, as he didn't tally a single point, rebound, assist, steal or block. It is surprising that Murray only played five minutes (and zero in the second half) considering that Denver starting shooting guard Gary Harris sprained his ankle just three minutes into the game. Murray has played in all 39 games this season, but Monday was the first time he played fewer than 11 minutes. With Harris doubtful for Tuesday, it would seem Murray would be poised for an uptick in minutes, but after Monday's disappointment, he can't be trusted. Rotoworld.com Monday, 5:20 pm
  • Clint Capela (knee) feeling good in workouts
Clint Capela (knee) said that he's been sprinting and dunking during recent workouts, and it all felt good.

Advice: Capela has been out of commission since Dec. 17, but he could return to the court for Tuesday's game against the Heat. The Rockets will make an official determination on his status following Tuesday morning's shootaround, but he's close enough to a return that he should be stashed in most leagues. He'll likely be eased back into things after the lengthy layoff, but once he's fully up to speed, Montrezl Harrell will lose most of his value. Rotoworld.com Monday, 3:42 pm
  • Jahlil Okafor scores 10 points off bench
Jahlil Okafor returned to the bench on Monday vs. the Bucks, scoring 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting with two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 20 minutes.

Advice: He was very efficient tonight and also hit a pair of free throws. Okafor wasn't initially expected to play with Joel Embiid returning from a rest day, but Nerlens Noel was ruled out with an ankle sprain so Okafor took over as the backup center. 76ers' reporter Keith Pompey hinted that the team is showcasing Okafor for a trade, so if you need a big and you have a roster spot it's not a bad idea to stash him through the trade deadline. If Noel returns on Wednesday vs. the Raptors, Okafor might fall back out of the rotation. Rotoworld.com Monday, 3:10 pm
  • Dejounte Murray (ankle) out Tuesday vs. MIN
Dejounte Murray (sprained right ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves.

Advice: He's a negligible part of the rotation on most nights, so his absence from Tuesday's game will have zero consequence in fantasy hoops. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 1:09 pm
  • Jahlil Okafor will return to the bench Monday
Jahlil Okafor will return to the bench for Monday's game against the Bucks.

Advice: Okafor actually had a nice line in his previous outing with Joel Embiid resting, but with Embiid back in action and Nerlens Noel serving as his primary backup, Okafor is unlikely to earn enough minutes to matter in most formats. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 11:38 am
  • Paul Zipser starts, play 15 minutes Sunday
Paul Zipser started Sunday's game in place of Dwyane Wade (rest), finishing with five points, two rebounds and three turnovers in 15 minutes.

Advice: It was a tough matchup vs. the Grizzlies' defense, but that's hardly the only reason to avoid Zipser, a 22-year-old rookie taken by Chicago at No. 48 overall this season. Wade is due back on Tuesday, kicking off the Bulls' three-game week, and we're unlikely to hear much from Zipser until a back-to-back set on Jan. 24-25. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 9:04 pm
  • Sam Dekker (shoulder) looks good in 17 mins
Sam Dekker (strained left shoulder) posted eight points on 4-of-5 shooting vs. the Nets on Sunday, adding three assists, one rebound and one steal in 17 minutes.

Advice: Dekker didn't miss any time with the injury, but even at full strength he's an unappealing fantasy asset in standard leagues. In Houston's previous five games, the second-year forward was averaging just 5.8 points on 38.5 percent shooting, 1.2 threes, 3.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.6 steals. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 6:01 pm
  • Paul Zipser will start on Sunday vs. Memphis
Paul Zipser will move into the starting lineup on Sunday vs. the Grizzlies.

Advice: With Nikola Mirotic (illness) and Dwyane Wade (rest) out tonight, Zipser will get some run. He started on Jan. 12 against the Knicks and played 34 minutes, scoring seven points with five rebounds and two assists. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 5:47 pm
  • Sam Dekker (left shoulder strain) will play
Sam Dekker (left shoulder strain) will play on Sunday vs. the Nets.

Advice: He picked up the injury at the end of Friday's game and was held out of practice on Saturday, but he's good to go tonight and there's no word of any restrictions. Dekker is averaging 5.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 triple through the first seven games of January. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 8:37 am
  • Clint Capela (leg) could return on Tuesday
Clint Capela (leg) could return on Tuesday vs. the Heat or Wednesday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: He has missed about one month of action, but the big man is scheduled to go through practice on Monday. It's fair to assume that Capela will have restrictions right out of the gate, but he shouldn't be sitting on your waiver wire with season averages of 11.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks. Montrezl Harrell is now a drop candidate in most leagues, while Nene loses a lot of value as well. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 8:11 am
  • Celtics recall Demetrius Jackson
The Celtics have recalled Demetrius Jackson from the D-League

Advice: He's fourth on the depth chart at PG in Boston and has zero fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 8:02 am
  • Brice Johnson (back) nearing a return
Brice Johnson (back) is now able to play 1-on-1 and is nearing a return to true on-court activities according to coach Doc Rivers.

Advice: The No. 25 pick in the 2016 draft has yet to touch the court this season after suffering an acute herniated disc in his lower back during the preseason. It sounds like he could be cleared in the near future, but he likely won't beat Blake Griffin (knee) back to the court. The rookie is not worth stashing and may not be in the rotation. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 7:03 am
  • Unprocessed: Jahlil Okafor scores 26 points
Jahlil Okafor went off in his start for Joel Embiid (rest) against the Wizards during a 109-93 loss on Saturday, scoring a season-high 26 points with nine rebounds, one steal and one block in 35 minutes.

Advice: Nerlens Noel also sprained his ankle and was in foul trouble, so Okafor saw some serious burn as the only other active center. In his halftime interview, Okafor said he put in extra work for this game because he knew this was his chance. As encouraging as this was, the 76ers were ripping off wins before with Okafor out of the lineup, so he's likely going to fall out of the rotation again. Maybe this game will make teams more willing to trade for him. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 7:51 pm
  • Paul Zipser gets a DNP-CD
Paul Zipser was a DNP-CD on Saturday.

Advice: From a starter and a closer with Jimmy Butler out on Thursday, to out of the rotation on Saturday. Maybe he gets some minutes on Sunday with Dwyane Wade (rest) out, but there's no need to add Zipser almost anywhere. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 5:32 pm
  • Jahlil Okafor to start for The Process (rest)
Jahlil Okafor will start for Joel Embiid (rest) against the Wizards on Saturday.

Advice: This is a huge spot for Okafor, who figures to slide into Embiid's 28-minute role. There should still be about 20-26 minutes of Nerlens Noel, so keep him rolling in all lineups tonight and in DFS, too. Okafor can be left on the wire in shallower formats and needs a trade for value. Additionally, Marcin Gortat could have a big game. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 3:41 pm
  • Jeremy Lin remains out for Sunday night
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) will not play on Sunday against the Rockets.

Advice: He wants to play in the next week or so, but some comments from the Nets suggest Lin sitting out is more than just getting him healthy. In other words, Lin is likely out for quite a few games despite how he said he's healing faster than his last hamstring strain. If you're going to stash him, you will need some serious patience. • Sam Dekker (shoulder) questionable for Sunday
Sam Dekker (left shoulder strain) is questionable for Sunday's game at Brooklyn.

Advice: Dekker has played in all 42 the Rockets games this season, averaging 6.6 points and 4.0 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per contest. Trevor Ariza, Ryan Anderson and Corey Brewer would likely see more minutes than usual if Dekker does not play Sunday. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 9:09 am
  • Celtics send Demetrius Jackson to D-League
Demetrius Jackson has been assigned to the D-League.

Advice: Jackson, who is not a part of the Celtics rotation, has been back and forth between Boston and the D-League multiple times this season. He should not be owned in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 9:05 am
  • Paul Zipser getting talked up a bit?
Coach Fred Hoiberg said Paul Zipser "really battled" and "played hard" in his start on Thursday.

Advice: It was a bit of a shock to see Hoiberg close with Zipser on Thursday night over guys like Doug McDermott. "The fact that he didn't back down from the challenge of guarding Carmelo Anthony says a lot about Paul," Hoiberg said. "You see some of his versatility. He has a bright future." Obviously we can't trust Zipser just yet, but don't be surprised if he's in the rotation again on Saturday. He could likely start if Jimmy Butler (illness) is out again. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 3:25 pm
  • Dejounte Murray (ankle) won't play Saturday
Dejounte Murray (sprained right ankle) has been ruled out of Saturday's game vs. the Suns.

Advice: Murray has been playing a bit more recently, averaging 7.1 minutes per game over the Spurs last five games. Still, he has scored more than two points only once this month. Thus, no significant fantasy impact with news he won't play Saturday. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 2:49 pm
  • Orlando expressed interest in Goran Dragic
The Orlando Magic, among other teams, have expressed interest in Goran Dragic, according to ESPN's Zach Lowe.

Advice: Dragic will surely be one of the names that are bandied about over the next month, in the lead-up to February's trade deadline. It's hard to imagine a scenario that is more fantasy-friendly to Dragic than the situation in Miami right now. Dragic is the offensive focal point for the short-handed Heat. His Usage Rate of 26.5 represents a career high. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 10:08 am
  • Jeremy Lin (hamstring) will not play Friday
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) will not play Friday night in Toronto.

Advice: No surprise here, as Lin has been ruled out indifferently. On Thursday, Lin day say he hoped to return within a "couple of weeks." Lin is a notoriously slow healer, so it should be noted that the team has still not given an official timetable. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 10:05 am
