• Surpasses 30-point mark again
Doncic recorded 33 points (10-20 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 8-10 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, one block and five steals over 41 minutes during Sunday's 116-107 victory over the Timberwolves in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

Advice: Another game, another instance where Doncic shone the brightest when the team needed him the most. The Timberwolves attempted a comeback in the second half, and it looked as if the momentum was going to shift their way in the fourth quarter. Still, Doncic was sensational to carry Dallas to a third straight win and put the team just 48 minutes away from a berth in the NBA Finals. Doncic has recorded four triple-doubles and two double-doubles across his last eight playoff appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:57 am
  • Thrives in fourth quarter Sunday
Irving logged 33 points (12-20 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-8 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one steal across 42 minutes during Sunday's 116-107 victory over the Timberwolves in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

Advice: There's a reason why people around the NBA call Irving "Mr. Fourth Quarter," and the star floor general has lived up to that nickname in Dallas' last two playoff wins. He scored 14 points in the final frame in Game 2 of the series, and he added 13 points while going 4-for-5 from the field in the final 12 minutes of Sunday's contest. Luka Doncic continues to lead the Mavericks offensively, but Irving is thriving when the team needs him the most and has been an outstanding second option on offense so far in these playoffs. • Scores 26 in Game 3 loss
Edwards closed Sunday's 116-107 loss to Dallas in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals with 26 points (11-24 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-6 FT), nine rebounds, nine assists and two steals across 43 minutes.

Advice: Edwards looked more aggressive than in the first two games of the series, but the star guard continues to struggle with his shot, even though he showed some encouraging signs in this one. Edwards has shot a mere 38.6 percent from the field in the series ahead of a pivotal Game 4 in Dallas on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:43 am
  • Mike Conley hits four 3-pointers, scores 16 points
Mike Conley amassed 16 points (6-of-11 FGs), one rebound, four assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 31 minutes in Sunday’s Game 3 loss to the Mavericks.

Advice: Due to a strained soleus muscle, Conley is playing at less than full strength. However, give the veteran point guard credit for pushing through the injury, as he had another efficient performance in Game 3. The issue is that the Timberwolves don’t have a good matchup for Conley on the defensive end of the floor. The calf injury keeps him from being effective in guarding Luka Doncic or Kyrie Irving, and forwards Derrick Jones Jr. and PJ Washington are too big. Nickeil Alexander-Walker (3/2/3 with one 3-pointer in 20 minutes) and Kyle Anderson (10 points, three assists, and two blocks in 17 minutes) may have to do a little more in Game 4 on Tuesday, but it won’t matter if the Timberwolves don’t get better play from Karl-Anthony Towns. • Anthony Edwards records 26/9/9/2 line on Sunday
Anthony Edwards played 43 minutes in Sunday’s 116-107 loss to the Mavericks, accumulating 26 points (11-of-24 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), nine rebounds, nine assists, and two steals.

Advice: Edwards gave Minnesota a much-needed spark during the third quarter, shooting 5-of-10 from the field and scoring ten points. However, he went quiet in the fourth, only attempting three shots (making two) and appearing tired on both ends of the floor. With Karl-Anthony Towns struggling, Edwards shouldered an even heavier workload than usual. With Dallas having Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving to call on, that’s a losing proposition for Minnesota. The Timberwolves will look to extend the series with a win on Tuesday night. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:09 pm
  • Kyrie Irving scores 33 points in Game 3 triumph
Kyrie Irving played 42 minutes in Sunday’s 116-107 win over Minnesota, tallying 33 points (12-of-20 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers.

Advice: Dallas has the proven “closers” in this series, while Minnesota doesn’t. Irving scored 14 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter, combining with Luka Doncic to lead the Mavericks to a 3-0 series lead. Teams that have won the first three games of a best-of-7 series are 154-0 all-time, so it may be a matter of “when” the Mavericks reach the finals for the first time since 2011 instead of “if.” Also, Irving is 14-0 in his NBA postseason career in close-out games. • Luka Doncic posts 33/7/5/5/1 line in Game 3 win
Luka Doncic shot 10-of-20 from the field and 8-of-10 from the foul line in Sunday’s 116-107 win over the Timberwolves, scoring 33 points with seven rebounds, five assists, five steals, one block, and five 3-pointers in 41 minutes.

Advice: Even with Doncic playing through ankle and knee injuries, the Timberwolves do not have an answer for him defensively. The All-NBA guard shot 50% from the field in Game 3, helping to lead the Mavericks on a 13-3 run in “closing time.” The tandem of Doncic and Kyrie Irving gives Dallas arguably the two best closers in the league, while Minnesota has no such option to rely on. The Mavericks will look to end the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday, and doing so would give Doncic (and Dereck Lively II) some much-needed time off before the NBA Finals. • Mike Conley (calf) available for Game 3 Sunday
Mike Conley (right soleus strain) is available for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks.

Advice: As expected, Conley will be available for Sunday’s game. He will assume his usual responsibilities as the Timberwolves’ starting point guard. Should Conley have any issues with his injured calf, Nickeil Alexander-Walker will play additional minutes off the bench. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:40 pm
  • Available for Game 3
Conley (Achilles) is available and starting in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the Mavericks on Sunday.

Advice: Conley was questionable once again before Sunday's matchup, but he'll be able to continue playing through his soleus strain. Over his last four appearances, he's averaged 11.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 33.3 minutes per game. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:34 pm
