  • Brandon Ingram scores nine points in start
Brandon Ingram moved back into the starting lineup on Friday vs. the Suns, scoring nine points with seven rebounds, three assists and one triple in 31 minutes.

Advice: With Nick Young (calf) expected to return on Monday vs. the Kings, Ingram should grab at least one more start vs. the Knicks on Sunday. Ingram only hit 3-of-8 shots from the field, but the biggest takeaway is that he's starting to look more confident with the ball in his hands, finishing with zero turnovers for just the fourth time this season. • Carmelo Anthony scores 33 in win vs. Kings
Carmelo Anthony started hot during a 103-100 win over the Kings on Friday, adding seven rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers

Advice: He scored 15 points in the first quarter and eight in the second to get the ball rolling. After Melo failed to go to the line on Wednesday, he made an extra effort to get there tonight and converted a season-high 12 shots from there. Anthony still hasn't quite hit his stride from an efficiency standpoint while his boards, dimes and steals are all down from last year, but his fantasy owners can't complain. He gets a great matchup against the Lakers on Sunday. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:43 pm
  • Nick Young (calf) is targeting Monday
Nick Young (calf) is hoping to be ready for Monday's game vs. the Kings.

Advice: If he does play, he will crush the original timetable he was given. Young was averaging 13.3 points, 1.1 assists and 2.6 triples before the injury, so feel free to pick him up if you're targeting points and triples. Jordan Clarkson, Lou Williams and Brandon Ingram could each lose a few minutes upon Young's return. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:38 pm
    Injured
  • Omri Casspi only gets 20 minutes
Omri Casspi played 20 minutes with 12 points, three rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer against the Knicks on Friday.

Advice: He surprisingly didn't see his role change too much even with Matt Barnes (rest) out tonight. Casspi's fantasy value shouldn't be very attractive while Rudy Gay is active. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:22 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver scores 10 in loss
Anthony Tolliver scored 10 points with five rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes against the Knicks on Friday.

Advice: He was the go-to forward for Matt Barnes (rest) tonight. With Barnes possibly in legal trouble, Tolliver could have some value at some point down the line. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:20 pm
  • Arron Afflalo gets a DNP-CD again
Arron Afflalo picked up his second straight DNP-CD on Friday.

Advice: No revenge game for Mr. Afflalo against the Knicks. Even with Matt Barnes (rest) out, Afflalo was still a DNP-CD. Ouch. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:18 pm
  • James Harden scores 21 points in win at OKC
James Harden scored 21 points during a 102-99 win over the Thunder on Friday, adding nine rebounds, 12 assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

Advice: He beat his former team, but it certainly wasn't his best game. Harden had eight turnovers and made just 6-of-23 from the field. Interestingly, he's not touching the ball as much since Pat Beverley has returned. Before Beverley, Harden had a time of possession of 9.5 minutes per game, but that number has dropped to 8.7 in the previous 11 games before tonight. He's still going to be a stat monster and so much for coach Mike D'Antoni dropping his minutes, right? Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:36 pm
  • Thaddeus Young hits rock bottom in loss
Thaddeus Young was held to five points on 2-of-5 shooting in Friday's loss to the Mavericks.

Advice: There's no word of any injury and he wasn't in foul trouble, as the Pacers rolled with Paul George at the four for the majority of the game to match up with Harrison Barnes. Young added four rebounds, one block and one triple and has been eerily quiet over his last five games, averaging 9.0 points and 5.4 rebounds in 25.4 minutes. With that said, he should be better moving forward and there is some buy-low appeal here. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:24 pm
  • C.J. Miles hits six triples in loss to Dallas
C.J. Miles hit six 3-pointers on his way to 18 points against the Mavericks on Friday.

Advice: He was 6-of-9 from the field and all of his attempts were from beyond the arc. He played 28 minutes and added four rebounds, one assist and two steals, but this comes on the heels of a two-point dud on Wednesday vs. the Suns. He's a fun player to own when he gets hot, so taking a flier on him if you need triples is the right call. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:17 pm
  • Justin Anderson picks up a DNP-CD
Justin Anderson picked up his first DNP-CD of the season on Friday vs. the Pacers.

Advice: Coach Rick Carlisle couldn't stop praising him last week and also said he's hoping to play the second-year forward at the four a bit, but obviously that didn't happen. However, Carlisle confirmed after the game that he expects Anderson to be back in the rotation on Saturday vs. Houston, so it was just a matchup decision. He's still a nice stash in deeper leagues for the stretch run. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:14 pm
  • Wesley Matthews scores 26 points in win
Wesley Matthews led the Mavericks with 26 points in 36 minutes in Friday's win over the Pacers.

Advice: Matthews was on fire, hitting 8-of-16 from the field and 5-of-10 from deep with four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one turnover. He's averaging a ridiculous 5.0 3-pointers over his last four games and it's not a bad idea to sell high with his team sliding in the standings. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:08 pm
  • Andre Roberson scores nine, fills it up
Andre Roberson scored nine points with eight rebounds, three assists, one block, two steals and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes against the Rockets on Friday.

Advice: He's playing some solid basketball and is easily being overshadowed by his point guard. Roberson is on his best five-game run of the year, averaging 9.2 points, 4.8 boards, 1.2 assists, 1.6 blocks, 1.2 steals and 1.4 treys. He's an option in deeper leagues and always makes sense as a DFS tourney punt next to Russell Westbrook. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:06 pm
  • Derrick Williams scores 17 points
Derrick Williams scored a season-high 17 points against the Cavs on Friday, adding one rebound, one assist and two steals in 31 minutes.

Advice: This is a garbage-time special, but Williams was in the game during the first quarter. He was a DNP-CD last weekend when the Heat really needed another body, so Williams' playing time will be a mystery. At best, he'll only have value in deep leagues until Justise Winslow (wrist) can return. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:36 pm
  • Brandon Ingram starting, Huertas to bench
Brandon Ingram will start on Friday vs. the Suns, sending Marcelo Huertas back to the bench.

Advice: The rookie will be the starting SG next to Jordan Clarkson. Ingram has played 33 or more minutes in four out of his last five games, but he's going to see big minutes regardless of whether or not he starts moving forward. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:51 pm
  • Nick Young goes through a full shootaround
Nick Young (calf) went through a full shootaround and remains out against the Suns on Friday.

Advice: He's on track to beat his timetable and could even play on Monday. Coach Luke Walton said he wants to see Young go through a competitive practice before he's cleared for games, so there is still another step for Uncle P. Upon his return, Luol Deng and some of the guards could take a small hit. Young is a borderline add in 12-team leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 1:29 pm
    Injured
  • Rockets and Motiejunas agree to a new deal
Numerous outlets are reporting that the Rockets and Donatas Motiejunas' have agreed to a new deal.

Advice: It appears the drama is finally over. Motiejunas' deal with the Rockets is worth $31 million if hits no bonuses, $35 million if hits all likely bonuses and $37 million if hits every possible bonus. Although he has an intriguing upside, Motiejunas will only likely see limited minutes off the bench in Houston, especially initially as he works his way back into game shape. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:22 am
  • Kawhi Leonard scores 24 points in 38 minutes
Kawhi Leonard scored 24 points with eight rebounds, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes during a 95-91 loss in Chicago on Thursday.

Advice: On top of Kawhian Island being a scary place for his opponent, his consistency as a scorer is top notch. Leonard has scored at least 19 points in each of his 14 games. In that span, he has a 29.2 usage rate and 58.5 true shooting percentage. On the year, Leonard also has a 50.0 effective field goal percentage on his jumper and is unassisted 54.3 percent of the time on all of his makes. He's also in the top five for free throw percentage at 91.1 percent on his 6.8 attempts per game. He's an exceptional fantasy asset. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:28 pm
  • Nick Young back at practice on Thursday
Nick Young (calf) practiced on Thursday and remains out for Friday against the Suns.

Advice: There was a report on Wednesday saying Young is targeting a return on Monday night, so going through practice today makes it seem possible. Young's initial timetable was expected to keep him out to the second half of December for his calf strain. He was putting up top-100 value before his injury, so he may be worth a pickup now. Although, his start does seem slightly unsustainable. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 12:59 pm

  • Rockets will hold Motiejunas to offer sheet
The Rockets will hold Donatas Motiejunas to the offer sheet he signed, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Advice: This means they won't be returning him to restricted free agency. The Rockets are going to play the waiting game and hope D-Mo changes his mind, as he is reportedly at odds with Houston because of a difference of nearly $6 million from the offer sheet he signed with the Nets. He won't have much fantasy value in Houston, so he's not a great stash unless his situation changes. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:10 am
  • Carmelo Anthony quiet in 24 minutes Wednesday
Carmelo Anthony played just 24 minutes vs. Cleveland, finishing Wednesday's home loss with eight points on 4-of-9 shooting, four rebounds, two assists and one block.

Advice: Melo checked out with his team trailing by 28 points late in the third quarter, and he played just two minutes to begin the fourth before the Knicks threw in the towel. He's looked good all season, averaging 23.0 points, 8.0 boards, 2.5 assists, 1.1 steals and 2.0 threes, with a healthy 29.3 percent usage, and at least he'll be rested vs. Sacramento on Friday. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:41 pm
  • Brandon Ingram logs 33 minutes off bench
Brandon Ingram shifted to the bench on Wednesday and picked up 12 points on 5-of-13 shooting, seven rebounds, two 3-pointers, one assist, one steal, one block and five turnovers in 33 minutes.

Advice: Injuries to both Jose Calderon (hamstring) and D'Angelo Russell (knee) have thrust more ball-handling duties to Ingram, who is averaging 1.8 assists and 1.5 turnovers this season. The Lakers have used him to bring the ball up court even at full strength, so it's a skill they clearly want the rookie to develop. Lousy FG percentages and middling counting stats continue to drag down his value, but he's an intriguing pickup if you're looking for rest-of-season sleepers. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:22 pm
  • Arron Afflalo gets a DNP-CD
Arron Afflalo moved to the bench and was a DNP-CD on Wednesday.

Advice: OK then. Afflalo is only signed on a two-year deal, so the Kings may not view him as a piece going forward. He may get back in the rotation at some point, but his upside is very low. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:01 pm
  • Arron Afflalo back to bench Wednesday
Arron Afflalo will head back to the Kings bench on Wednesday.

Advice: Ben McLemore will take his spot with the starters, and this demotion is nothing new for Afflalo. He has no fantasy appeal outside of very deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 5:33 pm
  • Brandon Ingram moves to bench Wednesday
Brandon Ingram will shift to the Lakers' bench on Wednesday.

Advice: Ingram and Metta World Peace will be replaced by Jordan Clarkson and Marcelo Huertas, as coach Luke Walton looks to get more ball-handling and scoring into his first unit. Ingram should still play around 24-28 minutes, so his fantasy prospects doesn't change much with the benching. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:55 pm
  • Motiejunas not reporting because of money
Donatas Motiejunas won't report to the Rockets because of a difference of nearly $6 million from the offer sheet he signed with the Nets, according to Calvin Watkins of ESPN.com.

Advice: Motiejunas signed a four-year, $37 million offer sheet with the Nets last week, but the Rockets only had to match the principle terms of the offer sheet. That explains the $6 million difference. According to the report, "Houston's options are to keep their first-refusal exercise notice open and wait for Motiejunas to report. If he doesn't report, Houston can pull the offer Thursday and Motiejunas would become a restricted free agent." Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:55 am
  • Nick Young (calf) targeting Monday night
Nick Young (calf) is targeting a return on Monday night, according to Mark Medina of the Orange County Register.

Advice: It's worth mentioning this report adds the Lakers downplayed that target date. Young surprisingly traveled with the team to Houston for tonight, and has been going through some pool exercise and light shooting. It's possible Young is back for Monday, but it seems slightly doubtful. There will be more minutes for Marcelo Huertas, Brandon Ingram and Luol Deng. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:37 am
    Injured
  • Nick Young (calf) limited to light shooting
Nick Young (calf) is still being limited to light shooting.

Advice: Young is unable to make hard cuts or get around screens, which is to be expected given that he just hit the beginning of Week-2 of his initial 2-4 week timetable. He's out for Wednesday's game against the Rockets, and it seems unlikely that he'll be able to play Friday vs. Phoenix, meaning Jordan Clarkson, Lou Williams and Brandon Ingram will continue to soak up the backcourt minutes in Los Angeles. He does hope to return to a full practice on Saturday, so we'll be watching for that. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:14 am

  • Kawhi Leonard goes off against Wolves
Kawhi Leonard hit 11-of-15 shots for 31 points, one rebound, four assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes of Tuesday's win over the Wolves.

Advice: It's not a season high in points for Kawhi, but it's close. He scored 34 points way back on Nov. 9, and hadn't scored more than 23 points in his previous six games. Leonard didn't exactly crush the stat sheet like he's capable of doing, but he did fill it. He hasn't had a night off yet this season, so it's time to start watching for news that Gregg Popovich will sit him for a game. But if you drafted Leonard and have been disappointed with his output, tonight was a nice step in the right direction. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:51 pm
  • Carmelo Anthony scores 35 in win over Heat
Carmelo Anthony matched his season-high with 35 points on 13-of-27 shooting in Tuesday's 114-103 win over the Heat.

Advice: The Knicks have won four straight games and now get to look forward to a matchup with the Cavaliers at MSG Wednesday. Anthony added four rebounds, two assists, one block and three 3-pointers, hitting 6-of-7 from the line. His production is down this season playing next to Derrick Rose and Kristaps Porzingis, but he's still capable of posting monster lines like you saw tonight. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:56 pm
  • Nick Young shooting post-practice jumpers
Nick Young (right calf) was spotted getting up some shots following Tuesday's practice.

Advice: Young is nearing the conclusion of Week-1 of his initial 2-4 week timetable, so while this is a minor step in the right direction, he's still not close to making a return. He's not really worth hanging onto if you don't have an IR-spot, and it'll be Lou Williams, Jordan Clarkson and Brandon Ingram picking up some extra minutes in his absence. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 12:05 pm

  • Donatas Motiejunas will not report to Rockets
Donatas Motiejunas will not report to Houston to take a physical and join the team, per Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

Advice: Motiejunas, a restricted free agent, signed an offer sheet with Brooklyn last week but the Rockets decided to match. As recently as last week, Motiejunas had said he would be open to a return to Houston, but obviously something has gone wrong. Per Woj, the Rockets and Motiejunas' representatives are discussing what the next steps will be. Motiejunas would only have seen limited minutes in Houston, so the fantasy implications here are relatively minor. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:49 am
  • Brandon Ingram struggles in start at PG
Brandon Ingram made his first career start at point guard on Monday vs. the Jazz, but struggled with four points on 1-of-6 shooting with two rebounds, two assists and one block in 25 minutes.

Advice: He got into some early foul trouble and never really looked comfortable out there. Jose Calderon (hamstring) is out for several weeks in addition to Nick Young (calf), so the minutes are going to be there for the No. 2 overall pick, especially with his ability to play four positions for LA. He's a nice stash for the stretch run. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:09 pm
  • James Harden scores 37 in win over Celtics
James Harden hit 8-of-14 shots, three 3-pointers and 18-of-18 free throws on his way to 37 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, three steals and 10 turnovers in Monday's 107-106 win over Boston.

Advice: He was a couple boards and assists away from a dubious quadruple-double, while the 18 free throw makes were easily a season-high for Harden. His box scores aren't really comparing to the ridiculous things Russell Westbrook is doing right now, but they're pretty darn good. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:58 pm
  • Report: HOU matches Motiejunas' offer sheet
The Rockets have reportedly matched Donatas Motiejunas' offer sheet from the Nets.

Advice: Motiejunas may have been able to put up some low-end fantasy value in Brooklyn, but now he'll be fighting for reserve minutes in Houston with the likes of Nene and Montrezl Harrell. Motiejunas has been training in Canada, but his conditioning likely isn't where it needs to be, and he still needs to pass a physical before he's allowed to play. This is far from an ideal situation in fantasy hoops, so he can remain on the wire in most scenarios. Rotoworld.com Monday, 2:03 pm
  • Harden having fun playing for Mike D'Antoni
James Harden said it's been "fun" playing for Mike D'Antoni this season.

Advice: "He doesn’t try to control anything. If he has a play, he’ll throw it at me, and if I have something better, I’ll just tell him I have something better, and he’s cool with it," said Harden. "That kind of relationship, it goes a long way. We’re able to talk about anything." D'Antoni failed to recreate his Suns' success with the Knicks and Lakers, but those struggles had more to do with roster construction and less to do with D'Antoni's effectiveness as a coach. Harden has completely bought into D'Antoni's system, and he's having an MVP-caliber season as a top-4 play in 8-cat leagues. Rotoworld.com Monday, 1:58 pm
  • C.J. Miles (knee) looks good in return Sunday
C.J. Miles (sore left knee) came off Indiana's bench with 12 points and five rebounds on Sunday, making 4-of-7 FGs and 3-of-3 FTs in just 15 minutes.

Advice: "You can go as hard as you can, but it’s still going to take you a little bit more of game playing to get into actual game shape," Miles said before tonight's contest. He didn't seem to miss a beat, however, and is worth grabbing if you need an efficient scorer and 3-point shooter who won't turn the ball over. His playing time should increase over Indy's next few games. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 9:25 pm
  • Carmelo Anthony busts lip, scores 20 points
Carmelo Anthony scored 20 points on 8-of-20 shooting during Sunday's 106-98 victory, adding four boards, one assist, three 3-pointers and zero turnovers in 36 minutes.

Advice: The Knicks now have an 8-3 record since Nov. 14, the best record in the Eastern Conference during that span. Melo's lip got cut in the first quarter tonight but he returned after a quick trip to the locker room, and it's nothing that would jeopardize his availability. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 7:29 pm
  • Andre Roberson posts all-around line Sunday
Andre Roberson had a great all-around game on Sunday with 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting, one 3-pointer, five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 37 minutes.

Advice: Roberson defends the opposition's best swingman on a nightly basis, while his offensive game is basically limited to fastbreaks, cuts, and corner 3-pointers. He rarely draws much fantasy attention due to low offensive numbers, but he's quietly posting late-round 9-cat value on the strength of 1.3 steals, 1.1 blocks, 0.9 three-pointers and just 0.6 turnovers per game. Thanks in part to his efforts, the Thunder have now won a season-high five games in a row. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 6:46 pm
  • C.J. Miles (knee) will play Sunday vs. LAC
C.J. Miles (sore left knee) will play Sunday vs. the Clippers.

Advice: Miles will be returning from a six-game absence, and Nate McMillan hinted that he could be working with a minutes limit in his first game back, so he's not a great DFS target tonight. However, he was playing really well prior to going down, so he's worth a speculative add in standard leagues. Rodney Stuckey and Glenn Robinson III will take a hit with Miles back on the active roster. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 4:05 pm
  • Wes Matthews scores 26 in blowout win
Wesley Matthews hit 9-of-17 shots and seven 3-pointers on his way to tie a season high with 26 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 35 minutes against the Bulls.

Advice: The Mavs surprisingly dominated this game and the strong play of Matthews was a big reason as to why it happened. He's been killing it from downtown lately, hitting at least five 3-pointers in three of his last four games. He's averaging 22 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 4.8 3-pointers over his last four. After a hot start in an October and a mostly forgettable November, Matthews is crushing right now. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 10:14 pm
  • Derrick Williams gets a DNP-CD
Derrick Williams was a DNP-CD on Saturday.

Advice: That's cold. Williams was available to play, but coach Erik Spoelstra just went with other guys. Williams may get playing time another day, but this has to sting with only eight guys playing tonight. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 10:12 pm
  • Brandon Ingram gets 39 minutes
Brandon Ingram played 39 minutes with nine points, five rebounds, one assist, three blocks and one 3-pointer against the Grizzlies on Saturday.

Advice: The Lakers are running out of guards. While he’s been starting at shooting guard in the previous two, Ingram played 49 of his minutes 77 minutes as a small forward. That may change with more guard minutes until the Lakers get some guys back. Ingram hasn't done too much on the stat sheet, but he's a stash in competitive leagues, especially with some solid play on defense. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:10 pm
  • Justin Anderson to play some power forward?
Coach Rick Carlisle said Justin Anderson could see more time at power forward.

Advice: The Mavs need some help at the four with Dirk Nowitzki (Achilles) out indefinitely. Anderson is earning more minutes and Carlisle has said he's going to give Anderson more minutes as the year goes along. He's on the radar in deeper leagues and is starting to trend up, especially since the Mavs have used him at four positions this year. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 4:00 pm
  • Nick Young out of the walking boot
Nick Young (calf) is out of his walking boot.

Advice: There's no word of his progressions on his strained calf, so he is still expected to miss the next 1.5-3.5 weeks. With Young out, it's been Brandon Ingram moving over the the two while the other guards have seen a few more minutes. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:39 pm
    Injured
  • Derrick Williams will play vs. Blazers
Derrick Williams (back) will play against the Blazers on Saturday.

Advice: He was listed as questionable and is good to go for tonight. Williams was losing minutes to guys like James Johnson, but he should get playing time tonight due to the depth issues at forward. Even if he starts, he'll be a risky option in almost any league. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 11:46 am
  • James Harden scores 20 in win at Denver
James Harden scored 20 points during a 128-110 win in Denver on Friday, adding six rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one block, five turnovers and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Not a bad win for a team that didn't get into the high altitude until 5 a.m. following a win in Oakland. Harden's shot was off a bit and it took him until late in the fourth to make his trey, which made him the first player in Rockets history to make a 3-pointer in each of the first 20 games of a season. The Rockets are completely ridiculous with their 3-pointers lately, attempting 39.4 per game in their last five. Meanwhile, they've only taken 6.0 midrange shots in their last five -- Harrison Barnes has taken 8.2 midrange shots per game in his last five. Harden is an MVP candidate with his league-leading assists and has his team sitting in the No. 4 spot in the Western Conference. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:57 pm
  • Carmelo Anthony scores 29 points vs. Wolves
Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points during a 118-114 win over the Wolves on Friday, adding five rebounds, three assists, three steals and five 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Advice: He snapped out of his slump, which included three games below 19 points on just a combined 32.0 percent from the field. Even with Kristaps Porzingis coming on, Anthony's shots haven't fallen off. He's also starting to hit more open threes with his season-high treys today, so he should be able to hold his third-round value on the season. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:42 pm
  • Omri Casspi gets 27 minutes
Omri Casspi scored seven points with five rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes against the Celtics on Friday.

Advice: He managed to miss four shots from the field in an 18-second span, but that's neither here nor there. Casspi has seen some consistent minutes in his last four with 22.3 per game, averaging 6.0 points, 4.3 boards, 2.0 assists, 0.3 blocks and 0.8 treys. Nothing to see here for most owners. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:40 pm
  • Brandon Ingram scores career-high 17 points
Brandon Ingram started at SG on Friday vs. the Raptors and scored a career-high 17 points on 8-of-16 shooting.

Advice: Here he comes. The Lakers are ready to set him loose and he played 35 minutes even though the game was a blowout -- no other starter played more than 24 minutes. Ingram added six rebounds, two assists and one trey, and his path to minutes has widened with his ability to play three different positions. With Nick Young (calf) out 2-4 weeks and D'Angelo Russell (knee) still out, Ingram is looking at minutes in the 30s for the foreseeable future. He's a nice pickup in most formats and he should be even better after the All-Star break. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:40 pm
  • Derrick Williams (back) questionable Saturday
Derrick Williams (back spasms) is questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Blazers.

Advice: He said earlier that he was hopeful to play, so that's good news for a Heat team that's not expecting Luke Babbitt to play. If D-Will is ultimately ruled out, James Johnson and Josh McRoberts will hold down the fort at PF. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:04 pm
  • Nets sign Motiejunas to $37M offer sheet
The Nets have signed Donatas Motiejunas to a four-year, $37 million offer sheet.

Advice: Wow. The Rockets will have three days to match, but that doesn't seem likely. D-Mo didn't have many suitors this summer because his troublesome back raised several red flags, but clearly that didn't faze the Nets. Assuming the Rockets don't match, D-Mo could find minutes at both the four and five in Brooklyn and could have some value in deeper leagues -- he averaged 6.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.4 treys in 14.8 minutes per game in 2015-16 with Houston. For now, Trevor Booker's owners shouldn't be too worried. Rotoworld.com Friday, 4:40 pm
  • Brandon Ingram starting at SG vs. Raptors
Brandon Ingram will start at shooting guard against the Raptors on Friday.

Advice: It's the same starting lineup as Wednesday with Jose Calderon, Luol Deng, Julius Randle and Timofey Mozgov. Ingram played a whopping 41 minutes in that start with a 13.0 usage rate, so maybe he gets more shots tonight. Ingram is worth a long look in DFS and is a pickup in competitive leagues with a ton of playing time headed his way while Nick Young (calf) misses 2-4 weeks. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:18 pm
  • Rockets hope to keep Donatas Motiejunas
Donatas Motiejunas is expected to sign an offer sheet with the Nets, but the Rockets are not ready to give up hope that they might him.

Advice: Rockets general manager Daryl Morey has been told to expect to receive an offer sheet, possibly as soon as Friday. Motiejunas had met with the Brooklyn Nets this week and had been examined by their team physicians as the Nets prepare an offer sheet. "We're big fans of Donatas," Morey said. "We hope to have him at some point this year. It's our understanding he will probably sign something in the next day. We won't know until it's official. We don't know how much it will be." The Rockets would have three days to match an offer sheet or let him join the Nets. From a fantasy perspective, landing in Brooklyn offers more upside for Motiejunas. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:07 am
  • Derrick Williams (back) hopeful to play Sat.
Derrick Williams (back spasms) is hopeful he will able to play Saturday in Portland.

Advice: The Heat announced prior to Thursday's game that Williams would be unavailable due to back spasms that ultimately were confirmed as the reasons he also had been held out of Wednesday's victory over the Nuggets. Williams said that in addition to the back spasms, he also is dealing with shoulder and neck pain. "Kind of right before the [Denver] game, actually, just warming up kind of just made the wrong movement and it just stiffened up on me," he said. However, Williams is hopeful of being in uniform Saturday. Miami may only have nine healthy players. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:28 am
  • James Harden triple-doubles in 2-OT win
James Harden scored 29 points in a double-overtime win on Thursday night, adding 15 rebounds, 13 assists, two steals and one block.

Advice: Harden recorded his fourth triple-double of the season and continues to have one of the highest usage rates in the league at 34 percent. He accounts for 61.8 percent of the Rockets assists, 33.1 percent of the points, 24 percent of the steals, and 21.8 percent of the rebounds. He stuffs the stat sheet just about every night and remains a top five fantasy player. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:13 pm
  • Derrick Williams in locker room w/ back spasm
Derrick Williams, who has fallen out of the Heat rotation recently, is in the locker room with back spasms on Thursday night, according to the broadcast team.

Advice: Williams got a DNP-CD in his last game and lost his starting job to Luke Babbitt recently. Babbitt was also injured tonight (hip flexor), so red-hot Wayne Ellington got the start in the second half. Ellington's the pickup here, along with James Johnson. Ellington led the Heat in the first half with 14 points and two 3-pointers after scoring 22 and nine points in each of his previous two games. Johnson had 10 points at the half and has been playing well, and both are worth a close look with the Heat down to just seven healthy players right now. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:26 pm
  • Justin Anderson scores 15 points
Justin Anderson scored 15 points with three rebounds and three 3-pointers in 18 minutes against the Hornets on Thursday.

Advice: The Mavs have talked about upping Anderson's minutes, but it hasn't quite happened yet. In his last five, he averaged 11.0 points, 3.6 boards, 0.6 assists, 0.2 blocks, 0.2 steals and 1.4 treys in 18.4 minutes. He should be viewed as more of a stash, but it definitely helps that the Mavs are a league-worst 3-15. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:09 pm
  • Wes Matthews cools off against Hornets
Wesley Matthews made 4-of-15 from the field for 14 points with three rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 39 minutes against the Hornets on Thursday.

Advice: He was coming in on fire with 11 treys in his last two games combined. Matthews did have to go to the locker room for about two minutes in real time, but it doesn't appear to be injury related. Despite ugly 35.3 percent from the field on the year, Matthews is worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:01 pm
  • MDA wants James Harden down to 34 mpg?
Coach Mike D'Antoni said he eventually wants to get James Harden to 34 minutes per game.

Advice: This isn't the first time MDA has said he wanted to drop Harden's minutes, but he's played 37.6 minutes per game over his last five outings. Harden is still likely going to put up monster numbers and we're not expecting him to drop too far below his season average of 36.9. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:39 pm
  • Nets preparing Donatas Motiejunas offer sheet
The Nets are reportedly preparing an offer sheet for Donatas Motiejunas.

Advice: Assuming the Rockets don't match the offer sheet in the next three days, Motiejunas will become a member of the Nets. It's unclear what shape he's in, but he's worth a speculative pickup in deeper leagues as he'll see minutes in Brooklyn. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:54 am
  • Andre Roberson scores 10 points vs. Wizards
Andre Roberson scored 10 points with five rebounds, two steals, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Wizards on Wednesday.

Advice: He did suffer a minor injury earlier in the game, but he returned and looked fine. There's no word of any additional evaluation or any injury update, so he's good to go. Roberson is only a low-end hold in deeper leagues due to a low upside. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:37 pm
  • Wesley Matthews has five 3s, scores 26 points
Wesley Matthews stayed hot on Wednesday, making 8-of-19 FGs and 5-of-6 FTs, with five 3-pointers, to finish with a team-high 26 points, two rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block.

Advice: Matthews said recently that he's "never going to be worried" about his shot, and that he was always confident despite a brutal start from the field this season. In the seven games prior to tonight, he was averaging 15.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.7 steals and a whopping 3.6 triples per game, good enough for top-100 value in 8-cat leagues. He's on the upswing and is a fine pickup in most formats. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:27 pm
  • Kawhi Leonard leads short-handed Spurs to win
The Spurs bounced back from a disappointing loss to the Magic, beating the Mavericks on Wednesday 94-87 thanks to Kawhi Leonard's 21 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Advice: Leonard shot just 5-of-16 from the field but he made 9-of-12 free throws in 31 minutes, helping the Spurs maintain their undefeated record on the road. They are a perfect 11-0 on the road this season, but just 4-4 at home. Kawhi has yet to miss a game this season, which has helped him maintain top-six fantasy value in nearly all formats on a cumulative basis. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:19 pm
  • Brandon Ingram starts, plays 41 minutes
Brandon Ingram played 41 minutes as the Lakers' starting SG on Wednesday, finishing with eight points (1-of-9 FGs, 6-of-8 FGs), three rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block.

Advice: Nick Young is out 2-4 weeks with a strained calf, and it looks like Ingram will continue to start in his absence. He was averaging 12.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 threes in two previous starts, and is worth a long look for short-term production and long-term upside. The fact that he logged 41 minutes tonight is reason enough to consider him. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:50 pm
  • Brandon Ingram starting at shooting guard
Brandon Ingram will start at shooting guard against the Bulls on Wednesday.

Advice: Nick Young (calf) is going to miss the next 2-4 weeks, so Ingram could get a chance to take this job and run with it. He gets some comparisons to Kevin Durant, who also started at shooting guard in his rookie season. Ingram hasn't played too well in his rookie season, but he's worth a look in most leagues to see if he can heat up. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:26 pm
  • Nick Young (right calf) will miss 2-4 weeks
Nick Young (strained right calf) will miss the next 2-4 weeks.

Advice: An MRI confirmed his injury, which occurred in the first quarter on Tuesday night. Young was having a very solid season with career highs in field goal percentage, free throw percentage and 3-point percentage, but now his fantasy owners probably have to cut him. While he's out, the Lakers will have to lean more on Jose Calderon and Marcelo Huertas until D'Angelo Russell (knee) can return. Both Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams should be very busy while more shots should go to rookie Brandon Ingram. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:49 am
    Injured
  • Nick Young (Achilles) out Wednesday vs. CHI
Nick Young (right Achilles) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Bulls.

Advice: The Lakers haven't yet released the results of Young's MRI, so we won't be speculating on the length of his absence until that information is made available. With Young on the sidelines Wednesday night, Jordan Clarkson will more than likely move into the starting lineup, and he'll get all the run he can handle with D'Angelo Russell (knee) also unavailable. Lou Williams should also see an uptick in value, as he won't have to share the floor with a teammate that steals his passes tonight. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:31 am
    Injured
  • Nick Young (Achilles) sporting a walking boot
Nick Young (right Achilles strain) was spotted leaving the Smoothie King Center wearing a walking boot.

Advice: Young was also able to put pressure on his foot while limping around the Lakers' locker room after Tuesday's game, and he was in high spirits, although Uncle P is eternally optimistic. He's scheduled to undergo an MRI once the Lakers arrive in Chicago, but for now, we'll be considering him doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Bulls. If he's out, Jordan Clarkson will get all the burn he can handle and Brandon Ingram will see some increased opportunity with the second unit. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:06 am

  • James Harden hits 8-of-23 shots in loss
James Harden hit just 8-of-23 shots and two 3-pointers for 26 points, five rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 35 minutes of Tuesday's 120-101 loss to the Jazz.

Advice: Harden led the team in minutes, but didn't play very well tonight. He hit 11-of-22 shots in his previous game and came into this one hitting 46 percent of his shots on the season. But he's at just 41 percent overs his lsat five games and the seven dimes tied his season low. Obviously, he's fine and will be ready to blow up again in the near future. Possibly against the Warriors on Thursday. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:03 pm
