  • Jeremy Lin (hamstring) ruled out for Friday
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday against the Pelicans.

Advice: We don't even know when Lin is going to practice yet, so he's out indefinitely. Lin has hinted that him missing games is more than just about him being healthy, so the team may want to look at their younger players. Isaiah Whitehead and Spencer Dinwiddie have split the minutes for the most part, but neither are worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com 39 minutes ago

  • Additional reports on Khris Middleton
Khris Middleton (hamstring) has been aiming for a return near the All-Star break, according to C.F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Advice: This is the third different report to talk about a possible return near the All-Star break. Middleton has been doing some stuff at practice and has been doing some 1-on-1 since early this month. The Bucks will be managing his minutes, so it may be until late March until he's consistently contributing for your team. If you have a big lead or have a spare I.R. spot, give him a look. • Brandon Ingram not starting just yet
Coach Luke Walton said he has no plans to start Brandon Ingram.

Advice: Walton said the team has been doing some extra workouts with Ingram to help his shooting. In the last nine games, Ingram posted a 56.7 effective field goal percentage on jumpers. That's a massive boost from the 30.9 eFG% in his NBA career before that stretch. He's trending up, but he's still only a stash. Rotoworld.com Today, 1:13 pm
  • George Hill will play on Friday night
George Hill (ankle) will play on Friday night against the Mavs.

Advice: He suffered a late ankle tweak on Monday, but he was never considered serious. That said, Hill's injury track record this season is automatically cause for concern, so his owners have to be happy to hear he'll be good to go. He should be starting in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:42 pm
  • Plan changing on Caris Levert
Coach Kenny Atkinson said he would "love" Caris LeVert's growth to be gradual, but conceded he's making a case for more minutes.

Advice: "Some guys break through barriers; it'd be one wonderful if he could be one of those guys," Atkinson said. The hype train is picking up some steam with Atkinson saying the rookie is making a case for more minutes. "That's what we're all saying when we're watching these games," the coach added. Among all rookies to play in each of their team's last 10 games, LeVert is first in true shooting percentage. He's also first in net rating among the Nets to play in five of the last 10. LeVert hasn't translated to value in standard leagues yet, but he's trending up and is worth a stash. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:43 am
  • Wilson Chandler, Gary Harris out Thursday
Wilson Chandler (personal) and Gary Harris (ankle) will not play on Thursday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Chandler was listed as out, but now we have official confirmation. This is a tough blow for the Nuggets because Danilo Gallinari (ankle) was just downgraded to questionable. The Nuggets play two more times this week on Saturday and Sunday, so Chandler's owners should sit tight for now. Will Barton looks like a great DFS play and we could see more of rookie Juan Hernangomez. Chandler's absence also raises Kenneth Faried's floor, especially with Darrell Arthur (knee) out. • P.J. Tucker drawing interest around the NBA
P.J. Tucker is reportedly drawing interest from around the league.

Advice: Tucker is on the final year of an affordable deal, as he's on the books for just $5.3 million. With the Suns rebuilding, it's no secret that they will listen to offers for their defensive stopper. According to this report, the Clippers, Bulls, Cavaliers, Timberwolves and Hawks all have interest in Tucker, but Suns GM Ryan McDonough said earlier in the week that he doesn't like taking back late-round picks in deals which could complicate things in trade talks. If the Suns can find a new home for Tucker, T.J. Warren will get a bump and Dragan Bender will have a larger role. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:22 am
  • Khris Middleton could return in February?
The Bucks are "increasingly hopeful" that Khris Middleton (hamstring) could return in early- to mid-February, according to ESPN sources.

Advice: The same sentiment was echoed by ESPN's announcers during Wednesday's game. Middleton previously said that he hoped to play just after the All-Star game, and the Bucks' organizational optimism is even more encouraging. There are no firm return dates, to be clear, and Middleton remains a very risky stash unless you have multiple IR spots or the luxury of a huge lead in your league. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:19 pm

  • Monta Ellis has another terrible game
Monta Ellis scored two points with four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 29 minutes against the Kings on Wednesday.

Advice: He's had a miserable season and maybe he's not healthy. Ellis has scored two points in three of his last five games and has seen his usage drop big time. If you want to drop Ellis for a hot free agent, we still don't blame you. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:45 pm
  • Victor Oladipo scores 20 pts w/ four steals
Victor Oladipo bounced back on Wednesday with 20 points, three rebounds, two assists, four steals and one block during a 121-100 loss in Oracle Arena on Wednesday.

Advice: The Thunder were pummeled by the Clippers on Monday, which limited VO to 24 minutes, a fluky game that should be dismissed for evaluation purposes. The best sign for fantasy owners is that Oladipo's four steals tonight were a season high -- he has eight in his past three games, a trend that could significantly boost his overall fantasy appeal. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:31 pm
  • Arron Afflalo gets the start on Wednesday
Arron Afflalo made a start against the Pacers on Wednesday with 11 points, one rebound, one assist, one block and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: He could be a bigger part of the rotation again with Rudy Gay (Achilles) likely out for the season. Although, Afflalo was a DNP-CD at times even when Gay missed games last month. His upside is really low anyway, so he's more of a deep-league pickup. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:23 pm
  • Garrett Temple drops nine points in 29 mins
Garrett Temple played 29 minutes off the bench against the Pacers on Wednesday with nine points, four rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He should be getting a big bump in usage and playing time with Rudy Gay (Achilles). In the previous stretch Gay missed 10 of 11 games, Temple averaged 10.2 points, 3.4 boards, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 treys on 42.4 percent from the field and 89.5 percent from the line. That was good for eighth-round value, so he is worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:15 pm
  • J.J. Redick, Crawford to see more minutes
Doc Rivers said that J.J. Redick and Jamal Crawford will likely play more minutes to help compensate for the loss of Chris Paul (left thumb surgery).

Advice: Rivers was explicit about his reasoning. "Austin [Rivers] and Raymond [Felton] are the only two [points guards], really," he said. "[But] we don’t want to tax Raymond and Austin to the point that they’re not doing what they do well." Redick should already be owned, and Rivers and Felton are hot pickups with CP3 on the shelf for 6-8 weeks, but for now Crawford is just a borderline option in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:04 pm
  • Stanley Johnson earning Van Gundy's praise
Stanley Johnson fared well in 32 minutes of action on Wednesday, making 3-of-5 shots and a 3-pointer to score seven points with four boards, three assists and three steals.

Advice: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) was out again tonight, making it much easier for Johnson to earn minutes, but his recent play should keep him in the rotation going forward. "I think his professionalism, his work ethic, his approach, his conditioning, have all been good lately," said coach Stan Van Gundy. "So I don’t think it’s really a coincidence that he’s playing a lot better." Johnson admitted that playing limited minutes in the NBA has been a difficult adjustment, and even with the improved play he's not worth owning outside of very deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:11 pm
  • Reggie Jackson's 26 points lead DET past ATL
Reggie Jackson drained 10-of-20 shots en route to 26 points on Wednesday, adding five boards, four assists and two 3-pointers in an easy 118-95 win vs. Atlanta.

Advice: Detroit scored 42 points in the first quarter tonight, their highest-scoring quarter of the entire season, and Jackson was the early engine of the offense. He's really found a groove in January, averaging 19.5 points, 1.8 triples, 5.4 assists and 0.9 steals, which is more in line with his numbers from last season. His owners' patience is finally paying off. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:09 pm
  • Eric Gordon scores 25 points vs. Bucks
Eric Gordon scored 25 points with four rebounds and seven 3-pointers in 32 minutes against the Bucks on Wednesday.

Advice: That ankle issue clearly didn't bother him. Gordon had been in a shooting slump this month, making just 31.1 percent from deep in his previous January games. After the game, Gordon passed Stephen Curry for first in the NBA for total 3-pointers -- Curry could pass him back tonight against the Thunder. These sharpshooters will face off on Friday night. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:00 pm
  • Arron Afflalo starts, Garrett Temple to bench
Arron Afflalo will start and Garrett Temple will move to the bench on Wednesday against the Pacers.

Advice: It makes sense because the Kings need Temple to be the backup point guard. Temple's value is fine off the bench while Afflalo can stay on the wire. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:30 pm
  • Eric Gordon will play on Wednesday night
Eric Gordon (ankle) will play on Wednesday night against the Bucks.

Advice: He should be ready to roll after a tweak of his ankle. Gordon continues to make his money when he's not on the court next to James Harden, posting a 33.2 usage rate without The Beard and only a 19.0 with him. He's worth using in standard leagues tonight. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:28 pm
  • Wilson Chandler (personal) is listed as out
Wilson Chandler (personal) is listed as out for Thursday against the Spurs.

Advice: Being listed as out isn't the same thing as being out, so hopefully we get another update on Thursday before the road game. Kenneth Faried has played really well in the first unit, which has cost Chandler some playing time. He's still worth owning, though. If he is indeed out, Faried, Jusuf Nurkic and Juan Hernangomez could play more. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 1:56 pm
  • Eric Gordon not on the injury report
Eric Gordon (ankle) is not on the injury report for Wednesday against the Bucks.

Advice: He looked to tweak his ankle on Tuesday and did have to leave the game. The Rockets didn't have a shootaround today, so we likely won't get another update on him until about 90 minutes before tip. For now, expect him to play in a high-scoring game as the Rockets look to bounce back from a loss on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 1:38 pm
  • Atkinson says LeVert is pushing for more mins
Kenny Atkinson acknowledged that Caris LeVert has been "pushing for more minutes" with his solid play as of late and that extending his playing time is something they will look into.

Advice: The Nets 2016 first-round pick has seen his playing time rise to the lower-20s through the month of January, and he's responded with averages of 8.6 points, 1.9 dimes and 1.2 triples per game on 48.3 percent shooting. Atkinson wants LeVert to earn his minutes, and he's been doing just that with a +/- rating of +1.1 over the past nine games. He's a reasonable guy to stash, as he should be able to eventually usurp Joe Harris for the starting two-spot in Brooklyn. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:59 am
  • Brandon Ingram stuffs the stat sheet in loss
Brandon Ingram moved into the starting lineup on Tuesday vs. the Nuggets and stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, five rebounds, four assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

Advice: This was arguably one of his best games as a pro. Ingram finished 6-of-14 from the field and 1-of-2 from the line with zero turnovers. With Luol Deng (wrist) out indefinitely, Ingram is looking at 30+ minutes per night moving forward. We'd like to see him do it again because he was averaging 10.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.7 blocks and 1.0 3-pointer in his previous nine January games, and there are a couple of better fantasy pickups around the league including Raymond Felton and Austin Rivers. If those guys are unavailable, give Ingram a look, but expect some bumps in the road. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:16 pm
  • Brandon Ingram will start on Tuesday
Brandon Ingram will start on Tuesday vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: Luol Deng (wrist) is considered out indefinitely, so the rookie is looking at a hefty workload going forward. As a starter this season, Ingram has posted averages of 9.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.6 blocks and 0.7 triples in 11 games. We'll let you know how he fares tonight. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:12 pm
  • Eric Gordon has one of those nights in loss
Eric Gordon hit just 3-of-17 shots and 1-of-10 3-pointers for seven points, one rebound and one assist in Tuesday's 109-103 loss to the Heat.

Advice: Ouch. He left the game briefly to have either his ankle or toe re-taped, but never got into a groove tonight. And with Ryan Anderson out with the flu, the Rockets were looking for him to step up. Hopefully his re-taping issue is not a problem going forward and we expect him to bounce back on Wednesday against the Bucks. That is a back-to-back situation and coach Mike D'Antoni said after the game he's a little worried about whether Gordon will be ready to bounce back. Watch for news on Gordon on Wednesday, just in case. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:10 pm
  • LeVert scores 14 w/ 4 assists and 2 steals
Caris LeVert scored 14 points with four assists, three rebounds, two steals and two 3-pointers in 23 minutes in Tuesdays 119-109 loss to the Raptors.

Advice: The rookie struggled with foul trouble in the first half, but came out firing in the third quarter with a couple treys. He finished 6-of-8 from the field with one turnover, and coach Kenny Atkinson wasn't hesitant to put him on DeMar DeRozan on the defensive end. He's been great in limited minutes, but it feels like it's just a matter of time before he takes Joe Harris' spot in the first unit. LeVert looks like a solid stash for the second half of the season on a Nets' team that should prioritize player development. For what it's worth, LeVert led the team with a +/- rating of +9 in the double-digit loss. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:53 pm
  • Eric Gordon leaves, then returns for Rockets
Eric Gordon suffered a lower right leg injury of some sort on Tuesday and went to the locker room, but returned a short time later.

Advice: He likely either aggravated his toe injury or suffered a sprained ankle, but whatever the case, he had it taped back up and is back in the game. He's having a tough night, currently sitting on seven points on 3-of-11 shooting. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:09 pm
  • Jeremy Lin (hamstring) out Tuesday vs. TOR
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) will not play Tuesday vs. Toronto.

Advice: He's out indefinitely, and we're going to stop updating his status until he clears some sort of benchmark for getting back to the court (he's still not practicing). Isaiah Whitehead and Spencer Dinwiddie will continue to man the point guard position in Lin's absence, but neither guy is worth a roster spot in most settings. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 3:00 pm
    Injured
  • J.J. Redick scores 20 with five triples
J.J. Redick scored 20 points with five 3-pointers in Monday's win over the Thunder.

Advice: He shot 7-of-15 from the field in just 27 minutes, adding two assists, one rebound and two steals. Redick is rolling with averages of 19.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.6 steals and 3.8 triples over his last five games, but expect his numbers to take a hit when Blake Griffin (knee) returns in the near future. Chris Paul (sprained thumb) picked up an injury tonight, but Redick won't benefit as much if CP3 misses time because his usage rate, true shooting percentage and offensive rating are lower when CP3 isn't on the court. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:30 pm
  • George Hill tweaks ankle in win over Suns
George Hill 7-of-18 shots and 1-of-8 3-pointers for 17 points, eight rebounds and three assists in 33 minutes of Monday's win over the Suns.

Advice: He left late in the game with a sprained ankle, but it doesn't appear to be serious and he wasn't noticeably limping after the game. Injuries have been a huge problem for Hill this season, so check to make sure he's good to go against the Mavericks on Friday against the Mavericks. The good news is that he has a full three days to recover before Friday's game. If he's out, Shelvin Mack would benefit the most. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:07 pm
  • P.J. Tucker hauls in season-high 13 boards
P.J. Tucker tied his season high with 13 rebounds and added eight points and two steals in 27 minutes on Monday.

Advice: Tucker is averaging just 6.2 points over his last five games, but also 7.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 29 minutes a game. He doesn't hit threes, hand out assists or block shots, and with his shaky field goal percentage and lack of scoring, is a borderline player to target in fantasy leagues. Chances are you can do better off your waiver wire. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:55 pm
  • Wilson Chandler scores nine off Denver bench
Wilson Chandler came off the bench in Denver victory over Orlando and finished with nine points (on 4-of-12 shooting), eight rebounds, three assists, two turnovers, one 3-pointer and a steal.

Advice: Kenneth Faried slid into the starting lineup on Monday, which limited Chandler impact. It was actually the first time all season Chandler played fewer than 23 minutes. Wilson had been hot coming into Monday (averaging 17.4 points and 5.8 boards in 31.1 minutes over his last five games), so Monday's game can be viewed as a blip on the radar for the time being... Rotoworld.com Monday, 5:27 pm
  • Wilson Chandler will come off the bench Mon
Wilson Chandler will come off the bench for Monday's game against the Magic.

Advice: Kenneth Faried will get the start in what is likely a matchup based move, but Chandler tends to get his numbers regardless of how he enters the game, so his value won't take much of a hit with the second unit. Feel free to get him active for a favorable matchup with the Magic. Rotoworld.com Monday, 1:34 pm
  • Victor Oladipo scores 23 points in win
Victor Oladipo hit 7-of-14 shots for 23 points with two assists, one rebounds, two steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 39 minutes on Sunday vs. the Kings.

Advice: This marked the first time he has a 20-point game since Nov. 30. However, Oladipo is having a nice month, averaging 34.3 minutes, 17.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.3 treys per game in January. He's becoming more consistent as the season progresses, which is a good sign for fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 10:02 pm
  • Eric Gordon scores game-high 24 points Sunday
Eric Gordon lit up the Nets on Sunday for a game-high 24 points, making 9-of-14 shots with four 3-pointers in 28 minutes of action.

Advice: Gordon added three boards, three assists and just one turnover, and his recent toe injury isn't a concern. The Rockets' perimeter-happy offense has enabled him to drained a whopping 3.7 triples per game this season, which has anchored his mid-round fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 6:06 pm
  • P.J. Tucker scores six points
P.J. Tucker scored six points with five rebounds, two assists, four steals and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes against the Spurs on Saturday.

Advice: He did get the business from Kawhi Leonard for most of this game, but Tucker came up big late to get the big win. He'll have some low-end value while the Suns are technically in playoff contention, but he's only a guy on deep-league radars. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:03 pm
  • Brandon Ingram plays really well in loss
Brandon Ingram scored 14 points with five rebounds, five assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: With Luol Deng resting, Ingram started the second half. He's playing a lot better and it has a lot to do with his shot selection. Ingram is open more on his jumper lately and he's also been very good close to the basket, making 64.0 percent on his shots within eight feet in his previous 10 -- that accounts for 38 percent of his total. Ingram is trending up, but his standalone value isn't that great right now. He should have solid value in about a month and is worth a pickup in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 2:53 pm
  • Jeremy Lin remains out for Sunday night
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) will not play on Sunday against the Rockets.

Advice: He wants to play in the next week or so, but some comments from the Nets suggest Lin sitting out is more than just getting him healthy. In other words, Lin is likely out for quite a few games despite how he said he's healing faster than his last hamstring strain. If you're going to stash him, you will need some serious patience. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 2:08 pm
    Injured
  • Brandon Ingram starts 3Q over Lou
Brandon Ingram started the third quarter over Lou Williams on Saturday.

Advice: The Lakers were torched in the first half and were down 19 at half, so that's likely the reasoning here. There's no reason to react to this news from a fantasy perspective. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 1:55 pm
  • Jackson: 'It's been a season from hell'
Reggie Jackson voiced his frustration regarding the Pistons poor defense after getting blown out by the Jazz on Saturday.

Advice: "It has to be fixed -- or it's going to be a long (expletive) season," Jackson said. "It's been a season from hell so far. So it's going to be a long-(expletive) season if we don't find a way to fix it." Over the last 15 games, the Pistons possess the second-worst defensive rating in the NBA while allowing 111.0 points per game. Coach Stan Van Gundy has tried to tweak the lineup but hasn't found the right recipe. Jackson has struggled himself but his minutes will likely stay consistently high. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 6:33 am
  • George Hill scores 22 w/ five 3-pointers
George Hill scored 22 points with five 3-pointers in Friday's blowout win over the Pistons.

Advice: He shot a blistering 8-of-13 from the field with four rebounds, one assist and one turnover, but only played 27 minutes due to the lopsided score. Hill is averaging 17.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.8 triples over his last four games since returning from a concussion, but all he has to do now is stay on the court. He's been a top-30 player in standard leagues when you don't factor in the games he's missed. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:09 pm
  • Stanley Johnson plays 26 minutes in loss
Stanley Johnson played 26 minutes against the Jazz on Friday and scored 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting.

Advice: The second-year forward added two triples and one steal. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) was out and Johnson was a candidate to start after logging 37 minutes in his previous outing, but the Pistons rolled with Aron Baynes to match up Utah's size up front. With that said, don't be surprised if Johnson starts on Sunday vs. the Lakers if KCP is out again. Johnson is only on the radar in very deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:36 pm
  • Eric Gordon returns, looks rusty
Eric Gordon scored 13 points in his return to the lineup on Friday, adding one rebound, one assist and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: The left big toe sprain didn't hinder his playing time, playing just above his 30.6 minutes per game average. Gordon goes from a tough matchup tonight to a dream matchup on Sunday against the Nets. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:18 pm
  • Victor Oladipo scores 19 points vs. MIN
Victor Oladipo scored 19 points with five rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes against the Wolves on Friday.

Advice: We're still waiting for him to add the other stats to go with some scoring, but he's trending up. In his previous January games, Oladipo averaged 16.2 points, 3.8 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.7 treys on 44.2 percent from the field. There's still a chance to buy low. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:46 pm
  • Caris LeVert slows down on Friday
Caris LeVert scored three points with one rebound and one 3-pointer against the Raptors in 19 minutes on Friday.

Advice: The stat line looks bad, but there are a lot of positives. Even after a really bad defensive game on Thursday, coach Kenny Atkinson put LeVert on DeRozan a lot tonight. Plus, his teammates missed a lot of shots off great passes. LeVert is still more of a stash, but his coach loves him and he should start trending up the more the Nets lose. They've lost nine straight. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:49 pm
  • Eric Gordon wants to test toe before game
Eric Gordon has been cleared to play Friday against Memphis, but said he still wants to give it one more test before the game to be sure.

Advice: Gordon is still likely to play on Friday, but it's not a certainty. "I just started running a little bit for the first time (Thursday). It's still painful a little bit, but we'll see how it goes before the game, try to get ready for the game," Gordon said after shootaround. "You got to play with some kind of pain. You have to deal with it." Check back prior to tip-off, as we will pass along offical word once it is announced. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:33 am
  • Jeremy Lin (hamstring) will not play Friday
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) will not play Friday night in Toronto.

Advice: No surprise here, as Lin has been ruled out indifferently. On Thursday, Lin day say he hoped to return within a "couple of weeks." Lin is a notoriously slow healer, so it should be noted that the team has still not given an official timetable. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:05 am
    Injured
  • Eric Gordon (toe) will play Friday night
Eric Gordon (left big toe sprain) is available to play Friday night vs. the Grizzlies.

Advice: Gordon has missed each of the Rockets last two games due to the toe injury, which allowed Steph Curry to pass him for the league lead in made 3-pointers. However, Gordon, who is a strong early-season candidate for the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award, will look to get back on track Friday night. Gordon is averaging 17.8 points and 3.7 3-pointers per game this season. Get him back in your starting lineups. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:44 am
  • Stanley Johnson plays 37 minutes vs. Warriors
Stanley Johnson scored eight points with three assists, two rebounds, one block and two 3-pointers in a season-high 37 minutes on Thursday against the Warriors.

Advice: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) was injured during the game and did not return, which led to heavy minutes for Johnson. Darrun Hilliard also played 26 minutes, scoring six points with three assists and one rebound. If KCP misses any time with the injury, both Johnson and Hilliard will see a boost in minutes, with Johnson likely getting the starts. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:24 pm
  • Brandon Ingram scores nine in 32 minutes
Brandon Ingram scored nine points with two rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes against the Spurs on Thursday.

Advice: The sprained wrist injury clearly didn't affect his playing time -- it is to his non-shooting wrist. Ingram said he was only dealing with some discomfort and didn't even notice the injury the day of on Wednesday, so he should be fine going forward. The more the Lakers lose, the better Ingram's fantasy value will be. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:18 pm
  • Reggie Jackson is starting vs. GSW
Reggie Jackson will start against the Warriors on Thursday.

Advice: On Tuesday, he had a dehydration issue for the second time in the last 12 months, so hopefully the Pistons do a better job in that department. He should be ready to go and will likely be asked to score a ton tonight. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:06 pm
  • Caris LeVert scores 10 points in loss
Caris LeVert scored 10 points with three rebounds, one assist, two steals and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes against the Pelicans on Thursday.

Advice: He did close this game out after he was the 10th Net to see action. LeVert's offense has been all over the highlights for his explosive style, but he had a really rough time on the defensive end against Tyreke Evans. LeVert played 24.0 minutes per game over his four games and it feels like it's just a matter of time before he starts. We still view him as more of a stash, but his attractiveness as a fantasy asset increases with every Nets loss. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:58 pm
  • Brandon Ingram will play on Thursday night
Brandon Ingram (wrist) will play on Thursday night against the Spurs.

Advice: X-rays were negative on Ingram's left wrist. He didn't realize he hurt it on Wednesday and had a precautionary X-ray after dealing with some soreness today. Expect Ingram to play minutes in the uppers 20s. He is more of a stash in standard leagues, but he is playing a lot better lately. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 5:20 pm
  • Brandon Ingram sprains wrist, getting X-ray
Brandon Ingram sprained his left wrist at practice on Wednesday and will be getting X-rays.

Advice: He certainly has a chance to miss tonight's game against the Spurs. We don't have many details now, but the Lakers are usually terrific with sharing news on their injured players. If he's out, we should see more three-guard lineups and Luol Deng. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 4:21 pm
  • Wilson Chandler scores 21 in 32 minutes
Wilson Chandler scored 21 points in 32 minutes against the Pacers on Thursday, adding eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He likes playing overseas and tore it up in China during the NBA lockout season. After a sub-par finish to his 2016, Chandler is rolling in 2017 with averages of 17.4 points, 5.8 boards, 2.4 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.0 treys. He is a bit of a sell-high player due to trade rumors and being injury prone. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 2:44 pm
  • Monta Ellis scores 12 points off bench
Monta Ellis scored 12 points with two rebounds, one assist and two steals in 27 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Advice: He's still wearing his mask and it doesn't seem to be affecting his confidence. Ellis saw a lot of run in garbage time today, which is a great sign of his minutes limit going away. Techincally, he doesn't have a limit, but Ellis played just 19.5 minutes per game over his previous four. He's had a bad season, so he's got some work to do to have value in standard leagues. • Eric Gordon (toe) listed as probable
Eric Gordon (left big toe sprain) is listed as probable in the game notes for Friday against the Grizzlies.

Advice: He didn't even travel for Wednesday, so getting the probable tag in the game notes doesn't hold too much weight. He should be considered questionable for now and we should have an update on Friday morning. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 12:54 pm
  • Mudiay, Harris, Gallo, Chandler & Jokic start
Emmanuel Mudiay, Gary Harris, Danilo Gallinaro, Wilson Chandler and Nikola Jokic will start against the Pacers on Thursday.

Advice: The Nuggets go back to their usual starting lineup with most of their depth set for this one -- Darrell Arthur (leg) is out. Chandler should be looking at minutes in the low 30s, assuming his illness doesn't limit him. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:59 am
  • Jeremy Lin expecting to return in 1-2 weeks?
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) said in a Chinese-language video he is hopeful to return in a couple weeks.

Advice: He said the recovery is progressing faster than last time. Lin has said he's going through some strengthen tests on his hamstring. The Nets obviously won't be rushing him back and there's a chance he is out beyond the two weeks. He's worth a stash, but he doesn't have a specific target date. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:55 am

  • Wilson Chandler will play in London
Wilson Chandler (illness) will play in London against the Pacers on Thursday.

Advice: He popped up on the injury report earlier today and it sounds like he's good to go. He'll obviously be a risky DFS play because he may not be able to finish the game. With Darrell Arthur (leg) out, Chandler has a good chance to start. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:39 am
  • Wilson Chandler (illness) is questionable
Wilson Chandler (illness) is questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Pacers.

Advice: It feels like half the NBA is dealing with an illness right now including a few players on the Nuggets. We've seen studs like Jimmy Butler and Giannis Antetokounmpo post duds while playing through an illness, so Chandler will be very risky in DFS if he suits up. Danilo Gallinari (ankle) was originally questionable, but he's now expected to play and should benefit if Chandler sits. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:26 am
  • J.J. Redick: 22 pts w/ season-high five dimes
J.J. Redick scored 22 points on 7-of-16 FGs and 5-of-7 FTs vs. the Magic on Wednesday, adding a season-high five assists and six rebounds in 36 minutes.

Advice: Redick's six rebounds were his second-highest total of the season, trailing only Sunday's total of seven boards, and he's been terrific in the month of January. He added three 3-pointers and one block without a single turnover tonight, and needs to be started in all leagues until (or unless) he cools off. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:35 pm
  • Reggie Jackson practices on Wednesday
Reggie Jackson (dehydration) practiced on Wednesday.

Advice: He should be all set for Thursday night against the big game at Golden State on Thursday. Jackson played a whopping 47 minutes against the Blazers on Sunday and played 31 minutes on Tuesday before his dehydration. He looks like he's trending up. It's worth a mention he had a dehydration issue back in February, so someone needs to get him some water and/or electrolytes. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:45 pm
  • Jeremy Lin out again for Thursday night
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) is out again for Thursday night against the Pelicans.

Advice: This will be his eighth game out of the lineup. Lin doesn't have a timetable to return and clearly the Nets won't be in a hurry to bring him back after he aggravated his hamstring strain. With him out, we've seen some Spencer Dinwiddie as the backup point guard and Isaiah Whitehead splitting the minutes as the starter. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 1:54 pm

  • Reggie Jackson treated for dehydration
Reggie Jackson was treated for dehydration following Detroit's 100-94 loss to Sacramento on Tuesday.

Advice: Jackson has dealt with hydration issues in the past, but it's never been something that has forced him to the sidelines, so he should be just fine for Thursday's game in Oakland. After a slow start to the year, Jackson has been rolling over the past seven games, posting top-50 value behind averages of 21.9 points, 6.7 assists, 2.0 triples and 2.4 turnovers per game on 48.0 percent shooting. This is probably his peak, so owners may want to pursue some sell-high opportunities. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:57 am
  • Brandon Ingram scores 11, hits two treys
Brandon Ingram scored 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting vs. the Blazers on Tuesday.

Advice: The rookie added four rebounds, two assists, one block and two triples in 26 minutes. Luol Deng was the only starter with double-digit points, so Ingram didn't get as much burn this time. With that said, He's now scored an average of 14.0 points over his last four games with a combined six 3-pointers, so he's slowly graduating from a stash to a standard-league asset. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:21 pm
  • George Hill goes for 13 & 7 in win
George Hill hit 5-of-11 shots and two 3-pointers for 13 points, three rebounds and seven assists in Tuesday's 100-92 win over the Cavaliers.

Advice: He's been back for three games and is averaging 15.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.0 3-pointers since his return. Now owners just need to get Hill back in the lineup and hope he doesn't go down again. After a very hot start to the season, Hill missed all but two December games with a concussion and a toe injury. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:48 pm
  • Caris LeVert scores 11 in 23 minutes
Caris LeVert scored 11 points in 23 minutes on Tuesday vs. the Hawks.

Advice: The rookie looked great once again, adding three rebounds, two assists and one triple on 4-of-9 shooting. It feels like it's just a matter of time before he replaces Joe Harris (two points in 14 minutes) in the starting lineup, so he's trending up as a nice stash in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:28 pm
  • Lakers impressed with Ingram's work ethic
Laker coaches and players alike have raved about rookie Brandon Ingram's work ethic this season.

Advice: "When you have that type of work ethic and you can play basketball the way he can," coach Luke Walton said, "he’s going to continue to get better and better at different things." Ingram cumulative numbers aren't overly impressive, but the rook has played better of late, averaging 15.0 points (on 62.5 percent shooting), 4.3 rebounds, and 1.3 3-pointers over his last three games. It' also safe to assume his minutes and usage rate will increase over the second half of the season. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:19 am
  • Jeremy Lin (hamstring) out Tuesday vs. ATL
Jeremy Lin (hamstring) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Hawks.

Advice: He remains without an official timetable to return, and thus far, we haven't had any reports of him ramping up his activities at practice. It doesn't seem like Lin is close to a return, so he's a cut-candidate in leagues without an IR-spot. Isaiah Whitehead, Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert will continue to split Lin's minutes, with LeVert offering the most upside out of that group. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 1:57 pm

  • Garrett Temple plays 42 minutes as starter
Garrett Temple had 14 points, three assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers in 42 minutes as a starter vs. Golden State on Sunday.

Advice: Temple is averaging 32.5 minutes in his past five games, but he's done nothing to warrant fantasy ownership. He should be viewed with skepticism even if he does continue to start alongside Darren Collison (14 points in 30 minutes). Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 9:55 pm
