  • Larry Nance (hip) probable for Wednesday
Larry Nance (right hip pointer) is probable to play Wednesday vs. Oklahoma City.

Advice: Nance tweaked his hip on Monday but was able to play through it, and it sounds like that's what he'll be doing tonight. Check back for official confirmation on his status closer to tip-off. 21 minutes ago
  • Richaun Holmes (illness) out Thursday vs. BOS
Richaun Holmes (gastroenteritis) will not suit up for Thursday's game in Boston.

Advice: This will be Holmes second straight game on the sidelines due to the stomach bug, which will translate to more minutes for Trevor Booker and Amir Johnson. Holmes is only worth owning in deep leagues as a Joel Embiid-handcuff. 33 minutes ago
  • Derrick Walton Jr. recalled from the G-League
Derrick Walton Jr. has been recalled from the G-League.

Advice: He could get into the rotation tonight with Tyler Johnson (ankle) not expected to play, but he hasn't done enough this season to warrant any attention in fantasy hoops. 55 minutes ago
  • Jordan Bell will start Wednesday vs. Chicago
Jordan Bell will remain in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Bulls, with Draymond Green (shoulder) unavailable.

Advice: Bell should see his minutes closer to the 25-minute mark tonight with Green watching from the sidelines, so he could be someone to think about streaming in deep leagues. As a starter this season, Bell owns averages of 7.7 points, 5.6 boards, 3.3 dimes, 1.1 steals and 1.8 swats per contest on 64.7% shooting. Today, 9:15 am
  • Andre Iguodala (calf) out Wednesday vs. CHI
Andre Iguodala (left calf contusion) will not play Wednesday vs. the Bulls.

Advice: It's not surprising to see the 33-year-old veteran take the night off with a matchup against the 17-27 Bulls, but we'd expect him to get back out there for Saturday's game in Houston. With Iggy unavailable tonight, Omri Casspi and Nick Young will pick up most of his minutes, but neither of those guys are great targets with Kevin Durant healthy. Today, 9:12 am
  • Dakari Johnson recalled from the G-League
Dakari Johnson has been recalled from the G-League.

Advice: He only plays if the game is a blowout. Today, 8:56 am
  • Frank Kaminsky (ankle) upgraded to probable
Frank Kaminsky (right ankle sprain) has been upgraded to probable for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.

Advice: Kaminsky tweaked his ankle during the fourth quarter of Monday's win over the Pistons, but it looks like he might not need to miss any additional game-time action. Check back for official confirmation on his status closer to tip-off. Today, 8:35 am
  • Report: Bulls shopping Jerian Grant
The Bulls are reportedly shopping Jerian Grant.

Advice: With Zach LaVine back, and Kris Dunn excelling at point guard, Grant has become an expendable piece for the Bulls. They also would probably like to get a good look at Cameron Payne (foot) after the All-Star break, and moving Grant would make it easier to do that. It's unlikely Grant will be much more than a backup regardless of where he winds up, so the name on the jersey won't have much impact on his status as a non-option in fantasy hoops. Today, 7:54 am
  • J.J. Barea (groin) hopeful for Saturday
J.J. Barea (groin) is hopeful that he'll be able to get back to the court for Saturday's game in Portland.

Advice: Barea missed Tuesday's game due to the groin issue, but said he "should be okay," and he'll have had a full week off going into Saturday's game so maybe he'll be able to get back out there. If Barea is able to return to the court, Devin Harris' minutes will take a hit. Today, 6:54 am
  • Shane Larkin returned to action on Tuesday January 16. Today, 12:47 am
  • Shabazz Napier stays relevant on Tuesday
Shabazz Napier played through a sore back and hit 5-of-9 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points, three rebounds, six assists and a steal in 20 minutes of Tuesday's win over the Suns.

Advice: While it's true he's a must-start any time the Blazers are without Damian Lillard, he's actually managed to stay afloat with Lillard back. He returned to action four games ago and Napier has averaged 11.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.5 3-pointers over that stretch, despite sitting out the entire second half on Sunday with the back problem. Those aren't must-own numbers and he's tough to trust with Lillard healthy, but he might be worth grabbing, especially as a Lillard insurance policy. Yesterday, 10:01 pm
  • Troy Daniels scores 18 points vs. Blazers
Troy Daniels scored 18 points vs. the Blazers on Tuesday, hitting 6-of-13 shots in 32 minutes.

Advice: He had 11 3-point attempts and connected on six of them, adding one rebound and one steal. Josh Jackson had four fouls which limited him to 23 minutes and T.J. Warren (foot) missed another game, so Daniels stepped up when coach Jay Triano called his name. The Suns only have one more game this week and it's not until Friday, so there's no reason to pick up Daniels in most leagues. Yesterday, 9:39 pm
  • Josh Jackson (groin) scores eight points
Josh Jackson (groin) scored eight points vs. the Blazers on Tuesday, hitting 4-of-12 shots with two rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Advice: He had four fouls which limited him to 23 minutes, so he couldn't build off his 21-point game on Sunday. The game is slowing down for the rookie and his outlook for the rest of the season is promising with the Suns focusing on player development, but this isn't a great week to stash him since they only have one more game on the schedule this week. Yesterday, 9:33 pm
  • Mason Plumlee plays 14 minutes off bench
Mason Plumlee moved to the bench on Tuesday vs. Dallas, playing 14 minutes with five points and three rebounds.

Advice: He played exclusively as the backup center and didn't see any minutes next to Jokic. He was a deep-league asset even as a starter, so he belongs on the wire in most leagues even if this was a temporary move. Yesterday, 9:08 pm
  • Mason Plumlee will come off the bench
Mason Plumlee will come off the bench on Tuesday vs. Dallas.

Advice: He was considered probable to play with a core strain, but the Nuggets will make a lineup switch to counter Dallas small-ball lineup. There's no word on whether or not this will be more than a temporary move, but this matchup is better suited for guys like Wilson Chandler and Trey Lyles. Yesterday, 5:55 pm
  • Shabazz Napier (back) is available vs. Suns
Shabazz Napier (back) is available to play against the Suns on Tuesday.

Advice: He's dealing with a strained lower back and left Sunday's game early, but he'll give it a go tonight. He's hard to trust while Damian Lillard is healthy, but he's been terrific for a few weeks and the Blazers need to find more minutes for him. Yesterday, 5:01 pm
  • Arron Afflalo and Nemanja Bjelica ejected
Arron Afflalo and Nemanja Bjelica were both ejected in the second quarter of Tuesday's game.

Advice: Both players were chirping at each other for a few minutes, but Afflalo started swinging when the two were competing for a rebound. Afflalo is likely looking at a suspension, but he shouldn't be owned in fantasy leagues anyways. While he's out, Wes Iwundu and Mario Hezonja could pick up some extra minutes. Yesterday, 4:50 pm
  • Josh Jackson (groin) will start on Tuesday
Updating a previous report, Josh Jackson (groin) will start Tuesday in Portland.

Advice: Jackson played well in his previous start sans Warren, scoring a career-high 21 points to go with six boards, three dimes and two triples in 30 minutes of floor time, so he's someone to consider in DFS with what should be a favorable and uptempo matchup with the Trail Blazers.Daily Slant: With all inactive/non-rotation members off the floor - including Warren and Chriss, who were both ruled out today - Jackson is averaging 0.93 fantasy points per minute with a very solid 28.2% usage rate, making him an attractive target in all DFS formats. Dragan Bender also appears to be locked into at least 28-30 minutes of court time, making him a viable bounce back candidate. Yesterday, 1:27 pm
  • Mason Plumlee (core strain) probable Tuesday
Mason Plumlee (core strain) is probable to play Tuesday vs. the Mavericks.

Advice: He's been playing through the core strain issue for over a month, and it's likely going to be something he just has to deal with for the rest of the season. Plumlee is not a viable fantasy option in most leagues. Yesterday, 1:08 pm
  • Andre Iguodala (calf) questionable Wednesday
Andre Iguodala (left calf contusion) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game in Chicago.

Advice: Iguodala has been dealing with soreness in his hips and knees lately, but the calf issue is new. The Dubs could opt to give him a rest day against a team that they should be able to beat without his services, which would translate to more minutes for Omri Casspi and Nick Young. Check back for another update following Wednesday morning's shootaround. Yesterday, 1:02 pm
  • Josh Jackson (groin) available to play
Josh Jackson (groin) will be available to play Tuesday vs. Portland.

Advice: T.J. Warren (back) is out, so Jackson should be looking at another start tonight, and he's someone to think about in daily leagues. In his past four appearances, Jackson has produced averages of 16.3 points, 2.0 triples, 7.0 boards, 3.3 dimes and 1.7 turnovers per contest on 41.9% shooting. Yesterday, 12:47 pm
  • Dakari Johnson sent down to the G-League
Dakari Johnson has been assigned to the Thunder's G-League affiliate.

Advice: No fantasy spin here, as Johnson is irrelevant while Steven Adams is healthy. Yesterday, 12:46 pm
  • Larry Nance (hip) questionable for Wednesday
Larry Nance (right hip pointer) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Thunder.

Advice: Nance played through the hip issue on Monday, but it may have gotten worse overnight. We'll have a better idea on his status following Wednesday morning's shootaround, but if he does need to hit the sidelines, Kyle Kuzma and Julius Randle would pick up most of his minutes. Stay tuned. Yesterday, 12:25 pm
  • Frank Kaminsky (ankle) questionable Wednesday
Frank Kaminsky (ankle) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.

Advice: Kaminsky sprained his right ankle during the fourth quarter of Monday's win over the Pistons, and he was in a good amount of pain after the injury, so it wouldn't be shocking to see him sit out Wednesday's game. We should have another update following Wednesday morning's shootaround, but if he's out, Marvin Williams and Dwight Howard would likely split most of his minutes. Johnny O'Bryant could also get into the rotation, but he wouldn't be a fantasy target. Yesterday, 11:20 am
  • Josh Jackson (groin) questionable Tuesday
Josh Jackson (groin) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game vs. the Blazers.

Advice: Jackson was listed as questionable for Sunday's contest as well, but ended up starting in place of T.J. Warren (back) and scored a career-high 21 points, with six rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes. Over the Suns last four games, Jackson is averaging 15.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.8 treys, while shooting 47.1 percent from the floor and 46.7 percent from downtown. Yesterday, 7:21 am
  • Andre Iguodala scores nine in return
Andre Iguodala returned from a hip injury and hit 3-of-11 shots for nine points, six rebounds, three assists and a steal, but was 0-for-4 from downtown in Monday's win.

Advice: He's probably still not playing at 100 percent and doesn't do enough on most nights to be owned in standard fantasy leagues. Monday, 8:15 pm
  • Jordan Bell plays 14 minutes in start
Jordan Bell played just 14 minutes in a start on Monday, finishing with six points, three rebounds and nothing else.

Advice: He's probably not going to stick in the starting unit, as Steve Kerr loves Zaza Pachulia and the Cavs start a power forward (Kevin Love) at center. And even if he were to stick, he's only worth using on nights when Draymond Green or Kevin Durant won't play. Monday, 8:09 pm
  • Larry Nance double-doubles in loss
Larry Nance played through a hip injury suffered on Monday and double-doubled with 15 points, 11 rebounds, three steals and three blocks in 26 minutes.

Advice: He hit 6-of-9 shots and owners might want to monitor him going forward, as he was in a lot of pain after banging hips with Deyonte Davis and was wearing a huge contraption around his waist when he wasn't playing in order to ease the pain. He's double-doubled in two of his last three games and left early with a cut above his eye on Saturday. He's banged up, but playing well when the minutes are there. Monday, 5:22 pm
  • Jordan Bell starting, Pachulia to bench
Jordan Bell will start on Monday vs. the Cavaliers, sending Zaza Pachulia to the bench.

Advice: Coach Steve Kerr went with this lineup against the Cavaliers on Christmas, as he's expecting a lot of small ball tonight. Bell is coming off two straight DNP-CDs and he might be in and out of the rotation based on matchups, but his solid upside in fantasy has never been in question. Monday, 4:52 pm
  • Larry Nance Jr. (back) available to return
Larry Nance Jr. hurt his back during Monday's game against the Grizzlies, but he's available to return.

Advice: He got bumped on a drive to the hoop, hit one of two of his freebies and then limped his way back to the locker room. We'll provide another update after the game, but it doesn't seem like he's dealing with anything serious. Monday, 3:43 pm
  • Shabazz Napier (back) questionable Tuesday
Shabazz Napier (strained lower back) is questionable for Tuesday's game vs. Phoenix.

Advice: Napier left during the second quarter of Sunday's game and this is an unfortunate break, as he'd been playing very well the past few weeks. Hopefully we'll get some good news after Portland's shootaround, but if he can't suit up Pat Connaughton should get extra run with the second unit. Monday, 1:39 pm
  • Frank Kaminsky leaves with sprained ankle
Frank Kaminsky sprained his right ankle with about seven minutes left in the fourth quarter on Monday and never returned, finishing with five points, five rebounds and a 3-pointer on 2-of-7 shooting.

Advice: He was defending a driving Tobias Harris and rolled it pretty badly on the play. He was down for several moments and in obvious pain, and couldn't stand up the first time he tried. He limped to the bench, and then locker room, and given the amount of pain he was in, it would not be surprising to see him miss at least a game or two due to the injury. Marvin Williams and Johnny O'Bryant would get some extra work if he's out. Monday, 11:39 am
  • J.J. Barea (groin) listed as out Tuesday
J.J. Barea (groin) is listed as out for Tuesday's game vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: This is coming from the team's game notes, but his owners should go ahead and have a backup plan ready. Keep in mind that Dallas has just two games total this week. Dennis Smith Jr., Yogi Ferrell and Devin Harris will all get a bump with Barea expected to sit out. Monday, 10:02 am
  • Andre Iguodala (hip) is available Monday
Andre Iguodala (hip) is available on Monday vs. the Cavaliers.

Advice: He's been a regular on the injury report this season with a variety of ailments, but he'll power through it today and will spend a lot of time guarding LeBron James. Iggy usually steps up against Cleveland, so he could have some value even though the Warriors will have their full lineup. Monday, 9:14 am
  • Richaun Holmes (illness) ruled out Monday
Richaun Holmes will not play on Monday vs. the Raptors due to an illness.

Advice: Amir Johnson missed Philly's last game with an illness, but he's currently questionable. If Johnson is unable to back up Joel Embiid, Trevor Booker and Dario Saric might see some time at the five. Holmes hasn't been playing much lately and is just a handcuff for Embiid's owners. Monday, 9:03 am
  • Shabazz Napier exits Sunday w/ back tightness
Shabazz Napier (back) didn't play in the second half on Sunday, finishing with nine points, two assists and one block in 12 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Napier was efficient with 3-of-5 FGs and 2-of-2 FTs, but his back "tightened up" during the game, according to coach Terry Stotts. His recent play has ensured him a solid spot in the rotation, but owners will need to check for updates on Monday before relying on him in weekly lineups. If he does miss time, expect Pat Connaughton to pick up most of the slack. Sunday, 9:12 pm
  • Josh Jackson notches career-high 21 points
Josh Jackson started in place of T.J. Warren (back) on Sunday, scoring a career-high 21 points on 7-of-16 FGs and 5-of-5 FTs, with six rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes.

Advice: Jackson went from being questionable due to hip and groin injuries, to starting for the 15th time in his NBA career. He had a few sloppy turnovers but was otherwise a bright spot for Phoenix in this blowout home loss. Warren should be day-to-day, so this doesn't do much for Jackson's immediate value heading into a two-game week, but it's a nice reminder of his long-term upside. Sunday, 7:32 pm
  • Josh Jackson starting for T.J. Warren (back)
Josh Jackson will start Sunday's game in place of T.J. Warren (sore lower back).

Advice: Jackson came in with his own hip and groin ailments, but he practiced on Saturday and should be playing without any limitations. The absence of Marquese Chriss (hip) leaves Phoenix very shallow at the forward spots, so we're expecting a heavy workload for Jackson tonight. Sunday, 4:00 pm
  • Josh Jackson (hip, groin) available to play
Josh Jackson (hip, groin) will be available to play Sunday vs. the Pacers.

Advice: Jackson was a full participant in Saturday's practice and considering he only missed one game, he shouldn't be dealing with any sort of minutes limit tonight. He could be looking at playing time in the mid-20s with Marquese Chriss (hip) unavailable, and it'll be interesting to see if he affects Dragan Bender's minutes. Jackson has been up-and-down this season, so he's not the best fantasy target with a tough matchup against Indiana. Sunday, 3:29 pm
  • Andre Iguodala (hip) probable for Monday
Andre Iguodala (hip) is being listed as probable for Monday's game against the Cavs.

Advice: Iguodala sat out the second half of Saturday's game, but it looks like that was just a precautionary move, and he should be on the floor for Monday's Finals' rematch. However, with Golden State's core four healthy, Iguodala won't be involved enough to make a difference in most leagues. Sunday, 1:37 pm
  • Thunder recall Dakari Johnson
The Thunder have recalled Dakari Johnson from the G-League.

Advice: He was with the OKC Blue for the G-League showcase. Johnson has only played 10 minutes for the Thunder since the start of January because Steven Adams is the only true center in their rotation right now. Sunday, 7:01 am
  • Jordan Bell gets second straight DNP-CD
Jordan Bell picked up his second consecutive DNP-CD on Saturday.

Advice: Kevon Looney has averaged 22.0 minutes in the past two games and his emergence has decimated Bell's role. Omri Casspi (sore back) was ruled out tonight and Andre Iguodala (hip) didn't play in the second half, which makes Bell's DNP even more concerning. Inconsistency is a given for a rookie on a championship contender, but DNP-CDs are unsustainable. Bell has proven what he can do in 20+ minutes but it's time to consider safer options in most scenarios. Saturday, 7:36 pm
  • Andre Iguodala (hip) sits out second half
Andre Iguodala (strained hip flexor) sat out the second half of Saturday's game, which he finished with four points, one rebound and one assist.

Advice: Iguodala was walking gingerly after a drive in the first half and Steve Kerr confirmed afterward that he was "dealing with some hip issues," although the Warriors haven't provided an official injury update. We should get clarification after Sunday's practice, and there's no doubt he'll be on the injury report prior to Monday's game in Cleveland. Saturday, 7:29 pm
  • Andre Iguodala (hip) will play on Saturday
Andre Iguodala (hip) will play on Saturday against the Raptors.

Advice: Iguodala should be out there for his usual minutes tonight, but with Stephen Curry (ankle) expected to play, he won't be quite as involved in the offense. Iguodala isn't a great target in most leagues. Saturday, 3:45 pm
  • J.J. Barea goes down with a groin injury
J.J. Barea did not play during the second half on Saturday after aggravating a groin injury, finishing with five points, one 3-pointer, three rebounds, three assists and one turnover in 19 minutes.

Advice: Rick Carlisle said he had "no idea" on the severity of Barea's injury after the game, so he's likely headed for an MRI. That said, groin injuries can be tricky, so it wouldn't be surprising at all to see this result in an extended absence for the 33-year-old veteran, and if he does need to miss time that would open up minutes for Dennis Smith Jr. and Yogi Ferrell. The Mavs take on the Nuggets on Tuesday, so we should get another update on Barea in the intervening days. Saturday, 3:29 pm
  • Larry Nance exits game cut above left eye
Larry Nance exited Saturday's game with a cut above his left eye and did not return, finishing with two points and seven boards in 19 minutes off the bench.

Advice: The extent of Nance's injury is currently unclear at this point, but he'll likely be evaluated for a concussion, and there's a chance he could sit out Monday's game in Memphis. If he does indeed hit the sidelines on Monday, that would open up minutes for Julius Randle and Kyle Kuzma. Check back for another update following Monday morning's shootaround. Saturday, 1:45 pm
  • Josh Jackson, Canaan practice on Saturday
Josh Jackson (hip, groin) and Isaiah Canaan (groin) practiced on Saturday.

Advice: These guys getting through Saturday's practice is an encouraging sign regarding their status for Sunday's game against the Pacers, and we should have another update following Sunday morning's shootaround. If they are able to get back out there tomorrow, Tyler Ulis and Danuel House Jr.'s minutes would take a hit. Stay tuned. Saturday, 1:03 pm
  • Shane Larkin (illness) doesn't practice Sat
Shane Larkin (illness) did not practice on Saturday.

Advice: Larkin is an irrelevant part of the rotation in Boston, so his playing status for Tuesday's game will not have an impact in fantasy hoops. Saturday, 12:25 pm
  • Andre Iguodala (hip) questionable Saturday
Andre Iguodala (hip flexor strain) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Raptors.

Advice: Iguodala has been playing through knee and hip pain for weeks now. Seeing as Saturday is the second night of a back-to-back, the Warriors may choose to keep him sidelined for this contest. Omri Casspi (back soreness) is also listed as questionable for Saturday night. Nick Young and Patrick McCaw could see additional minutes off the Warriors bench if Iggy is unable to play. Saturday, 10:42 am
  • Shabazz Napier posts 17 points in road loss
Shabazz Napier posted 17 points with six rebounds, six assists and two steals over 36 minutes in Friday's road loss against the Pelicans.

Advice: Napier hit 7-of-15 from the floor, including 3-of-5 from behind the 3-point line, faring surprisingly well considering he was in the starting five along Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. He was solid filling in at the point when Lillard (calf) was sidelined, and he showed well here. However, his long-term fantasy outlook isn't great as long as Lillard and McCollum are each healthy and available. Friday, 9:27 pm
  • Josh Jackson (hip) ruled out Friday
Josh Jackson (hip, groin) will not play on Friday vs. the Rockets.

Advice: The Suns have no reason to deploy Jackson at less than 100 percent, but his next chance to play will be on Sunday vs. the Pacers. T.J. Warren will have a heavy workload tonight and the Suns will use a committee approach to soak up the rest of Jackson's minutes. Based on coach Jay Triano's comments, we'll see a lot of small-ball lineups. Friday, 5:54 pm
  • Shabazz Napier starting for Turner (illness)
Shabazz Napier will start on Friday vs. the Pelicans with Evan Turner (illness) out.

Advice: He'll join Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum, Al-Farouq Aminu and Jusuf Nurkic in the first unit. Napier's upside isn't as high while Lillard and McCollum are active, but he still has some streaming appeal tonight. Friday, 4:55 pm
  • Josh Jackson (groin) doubtful for Friday
Josh Jackson (groin) said he doesn't think he'll be able to take the court for Friday's game against the Rockets.

Advice: Jackson's injury was initially reported as a hip issue, but apparently, he's dealing with a groin injury, which is something that can be tricky to recover from as there's a high risk of suffering a setback if brought back too soon. It sounds like he'll be joining Marquese Chriss (hip) on the sidelines tonight, which will translate to more minutes for Jared Dudley and perhaps Daniel House will be able to get into the rotation. Friday, 11:13 am
  • Andre Iguodala (left knee) will play Friday
Andre Iguodala (left knee soreness) is available to play Friday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: Iguodala has been dealing with minor, nagging injuries for much of the season, but has played in 36 of the Warriors 42 games thus far in 2017-18. He can be left on waivers in standard leagues. Friday, 10:57 am
  • Thunder assign Dakari Johnson to G-League
The Thunder have assigned Dakari Johnson to their G-League affiliate.

Advice: Minimal fantasy impact here, as Johnson is averaging just 2.4 points and 1.2 rebounds in 6.5 minutes per game this season. Friday, 7:07 am
  • Larry Nance double-doubles off bench
Larry Nance played 30 minutes and hit 6-of-9 shots, including a highlight-reel dunk, for 14 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block on Thursday.

Advice: Brook Lopez and Julius Randle never got it going in this one, giving Nance a chance to shine off the pine. He's been playing well, especially in his last three games, and is holding ninth-round fantasy value this season, despite the presence of Randle and Kyle Kuzma, who hit just 3-of-12 shots tonight. Nance is worth owning, but he's not going to be all that reliable on nights when Randle, who failed to score in this one, and Kuzma are doing work. Thursday, 11:14 pm
  • Andre Iguodala (knee) is probable
Andre Iguodala (left knee soreness) is probable for Friday's game vs. the Bucks.

Advice: He's been a regular on the injury report and will be rested sporadically the rest of the season. He's only worth deploying when the Warriors rest a stud or two. Thursday, 4:52 pm
  • Shabazz Napier logs 23 minutes w/ Dame active
Shabazz Napier rolled his right ankle in the second half on Wednesday, but he continued playing to finish with nine points, two boards, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes.

Advice: Damian Lillard (strained right calf) was back in action tonight, which bumped Napier to the second unit and eroded his minutes. He was terrific filling in as the starting PG, though, and may have secured an 18-24 minute role from coach Terry Stotts. Napier is also a great handcuff for Lillard, even though Dame has been extremely durable throughout his career. Barring a pessimistic update about Napier's ankle, we'll leave him off the injury report. Wednesday, 9:38 pm
  • Frank Kaminsky scores hollow 10 points
scored a hollow 10 points in 18 minutes vs. Dallas, going 4-of-10 from the field with two 3-pointers and one rebound.

Advice: Charlotte was coming off a four-day break in the schedule, and they faced a tired Mavs team on the second of back-to-back games, but it was Dallas who held on for a 115-111 road win. Kaminsky continues to score double-digit points with little else -- in the past three games he's averaging 2.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.3 steals and zero blocks. Even with Cody Zeller (knee) on the shelf, he's been hurting most fantasy owners. Wednesday, 7:49 pm
  • Shabazz Napier to bench w/ Lillard starting
Shabazz Napier will come off the Blazers' bench on Wednesday.

Advice: No surprise here, as the Blazers welcome Damian Lillard (calf) back into the starting lineup. Dame is expected to be on a minute-limit, though, which could boost Napier's playing time in the short-term. Wednesday, 5:08 pm
  • Shabazz Napier scores 21 in win over Thunder
Shabazz Napier started and scored 21 points on 5-of-10 shots in Tuesday's 117-106 win over the Thunder.

Advice: The Thunder have allowed the seventh fewest fantasy points to PGs this season, making Napier's performance even more impressive. He made 10 trips to the free throw line and connected on nine of them, adding five rebounds, two assists, two steals and two treys in 34 minutes. He's become a must-start player every time Damian Lillard (calf) misses a game and was averaging 18.2 points, 5.4 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.8 triples in five previous starts. Lillard's status for Wednesday's game vs. Houston is up in the air, so be on the lookout for an update. Tuesday, 7:34 pm
  • Heat recall Derrick Walton Jr from G-League
The Heat have recalled Derrick Walton Jr. from their G-League affiliate.

Advice: Walton Jr. will be active for Tuesday's game vs. the Raptors. With Tyler Johnson (shoulder) sidelined, Walton could see some playing time off the bench. Tuesday, 3:14 pm
  • Larry Nance hits 6-of-6 FGs for 13 points
Larry Nance (illness) finished Sunday's game with 13 points on 6-of-6 shooting, adding eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 24 minutes.

Advice: Nance didn't miss any games despite battling 'flu-like symptoms' the past few days. L.A. recently waived Andrew Bogut to avoid guaranteeing his contract for the rest of the season, but Nance's playing time is still unlikely to climb while Julius Randle, Brook Lopez and Kyle Kuzma are clogging up frontcourt minutes. • Shabazz Napier thrives as fill-in starter
Shabazz Napier racked up 15 points, seven assists, five rebounds, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer as a fill-in starter on Sunday, making 7-of-9 shots in 33 minutes of action.

Advice: Damian Lillard was ruled out before tip-off due to his strained right calf, although it doesn't sounds like he'll miss much time -- the training staff thought it was "smarter" if he took the night off vs. the short-handed Spurs. Napier is a terrific handcuff for Lillard in deeper leagues, and he's worth opportunistic streaming in most situations whenever Lillard is unavailable. • Larry Nance Jr. (illness) will play on Sunday
Larry Nance Jr. (flu-like symptoms) will play vs. the Hawks on Sunday.

Advice: There's not a lot of upside for Nance with Julius Randle and Brook Lopez both healthy, but at least he won't miss any games with his recent illness. Jan 7, 4:51 pm
  • Derrick Walton Jr. assigned to G-League
Derrick Walton Jr. has been assigned to the G-League.

Advice: He has less than two weeks of NBA eligibility left, so he couldn't be any further off the fantasy radar. Jan 7, 8:37 am
  • Mason Plumlee swats three shots in road loss
Mason Plumlee finished with nine points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots over 17 minutes in Saturday's 106-98 loss at Sacramento.

Advice: Plumlee was 3-of-5 from the field and on his way to a big stat line, but foul trouble limited his playing time. He is averaging 8.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assist and 3.0 blocked shots per game over his past three outings in the month of January. He isn't a great fantasy option in most leagues, but he isn't a bad big man in deeper formats. Jan 6, 9:58 pm
