  • Devin Booker looks like he's hurt
Devin Booker scored 13 points with four rebounds, two assists and two turnovers in 32 minutes against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: He did not look 100 percent in this game. Booker took a bad fall on Friday and he couldn't make much of an impact on either end. Hopefully, getting Sunday off can help him healthy enough for Monday against the Kings. Hey, he had a game winner for the Suns against the Kings last year, maybe they won't lose by 40 in that game. 21 minutes ago
  • Nikola Jokic goes scoreless in win
Nikola Jokic made 0-of-3 from the field and didn't go to the line during a 96-79 win over the Kings on Saturday, adding nine rebounds, seven assists, one steal and three turnovers in 30 minutes.

Advice: It's not often you'll see a guy go scoreless and lead his team in plus-minus at +21. Jokic's scoring is way down so far this year with just seven points in the opener, but he gets a pass for that one against Rudy Gobert. This one? Well, who knows? Whatever the case, Jokic is still the focal point of this offense and he should be an elite fantasy asset. 40 minutes ago
  • Gary Harris shines in win over Kings
Gary Harris scored 17 points with one assist, one steal and three 3-pointers in 30 minutes against the Kings on Saturday.

Advice: He just keeps making plays on both ends and it feels like coach Mike Malone is allowing Harris to do more as an offensive weapon. Harris is one of the most efficient guards in the NBA and he looks like he'll add more well-rounded stat lines in career-high playing time. He could be even better than his breakout year last season. 46 minutes ago
  • Will Barton scores 15 points vs. Kings
Will Barton scored 15 points with five rebounds, three assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 28 minutes against the Kings on Saturday.

Advice: The best news for Barton is that coach Mike Malone is only going with Barton as a bench wing. He's handling the ball a good amount and will always carry the second unit on the offensive end. He should be owned in all leagues. Today, 10:16 pm
  • Marjanovic plays just four minutes off bench
Boban Marjanovic played just four minutes off the bench in the Pistons victory over the Knicks on Saturday.

Advice: Boban was smacked with a DNP-CD in the season opener and then was inactive on Friday. However, there was some hope heading into Saturday when it was announced Eric Moreland was inactivated for this contest. Yet Boban scored just two points on 1-of-3 shooting and failed to grab a board or block a shot in his four-minute audition. He's a drop candidate in most fantasy formats. Today, 10:14 pm
  • Skal Labissiere has another good game
Skal Labissiere scored 13 points during a 96-79 loss to the Nuggets on Saturday, adding four rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes.

Advice: He's off to a solid start so far, averaging 10.0 points, 7.5 boards, 0.5 assists, 0.5 blocks and 1.0 fouls in 23.0 minutes per game in his previous two. He seems to be earning more minutes, so he could have some standalone value to go with the stash factor. He should be owned in standard leagues. Today, 10:03 pm
  • Jusuf Nurkic double-doubles with three swats
Jusuf Nurkic scored 17 points on 7-of-17 shooting during Saturday's narrow loss to the Bucks, to go with 11 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two turnovers in 32 minutes.

Advice: Nurkic hasn't shot a great percentage through the first three games of the year, as he's been uncharacteristically inaccurate from under the basket, converting on just 33.3 percent of his attempts at the rim. However, there's really no way that trend will continue, and the fact that he's been working with a 30.7 usage rate this season is very encouraging regarding his rest of season outlook. This was his best game so far, but there's still some room to buy-low here. Today, 9:44 pm
  • Moe Harkless scores 13 points w/ three steals
Moe Harkless quietly had a solid game on Saturday, netting 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting to go with two 3-pointers, three rebounds, three steals and one turnover in 31 minutes.

Advice: Harkless' numbers rarely jump off the page, but his ability to bring a little bit of everything to the box score without hurting you anywhere is what gives him his appeal in fantasy hoops. He was very quiet through the first two games of the season, but maybe he'll be able to get things going after this solid showing. He's worth owning in competitive 12-team leagues. Today, 9:43 pm
  • Mirza Teletovic hits three triples in 17 mins
Mirza Teletovic logged a season-high 17 minutes off the bench on Saturday, tallying nine points, three 3-pointers, two boards, one steal and one block.

Advice: Teletovic doesn't have a consistent role in Milwaukee, and he rarely contributes anything outside of 3-point shooting to the box score, so there's no reason to roster him in most settings. Today, 9:41 pm
  • Khris Middleton scores 18 points on 13 shots
Khris Middleton went 6-of-13 from the field and 6-of-6 from the line during Saturday's win over Portland on his way to 18 points, six boards, three assists and two turnovers in 30 minutes.

Advice: The Bucks really made an effort to get him involved early, and head coach Jason Kidd did a nice job of staggering his minutes alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo to give him more opportunity to run the offense, but foul trouble limited him during the second half. Middleton’s 3-point shot hasn’t been falling through the first three games of the year, but as a career 40.1 percent shooter from distance, this is not a trend we expect to continue. Now would be a good time to try and buy-low on Khris. Today, 9:39 pm
  • Donovan Mitchell continues to shoot poorly
Donovan Mitchell managed just two points with six assists, two rebounds and a steal across 22 minutes in Saturday's home win against Oklahoma City.

Advice: Mitchell was plugged into the starting five with Rodney Hood (calf) resting his injury, but he continues to struggle. He is just 5-of-25 (20.0 percent) from the field while going 0-of-7 from behind the 3-point line through his first three games. He has opportunity right now with Hood sidelined, but he'll need to get it together or Alec Burks might slide ahead of him and steal his thunder. Today, 9:28 pm
  • Wayne Ellington scores eight
Wayne Ellington scored eight points with three rebounds, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in 15 minutes against the Pacers on Saturday.

Advice: Unlike the other positions, Ellington has basically played directly behind Dion Waiters at shooting guard. If Waiters did need to miss time, Ellington could become a specialist for treys. He's not stashing almost anywhere, though. Today, 9:27 pm
  • Lance trending down
Lance Stephenson scored four points with two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 18 minutes against the Heat on Saturday.

Advice: The minutes continue to trend down on Lance. He's a kind of player that will need at least 24 minutes to have value in standard leagues because of his inefficiency, so his owners can put him on the chopping block for the right guy. Today, 9:13 pm
  • Russell Westbrook has off shooting night
Russell Westbrook finished with six points, 13 rebounds, nine assists, two steals and seven turnovers across 36 minutes in a road loss at Utah on Saturday.

Advice: Westbrook and his teammates were bothered by Utah's aggressive and effective defense, and Westbrook managed to go just 2-of-11 from the field. He was held to single digits just twice in the previous two regular seasons. Don't be terribly concerned, as he was facing one of the better defensive clubs in the NBA. Today, 9:10 pm
  • Bismack Biyombo perfect from the line
Bismack Biyombo finished with eight points and five rebounds in 14 minutes off the bench Saturday in Cleveland.

Advice: Biyombo was just 2-of-6 from the field, but he made up for it by going a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe. Despite the good work on free throws his fantasy appeal is limited to the deepest of leagues unless Nikola Vucevic suffers some sort of long-term injury thrusting Biyombo into a starting role. Today, 9:00 pm
  • Watson says Devin Booker (back) will play
Coach Earl Watson said Devin Booker (back, hip) will play against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: He was questionable in the game notes, so Booker had a good chance to play based off that. He played through his injury yesterday and looked fine, so there's little reason to think he will be limited tonight. Today, 6:09 pm
  • Donovan Mitchell starting for Rodney Hood
Donovan Mitchell will start for Rodney Hood against the Jazz on Saturday.

Advice: This will be the rookie second start after Hood had a stomach issue in opener. With Hood possibly missing more games, Mitchell could fine himself getting some extra run and may be asked to score more than usual. This could mean Raul Neto is in the rotation, too. Today, 5:24 pm
  • Boban Marjanovic is active vs. Knicks
Boban Marjanovic is active and Eric Moreland is inactive against the Knicks on Saturday.

Advice: He gets a great matchup here and the Knicks aren't really a strong pick-and-roll team, so maybe Boban gets run as the backup five man. If he does, coach Stan Van Gundy has said he wants him to score with two feet in the paint. Free Boban. Today, 3:46 pm
  • Devin Booker is questionable for Sat
Devin Booker (hip, back) listed as questionable to play against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: This is off the game notes, but it makes sense to see him on the injury report. Brook Lopez fouled Booker on Friday and sent him to the ground. Plus, Booker had treatment on his back in the fourth quarter before he finished the game. If he can't go, Eric Bledsoe would be very busy along with the other wings. Troy Daniels would see minutes while Mike James also benefits, assuming he can play. We do have to warn you one more time that making decisions purely off the game notes is not a wise move. Today, 2:23 pm
  • Devin Booker scores 25 points in loss
Devin Booker scored 25 points during a 132-130 loss to the Lakers on Friday, adding 11 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and four 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

Advice: He also had a really hard fall in the first half and was down for about two minutes. Booker stayed in the game, but he had some treatment on his back in the second half. He did close this game out and looked fine, but this will be something to watch for on Saturday against the Clippers -- the Suns won't shootaround, too. The Suns struggling so much on defense should lead to Booker taking a ton of treys and he was very close to his first triple-double with his added responsibilities, so his upside is sky high on a given night. Yesterday, 11:48 pm
  • Skal Labissiere plays just 13 minutes
Skal Labissiere played just 13 minutes vs. Dallas on Friday, but he was productive with eight points, five rebounds and a block.

Advice: Zach Randolph (oral surgery) was back in the starting lineup and played 30 minutes, but this will likely be closer to a timeshare moving forward. With the Kings tanking, treat Labissiere as more of a stash for now. Yesterday, 8:42 pm
  • Jusuf Nurkic scores 11 points again
Jusuf Nurkic scored 11 points with two rebounds, three assists, one block, one steal and six turnovers in 26 minutes against the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: He was just 4-of-13 from the field and is off to a somewhat slow start. Nurkic's biggest issue has been his 11 turnovers in his two games while the blocks and boards are not up to par. He's still getting decent usage with a 33.0 usage rate, so the role is clearly there for him to produce. He'll get it going soon. Yesterday, 8:21 pm
  • Donovan Mitchell plays 20 minutes off bench
Donovan Mitchell hit just 1-of-7 field goal attempts to finish with two points, two assists and two blocked shots in 20 minutes Friday against the Timberwolves.

Advice: Mitchell was back to the bench after being a surprise starter for Rodney Hood on Wednesday, but he was pressed into action with Hood going down to a calf injury. It's uncertain if Hood will need to miss additional time. If Hood ends up on the shelf Mitchell and Alec Burks would stand to see a bump in minutes. Yesterday, 8:15 pm
  • Kris Middleton struggles from the floor
Kris Middleton hit just 3-of-10 shots vs. the Cavs on Friday, while misfiring on all five of his attempts beyond the arc.

Advice: Middleton finished with just eight points, but he salvaged the stat line for fantasy owners with five assists and three rebounds. He is off to a slow start from the field through two games (33.3 percent), but there is no need to worry. He has consistently been in the 44-45 percent neighborhood throughout his career. Yesterday, 7:32 pm
  • Lance Stephenson struggles vs. Blazers
Lance Stephenson made 1-of-5 from the field for four points with two rebounds, two assists and no turnovers in 20 minutes against the Blazers on Friday.

Advice: He fired away with 19 shots against the Nets on Wednesday, but coach Nate McMillan reined him in for this game. Stephenson is still going to be a primary ball handler for the second unit and the Pacers need him to play over 23 minutes when garbage time isn't a factor, so he's a decent guy to own in standard leagues. Yesterday, 6:44 pm
  • Boban Marjanovic inactive for Friday night
Boban Marjanovic is inactive for Friday against the Wizards.

Advice: Two weeks ago, it seemed coach Stan Van Gundy liked Boban more than Diet Pepsi, but his love for him fizzled out like, umm, you know. SVG is going to take a by committee approach behind Andre Drummond, so for now it looks like Eric Moreland is the No. 2 center with Jon Leuer mixed in there. While this could change, Boban is obviously a drop in most leagues now. Yesterday, 2:46 pm
  • Russell Westbrook triple-doubles in win
Russell Westbrook triple-doubled during a 105-84 win over the Knicks on Thursday, making 7-of-12 from the field for 21 points, 10 rebounds, 16 assists, one block and seven turnovers in 33 minutes.

Advice: He had some help and his NBA all-time record 40.8 usage rate from 2016-17 plummeted to 27.8 today. Although, his efficiency was outstanding and the OKC offense was flying at a 107.5 pace. Also unlike last year, he had help almost the entire time with either Carmelo Anthony or Paul George next to him for 32 of his 33 minutes, and was with both for 19. Westbrook won't be blowing us away in the scoring department like late last year, but he's still going to post some big lines for his fantasy owners. Thursday, 9:57 pm
  • SVG didn't have a game plan regarding Boban
Coach Stan Van Gundy said he didn't go into Wednesday's game with a plan on using Eric Moreland over Boban Marjanovic.

Advice: In case you missed it, Boban was a DNP-CD against the Hornets while Moreland logged 12 minutes. Maybe it was because Dwight Howard played well against Boban in the preseason or maybe it's because SVG was scared to use him in pick-and-roll sets. For what it's worth, Kemba Walker leads all NBA players in pick-and-roll possessions including passes (Synergy), so clearly the Hornets were leaning on that play. Whatever the case, this is a big blow to Boban supporters and he'll be dropped all over the place with another DNP-CD on Friday. Thursday, 1:36 pm
  • Skal Labissiere double-doubles w/ Z-Bo out
Skal Labissiere started on Wednesday in place of Zach Randolph (oral surgery), posting 12 points, 10 rebounds, one assist and five turnovers in 33 minutes.

Advice: It wasn't an easy assignment for Skal, as the Rockets run with small lineups and a perimeter specialist at PF in Ryan Anderson. He held his own, though, while displaying some nifty skills on offense (see the link below). Z-Bo is day-to-day, but owners should file Skal's double-double in the 'potential/upside' folder for future reference. Thursday, 12:32 am
  • Moe Harkless has so-so start vs. PHX
Moe Harkless scored eight points with five rebounds, two assists and one block in 26 minutes against the Suns on Wednesday.

Advice: He played 16 of his minutes with the first unit tonight. Al-Farouq Aminu did not slide over to the three at all in this game, so Harkless is probably going to wind up splitting minutes at the three with Evan Turner -- Turner started at the two and Harkless also didn't play in the fourth. Harkless should still have no problem getting to around 27-30 minutes, so he's worth a long look in standard leagues. Thursday, 12:13 am
  • Jusuf Nurkic scores 11 points in win
Jusuf Nurkic scored 11 points with 11 rebounds, one assist and one steal in 23 minutes against the Suns on Wednesday.

Advice: He did take a 3-pointer and he made 7-of-10 from the line. Nurkic ditched the mask and he also didn't need to play at all in the fourth quarter, so he likely is looking at over 30 minutes most nights. Based on how he's in better shape, he could be in for a big line against the Pacers on Friday. Thursday, 12:07 am
  • Devin Booker dealt with cramps
Devin Booker dealt with cramps on Wednesday and did not return, finishing with 12 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and no turnovers in 27 minutes.

Advice: He had the training staff look at his lower legs at least a couple times in this game, and the Suns eventually pulled the plug when they were down about 50 in the second half. Booker didn't sound concerned about it after the game and talked more about the bad loss, saying it felt like five losses. For now, he's fully expected to play against the Lakers on Friday. Wednesday, 11:41 pm
  • Donovan Mitchell starts, plays 26 minutes Wed
Donovan Mitchell was a surprise starter in place of Rodney Hood (illness) on Wednesday, putting up 10 points, four assists, one rebound and one block during 26 minutes in his NBA debut.

Advice: Quin Snyder loves Mitchell's defense and said he wants the rookie to develop his own identity as a guard, which bodes well. As for the starting job, that appears to have been a temporary situation because Hood was sick before the game -- Mitchell should be coming off the bench in Minnesota on Friday. Wednesday, 11:11 pm
  • Will Barton scores team-high 23 points vs UTA
Will Barton scored a team-high 23 points off the bench in Wednesday's opener, making 8-of-14 FGs with three 3-pointers, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.

Advice: Barton also went 4-of-4 at the line during 31 minutes of action, and he was one of the few bright spots for Denver during their opening-night defeat. He tends to get lost in the mix for fantasy purposes, but there are plenty of reasons to like him -- he's entering his prime, he has demonstrated top-100 value in category leagues (2015-16), and he's playing for a massive payday in the final year of his contract. Wednesday, 11:03 pm
  • Nikola Jokic gets 12/8/7 in uneven line Wed
Nikola Jokic grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out eight assists on Wednesday, but he scored just seven points on 3-of-10 shooting without any defensive stats.

Advice: It was a mixed start to the season for Jokic, who also hit one 3-pointer with four turnovers and zero free throw attempts. Rudy Gobert tends to have a chilling effect on opposing centers, of course, and we're expecting a better outing vs. Willie Cauley-Stein and the Kings on Saturday. Wednesday, 11:01 pm
  • Boban Marjanovic gets DNP-CD in opener
Boban Marjanovic was a DNP-CD vs. the Hornets on Wednesday.

Advice: This is even more disappointing since Andre Drummond was in foul trouble. Jon Leuer got backup-center minutes and coach Stan Van Gundy opted for smaller lineups to counter Charlotte -- the Pistons won the game, which doesn't help Marjanovic's case. He's a per-minute monster but SVG said the backup job will be "by-committee," which will cause owners migraines. Wednesday, 9:22 pm
  • Khris Middleton scores 15 in 43 minutes
Khris Middleton scored 15 points with nine rebounds, six assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 43 minutes against the Celtics on Wednesday.

Advice: Unlike last year when he started the season rehabbing a torn hamstring, Middleton is clearly healthy. He's expected to handle the ball more and he's shot will fall more often than it did tonight -- he was 6-of-17 from the field. He won't get the attention Giannis Antetokounmpo, but Middleton should be viewed as an early-round asset. Wednesday, 9:02 pm
  • Lance Stephenson takes 19 shots in 24 minutes
Lance Stephenson launched 19 shots in 24 minutes on Wednesday, making six of them to finish with 16 points, three assists, one rebound, one steal and one block.

Advice: Lance was ice-cold to begin the game, but of course he didn't let that impact his usage rate. He made two 3-pointers tonight and could carve out low-end value, but as usual he's much more appealing in points leagues. Wednesday, 8:16 pm
  • Donovan Mitchell starts over Rodney Hood
Donovan Mitchell started over Rodney Hood against the Nuggets on Wednesday.

Advice: It looks like it was just because Hood had to go to the locker room as the game started, so this move may not stick. We'll let you know how both guys do regardless. Wednesday, 6:16 pm
  • Donovan Mitchell expected to get PG minutes
Donovan Mitchell is expected to see "plenty of point guard minutes" against the Nuggets on Wednesday, according to Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune.

Advice: With Raul Neto (hamstring) out tonight and Dante Exum (shoulder) out indefinitely, the Jazz will need someone to fill 13-16 minutes at point guard behind Ricky Rubio. Mitchell has taken a lot of pride in becoming a point guard, and it sounds like the Jazz coaching staff has faith in him along with his teammates like Joe Ingles. " I haven't seen too many rookies as physically and mentally prepared to play as Donovan," Ingles said. Mitchell should be owned in most 12-team leagues. Wednesday, 11:27 am
  • Will Barton (ankle) says he'll play in opener
Will Barton (right ankle) said he's "fine" and that he will not have any minutes restrictions in Wednesday's season opener against Utah.

Advice: Barton suffered what appeared to be a severe ankle sprain at the end of Monday's practice, but head coach Mike Malone confirmed that he's been cleared to play, so it looks like he's dodged a bullet and owners can plan on having him take the floor for opening night. He looked great during the preseason, so it'll be interesting to see if he can carry that momentum into the regular season. Tuesday, 11:54 am
  • DET will take committee approach in backup C
Stan Van Gundy said the backup center position in Detroit will be a "by-committee thing" this season.

Advice: It doesn't sound like Boban Marjanovic will be an active part of the rotation every night in Detroit, and Rod Beard of The Detroit News is suggesting that Marjanovic's minutes will likely be in the 10-12 minute range when he does play. Boban needs closer to 20 minutes a night to make a meaningful impact in 12-team leagues, so this "by-committee thing" isn't great news for his fantasy outlook. Monday, 3:14 pm
  • Will Barton injures right ankle at practice
Will Barton suffered an apparent right ankle injury during Monday's practice, and he should be considered doubtful for Wednesday's season opener against Utah.

Advice: Barton was in considerable pain after suffering the injury and needed to be helped off the court, as he wasn't able to put much pressure at all on his injured appendage. Mike Malone speculated that it was an ankle injury, but we'll wait for an official diagnosis from Denver's medical staff. Barton dealt with a lot of left ankle issues in the past, so unfortunately, this injury would be to his good ankle. If he's forced to miss time, that could open up some minutes for Juan Hernangomez. Monday, 12:12 pm
  • Jusuf Nurkic, Blazers won't reach extension
The Trail Blazers and Jusuf Nurkic will not agree on a contract extension prior to Monday's deadline, according to the Oregonian's Mike Richman.

Advice: Portland reportedly views Nurkic as a long-term building block and he feels the same, saying, "I want to be here, and I'll let my agent handle the other things." That said, the team wants a larger on-court sample size before making a huge financial commitment -- he played just 20 games for the Blazers last year before a fractured fibula shut him down. The lack of an extension could give him extra motivation, and he's a very nice target once the elite centers are gone. Sunday, 10:21 am
  • Nurk returns, scores 13 points
Jusuf Nurkic scored 13 points with eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 12 minutes against Haifa Maccabi on Friday.

Advice: The Blazers rested almost all of their key players, so Nurk Fever was in full effect for his 12 minutes. There's no doubt he'll be a monster on the stat sheet when he's active and his jumper looks great, but the list of injuries makes him tough to target in the early rounds. He's worth it around 50-60 or so, though. Friday, 10:05 pm
  • Devin Booker scores 31 points on Friday
Devin Booker scored 31 points against the Brisbane Bullets on Friday with five rebounds, six assists and five 3-pointers in 30 minutes.

Advice: This pretty much sums up Booker from a stat standpoint. He'll hang 30 on anyone, but he won't bring any defensive stats. Booker is going to handle the ball even more this year and he could even get to 25 points per game, so he will have value in points leagues. In standard leagues, he likely will be overdrafted. Friday, 10:01 pm
  • Ellington scores eight points
Wayne Ellington scored eight points with one assist and one 3-pointer in 15 minutes on Friday.

Advice: He will be in the rotation and most of his minutes should come as the backup to Josh Richardson and Dion Waiters. The Heat have more depth this year, so Ellington isn't expected to do much while the team is healthy. Friday, 9:16 pm
  • Skal Labissiere struggles again vs. Clippers
Skal Labissiere made 1-of-6 from the field and 5-of-8 from the line for seven points with three rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block, four fouls and three turnovers in 23 minutes.

Advice: He's had two really bad preseason games with two solid ones mixed in, as well. That coincides with how Labissiere performed last year with some monster games, but he's had some horrible misses when he's off -- he had a handful of shots that were not close tonight. Skal is worth a look late in drafts, but it likely won't be smooth sailing night in and night out. Thursday, 9:52 pm
  • Jusuf Nurkic not on injury report for Friday
Jusuf Nurkic (head) is not on the injury report for Friday night against Haifa.

Advice: That's great news for Nurk Alert, but the Blazers may still choose to hold him out of the preseason finale. He suffered a concussion on Monday and did not play on Wednesday. His style of play could lead to more injuries, but maybe Nurkic taking more jumpers can help him avoid contact He'll be a risk-reward target in the early middle rounds. Thursday, 4:24 pm
  • Booker (knee), Warren (back) out Wednesday
Devin Booker (right knee) and T.J. Warren (back) will not play vs. the Blazers on Wednesday.

Advice: Booker banged his knee during Monday's game and he sat out Tuesday's practice as a result. The team is calling it a contusion/hyperextension, and we're forced to consider him questionable for the Suns' season opener on Wednesday, Oct. 18. He has a full week to recover before then, thankfully, and we should have multiple updates in the coming days. Wednesday, 6:16 pm
  • Donovan Mitchell torches Lakers for 26
Donovan Mitchell overcame a thumb injury and hit 10-of-20 shots and two 3-pointers for 26 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal in 33 minutes off the bench on Tuesday.

Advice: Mitchell looked like a beast tonight and it's important to note that Rodney Hood left with a neck injury and Raul Neto, the backup point guard, didn't play in this one. Mitchell may have carved out a real role with his performance tonight and he's at least worth a look at the end of standard drafts. It's possible that he could steal the backup point guard job from Neto, and if Hood's injury causes him to miss games, Mitchell's stock will just keep rising. Tuesday, 10:20 pm
  • Will Barton goes off for 26 points vs. OKC
Will Barton was feeling it against the Thunder on Tuesday, dropping 26 points in 30 minutes of action.

Advice: Denver's sixth man finished 9-of-18 from the field, 4-of-5 from the line and 4-of-6 from beyond the arc, adding five rebounds, three assists, three steals, one block and two turnovers. He has been talking with the Nuggets about a contract extension and the deadline is opening night, so adding this game to his resume can't hurt. He's a fine late-round option after posting 13.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.5 blocks and 1.5 3-pointers last season. Tuesday, 9:08 pm
  • Nikola Jokic scores 12 in loss
Nikola Jokic scored 12 points with 11 rebounds, three assists and three turnovers vs. the Thunder on Tuesday.

Advice: Maybe a bit of fatigue is setting in after a long couple weeks, as Jokic hit just 5-of-16 from the field and 2-of-4 from the line. He normally has stellar shooting percentages, so his fantasy owners have nothing to worry about. He's one of our favorite targets at the end of the first round of 9-category leagues. Tuesday, 9:03 pm
