  • Alec Burks contributes 26 points in Game 7 loss
    Alec Burks shot 8-of-13 from the field and 8-of-8 from the foul line in Sunday’s 130-109 loss to the Pacers, amassing 26 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes.

    Advice: After not playing at all in the first seven games of the postseason, Burks moved into the Knicks rotation out of necessity. And the veteran guard was productive, reaching double figures in his last five games. Sunday’s performance was Burks’ best: he shot nearly 62% from the field and scored 26 points. That’s an excellent way to head into free agency this summer. Burks’ days of being a must-roster player in fantasy leagues may be finished, but he still has something left in the tank.   • Josh Hart plays 37 MIN despite abdominal strain
    Josh Hart shot 3-of-9 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line in Sunday’s 130-109 loss to the Pacers, tallying 10 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 37 minutes.

    Advice: Despite suffering a strained abdominal muscle during Game 6, Hart was on the court for Game 7. Give him credit for gutting out 37 minutes before fouling out, but he wasn’t himself physically. Hart still contributed 10 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, but it wasn’t enough to help the Knicks erase an early deficit. Hart was expected to provide late-round fantasy value this season, and that’s precisely what he did. However, he was a 6th-round player in 9-cat formats after the trade deadline. Hart’s fantasy ceiling in 2024-25 will depend on what the Knicks do with the rest of the roster, as OG Anunoby can become a free agent, and Julius Randle (shoulder) will be healthy.   • Donte DiVincenzo scores 39 in Game 7 defeat
    Donte DiVincenzo shot 11-of-21 from the field and 8-of-10 from the foul line in Sunday’s 130-109 loss to the Pacers, scoring 39 points with four rebounds, one assist, two steals, and nine 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

    Advice: As the Knicks continued to lose players, DiVincenzo kept firing away. He was outstanding in Game 7, shooting over 50% from the field and scoring 39 points. While DiVincenzo had a few games this postseason in which he struggled, the overall play was excellent. His 2023-24 season was better than anyone imagined, with DiVincenzo progressing from valued reserve to fixture in the Knicks starting lineup. He provided 3rd-round fantasy value after the trade deadline and finished the season just outside the top 60 in 9-cat formats. Expecting that level of production from DiVincenzo in 2024-25 would be a bit much, especially with a healthy Knicks roster. However, he’ll be worth selecting just inside the top 100.   • Unlikely to return Sunday
    Anunoby (hamstring) won't return to Sunday's Game 7 against the Pacers, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.

    Advice: Smith and ESPN's broadcast said Anunoby, who started in his return from a four-game absence and scored five points in five minutes before exiting, won't return Sunday. However, Fred Katz of The Athletic relays that the Knicks haven't officially ruled Anunoby out yet. Miles McBride started the second half in place of Anunoby. Rotowire.com May 19, 2:12 pm

    McBride won't start Sunday's Game 7 against the Pacers, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports.

    Advice: With OG Anunoby (hamstring) returning from a four-game absence and Josh Hart playing through an abdomen injury he suffered in Game 6, McBride will shift to his usual reserve role.   • Cason Wallace logs 24 minutes in Game 6 loss
    Cason Wallace shot 2-of-8 from the field in Saturday’s 117-116 loss to the Thunder, scoring five points with one assist, one steal, one block, and one 3-pointer in 24 minutes.

    Advice: Wallace didn’t offer much production in Game 6, but Josh Giddey’s struggles led to the rookie figuring more prominently in the Thunder rotation this series. The first-round pick averaged 21.5 minutes per game against Dallas, four more than his average against the Pelicans in the first round. Wallace wasn’t worth selecting in most redraft leagues before this season, but that could change in 2024-25. That will depend on what happens with Giddey, who is eligible for a rookie extension this summer. Does Oklahoma City extend him, or do they attempt to use Giddey to strengthen the roster (especially the frontcourt)? If Sam Presti decides to make a move, Wallace is one player who could benefit.   • Goes down swinging
    Gilgeous-Alexander ended Saturday's 117-116 loss to Dallas in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals with 36 points (14-25 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 4-7 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and two blocks across 43 minutes.

    Advice: Gilgeous-Alexander did everything he could to get the Thunder over the line Saturday, pouring in a game-high 36 points. While he ultimately fell short of his goal, enough can't be said about how good he was this season. The Thunder are just starting their journey, and with so many draft picks to work with, there is an opportunity for them to improve their roster sooner rather than later. Despite the disappointing playoff exit, Gilgeous-Alexander is poised to continue his ascension and will likely be in the MVP discussion again next season. Rotowire.com May 18, 9:01 pm

    Advice: Giddey played just 10 minutes in the loss, ending what has been a disappointing season for the young Australian. Having started the majority of the season, he was moved to the bench in recent games.   • Luguentz Dort records 11/3/1/3 line in Game 6 loss
    Luguentz Dort shot 3-of-10 from the field and 3-of-3 from the foul line in Saturday’s 117-116 loss to the Mavericks, amassing 11 points, three rebounds, one assist, three steals, and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

    Advice: After shooting 52.2% from three in Oklahoma City’s first-round sweep of New Orleans, Dort reverted to form against the Mavericks. He shot 31.7% from distance against Dallas, averaging 6.8 attempts per game. Dort was slightly worse from the field overall, shooting 31.1% while averaging 10.5 points per game. Providing offense after defending Luka Doncic certainly isn’t easy, but Oklahoma City will need continued growth from Dort as they look to contend in the West.
