  • Scores 26 in Game 3 loss
    Edwards closed Sunday's 116-107 loss to Dallas in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals with 26 points (11-24 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-6 FT), nine rebounds, nine assists and two steals across 43 minutes.

    Advice: Edwards looked more aggressive than in the first two games of the series, but the star guard continues to struggle with his shot, even though he showed some encouraging signs in this one.   • Mike Conley hits four 3-pointers, scores 16 points
    Mike Conley amassed 16 points (6-of-11 FGs), one rebound, four assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 31 minutes in Sunday’s Game 3 loss to the Mavericks.

    Advice: Due to a strained soleus muscle, Conley is playing at less than full strength. However, give the veteran point guard credit for pushing through the injury, as he had another efficient performance in Game 3. The issue is that the Timberwolves don’t have a good matchup for Conley on the defensive end of the floor. The calf injury keeps him from being effective in guarding Luka Doncic or Kyrie Irving, and forwards Derrick Jones Jr. and PJ Washington are too big. Nickeil Alexander-Walker (3/2/3 with one 3-pointer in 20 minutes) and Kyle Anderson (10 points, three assists, and two blocks in 17 minutes) may have to do a little more in Game 4 on Tuesday, but it won’t matter if the Timberwolves don’t get better play from Karl-Anthony Towns.   • Ben Sheppard fails to score in spot start Saturday
    Ben Sheppard missed all four of his shot attempts in Saturday’s Game 3 loss to the Celtics, going scoreless with three rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 26 minutes.

    Advice: Sheppard was tabbed to fill the void left by Tyrese Haliburton, who sat with a left hamstring injury. The rookie guard didn’t provide much value in Game 3, as he was 0-of-3 from deep and failed to score. Sheppard might remain in the starting lineup for Monday’s Game 4, depending on what happens with Haliburton.   • Lonzo Ball (knee) plans to play in season opener
    Lonzo Ball (left knee surgery) said on his podcast that he plans to play in Chicago’s season opener in October.

    Advice: Ball hasn’t played in over two years, but as of now, he is planning to play this upcoming season. That is a long way away, so a lot could change over the next five months, but he appears to be optimistic. He also explained on his podcast that he had to get a new meniscus from a donor as part of his recovery, which is concerning for his long-term health.   • Records eight points off bench
    Pritchard logged eight points (3-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt) and two assists over 23 minutes during Tuesday's 133-128 overtime win over the Pacers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

    Advice: The Celtics are using a very tight eight-man rotation right now, but Pritchard is pretty clearly the sixth man for the foreseeable future. He's been excellent through 11 playoff appearances, averaging 7.8 points, 2.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds while hitting 47.0 percent from the field and 44.7 percent from beyond the arc.   • Undergoes surgery on wrist
    Bogdanovic underwent surgery on his left wrist Wednesday and will be re-evaluated in 6-to-8 weeks.

    Advice: It was previously reported that Bogdanovic would undergo surgeries on both his left wrist and his left foot, but there's no clarity on when he will undergo the foot procedure. Bogdanovic made only 29 appearances for the Knicks after being traded to New York at the deadline, posting averages of 10.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.6 three-pointers.   • Undergoes left hand surgery
    Brunson underwent successful surgery for his left hand fracture Wednesday and will be re-evaluated in 6-to-8 weeks.

    Advice: Brunson picked up the fracture in Sunday's Game 7 loss against the Pacers, but with this timeframe, his status for training camp isn't likely to be in jeopardy. Brunson took his game to another level during the 2023-24 campaign, posting regular-season averages of 28.7 points, 6.7 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 2.7 three-pointers.     Advice: Caldwell-Pope scored single digits for the sixth time in the past eight games, highlighting the Nuggets' struggles when it comes to depth on the offensive end. While he continues to play a key role for Denver, his lack of production cannot be ignored when it comes to fantasy value.     Advice: Murray did everything he could to get the Nuggets over the line but ultimately came up short. He and Nikola Jokic scored 69 of the Nuggets' 90 points, highlighting just how unimpactful their bench was. While it was a disappointing end for Murray, his production this year aligned with what fantasy managers expected coming into the season.
