    Hyland contributed 11 points (3-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound and three assists over seven minutes during Wednesday's 123-93 loss to the Mavericks in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

  • Dominates in Game 5 victory
    Doncic notched 35 points (14-26 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), seven rebounds, 10 assists and one steal in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 123-93 win over the Clippers in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

    Advice: Doncic was a man of his word, providing Kyrie Irving with more help on the offensive end, leading all scorers with 35 points. The victory puts Dallas within one win of victory, leaving the Clippers on the brink of another underwhelming playoff campaign.   • Kyrie Irving limited to 14 points in Game 5 win
    Kyrie Irving finished Wednesday’s 123-93 win over the Clippers with 14 points (6-of-14 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), four rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

    Advice: Irving caught fire in Sunday’s Game 4 defeat, shooting 14-of-25 from the field and 6-of-12 from beyond the arc. He cooled off considerably in Game 5, specifically from three (1-of-7), but still managed to shoot 5-of-7 from two. Luka Doncic snapped out of his self-proclaimed funk, and other Mavericks stepped up as they handed the Clippers their worst postseason defeat in franchise history.   • Able to return after stitches
    Wright went to the locker room in the first quarter of Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics after taking an elbow to the face. However, he'll be available to return after receiving stitches, the Heat announced.

    Advice: Wright was elbowed in the chin as Jaylen Brown went up for a shot and ended up going back to the locker room after the play. He'll have stitches put on the inside of his lower lip/chin and will then return to the contest. Patty Mills and Duncan Robinson should see more minutes while Wright is absent.     Advice: Suggs wasn't able to generate much on the offensive end, and he has the unenviable task of trying to slow Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell in this series.     Advice: The Knicks are rolling with a tight seven-man rotation lately, and McBride has locked himself in as the sixth man with his strong play off the bench.     Maxey amassed 46 points (17-30 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 5-8 FT), five rebounds and nine assists in 52 minutes during Tuesday's 112-106 overtime victory over the Knicks in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

    Advice: Joel Embiid clearly wasn't 100 percent, so Maxey stepped up in a big way for the 76ers. He used his quickness to get whatever look he wanted on the court, and he hit a three-pointer near halfcourt to send this game to overtime.   • Darius Garland scores 17 points in first quarter
    Darius Garland lit up the Magic with 23 points (9-of-16 FGs), five rebounds, five assists and three triples on Tuesday.

    Advice: Garland got off to a scorching hot start in this game and scored 17 points in the first quarter to help the Cavs jump out to a 33-23 lead. Unfortunately, he didn’t do much scoring after that. This has been a poor series for Garland, so it was encouraging to see him get off to a strong start, and he ended up having his highest-scoring game of the series.   • Donovan Mitchell leads Cavs with 28 points in win
    Donovan Mitchell led Cleveland with 28 points (9-of-23 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), six rebounds, two assists, two steals and one triple in a 104-103 win over the Magic in Game 5 on Tuesday.

    Advice: After two poor performances in Orlando, Mitchell vowed to play better moving forward. He did just that, and while he didn’t have his best shooting night, he was able to lead the team in scoring and ice the game with two a pair of late free throws. They’ll have a chance to close out the series in Orlando in Game 6 on Friday, but Mitchell will have to be much better than he was in Games 3 and 4.
