  • Denzel Valentine scores 18 points in start
Denzel Valentine started on Friday vs. the Hornets and scored a season-high 18 points with six assists, five rebounds, one block and four 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Advice: Yeah, there's a good chance Valentine sticks in the first unit. The second-year wing hit 7-of-15 shots and was running the offense quite a bit, helping the Bulls record their third win of the season. Valentine could take a hit when Zach LaVine (knee) returns, but that's not until mid-December and the Bulls need offensive weapons right now. With an awesome matchup coming up against the Suns on Sunday, Valentine is on the radar as a pickup. Yesterday, 8:56 pm
  • Danny Green hits five triples in home win
Danny Green ended up with 17 points, six rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocked shots across 35 minutes in Friday's 104-101 win against the Thunder.

Advice: Green hit 5-of-13 from behind the arc, and he has posted eight 3-pointers over his past two outings. He hasn't hit double digits in points in three consecutive outings at any point this season, but he'll look to change that in Monday's visit from the Hawks. He continues to help fantasy owners in the 3-pointers category, as well as steals and blocked shots. Yesterday, 8:55 pm
  • Justin Holiday scores 27 in win over CHA
Justin Holiday scored a season-high 27 points in Friday's 123-120 win over the Hornets, hitting 10-of-15 shots and 3-of-3 free throws.

Advice: He was returning from a one-game absence for personal reasons and finished two points shy of his career-high. Holiday nailed four triples in the win, adding three rebounds, three steals and one block in 36 minutes, Zach LaVine (knee) isn't expected back until mid-December, so there are more good times ahead for Holiday's owners. Yesterday, 8:47 pm
  • Caris LeVert scores 10 in 22 minutes
Caris LeVert scored 10 points with four rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in 22 minutes against the Jazz on Friday.

Advice: He's likely looking at minutes at the point and he saw some today. LeVert is also going to be the best perimeter scorer in the second unit with nobody else really capable of making plays, so he's likely to trend up in a hurry. He still hasn't quite been able to string games together, but his opportunity is as great as almost any bench player. Yesterday, 8:46 pm
  • Treveon Graham (thigh) does not play
Treveon Graham (thigh) was a DNP-CD on Friday vs. the Hornets.

Advice: He was available to play, but he's not going to be in the rotation consistently with Nicolas Batum back. Yesterday, 8:37 pm
  • Nicolas Batum scores nine points in loss
Nicolas Batum scored just nine points on 3-of-7 shooting in 27 minutes vs. the Bulls on Friday.

Advice: Coach Steve Clifford did say there would be nights in which Batum would play less while they get him up to speed, and keep in mind that this is the front end of back-to-back set. He added three rebounds and three assists, and hopefully this low workload means he'll be ready to roll on Saturday vs. the Clippers. The Hornets have lost six straight, so we'd expect him to play. Yesterday, 8:27 pm
  • Rodney Hood scores 17 points in start
Rodney Hood scored 17 points in a start with one rebound, two assists and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes against the Nets on Friday.

Advice: He is on an absolute roll as a scorer with at least 16 points in each of his last six games. He got the start in this game because of Donovan Mitchell starting at the point, and those two played well off each other in this game. Hood is clearly going to get to shoot the rock whether he's coming off the bench or in the starting lineup. We'll see how he fared in a back-to-back against the Magic. Yesterday, 8:26 pm
  • Michael Kidd-Gilchrist tweaks ankle in loss
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist tweaked his ankle in Friday's loss to the Bulls, finishing with nine points, four rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes.

Advice: He was 3-of-6 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line, and his ankle injury isn't a huge concern because he was able to return after getting it re-taped. Barring a surprise, MKG should be fine for Saturday's game vs. the Clippers, so keep him active for his rebounds and defensive stats. Yesterday, 8:22 pm
  • Justise Winslow gets pulled early, rebounds
Justise Winslow scored 10 points with seven rebounds, one assist, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 18 minutes against the Wizards on Friday.

Advice: It looked like he was in for a brutal game after coach Erik Spoelstra gave Winslow a quick hook after two mistakes on defense. After that, Winslow was much better and was able to produce better than expected. While the Heat starting lineup with Winslow is smashing, Winslow just doesn't offer enough upside to own in most leagues. Yesterday, 7:43 pm
  • Josh Richardson struggles with his shot again
Josh Richardson made 1-of-10 from the field for three points with two rebounds, two assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes against the Wizards on Friday.

Advice: Yes, this shooting line is brutal and he's been ice cold for almost every game. However, Richardson was outstanding on defense tonight and he's the best perimeter defender on the team, so he's not going to be losing minutes. We've seen him get really hot before and it feels like it's just a matter of time before his shot starts to drop. He still has plenty of pep in his step, so it should click sooner rather than later. Yesterday, 7:41 pm
  • Wes Johnson efficient in Friday's road loss
Wes Johnson hit 6-of-10 from the floor in Friday's overtime loss in Cleveland, scoring 15 points with seven rebounds.

Advice: Johnson also chipped in with four blocked shots, four assists and three steals while knocking down three triples, as he gave fantasy owners a little something across the board. He entered the game with just four blocks over his past nine contests, and his double-digit point total was just the second of the season, so those were probably the biggest surprises of the night. Yesterday, 7:33 pm
  • Courtney Lee hits 1-of-9 shots in loss
Courtney Lee hit just 1-of-9 shots for three points, six rebounds, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes vs. the Raptors on Friday.

Advice: He described himself as "a little sore" after taking a shot to the upper leg in his previous game, so maybe that's to blame for his poor shooting. However, Lee salvaged his fantasy line with some nice supporting stats and will continue to be a nice low-end value for his steals and triples. Yesterday, 7:17 pm
  • X-rays negative on Tim Hardaway Jr.'s foot
X-rays taken on Tim Hardaway Jr.'s left foot came back negative.

Advice: The Knicks are calling his injury a sore left foot for now, but it's a little concerning that he needed X-rays. THJ checked out of this game for good with three minutes to go in the fourth, but it was garbage time at that point and it's a good sign that he was playing through it. We'll put him on the injury report until we get an update at Saturday's practice. He finished with 13 points (5-of-11 FGs), five rebounds, one assist, three steals and three triples in 33 minutes. If THJ does end up missing time, we might get an extended look at rookie Damyean Dotson. Yesterday, 7:07 pm
  • Stanley Johnson scores three points
Stanley Johnson scored three points with one rebound, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes against the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: He hasn't really been very good all season and Luke Kennard is kind of coming along faster than expected. Johnson is going to be a low-end player to own in deep leagues with a few blips on the radars for standard leagues. Yesterday, 6:30 pm
  • Thabo Sefolosha (knee soreness) out Friday
Thabo Sefolosha (right knee soreness) will not play on Friday vs. the Nets.

Advice: The Jazz play again on Saturday vs. Orlando, so hopefully they are just resting him for that one. With Sefolosha out, Jonas Jerebko is looking at extended minutes and is worth a look if you need 3-pointers -- he's hit three triples in each of his last two games. Yesterday, 3:54 pm
  • Justin Anderson (shin splints) out 3 weeks
Justin Anderson (shin splints) is expected to miss about three weeks.

Advice: Even though he was questionable on Wednesday for a shin issue, he played eight minutes in a win. Chances are that playing time set him back and he he dealt with discomfort following that one. The best treatment for shin splints is rest, so hopefully the time off will help him recover. We should see a few more minutes for Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and he could be worth a look in deep leagues. Yesterday, 2:58 pm
  • Norman Powell (hip) ruled out on Friday
Norman Powell (hip) has been ruled out for Friday against the Knicks.

Advice: That means OG Anunoby will be in the starting lineup again and he should be playing around 30 minutes. Plus, the Raptors are really going to have to lean on Fred VanVleet today and should use a lot of two-PG lineups -- they used FVV next to Lowry for 13 minutes on Wednesday. Powell is actually a decent stash now because Delon Wright (shoulder) was taking his fourth-quarter minutes. Yesterday, 2:53 pm
  • Luke Babbitt, Mike Muscala are questionable
Luke Babbitt (back) and Mike Muscala (ankle) are questionable for Saturday's game against the Celtics.

Advice: Babbitt suffered back spasms on Wednesday and did not return. It's also worth a mention he did have back spasms in March, so perhaps the Hawks are extra careful with him. If he's out, the Hawks may wind up shifting Taurean Prince over to the four to allow DeAndre Bembry to play in his return. Tyler Cavanaugh could also be in the rotation after he started the second half on Wednesday. Yesterday, 1:50 pm
  • Will Barton back to bench on Friday
With Gary Harris (shoulder) returning to the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Pelicans, Will Barton will head back to the bench.

Advice: Barton started in place of Harris in each of Denver's last two games, but has been very productive off the bench this season as well. Barton is averaging 14.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 28.5 minutes over 12 games as a reserve. Despite the return of Harris, Barton should be owned in all leagues. Yesterday, 10:44 am
  • Gary Harris (shoulder) will play Friday
Gary Harris (right shoulder soreness) will play Friday vs. the Pelicans.

Advice: Harris missed two straight games, but practiced in full on Wednesday and has been trending in the right direction since. Harris has yet to take the step forward that many predicted he would coming into this season but we'll see if bounces back following this short respite. Will Barton, Jamal Murray and Emmanuel Mudiay will see their minutes scaled back with Harris returning to the lineup. Yesterday, 10:31 am
