      Bam Adebayo played 36 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Celtics, accounting for 23 points (10-of-26 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer.

      Advice: For the second straight game, Adebayo hit a 3-pointer. As was the case in Game 4, it did not matter, as the Heat were eliminated from the playoffs in blowout fashion. Bam led the team in points and assists but was inefficient as a scorer. Given how shorthanded Miami was, they needed a near-perfect game from the available players to have a shot. That didn’t happen, so attention now turns to the offseason. Adebayo entered the season with a Yahoo ADP of 32.7, and while the availability was there (70 games played), the production dipped slightly. The three-time All-Star averaged one point less per game compared to the 2022-23 campaign, and Bam also experienced decreases in field goal and free throw percentages.       Advice: LeVert is in the midst of a tough series, and although the Cavaliers were missing Jarrett Allen (ribs), the team opted to turn to Isaac Okoro and Marcus Morris rather than LeVert.       Advice: Suggs wasn't able to generate much on the offensive end, and he has the unenviable task of trying to slow Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell in this series.       Advice: Joel Embiid clearly wasn't 100 percent, so Maxey stepped up in a big way for the 76ers. He used his quickness to get whatever look he wanted on the court, and he hit a three-pointer near halfcourt to send this game to overtime.       Advice: Portis atoned for his ejection in Game 4, leading the Bucks to an emphatic victory. He led all scorers with 29 points, having his way on the interior against a Pacers team that looked out-enthused. With Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) still on the sideline, Portis has been the primary beneficiary. Milwaukee will need him to replicate this performance Thursday should they hope to force a Game 7.       Advice: After getting ejected early in Game 4, Portis was able to play the entire game on Tuesday. He was able to make up for it with his best performance of the series to help them secure the win and extend the series. He has been fantastic as a starter in place of Giannis Antetokounmpo and has a double-double in every game that he has finished this series.       Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with 46 points (17-of-30 FGs), five rebounds, nine assists and seven 3-pointers in a 112-106 overtime win over the Knicks in Game 5 on Tuesday.

      Advice: With Joel Embiid struggling, Maxey stepped up to lead the 76ers in this game. Even when it seemed like the game was over, Maxey kept them alive. They trailed by six points with 30 seconds left when Maxey converted a four-point play. Then he knocked down a deep three after Josh Hart split free throws to tie the game and force overtime. Maxey added five more points in the overtime period to extend the series and force a Game 6 in Philadelphia. This was the closest thing we’ve seen to Reggie Miller’s eight points in nine seconds, and the 76ers now have some life and momentum in this series. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:11 pm
       
    • Anthony Davis finishes with 17/15/4 line in loss
      Anthony Davis recorded a double-double on Monday with 17 points (8-of-11 FGs), 15 rebounds, four assists and two blocks against Denver in Game 5.

      Advice: After a strong first half, AD exited the game briefly due to a left shoulder injury. While he was able to play through it, he really wasn’t the same player after that. 16 of his 17 points came before halftime, and if he stayed healthy, the result of this game may have been different. AD has been banged up all season, but he was still able to play a career-high 77 games. Davis has been knocked in fantasy hoops over the last few years by his lack of games played, but he may have flipped the script this season.     • Battles through shoulder injury
      Davis suffered a left shoulder injury during the third quarter of Monday's Game 5 against the Nuggets but was able to return after visiting the locker room. He recorded 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-2 FT), 15 rebounds, four assists and two blocks across 40 minutes in the loss.

      Advice: Davis suffered the injury early in the third quarter on a play during which he took contact to his left shoulder, and though he was able to remain in the contest immediately afterward, he was barely able to use his left arm. The 31-year-old exited the game with four minutes left in the third quarter and went to the locker room, later returning for the final period. The injury seemed to impact Davis on the offensive end of the court, forcing LeBron James and Austin Reaves to shoulder heavy workloads down the stretch.
