    • Paolo Banchero records 38/16/2/3/1 line in Game 7
      Paolo Banchero logged 41 minutes in Sunday’s 106-94 loss to Cleveland, amassing 38 points (10-of-28 FGs, 15-of-18 FTs), 16 rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block, and three 3-pointers.

      Advice: Between the field goal percentage and his five turnovers, Banchero did not have the most efficient Sunday afternoon. However, his overall play was the primary reason why Orlando had a chance to win Game 7. The lack of consistent help from others factored into Banchero’s efficiency issues. Still, he gained a significant amount of respect from mainstream followers of the NBA with his play throughout the series. Orlando lost all four games its standout forward committed at least five turnovers. And that category significantly impacted his fantasy value during the regular season. While a top 100 player in 8-cat formats, Banchero finished the regular season outside the top 150 in 9-cat. How Orlando handles its needs on the perimeter (consistent shooting and playmaking) will impact whether Banchero comes off in the fifth round of most drafts (as he did last fall) or slightly higher.     • Report: Pels unlikely to offer Ingram an extension
      According to Forbes Sports’ Evan Sidery, the Pelicans are unlikely to offer Brandon Ingram a contract extension this summer.

      Advice: Ingram, who struggled in the Pelicans’ first-round loss to Oklahoma City, is due to make a little over $36 million in the final season of his deal. He can sign an extension worth up to $208 million over four years. However, with Pelicans lead executive David Griffin saying during his post-season availability that changes will be made, Saturday’s report could be a sign that New Orleans is open to parting with Ingram if a proper deal can be made. Trey Murphy is also extension eligible, but his price tag is considerably lower than Ingram’s, whose 64 games played in 2023-24 were the most he’s been available for since being traded to New Orleans in 2019.     • Paolo Banchero scores team-high 27 points Friday
      Paolo Banchero finished Friday’s Game 6 victory over the Cavaliers with 27 points (9-of-20 FGs, 7-of-10 FTs), eight rebounds, four assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 41 minutes.

      Advice: With their backs against the wall, Banchero and the Magic stepped up to force a decisive Game 7. The All-Star forward led the way offensively while combining with Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs to make some playoff history. That trio became the third-youngest to score at least 20 points in the same playoff game, joining two separate Oklahoma City Thunder tandems (Durant/Harden/Westbrook and Durant/Ibaka/Westbrook). Orlando will need to win in Cleveland on Sunday to advance. Still, Banchero’s performance in Game 5 should inspire confidence that he can play at a high level on the road, as he struggled mightily with turnovers (15) in the series’ first two games.       Banchero supplied 39 points (14-24 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 7-8 FT), eight rebounds and four assists over 38 minutes during Tuesday's 104-103 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Banchero's 39 points mark a new career high in the postseason, and this was a terrific bounce-back performance after he was held to nine points in Game 4 on Saturday. Banchero has been terrific in his first career playoff series, posting averages of 24.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.2 three-pointers through five games.       Paolo Banchero led the Magic with 39 points (14-of-24 FGs), eight rebounds, four assists, four triples and five turnovers in a 104-103 loss to Cleveland in Game 5 on Tuesday.

      Advice: It may not have resulted in a win, but Banchero was fantastic in this game. He became the third-youngest player to score at least 39 points in a playoff game, with only LeBron James and Magic Johnson in front of him. That isn’t a bad list to be on, and they’ll need him to continue to play at this level if they want to win their next two games. They’ll head back to Orlando for Game 6 on Friday, where Banchero only scored nine points in the blowout win in Game 4. He’ll look to bring some of this scoring down to Florida.     • Dorture Chamber: Brandon Ingram held to 8 points
      Brandon Ingram struggled in the Game 4 loss on Monday, finishing with just eight points (2-of-14 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks in a 97-89 loss to the Thunder.

      Advice: In a category fantasy league, BI was actually able to contribute some value, specifically on the defensive end. However, in the playoffs, they need him to make an impact as a scorer. Unfortunately, Lu Dort got in the way of that. Over the course of the series, Ingram averaged 14.3 points on 34.5% shooting from the floor, which simply won’t get the job done with Zion Williamson sidelined. It was a successful season for New Orleans, as they finished with 49 wins, but that didn’t help the much in the tightly-contested Western Conference playoff race. This was BI’s fifth year with the team, and they have yet to win a playoff series. Expectations will certainly be high heading into next season. Rotoworld Monday, 8:49 pm

      Advice: Banchero struggled to find an offensive rhythm and scored his fewest points since Nov. 29, but the Magic still evened the series at 2-2. The budding superstar averaged 25.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 37.0 minutes over the first three matchups of the opening-round series and scored in single digits only twice during the regular season.       Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with 19 points (7-of-14 FGs), five rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and two triples in a 106-85 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 3 on Saturday.

      Advice: With Zion Williamson sidelined, the Pelicans have needed BI to put the team on his back. He simply hasn’t been able to do that. He is averaging 18.3 points per game in this series, which isn’t All-Star level production. They’re now down 3-0 in this series, and they’ll need Ingram to step up his aggressiveness in Game 4 on Monday if they want to extend this series. He made 50% of his shots in this game after shooting 50% in Game 2 as well. They simply need him to shoot more, which is something that Lu Dort hasn’t made easy. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:31 pm

      Banchero closed with 31 points (13-26 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 14 rebounds, five assists and one steal over 29 minutes during Thursday's 121-83 victory over the Cavaliers in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: There's no question that Banchero is the engine that keeps the Magic going on offense, and the star forward made his presence felt on both ends of the court Thursday, leading the Magic in both points and rebounds en route to a blowout win. Banchero has surpassed the 20-point mark in his three appearances in the series, averaging 25.3 points per game while shooting 49.2 percent from the field and 35.0 percent from three-point range.
