      Reaves closed Monday's 108-106 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 19 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-8 FT), three rebounds, four assists, two blocks and three steals over 34 minutes.

      Advice: Reaves scored nine of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough as the Lakers were bounced from the playoffs on another game-winning shot by Jamal Murray. After a slow start to the opening-round series, Reaves averaged 20.7 points, 4.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 35.0 minutes over the final three matchups, but Los Angeles won only one of those contests. The third-year wing appeared in all 82 regular-season games and averaged 15.9 points, 5.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 32.1 minutes -- all career highs.       Advice: James did everything in his power to extend the opening-round matchup, including playing all but four minutes of Game 5, but it wasn't enough to get the job done. The 39-year-old forward poured in 30 points in each of the last two games and consistently packed the stat sheet throughout the series, averaging 27.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.8 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.0 blocks over five appearances.       Austin Reaves provided a scoring boost on Monday with 19 points (6-of-11 FGs), three rebounds, four assists, three steals, two blocks and one triple against Denver.

      Advice: Reaves came alive in the fourth quarter and had nine points over the final six minutes of the game as the Lakers traded leads with the Nuggets. It didn’t end up being enough to keep their season alive, but Reaves was still able to turn in a solid stat line. This was year one of a four year deal that has been a bargain for the Lakers. That flexibility should allow the Lakers to reload this summer, with Reaves being one of the only players outside of LeBron James and Anthony Davis that should be a safe bet to be wearing purple and gold again next season.       LeBron James led the Lakers with 30 points (11-of-21 FGs), nine rebounds, 11 assists, four steals and three triples in a 108-106 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 on Monday.

      Advice: While it certainly won’t mean much, LeBron played well in this series and closed it out with another excellent performance. He averaged 27.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.8 assists, 2.4 steals, 1.0 block and 2.0 triples while shooting 56.6% from the floor through the five-game series, which was much closer than the gentlemen’s sweep makes it look. The Lakers were outscored by a total of 11 points in five games and were at the mercy of two game-winning shots by Jamal Murray.       Valanciunas supplied 19 points (6-15 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and one steal across 26 minutes during Monday's 97-89 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Valanciunas finished second on his team in scoring and put together a valiant effort on the glass, marking his second double-double of the first round.       Williams ended Monday's 97-89 win over the Pelicans in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 24 points (9-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals over 38 minutes.

      Advice: Williams made his mark in the fourth quarter of Monday's series-clinching win, scoring six of his 11 fourth-quarter points from downtown while adding two boards and one steal in 12 minutes of action. He scored 20-plus points in the final three matchups of the opening round and will continue to be a key piece of the puzzle for a young Thunder team moving deeper into the postseason.       Jonas Valanciunas recorded a double-double in Game 4 on Monday with 19 points (6-of-15 FGs), 13 rebounds, one assist and one steal against the Thunder.

      Advice: After only playing 12 minutes in their last game, with Willie Green opting to use a smaller lineup, JV was back to his usual minutes in this one. He wasn’t quite as dominant on the glass as he was in Game 1, but he was still able to haul in a game-high 13 boards. After a strong run of fantasy success, JV’s minutes have dipped over the last two seasons, which has limited his fantasy impact. He is still a beast on the boards, but it is difficult for him to contribute much else in 23.4 minutes per game, which was his role this season. Rotoworld Monday, 9:02 pm

      Jalen Williams posted a full line on Monday with 24 points (9-of-17 FGs), eight rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block and two triples in a 97-89 win over the Pelicans in Game 4.

      Advice: OKC has their superstar in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but JDub is a star in the making that has shined on the national stage. He closed out this series by scoring eight straight points with less than five minutes left to give the Thunder a double-digit lead late in the fourth. Williams didn’t make the impact that Lu Dort did, but he did make contribute a ton on the defensive end in this series, as they held the Pelicans to 89.5 points per game. They’ll take on the winner of the Mavericks-Clippers series in round two, with a chance to make the Western Conference Finals on the line. Rotoworld Monday, 8:30 pm
       
    • Bam Adebayo puts up 25/17/5, Heat go down 3-1
      Bam Adebayo led Miami with 25 points (11-of-22 FGs), 17 rebounds, five assists and one triple in a 102-88 loss to Boston in Game 4 on Monday.

      Advice: Bam had an excellent game, but it didn’t end up being enough for the Heat to defend their home court and tie the series up. Adebayo has had an impressive series, averaging 22.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. However, without Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier, they haven’t been able to put up much of a fight, aside from their Game 2 upset win in Boston. Expect another big game from Bam in Game 5, but it probably won’t make much of a difference in this series. The Heat simply haven’t been healthy enough to truly compete against a loaded Celtics team.
