    • Plays reduced minutes in Game 5
Gobert provided nine points (4-8 FG, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes during Thursday's 124-103 loss to the Mavericks in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

Advice: Gobert's 26 minutes were his lowest of the series despite recording just one foul. The 2023-24 Defensive Player of the Year was often forced to play away from the rim and come out to meet Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving on the perimeter in the pick-and-roll. Gobert averaged 11.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 34.0 minutes across the five games against Dallas. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:27 pm
    • Rudy Gobert limited to five rebounds on Thursday
Rudy Gobert shot 4-of-8 from the field and 1-of-2 from the foul line in Thursday’s loss to the Mavericks, amassing nine points, five rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 26 minutes.

Advice: Gobert was relatively quiet on Thursday night after recording a double-double in Minnesota’s Game 4 victory. He averaged 11.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game for the series but could not significantly impact the action as a rim-protector. Gobert’s 2023-24 season was an improvement on 2022-23, his first after being traded to Minnesota. The chemistry between him and Karl-Anthony Towns improved, but the partnership lowered the fantasy ceilings of both players. Gobert has top-50 potential, but this represents his ceiling rather than his floor. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:37 pm
    • Rudy Gobert tallies 13 points, 10 rebounds Tuesday
Rudy Gobert accumulated 13 points (4-of-5 FGs, 5-of-9 FTs), 10 rebounds, one assist, and one blocked shot in 39 minutes in Tuesday’s 105-100 win over Dallas.

Advice: The Timberwolves aren’t done yet, as their best players performed well enough to avoid being swept. Gobert recorded his second double-double of the series, the first coming in Minnesota’s Game 2 loss at home. He also played a series-high 39 minutes for the Timberwolves, who did not have to deal with Mavericks backup center Dereck Lively II (neck sprain). Gobert and the Timberwolves avoided falling apart in crunch time, which was an issue in the first three games of the series. They’ll look to extend the series even further on Thursday night at home. • Another excellent showing
Brown ended with 29 points (11-22 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-6 FT), six rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals over 44 minutes during Monday's 105-102 win over the Pacers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Advice: Even though Jayson Tatum led the Celtics in scoring throughout the series and Jrue Holiday grabbed headlines for his excellent defensive play, no player was more consistent than Brown, who was named the MVP of the Eastern Conference Finals. Brown surpassed the 25-point mark in three of the four games he played against Indiana after accomplishing that feat just three times in the previous two series combined. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:34 pm
    • Jaylen Brown wins MVP honors as Celtics sweep IND
Jaylen Brown finished Monday’s 105-102 win over Indiana with 29 points (11-of-22 FGs, 3-of-6 FTs), six rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block, and four 3-pointers in 44 minutes.

Advice: Boston completed its sweep of the Eastern Conference Finals on Monday, but three games were highly competitive. Close-out games are rarely easy, and the Celtics’ stars led the way in Game 4. Brown tallied a game-high 29 points on 50% shooting while recording a full stat line. For the series, he averaged 29.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals, 0.8 blocks, and 2.5 3-pointers per game, shooting 51.7% from the field. Next up for Brown and the Celtics is the NBA Finals, which will not begin until June 6. Rotoworld Monday, 7:45 pm
    • Jaylen Brown tallies 24 points, full line Saturday
Jaylen Brown accumulated 24 points (10-of-18 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), two rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block, and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Pacers.

Advice: Boston now holds a 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals, as they erased an 18-point deficit on Saturday night. Brown and Jayson Tatum combined to score 60 points on 22-of-41 shooting from the field, and Al Horford chipped in with 23 points of his own. JB7 has proven to be a tough matchup for Indiana, as he’s averaged 30.0 points per game on 52.3% shooting from the field in this series. Brown and the Celtics will look to close out the series on Monday. And based on Boston nearly climbing out of a 0-3 hole in last season’s conference finals, they’re unlikely to take their foot off the gas. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:25 pm
    • Records double-double
Gobert closed Friday's 109-108 loss to the Mavericks in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals with 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-6 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in 38 minutes.

Advice: Gobert will probably be remembered for being unable to defend Luka Doncic on the play that gave Dallas the victory late in the fourth quarter, but the towering Frenchman was having a solid game before that. He has recorded three double-doubles over his last six playoff contests while scoring in double digits five times in that span. Rotowire.com Saturday, 4:58 pm
    • Rudy Gobert posts 16/10/2/2/1 line in Game 2 loss
Rudy Gobert logged 37 minutes in Friday’s 109-108 loss to the Mavericks, recording a line of 16 points (6-of-10 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one blocked shot.

Advice: Much will be made of Gobert switching onto Luka Doncic for the Mavericks’ guard’s game-winning 3-pointer, but one could argue that the Defensive Player of the Year should not have been in that position. And Gobert’s play has been the least of Minnesota’s concerns, as Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns continue to struggle offensively. After shooting 6-of-20 from the field in Game 1, KAT was even worse in Game 2, going 4-of-16 and finishing with 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer. Regardless of what Gobert does (or doesn’t do), the Timberwolves will find it challenging to turn this series around if Towns doesn’t improve his play. Rotoworld Friday, 8:49 pm
    • Explodes for 40 points in Game 2
Brown contributed 40 points (14-27 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 8-11 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal over 37 minutes during Thursday's 126-110 victory over the Pacers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Advice: Brown has been on a roll of late, and this 40-point effort was his best scoring mark of the 2023-24 playoff campaign. The star forward has surpassed the 25-point mark in four of his last five appearances, and he should continue to have a massive role in the Celtics' offensive scheme during Game 3 on Saturday.
