    • Report: Pels unlikely to offer Ingram an extension
According to Forbes Sports’ Evan Sidery, the Pelicans are unlikely to offer Brandon Ingram a contract extension this summer.

Advice: Ingram, who struggled in the Pelicans’ first-round loss to Oklahoma City, is due to make a little over $36 million in the final season of his deal. He can sign an extension worth up to $208 million over four years. However, with Pelicans lead executive David Griffin saying during his post-season availability that changes will be made, Saturday’s report could be a sign that New Orleans is open to parting with Ingram if a proper deal can be made. Trey Murphy is also extension eligible, but his price tag is considerably lower than Ingram’s, whose 64 games played in 2023-24 were the most he’s been available for since being traded to New Orleans in 2019. Murphy would have the most to gain regarding fantasy value if Ingram is dealt, depending on the return. Rotoworld Saturday, 11:05 am
    • Ends season plagued by struggles
Herro ended Wednesday's 118-84 loss to the Celtics in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 15 points (6-19 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 35 minutes.

Advice: Herro was forced to embrace a more prominent role on offense due to the absences of Jimmy Butler (knee) and Terry Rozier (neck) in the series against the Celtics. While the numbers were decent across the board, he struggled badly in terms of efficiency and shooting percentages. Over the five games of the series, Herro made just 38.5 percent of his shots from the field and 34.9 percent of his three-pointers. He averaged 16.8 points per game, but that was not enough to lift Miami to victory against the team with the best record in the NBA. Rotowire.com Thursday, 5:51 am
    • Tyler Herro scores inefficient 15 points in rout
Tyler Herro shot 6-of-19 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Wednesday’s Game 5 loss to the Celtics, recording a line of 15 points, three rebounds, three assists, and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

Advice: Miami was without Jimmy Butler, Terry Rozier, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. for Game 5, putting even more pressure on Herro to perform with the team’s season on the line. He struggled, as many guards do when dealing with Jrue Holiday. While he established new career-highs in points (20.8 per game), assists (4.5), and 3-pointers (3.1), injuries limited Herro’s fantasy value. Beginning the season with a Yahoo ADP of 68.9, he finished the regular season ranked just inside the top 90 in 9-cat, per-game value, according to Basketball Monster. If Herro can play 65-plus games, as he did during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, he’s capable of approaching top-60 fantasy value. He’ll be worth selecting in the 6th round of standard league drafts, depending on potential changes to the Heat roster. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:57 pm
    • Dorture Chamber: Brandon Ingram held to 8 points
Brandon Ingram struggled in the Game 4 loss on Monday, finishing with just eight points (2-of-14 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks in a 97-89 loss to the Thunder.

Advice: In a category fantasy league, BI was actually able to contribute some value, specifically on the defensive end. However, in the playoffs, they need him to make an impact as a scorer. Unfortunately, Lu Dort got in the way of that. Over the course of the series, Ingram averaged 14.3 points on 34.5% shooting from the floor, which simply won’t get the job done with Zion Williamson sidelined. It was a successful season for New Orleans, as they finished with 49 wins, but that didn’t help the much in the tightly-contested Western Conference playoff race. This was BI’s fifth year with the team, and they have yet to win a playoff series. Expectations will certainly be high heading into next season. Rotoworld Monday, 8:49 pm
    • Poor shooting effort in Game 3
Herro finished with 15 points (5-16 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes during Saturday's 104-84 loss to the Celtics in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Advice: Herro had a rough outing Saturday, as he had a tough time when matched up against Jaylen Brown, and he finished the game with more field-goal attempts than points scored. That's not an encouraging performance from a player that needs to steps up offensively, particularly with Jimmy Butler (knee) sidelined. Through three games in the current series against the Celtics, Herro has gone 16-for-42 from the field while failing to surpass the 15-point mark twice. Rotowire.com Apr 27, 9:15 pm
    • Tyler Herro struggles, finishes with 15 points
Tyler Herro shot 5-of-16 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Saturday’s Game 3 loss to the Celtics, accounting for 15 points, two rebounds, two assists, and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Advice: The road team has recently dominated the Celtics/Heat series, and Saturday was no exception. After going off in Miami’s Game 2 victory, Herro was held in check, shooting 2-of-7 from two and finishing with nearly as many turnovers (four) as made baskets (five). The Head didn’t get much from Caleb Martin, either, as he finished with five points, three rebounds, two assists, and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes. Miami will need more production from Herro and Martin if they’re to win Game 4, which is on Monday night. Rotoworld Apr 27, 5:15 pm
    • Brandon Ingram leads Pelis with 19 points in loss
Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with 19 points (7-of-14 FGs), five rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and two triples in a 106-85 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 3 on Saturday.

Advice: With Zion Williamson sidelined, the Pelicans have needed BI to put the team on his back. He simply hasn’t been able to do that. He is averaging 18.3 points per game in this series, which isn’t All-Star level production. They’re now down 3-0 in this series, and they’ll need Ingram to step up his aggressiveness in Game 4 on Monday if they want to extend this series. He made 50% of his shots in this game after shooting 50% in Game 2 as well. They simply need him to shoot more, which is something that Lu Dort hasn’t made easy. Rotoworld Apr 27, 3:31 pm
