    • Another poor shooting performance
      Russell closed Monday's 108-106 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 14 points (6-15 FG, 2-10 3Pt), one rebound and six assists in 39 minutes.

      Advice: Russell finished the opening-round series shooting 38.4 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from deep. He had a pair of standout performances, but his overall production was too inconsistent. It was a disappointing end to what was a solid season for the veteran point guard.       Advice: Russell faced tons of scrutiny following a woeful effort in a Game 3 loss during which he finished scoreless (0-7 FG, 0-6 3Pt), but he bounced back admirably and reached the 20-point mark for the second time in this series.       D’Angelo Russell amassed 21 points (8-of-15 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, four assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 41 minutes in the Lakers’ Game 4 win over the Nuggets on Saturday.

      Advice: Despite the questions regarding whether or not he would change the starting lineup, Lakers coach Darvin Ham stuck with the same five with his team’s season on the line. Russell, who went scoreless on 0-of-7 shooting in Game 3, rewarded his coach’s faith, rebounding and scoring an efficient 21 points on Saturday. While Russell struggled throughout last season’s Western Conference Finals, he has been up and down in this series.
