      Devin Booker led the Suns with 28 points (10-of-19 FGs), four rebounds, four assists and six triples in a 126-109 loss to Minnesota in Game 3 on Friday.

      Advice: Phoenix’s big three combined to score 76 points on 26-of-52 shooting from the floor. None of them had a spectacular performance, but their total output was solid and efficient. However, it still wasn’t enough. Booker led the way, though he did pad his stats at the end with a few garbage-time buckets. If they want to keep their season alive in Game 4 on Sunday, they’re going to need a big performance from either Booker of KD.     • Bobby Portis records 17/18 double-double in Game 3
      Bobby Portis recorded a double-double on Friday with 17 points (7-of-15 FGs), 18 rebounds, one steal, one block and one triple against Indiana.

      Advice: Portis, who was a finalist for the league’s Sixth Man of the Year award, has played really well as the starting power forward in place of Giannis Antetokounmpo, and that continued in this game. He has recorded a double-double in all three games of this series, but this was by far his best outing. Giannis isn’t expected to play in this series, so Portis should continue to start.       Portis finished with 17 points (7-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 18 rebounds, one block and one steal over 44 minutes in Friday's 121-118 overtime loss to Indiana in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Portis dominated the boards in Friday's contest, leading all players in rebounds while finishing as one of two Bucks with a double-double in a losing effort in overtime. Portis has stepped in nicely while Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) continues to miss time, recording a double-double in all three games in the first-round series thus far. Portis will likely continue to remain in the starting lineup until Antetokounmpo is able to return, and he would become a key player off Milwaukee's bench if the two-time MVP does come back at some point in the series against Indiana.       Banchero closed with 31 points (13-26 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 14 rebounds, five assists and one steal over 29 minutes during Thursday's 121-83 victory over the Cavaliers in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: There's no question that Banchero is the engine that keeps the Magic going on offense, and the star forward made his presence felt on both ends of the court Thursday, leading the Magic in both points and rebounds en route to a blowout win. Banchero has surpassed the 20-point mark in his three appearances in the series, averaging 25.3 points per game while shooting 49.2 percent from the field and 35.0 percent from three-point range.       Suggs provided 24 points (9-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals over 28 minutes during Thursday's 121-83 victory over the Cavaliers in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Paolo Banchero led the way for the Magic with an impressive double-double, but Suggs' outing can't be overlooked, as he missed just two shots from the field while also making his presence felt on both ends of the court. The Magic need Suggs to be at his best if they want to have a shot at turning things around in the series, and this was certainly a step in the right direction after he scored a combined 22 points while going 6-for-21 from the field in the first two games of this series.     • Jalen Brunson drops 39 points, 13 dimes in Game 3
      Jalen Brunson accumulated 39 points (13-of-27 FGs, 10-of-12 FTs), two rebounds, 13 assists, and three 3-pointers in 45 minutes in Thursday’s 125-114 loss to Philadelphia.

      Advice: While the Knicks won the series’ first two games, they did so with Brunson struggling offensively. The supporting cast stepped up in those victories, and JB shined in a losing effort in Game 3. In addition to the 39 points, he dished out 13 assists and played 45 of a possible 48 minutes. No Knicks reserves reached double figures on Thursday, with Miles McBride (8/2/1/1 with two 3-pointers) leading the way.       Tyrese Maxey finished Thursday’s Game 3 win over the Knicks with 25 points (9-of-21 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and three 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

      Advice: After scoring 33 and 35 points in the series’ first two games, Maxey did not shoot the ball as well in Game 3. However, the winner of the NBA’s Most Improved Player award managed turnovers better than he did in the two losses in New York. Maxey committed just one turnover in Game 3 after tallying seven in Games 1 (three) and two (four). Even if the field-goal percentage isn’t always where it should be, Maxey is talented enough to compensate for that with increased production in other areas.       Jalen Suggs (left knee strain) shot 9-of-11 from the field and 3-of-3 from the foul line in Thursday’s 121-83 win over Cleveland, amassing 24 points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block, and three 3-pointers in 28 minutes.

      Advice: After injuring his knee during the first half of Monday’s Game 2 loss, Suggs was at his best in Game 3. In addition to recording a full stat line, he provided the Magic with some much-needed perimeter shooting as Orlando picked up its first win of the series.       Paolo Banchero finished Thursday’s 121-83 win over Cleveland with 31 points (13-of-26 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), 14 rebounds, four assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 29 minutes.

      Advice: After committing 15 turnovers in the series’ first two games, Banchero produced a masterclass in Game 3. In addition to the gaudy double-double, he did not commit a single turnover in his 29 minutes on the floor. Orlando finished with eight as a team, which, along with the improved shooting, factored into their sparkling performance. Banchero and the Magic will look to even the series on Saturday.
