    • Jalen Suggs shoots poorly, scores 10 points Sunday
      Jalen Suggs finished Sunday’s Game 7 loss to Cleveland with 10 points (2-of-13 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), nine rebounds, four assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

      Advice: Despite opening the game making six of its first 11 3-pointers, the Magic received a harsh reminder of their most significant weakness in Game 7. Orlando would finish 10-of-31 from beyond the arc, with Suggs making two of his 10 attempts. The third-year guard reached double figures in six of the series’ seven games, but he shot below 40% from the field and 29% from three. While injury-related questions and limited production when healthy during his first two seasons negatively impacted Suggs’ ADP (141.9), he provided top 100 value in 8- and 9-cat formats. Whether or not this season gives his value a boost ahead of drafts in the fall depends on what changes Orlando makes to its perimeter rotation via the draft and free agency. Also, Suggs will be eligible for an extension this offseason.       Jalen Suggs accumulated 22 points (7-of-16 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, four assists, and six 3-pointers in 35 minutes in Friday’s 103-96 win over Cleveland.

      Advice: After missing all five of his attempts in Game 5, Suggs was responsible for six of Orlando’s 11 made 3-pointers in Game 6. His performance was a welcome development for a team that finished the regular season as one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the NBA. In the series’ first five games, Suggs shot 6-of-25 from deep. While those numbers can lead some to dismiss Game 6 as a fluke, Suggs’ confidence to continue taking those shots was vital for him and the Magic.       Maxey recorded 17 points (6-18 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals over 43 minutes during Thursday's 118-115 loss to the Knicks in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Maxey was coming off a heroic performance in Game 5, scoring 46 points and making some clutch buckets to keep the 76ers alive in the series. However, he wasn't able to deliver in Game 6 and finished with more field-goal attempts than points scored. Maxey posted her lowest-scoring tally of the series in Thursday's loss, but he still averaged 29.8 points, 6.8 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game in the first round of the playoffs.       Brunson registered 41 points (13-27 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 12-16 FT), three rebounds and 12 assists over 44 minutes during Thursday's 118-115 win over the 76ers in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Brunson made history with his performance in this Game 6 win, becoming the fourth player in NBA history to record 39 or more points in four consecutive playoff appearances, which Michael Jordan last achieved during the 1992-93 season. Brunson averaged 35.5 points, 9.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game in the first-round series and should play a prominent role as the Knicks take on the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.       Tyrese Maxey shot 6-of-18 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line in Thursday’s loss to the Knicks, accumulating 17 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 43 minutes.

      Advice: After going off for 46 points in Philadelphia’s Game 5 victory, Maxey had a tough night as the 76ers’ season ended on Thursday. He made some big plays down the stretch, but the slow start was one reason the Knicks led by as much as 22 points in the first quarter. A subpar Game 6 should not put too much of a damper on Maxey’s season, as he stepped up to become the emerging star Philadelphia believed it had when they finally traded James Harden. However, the point guard will be a restricted free agent this summer, and as Fat Joe famously said, “yesterday’s price is not today’s price.” Philadelphia should re-sign Maxey, but it will cost them more money than it would have if they’d extended his deal before the season began.       Jalen Brunson shot 13-of-27 from the field and 12-of-16 from the foul line in Thursday’s 118-115 win over Philadelphia, scoring 41 points with three rebounds, 12 assists, and three 3-pointers in 44 minutes.

      Advice: After a crushing home loss in Game 5, Brunson and the Knicks showed impressive mental fortitude to end the series in six games. The All-Star point guard became the first player since Oscar Robertson in 1973 to have three games with at least 35 points and 10 assists. He’s also the first player to score at least 37 in four straight playoff games since Michael Jordan in 1993. Due to their ending the series on Thursday instead of needing a seventh game on Saturday, the Knicks will get valuable time off before their second-round series against the Pacers.       Advice: Suggs wasn't able to generate much on the offensive end, and he has the unenviable task of trying to slow Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell in this series.       Advice: Joel Embiid clearly wasn't 100 percent, so Maxey stepped up in a big way for the 76ers. He used his quickness to get whatever look he wanted on the court, and he hit a three-pointer near halfcourt to send this game to overtime.       Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with 46 points (17-of-30 FGs), five rebounds, nine assists and seven 3-pointers in a 112-106 overtime win over the Knicks in Game 5 on Tuesday.

      Advice: With Joel Embiid struggling, Maxey stepped up to lead the 76ers in this game. Even when it seemed like the game was over, Maxey kept them alive. They trailed by six points with 30 seconds left when Maxey converted a four-point play. Then he knocked down a deep three after Josh Hart split free throws to tie the game and force overtime. Maxey added five more points in the overtime period to extend the series and force a Game 6 in Philadelphia. This was the closest thing we’ve seen to Reggie Miller’s eight points in nine seconds, and the 76ers now have some life and momentum in this series. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:11 pm
