    • Doubtful to return
Kleber is doubtful to return to Friday's Game 6 against the Clippers due to a right shoulder sprain, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Barring a quick, surprising turnaround, Kleber is unlikely to return to Friday's contest. Given the nature of the injury, a return for a potential Game 7 on Sunday could be up in the air as well. In Kleber's absence, Derrick Jones could see some extra minutes providing depth at power forward. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:48 pm
    • Maxi Kleber (shoulder) doubtful to return Friday
Maxi Kleber (right shoulder sprain) is doubtful to return to Friday’s game against the Clippers.

Advice: Kleber fell hard on his right shoulder on a shot attempt after colliding with Clippers wing Amir Coffey. The veteran forward did stay in the game to shoot his free throws but was subbed out on the ensuing Clippers possession. Kleber’s absence means an increase in minutes for Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:46 pm
    • Perfect from field Wednesday
Lively racked up 12 points (5-5 FG, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one block over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 123-93 win over the Clippers in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Advice: Lively was a perfect 5-of-5 from the field, outplaying Daniel Gafford despite coming off the bench. The Mavericks have the luxury of being able to lean on both players equally, providing them flexibility when one is outplaying the other. Lively and Gafford will once again be front and center when the two teams line up again Friday. Rotowire.com Thursday, 2:52 am
    • Lands five triples in win
Kleber accumulated 15 points (5-7 FG, 5-7 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist over 19 minutes during Wednesday's 123-93 win over the Clippers in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Advice: Kleber connected on five three-pointers, helping guide the Mavericks to a comfortable victory. After coming up short in front of their home fans, Dallas was able to make easy work of the Clippers in Los Angeles. The two teams will face off again Friday, where the Mavericks will look to atone for the Game 4 loss. Rotowire.com Thursday, 2:47 am
    • The can’t miss kid: Dereck Lively II scores 12 PTS
Dereck Lively II shot 5-of-5 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Wednesday’s 123-93 win over the Clippers, finishing with 12 points, even rebounds, one assist, and one blocked shot in 25 minutes.

Advice: Lively did not miss a shot in Dallas’ Game 5 rout, with that production being a byproduct of where he got his looks. Four of the rookie’s five makes from the field were dunks, with the fifth being a nine-footer. While there have been some injury-related hiccups, the tandem of Lively and Daniel Gafford (8/5/0/1/1 in 19 minutes) has been just what the doctor ordered for the Mavericks. Dallas will look to close out the series when they host Game 6 on Friday night. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:45 pm
    • Maxi Kleber gets hot, hits five 3-pointers Weds.
Maxi Kleber made the most of his 19 minutes in Wednesday’s Game 5 win over the Clippers, scoring 15 points (5-of-7 FGs) with three rebounds, one assist, and five 3-pointers.

Advice: After scoring 15 points in the first four games of this series, Kleber matched that output in an impressive shooting performance in Game 5. While he did enter Wednesday shooting 4-of-8 from deep, to put up 15 points with solid volume was something the Clippers may not have expected from Kleber. Whether or not he can carry this performance over into Game 6 remains to be seen, but at the very least, Maxi has given the Clippers something else to think about as they prepare for Friday’s game. • Christian Wood (knee) picks up DNP-CD Saturday
Christian Wood (left knee surgery) did not play in Saturday’s win over the Nuggets.

Advice: Wood has not appeared in a game since February 14, so inserting him into a game of this magnitude may have been far-fetched. Lakers coach Darvin Ham stuck with his usual nine-man rotation, which may be the case as long as this series continues. Game 5 is on Monday in Denver. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:03 pm
    • Will play Saturday
Wood (knee) will be available for Game 4 against the Nuggets on Saturday, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Wood will finally return after a prolonged absence, as he hasn't stepped on the court since Feb. 14. He's expected to have a role off the bench and will compete for frontcourt minutes with Jaxson Hayes, though by all accounts, his role will be minimal Saturday. Rotowire.com Saturday, 3:56 pm
    • Christian Wood (knee) will play in Game 4 vs. DEN
Christian Wood (left knee surgery) will make his return to lineup for Game 4 against the Nuggets on Saturday.

Advice: Wood will be available to play for the first time since before the All-Star break. However, Jaxson Hayes wasn’t in the rotation in Game 3, and they may not want to include Wood in their rotation in an elimination game. He will be available if needed, but he may not see the floor.
