      Advice: Edwards did it all to lead Minnesota to a Game 1 win on the road, posting a new playoff career high in scoring while leading all players in Saturday's contest in points scored in an offensive showcase. Edwards, who scored 16 points in the first quarter alone and capped the game with 12 points in the final quarter, became the first Timberwolves player to post two consecutive 40-point playoff games.       Anthony Edwards delivered 43 points, seven rebounds, three assists, a steal, two blocks and three triples across 42 minutes in Saturday’s victory over the Nuggets.

      Advice: Edwards capped off a tremendous first-round sweep of the Suns with 40 points in the closeout Game 4, and he kept the momentum rolling into Game 1 of the Western Conference semis. Ant-Man shot an efficient 17-of-29 from the floor and was everywhere on both sides of the ball. He came up with key play after key play, particularly in the closing minutes when Denver attempted a late comeback after falling behind by double digits. Edwards’ big night on offense broke a tie with Sam Cassell for most 40-point playoff games in Timberwolves history, and the budding superstar has three such contests to his credit.     • Kristaps Porzingis (calf) remains ‘week-to-week’
      Kristaps Porzingis (right soleus strain) said on Saturday that he’s “slowly making progress” in his recovery and hopes to return to game action as soon as possible.

      Advice: Porzingis injured his calf during Boston’s Game 4 win over Miami, a series the Celtics won in five games. He does not have a concrete timeline for return, with it being reported on May 1 by TNT’s Chris Haynes that the 7-foot-3 big is unlikely to play in the second round. Boston still awaits its opponent, as Cleveland hosts Orlando in Game 7 on Sunday.       Advice: Harden was one of the players the Clippers needed to have step up with Kawhi Leonard (knee) sidelined, but the veteran guard didn't come through. He was particularly woeful in the final two games of the series, during which he went 7-for-28 from the field, including 1-for-13 from three-point range. He averaged 21.2 points and 8.0 assists per game in the series, but the numbers don't tell the whole story, as the Clippers needed -- and expected -- more out of him, but he couldn't deliver when called upon.     • James Harden drops 16 points, 13 assists Friday
      James Harden finished Friday’s 114-101 loss to the Mavericks with 16 points (5-of-16 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), seven rebounds, 13 assists, two steals, and one blocked shot in 43 minutes.

      Advice: Harden may have dished out 13 assists while only committing one turnover in Game 6, but he struggled shooting the basketball in his final game of the season. The Beard did not play well in the series’ final two games, which was also the case for Paul George. Friday’s loss sends James into what could be another offseason of change. Harden’s season began with instability, as he made it clear that he wanted out of Philadelphia. The 76ers ultimately accommodated that desire, and after a slow start to his time with the Clippers, The Beard rounded into form. Harden’s Yahoo ADP (31.3) suffered due to the preseason questions, but he finished the year as a top 30 player in 8- and 9-cat formats. Harden will be a free agent this summer, and the Clippers could also have to negotiate a new deal with George. Look for his ADP to improve by a few spots if the Clippers keep the roster intact.       DiVincenzo racked up 23 points (8-18 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, seven assists, three blocks and two steals across 48 minutes during Thursday's 118-115 victory over Philadelphia in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Jalen Brunson carried the Knicks to victory in this series-clinching win, but DiVincenzo deserves credit for stepping up when the team needed him the most. He was coming off a few subpar performances, as he had shot 8-for-28 from the field in the previous three games of the series, but he reached the 20-point mark for the first time in the current playoff run while also filling out the stat sheet as he normally does. The Knicks need DiVincenzo at his best if they also want to get past the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.       Advice: Having struggled for most of the series, DiVincenzo saved his best for last as the Knicks advanced to the second round in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2000. He hit three 3-pointers in the first quarter, and the 23 points were one more than the Big Ragu’s total in Games 3 through 5. Miles McBride, who took some of DiVincenzo’s minutes during that three-game dry spell, only played nine minutes in Game 6 and finished with three points (1-of-4 3-pointers).       Tyrese Haliburton (low back spasms) finished Thursday’s Game 6 win over the Bucks with 17 points (7-of-16 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), six rebounds, 10 assists, and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

      Advice: Haliburton only surpassed the 20-point mark once in six games, but the Pacers received enough production throughout the roster to eliminate the shorthanded Bucks in six games. The All-Star point guard hit double figures in assists for the third time in the series, with the Pacers winning all three of those games. Haliburton recorded a double-double in three of the six games in the first round against Milwaukee, finishing with at least 15 points in four straight outings to round out the series.
