    • Report: Pels unlikely to offer Ingram an extension
      According to Forbes Sports’ Evan Sidery, the Pelicans are unlikely to offer Brandon Ingram a contract extension this summer.

      Advice: Ingram, who struggled in the Pelicans’ first-round loss to Oklahoma City, is due to make a little over $36 million in the final season of his deal. He can sign an extension worth up to $208 million over four years. However, with Pelicans lead executive David Griffin saying during his post-season availability that changes will be made, Saturday’s report could be a sign that New Orleans is open to parting with Ingram if a proper deal can be made. Trey Murphy is also extension eligible, but his price tag is considerably lower than Ingram’s, whose 64 games played in 2023-24 were the most he’s been available for since being traded to New Orleans in 2019.       Advice: Wagner went a perfect 11-of-11 from the line, helping the Magic to an impressive Game 6 victory. It was another strong performance by Wagner, who continues to develop into a key piece for Orlando.       Franz Wagner finished Friday’s 103-96 win over Cleveland with 26 points (7-of-16 FGs, 11-of-11 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal, two blocks, and one 3-pointer in 41 minutes.

      Advice: The home team has not lost a game in this series, which remained the case in Game 6 on Friday. Wagner was one of three Magic starters to score at least 20 points, and the stat line shows that he was impactful on both ends of the floor. Game 6 was the second in which the third-year forward surpassed the 20-point mark, with the first being Orlando’s Game 4 triumph (34).       Advice: There's no doubt that Tatum is the undisputed go-to player on offense for the Celtics, and the star forward can take over a game if needed every time the team needs him to do so. He was active on both ends of the court in the series against the Heat, however, recording four double-doubles in five games while also reaching the 20-point plateau four times. He averaged 21.8 points and 10.4 rebounds per game against the Heat and will now aim to lead Boston in the Conference Semifinals, where the Celtics will take on either the Cavaliers or the Magic.     • Jayson Tatum grabs game-high 12 rebounds in rout
      Jayson Tatum logged 32 minutes in Wednesday’s 118-84 win over Miami, finishing with 16 points (4-of-9 FGs, 6-of-9 FTs), 12 rebounds, three assists, one block, and two 3-pointers.

      Advice: The only people upset about Tatum’s performance may be bettors who placed money on his overs and DFS players hoping for a big night. Boston opened up an 18-point lead by the end of the first quarter, and things would only get worse for the visiting Heat in the series clincher. Derrick White and Jaylen Brown scored 25 points, and Boston’s reward is a few days off ahead of the second round.       Franz Wagner posted a full line on Tuesday with 14 points (3-of-11 FGs), five rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block and one triple against the Cavaliers in Game 5.

      Advice: After being a hero in the Game 4 blowout win, Wagner wasn’t quite as effective in Game 5. However, he was still able to turn in a well-rounded stat line, which partially made up for the lack of scoring in DFS formats. Unfortunately, this type of performance isn’t going to be enough for them to win the series, and Wagner will have to get back on track in Game 6 in Orlando on Friday in order to force a Game 7 on Sunday.     • Dorture Chamber: Brandon Ingram held to 8 points
      Brandon Ingram struggled in the Game 4 loss on Monday, finishing with just eight points (2-of-14 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks in a 97-89 loss to the Thunder.

      Advice: In a category fantasy league, BI was actually able to contribute some value, specifically on the defensive end. However, in the playoffs, they need him to make an impact as a scorer. Unfortunately, Lu Dort got in the way of that. Over the course of the series, Ingram averaged 14.3 points on 34.5% shooting from the floor, which simply won’t get the job done with Zion Williamson sidelined. It was a successful season for New Orleans, as they finished with 49 wins, but that didn’t help the much in the tightly-contested Western Conference playoff race. This was BI’s fifth year with the team, and they have yet to win a playoff series. Expectations will certainly be high heading into next season. Rotoworld Monday, 8:49 pm

      Jayson Tatum recorded a double-double on Monday with 20 points (5-of-14 FGs), 11 rebounds, five assists and two triples against Miami in Game 4.

      Advice: Tatum didn’t have his best shooting night, but he was still able to make an impact in a convincing win that puts them up 3-1 in the series. He has shot below 40% in the three games that they have won this series, so his below average shooting nights haven’t hurt the team much. With Kristaps Porzingis exiting early due to what could be an Achilles injury, Tatum may have to continue to provide them with high level rebounding numbers for the remainder of the series.     • Stars in Game 4 win
      Wagner finished Saturday's 112-89 win over Cleveland in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 34 points (13-17 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 13 rebounds, four assists and one block in 40 minutes.

      Advice: Wagner didn't score more than 18 points through the first three matchups of the opening-round series but exploded for a game-high 34 in Game 4 and was incredibly efficient. His 34 points marked his most since Feb. 8, and his 13 rebounds were a career high. Wagner struggled mightily with his three-point shot to end the regular season, but he's made at least two triples in three of four postseason games thus far. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:43 am
