    • Karl-Anthony Towns turns in 28/10/3 in Game 4 win
Karl-Anthony Towns turned in 28 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and four triples across 39 minutes in Sunday’s win over the Suns.

Advice: Towns had his best game of the series, and the timing was perfect for Minnesota. Anthony Edwards led the way with 40 points, but KAT was the Wolves’ next highest scorer, and he chipped in his second straight double-double. Towns averaged just 25 minutes in Games 1-3, but he saw increased playing time, while Rudy Gobert played only 25 minutes. Minnesota will face the winner of the Nuggets-Lakers series in the Western Conference semifinals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:04 pm
    • Double-doubles in Game 3
Towns registered 18 points (7-16 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 13 rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes during Friday's 126-109 win over the Suns in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Advice: Towns needed 16 shots to score 18 points, but he still made his presence felt and looked active on the glass, grabbing double-digit boards despite being limited to just 24 minutes due to foul trouble. Towns has adjusted well to life operating as Minnesota's second offensive option behind Anthony Edwards, and he remains extremely valuable in fantasy as a two-way big man who can shoot threes at an above-average rate. He's averaging 16.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game in the current series while shooting an elite 45.5 percent (5-for-11) from beyond the arc. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:42 am
    • Karl-Anthony Towns records double-double in 24 min
Karl-Anthony Towns recorded a double-double on Friday with 18 points (7-of-16 FGs), 13 rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers against the Suns in Game 3.

Advice: KAT dealt with some foul trouble early in this game, which limited him to just 24 minutes of playing time. However, he was still able to turn in an effective stat line. He has committed 12 fouls in three games despite averaging just 25 minutes per game. They’re still monitoring his minutes after his extended absence, but he should play more if he stays out of foul trouble. It hasn’t hurt them yet, but it isn’t something that he can continue to do in the next round, where they’ll likely face off against Denver, barring the first ever 3-0 comeback in NBA history. • Productive in Game 2 defeat
Valanciunas closed Wednesday's 124-92 loss to the Thunder in Game 2 of the Western Conference first round with 19 points (8-14 FG, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes.

Advice: Valanciunas has been doing everything he can to slow Chet Holmgren down, and while that has proven to be a daunting task for the veteran, he's finding a rhythm on the offensive end of the court. Valanciunas has now scored at least 13 points in each of his last three postseason appearances, and he should continue to experience an uptick in his usage rate since Zion Williamson (hamstring) will still be sidelined for Game 3 on Saturday. • Jonas Valanciunas leads Pelicans in points, boards
Jonas Valanciunas amassed 19 points (8-of-14 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs) with seven rebounds and two assists in the Pelicans’ loss to the Thunder on Wednesday.

Advice: Valanciunas followed up his 20-rebound performance from Game 1 with another strong showing. The New Orleans big man has been his team’s most consistent performer so far against the Western Conference’s top team. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:19 pm
    • Limited in Game 2 victory
Towns finished Tuesday's 105-93 win over the Suns in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals with 12 points (3-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal over 24 minutes.

Advice: The coaching staff continues to monitor Towns' minutes after he made a late-season return from a knee injury. He also picked up four fouls in quick time, perhaps limiting his time on the floor Tuesday. Over the Timberwolves' first two playoff matchups this year, he's averaged 15.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 25.5 minutes per game. Minnesota has won each game by double-digit margins, so it's possible Towns' minutes increase slightly when the team is in a closer matchup. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:56 pm
    • Pulls down 20 boards in loss Sunday
Valanciunas registered 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-4 FT), 20 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 29 minutes during Sunday's 94-92 loss to the Thunder in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Advice: Valanciunas was heavily criticized for his play during the loss to the Lakers in the first round of the Play-In Tournament, but he's responded extremely well with back-to-back double-doubles against the Kings and Thunder. The veteran big man feasted on the glass against Chet Holmgren and used his physicality to dominate. Expect him to play a prominent role in the paint in Game 2 on Wednesday, especially with Zion Williamson (hamstring) still sidelined. Rotowire.com Apr 22, 7:21 am
    • Jonas Valanciunas grabs 20 rebounds in Game 1 loss
Jonas Valanciunas finished Sunday’s 94-92 loss to Oklahoma City with 13 points (5-of-9 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 20 rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 29 minutes.

Advice: Valanciunas was elite on the boards in Game 1, with nine of his 20 rebounds being of the offensive variety. Those extra possessions added up, with the Pelicans attempting 11 more shots than the Thunder and outscoring them by a 24-11 margin in second-chance points. However, Oklahoma City was a plus-6 in points in the paint (42-36). Going back to Valanciunas, Zion Williamson’s hamstring injury protects his minutes, as there were multiple occasions during the regular season in which JV’s role was diminished in favor of a Zion/Larry Nance Jr. tandem. Nance played 19 minutes on Sunday, finishing with eight points, eight rebounds, and one steal. Expect a similar split regarding playing time in Game 2 on Wednesday. Rotoworld Apr 21, 9:32 pm
    • Karl-Anthony Towns posts 19/7/4/1 line in Game 1
Karl-Anthony Towns played 27 minutes in Saturday’s win over Phoenix, amassing 19 points (5-of-9 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), seven rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Like Mike Conley, Towns’ minutes took a hit on Saturday due to foul trouble. However, unlike his point guard, KAT was productive when on the court. Fouls were also an issue for him in Sunday’s regular-season finale (Minnesota lost to Phoenix), but Towns was 3-of-8 from the field in that one. The shots are down due to his recent return from a knee injury and the continued emergence of Anthony Edwards, so KAT’s efficiency is something to keep an eye on throughout the postseason. Game 2 is on Tuesday night. Rotoworld Apr 20, 4:23 pm
