    • Report: Pels unlikely to offer Ingram an extension
      According to Forbes Sports’ Evan Sidery, the Pelicans are unlikely to offer Brandon Ingram a contract extension this summer.

      Advice: Ingram, who struggled in the Pelicans’ first-round loss to Oklahoma City, is due to make a little over $36 million in the final season of his deal. He can sign an extension worth up to $208 million over four years. However, with Pelicans lead executive David Griffin saying during his post-season availability that changes will be made, Saturday’s report could be a sign that New Orleans is open to parting with Ingram if a proper deal can be made. Trey Murphy is also extension eligible, but his price tag is considerably lower than Ingram’s, whose 64 games played in 2023-24 were the most he’s been available for since being traded to New Orleans in 2019.       Bogdanovic will undergo season-ending surgeries on his left foot and left wrist, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Bogdanovic was playing through ligament damage in his left wrist but suffered a left foot injury during his first minute in Game 4 and was already ruled out for Game 5. The sharpshooter was traded to the Knicks at the deadline and averaged 10.4 points in 19.1 minutes across his final 29 regular-season appearances. However, Bogdanovic struggled in limited action during the opening-round series against Philadelphia, as he averaged 8.0 points on 29.2 percent shooting in 16.3 minutes over the first three matchups.     • Shams: Bojan Bogdanovic (wrist) to undergo surgery
      According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Bojan Bogdanovic will undergo season-ending surgeries to his left wrist and left foot.

      Advice: Bogdanovic, who was already dealing with torn ligaments in his left (non-shooting) wrist, injured his left foot when Nicolas Batum fell onto it while diving for a loose ball during Game 4 on Sunday. The Knicks listed him on the injury report as having a left ankle contusion. Still, the report of surgery being needed indicates that the injury was more severe than initially believed. Miles McBride will play more as the Knicks look to close out the 76ers on Tuesday. Bogdanovic’s fantasy value took a hit, as an early-season injury limited him to 28 games with the Pistons before being traded to New York at the February deadline.     • Dorture Chamber: Brandon Ingram held to 8 points
      Brandon Ingram struggled in the Game 4 loss on Monday, finishing with just eight points (2-of-14 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks in a 97-89 loss to the Thunder.

      Advice: In a category fantasy league, BI was actually able to contribute some value, specifically on the defensive end. However, in the playoffs, they need him to make an impact as a scorer. Unfortunately, Lu Dort got in the way of that. Over the course of the series, Ingram averaged 14.3 points on 34.5% shooting from the floor, which simply won’t get the job done with Zion Williamson sidelined. It was a successful season for New Orleans, as they finished with 49 wins, but that didn’t help the much in the tightly-contested Western Conference playoff race. This was BI’s fifth year with the team, and they have yet to win a playoff series. Expectations will certainly be high heading into next season. Rotoworld Monday, 8:49 pm

      Advice: With the Suns dropping Game 4, they were swept by the Timberwolves and will fall short of their hefty expectations. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Durant had "persistent issues" with the offense and felt as if he was relegated to the corner too often. It will be an interesting offseason for Phoenix, to put it mildly.       Kevin Durant finished with 33 points, nine rebounds, five assists, four blocks and two triples across 46 minutes in Sunday’s 122-116 loss to Minnesota.

      Advice: Phoenix’s season came to a miserable end on Sunday night, but it wasn’t for lack of trying on Durant’s part. He did it all in this one, scoring at will, pulling down rebounds, facilitating teammates and swatting shots on defense. Unfortunately, Minnesota’s team was much better as a whole, getting needed contributions from multiple players. The Suns got strong efforts from Durant and Devin Booker (combined 82 points, 14 rebounds, 11 assists), but the rest of the starting five and the notoriously short bench came up short.
