McConnell stepped up his level of play in the series against New York, recording at least 10 points and seven assists in three outings.       Advice: Gilgeous-Alexander did everything he could to get the Thunder over the line Saturday, pouring in a game-high 36 points. While he ultimately fell short of his goal, enough can't be said about how good he was this season. The Thunder are just starting their journey, and with so many draft picks to work with, there is an opportunity for them to improve their roster sooner rather than later.       Advice: Gilgeous-Alexander’s foul of PJ Washington on a 3-point attempt proved to be the difference in Game 6, as the Mavericks forward hit two free throws with 2.5 seconds remaining to end the series. That final play should not take away from SGA’s performance throughout the series, as the MVP runner-up was outstanding. As for Gilgeous-Alexander’s fantasy season, he was all that managers hoped he would be. SGA provided top-5 per-game value, which is unlikely to change anytime soon.       Advice: McConnell was a factor once again Friday, providing the Pacers with a boost on both ends of the floor. He continues to be an underrated piece for Indiana, continuing what has been arguably his best season as a professional. Despite typically playing no more than 20 minutes, McConnell has scored in double digits in five of his past seven games while handing out a combined 45 assists during that period.       T.J. McConnell finished Friday’s 116-103 win over the Knicks with 15 points (7-of-13 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), two rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 16 minutes.

      Advice: McConnell may have only played 16 minutes in Game 6, but that was all the time he needed to impact the action. In addition to scoring repeatedly around the basket, the veteran point guard was a defensive pest. McConnell and Obi Toppin have impacted this series, with the former offering more consistent production. Toppin also played well in Game 6, finishing with 11 points, four rebounds, one assist, and one 3-pointer in 18 minutes.     • Woj: Porzingis likely to miss Games 1 and 2 of ECF
      According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Kristaps Porzingis (right soleus strain) is unlikely to be available for Games 1 and 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

      Advice: Injured during Game 4 of Boston’s first-round matchup with Miami, Porzingis missed Game 5 of that series and the second-round (five games) against Cleveland. On May 4, the 7-foot-3 big man said he was “slowly making progress” in his recovery, with the Celtics considering him to be week-to-week. Regardless of who the Celtics draw in the conference finals, Games 1 and 2 will be played on Tuesday (May 21) and Thursday (May 23) of next week. According to Wojnarowski, there is optimism that Porzingis will be available at some point in the series, with Boston taking on either New York or Indiana.       Advice: Whether the Thunder struggle offensively or not, Gilgeous-Alexander will always get the job done. Unfortunately, he couldn't do everything on his own Wednesday, and he came up short of carrying OKC to a Game 5 victory despite filling out the stat sheet admirably. With the Thunder's back against the wall, Gilgeous-Alexander will need to be at his best on Saturday, as the Thunder will aim to avoid an early playoff exit on the road in Game 6. The star floor general is averaging 31.4 points, 9.0 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game in the current series against Dallas while riding a four-game streak of appearances with 30 or more points.
