      Advice: For the first time in this series, the home team won. And Jokic was the deciding factor, as Minnesota had no answer for him in Game 5. The Joker became the second player in NBA postseason history to finish a game with at least 40 points, 10 assists, and no turnovers, joining Chris Paul (2018). On the night he received his third Most Valuable Player trophy, Jokic showed the basketball world why he was bestowed that honor.       Advice: Aaron Gordon had an excellent showing and Jamal Murray made some clutch buckets throughout the game, but Jokic was the engine that kept the team going. For the second game in a row, he came through whenever Denver needed him the most. Jokic is expected to lead the Nuggets as the series returns to Denver for a pivotal Game 5 on Tuesday, and he's averaging 26.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game in the series. He was a bit light on the peripheral contributions (especially for his lofty standards), but Jokic was still masterful across the board as he led his team to a much-needed win to even up the series with Minnesota. Jokic and Co. dropped their first two games of this series at Ball Arena, and after two road wins, they should be fired up for Tuesday’s home date with the Timberwolves.       Advice: Jokic did a little bit of everything for Denver in a much-needed Game 3 win on the road, leading all players in Friday's contest in rebounds, assists and blocks while adding a team-high-tying trio of steals and concluding as one of three Nuggets with 20 or more points. Jokic, who ended one dime shy of a triple-double, tallied his second straight double-double and has posted at least 15 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in every game of the conference semifinals thus far. The Joker finished one assist shy of a triple-double while recording a full stat line with six “stocks.” Jokic thoroughly outplayed the Minnesota big men, with Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid combining for 13 points, six rebounds, and no blocked shots.       Advice: Jokic winning the award, the third of his career, is unsurprising. The 7-footer from Serbia has won the award three times in the last four seasons, finishing second the one time he did not (2023). During the regular season, Jokic averaged 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, 9.0 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.9 blocks, and 1.1 3-pointers per game, recording 25 triple-doubles. Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Dallas’ Luka Doncic rounded out the top three in the voting. Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo finished fourth, with Jalen Brunson coming in fifth.       Advice: Jokic can change a game by himself at any point of a contest and is dominant enough to carry Denver to victory on a regular basis, but he hasn't been able to do it in the first two games of the current series. The two-time MVP winner is averaging 27.0 points, 15.0 rebounds and 9.4 assists per game through seven playoff contests. While he remains an absolute stud in fantasy regardless of what happens with the Nuggets as a team, he needs his teammates to take a step forward to avoid an early exit in their quest to win back-to-back NBA titles.       Advice: Jamal Murray (calf) isn’t playing at full strength, and Minnesota was playing without Rudy Gobert on Monday. With the Nuggets having dropped Game 1, they needed an elite performance from Jokic. While he did finish two assists shy of a triple-double, they did not get that from the Joker. He committed four turnovers, but the shooting (5-of-13 FGs) was especially concerning. Minnesota had some success during Game 1 using Karl-Anthony Towns or Naz Reid on Jokic, with Gobert serving as the “free safety.” The Timberwolves could not do that in Game 2, but they successfully defended Jokic straight up.
