      Advice: Gilgeous-Alexander struggled with his shooting touch in this one, but he crashed the boards for a series-high 10 rebounds, marking his first double-double of the 2024 postseason. The Kentucky product appeared to tweak his ankle during Monday's matchup, but he was able to work through the issue on the Thunder bench and eventually returned to lead his team to a series-clinching victory. "Just tweaked it," said head coach Mark Daigneault on Gilgeous-Alexander's ankle injury. "Obviously good enough to go back into the game. He'll need treatment.       Advice: SGA turned his ankle early in this game, but he didn’t have to sit out long. He ended up playing 40 minutes to help the Thunder complete the sweep and advance to the second round, where they’ll await the winner of the Clippers-Mavericks series. SGA had an uncharacteristically inefficient shooting night from both the floor and the free throw line in this game, but he shouldn’t have many games like this moving forward.       Nurkic provided nine points (3-5 FG, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals over 20 minutes during Sunday's 122-116 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Nurkic was very inconsistent in the first round against the Timberwolves, which was the case for most of the team, to be fair. Overall, Nurkic had a solid regular season campaign for Phoenix, averaging 10.9 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.1 blocks and 1.1 steals. Nurkic will remain under contract for two more seasons.       Advice: Maxey provided Philadelphia with a well-rounded outing in the Game 4 defeat, connecting on a team-high-tying trio of threes while ending as one of two players with 20 or more points. Maxey has been one of the 76ers' best offensive producers in the first-round series, surpassing the 20-point mark in all four outings.       Tyrese Maxey accounted for 23 points (8-of-21 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, six assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers in 43 minutes in Sunday’s Game 4 loss to the Knicks.

      Advice: Maxey and the 76ers are now on the brink of elimination, and his production decreased in Philadelphia’s two home games. After shooting 54% from the field in Games 1 and 2 (68 points), Maxey shot 17-of-42 and scored 48 at home. That isn’t terrible, but the decrease becomes magnified when the “supporting cast” continues to offer limited value. Kyle Lowry (7/5/7 with one 3-pointer) shot 1-of-6 from the field, and Tobias Harris (10 points, eight rebounds) was 4-of-10. Game 5 is on Tuesday in New York, with Philadelphia facing a 3-1 deficit.       Advice: Garland has yet to score more than 15 points through four postseason games and has shot only 41.9 percent from the field during that stretch. Following back-to-back losses in Orlando to even the series, Cleveland needs more offensive production out of its point guard if the team is going to advance to the next round.       Advice: SGA wasn’t as efficient in this game in comparison to his performances in Games 1 and 2, but he was still able to lead the team in scoring and help them take a commanding 3-0 lead in the series. This was a well-rounded performance for the team, and they’ll have a chance to close out the series in Game 4 on Monday. SGA, who is a finalist for the league’s MVP award, has had a strong start to the postseason, and they’ll need him to keep it up if they want to make any real noise in the playoffs this year.       Harris totaled eight points (4-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt), five rebounds and one block across 33 minutes during Thursday's 125-114 win over New York in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Harris continues to come up short for the 76ers, scoring no more than 10 points for the third straight playoff game. He is averaging just 8.3 points per game thus far, well below where he needs to be if they are to make any real noise during the postseason.     • Tyrese Maxey tallies 25 points, seven assists
      Tyrese Maxey finished Thursday’s Game 3 win over the Knicks with 25 points (9-of-21 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and three 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

      Advice: After scoring 33 and 35 points in the series’ first two games, Maxey did not shoot the ball as well in Game 3. However, the winner of the NBA’s Most Improved Player award managed turnovers better than he did in the two losses in New York. Maxey committed just one turnover in Game 3 after tallying seven in Games 1 (three) and two (four). Even if the field-goal percentage isn’t always where it should be, Maxey is talented enough to compensate for that with increased production in other areas.
