    • Jalen Brunson drops 40 in OT loss in Game 5
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 40 points (15-of-32 FGs), three rebounds, six assists, three steals and four triples in a 112-106 overtime loss to Philadelphia in Game 5 on Tuesday.

Advice: With a chance to close out the series at home, Brunson had a massive performance, which was his second straight game with at least 40 points. Unfortunately, an unreal stretch from Tyrese Maxey late in the fourth quarter forced overtime, where the Knicks just couldn’t get anything going outside of Brunson, who scored all nine of their points in the extra frame. It was still an impressive game from Brunson, but they’ll now have to go into Philadelphia for Game 6 on Thursday. Brunson averaged 43 points in the two games in Philly, with the Knicks coming away with a win in Game 4. They’ll need another masterclass performance out of him to avoid a Game 7. • Kawhi Leonard (knee) ruled out for Game 5 vs. Mavs
Kawhi Leonard (right knee inflammation) will remain sidelined for Game 5 against Dallas on Wednesday.

Advice: Unsurprisingly, Leonard has been ruled out for Game 5, though the situation isn’t as bleak as many expected. The Clippers have won the two games that he hasn’t played in, and they were able to reclaim home court advantage in Game 4. They won’t force Kawhi back out on the court if he isn’t 100%, which means that Amir Coffey should remain in the starting unit. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:04 pm
    • Ruled out for Game 5
Allen (ribs) won't play in Tuesday's Game 5 against the Magic, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Allen has been downgraded from questionable to out Tuesday due to a right rib contusion he suffered in Game 4. Isaac Okoro will replace him in the starting lineup, with Damian Jones and Tristan Thompson candidates to receive increased playing time off the bench. Allen's next chance to suit up is Game 6 on Friday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:35 pm
    • Jarrett Allen ruled out, Isaac Okoro to start
Jarrett Allen (right rib contusion) has been ruled out for Game 5 on Tuesday against the Magic, which will allow Isaac Okoro to start in his place.

Advice: With Allen sidelined, Evan Mobley will shift over to center, with Okoro entering the starting unit. Mobley has had a solid series, but he’ll have to really step up with Allen out of the rotation. Tristan Thompson will likely also be forced into extra minutes behind Mobley. • Suiting up against Philadelphia
Brunson (knee) is available and in the starting lineup for Tuesday's Game 5 against the 76ers.

Advice: Brunson has been upgraded from probable to available Tuesday despite dealing with a right knee contusion. While the star guard is averaging 33.0 points per game across the four games of the series, he is shooting just 40.5 percent from the field and 25.9 percent from three. • Jalen Brunson (knee) available for Game 5 Tuesday
According to TNT’s Jared Greenberg, Jalen Brunson (right knee contusion) is available for Tuesday’s game against the 76ers.

Advice: As expected, Brunson is available as the Knicks look to close out a series on their home court for the first time since 1999. He’ll take on his usual workload despite dealing with multiple injuries. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:38 pm
    • Confirmed out for Game 5
Coach Tyronn Lue said Tuesday that Leonard (knee) will not play in Game 5 versus the Mavericks on Wednesday, NBA writer Marc Stein reports.

Advice: Lue made this announcement shortly after saying Leonard wouldn't be doing anything at all during Tuesday's practice. Leonard clearly didn't have much mobility in Games 2 and 3, and it's unclear when he'll be able to return. Based on previous reports, the Clippers will need to see Leonard's knee inflammation improve before giving him the green light. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:00 am
    • Won't practice Tuesday
Coach Tyronn Lue said Leonard (knee) will not do anything at practice Tuesday, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Advice: After sitting out Game 1 due to inflammation in his right knee, Leonard played in Games 2 and 3, but he looked like a shell of himself with limited mobility. Leonard was held out of Game 4 on Sunday, and it would be a big surprise if he could play Wednesday based on how the forward is trending. If Leonard is indeed held out, Amir Coffey would be a candidate to see an increased role. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:55 am
    • Jarrett Allen (rib) questionable Tuesday vs. Magic
Jarrett Allen (right rib contusion) is listed as questionable for Tuesday’s Cavaliers-Magic game.

Advice: Allen is on the injury report after scoring a series-high 21 points in Game 4. The Cavs big man’s production has dropped off since he recorded back-to-back double-doubles in Games 1 and 2. Tristan Thompson could be asked to step up and play a larger role if Allen is ruled out.
