      Advice: Minnesota played Game 5 without Mike Conley, who was sidelined by a sore right Achilles. That placed even more responsibility on Edwards’ shoulders, which may not have been a good thing. Ant-Man did dish out a team-high nine assists, but he was also responsible for four turnovers while shooting 33.3% from the field. Aggression is never an issue for Edwards, but shouldering the offensive workload is considerably easier when he has his reliable sidekick on the court. Game 6 is on Thursday night in Minneapolis.       Josh Hart accumulated 18 points (7-of-16 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 11 rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block, and two 3-pointers in 39 minutes in Tuesday’s 121-91 win over the Pacers.

      Advice: Following Sunday’s Game 4 defeat, Hart admitted he did not bring the usual energy to the court. That wasn’t an issue in Game 5, as the extra time spent on the bench during that blowout loss may have refreshed the Knicks’ legs. Hart finished the 30-point win with a full stat line and a double-double, his fourth of the series. And his defensive assignment changed, as the decision to move Miles McBride into the starting lineup pushed Hart onto Pascal Siakam. Hart and Isaiah Hartenstein dominated the glass in Game 5, combing for 28 of the Knicks' 53 rebounds Tuesday.       Advice: Brunson led the Knicks in scoring for the eighth time this postseason and the third time this series. After going 16-for-43 over the previous two games, Brunson was far more efficient with his 35 shot attempts in Game 5, his most of the playoffs.       Jalen Brunson shot 18-of-35 from the field and 6-of-7 from the foul line in Tuesday’s 121-91 win over the Pacers, scoring 44 points with four rebounds, seven assists, and two 3-pointers in 43 minutes.

      Advice: The home team has not lost a game in this series, as the Knicks rolled the Pacers in Game 5 on Tuesday. And Brunson was scalding hot, scoring 28 points in the first half alone. He would finish with 44 points and seven assists, the fifth time this postseason the Knicks point guard has tallied at least 40 points and five assists in a game. There have been nine such games in Knicks franchise history (Patrick Ewing with two, Bernard King and Carmelo Anthony with one each). The additional rest Brunson and the other Knicks mainstays received during Sunday’s Game 4 blowout appeared to benefit New York, and they’ll have two days to recover for Game 6 on Friday. However, his impressive stat line was not enough to avoid a second consecutive loss at home. Edwards has scored 40 or more points in three of his last five playoff appearances, including twice in the current series. He'll aim to keep that run going Tuesday in Game 5.       Advice: Ant-Man was superhuman yet again, though the rest of his team was more like the Wasp and stung him badly in the loss. Edwards shot an efficient 16-of-25 from the floor, while his teammates combined to shoot 23-of-57 for just 63 points. The next highest scorer on the team was Mike Conley, who chipped in 15, while Karl-Anthony Towns struggled to find his shot, and Naz Reid was given just 19 minutes. Edwards has been absolutely dominant in this season’s playoffs, but he’ll need more from his teammates now that the Western Conference semis are tied up and heading back to Denver for a pivotal Game 5.       Advice: Like many of the Knicks’ available rotation players, Hart appeared to be running on empty in Game 4. He was subbed out far earlier than usual (if he sits at all), and the nature of Sunday’s game led to Hart only playing 24 minutes. The 121-89 loss was a “burn the tape” game for New York, with the additional rest for Hart and the other mainstays in the rotation being the lone positive.
