After going 16-for-43 over the previous two games, Brunson was far more efficient with his 35 shots in Game 5, his most of the playoffs.       Advice: The home team has not lost a game in this series, as the Knicks rolled the Pacers in Game 5 on Tuesday. And Brunson was scalding hot, scoring 28 points in the first half alone. He would finish with 44 points and seven assists, the fifth time this postseason the Knicks point guard has tallied at least 40 points and five assists in a game. There have been nine such games in Knicks franchise history (Patrick Ewing with two, Bernard King and Carmelo Anthony with one each). The additional rest Brunson and the other Knicks mainstays received during Sunday’s Game 4 blowout appeared to benefit New York, and they’ll have two days to recover for Game 6 on Friday.       Advice: Holiday led all Celtics in Game 4 in threes made while ending as one of three players with 15 or more points to go along with a team-high-tying handful of assists and a team-best trio of steals in a winning effort. Holiday connected on at least four threes for the first time this postseason, and he has now tallied at least 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists in two straight contests for Boston.       Jrue Holiday posted a full line on Monday with 16 points (6-of-11 FGs), seven rebounds, five assists, three steals, one block and four triples against Cleveland in Game 4.

      Advice: Holiday has been a disappointment this postseason, but he has been much better over their last two games. After scoring in double figures in just three of their first seven playoff games, Holiday averaged 17.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.0 block and 3.5 triples in their two games in Cleveland. He is playing like the star they acquired this summer to help push them over the edge, and if he continues to produce to this level, they won’t have any issues closing out the Cavs on Wednesday and advancing to the conference finals.       Jalen Brunson shot 6-of-17 from the field and 6-of-9 from the foul line in Sunday’s 121-89 loss to the Pacers, scoring 18 points with three rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 31 minutes.

      Advice: Brunson and the Knicks were never in Game 4, as the Pacers won the first quarter by a 34-14 margin and did not look back. New York’s star point guard missed his first six shot attempts and finished Sunday’s loss 0-of-5 from beyond the arc. If there’s anything the Knicks can take solace in, it’s that Sunday’s result only counts for one game, regardless of the margin. Although he ended with a modest 18 points (still a high for Holiday in this season's playoffs), the bulk of those came in the first half, keeping the Celtics on the front foot.       Jrue Holiday finished with 18 points (7-of-10 FG), eight rebounds, five assists, a block and three triples across 38 minutes in Saturday’s win over Cleveland.

      Advice: Holiday averaged 12.5 points per game in the regular season (fewest since his rookie campaign), and he scored in single figures in four of seven in the playoffs leading up to Saturday’s Game 3 victory. The 18 points are his most through eight games in this season’s playoffs, and though he hasn’t been much of a factor on offense, he’s been getting it done consistently as a defender and facilitator.       Advice: Brunson's final stat line looks decent overall, but the fact that he needed 26 shots to score 26 points can't be overlooked. The star guard has been one of the league's best players during the postseason, and the Knicks need him to be more efficient ahead of a pivotal Game 4 on Sunday.       Advice: Brunson did not look like himself early in Game 3, eventually subbing out with 6:55 remaining in the first quarter. The good news for the Knicks is that he still played 38 minutes and eventually got going as New York nearly stole a win on the road. The five turnovers were a concern, as the Pacers made Aaron Nesmith the primary defender, using a bigger body to make life difficult for Brunson. Now, there’s a quick turnaround for JB and the shorthanded Knicks to navigate, as Game 4 is on Sunday afternoon.
