The 34-year-old proved to be a crucial addition to the Celtics winning title No. 18 -- it was also Holiday's second NBA Championship in just four years.       Jrue Holiday finished Monday’s 106-88 win over the Mavericks with 15 points (7-of-14 FGs), 11 rebounds, four assists, one block, and one 3-pointer in 43 minutes.

      Advice: The Celtics wrapped up their 18th NBA title on Monday, and the win was lucrative for Holiday. The veteran guard earned a bonus worth nearly $1.265 million and recorded a double-double while doing so. Traded to the Celtics just before the start of training camp, Holiday’s fantasy value took a hit this season. However, ranking just outside the top 75 in 9-cat formats (and just inside that threshold in 8-cat), it isn’t like his production fell off a cliff. Holiday’s averages remained consistent outside of points and assists compared to his 2022-23 season with the Bucks. The veteran guard agreed to a four-year extension (player option for Year 4) in April, so his immediate future in Boston is secure. Holiday should once again be a top 75 fantasy player.       Jrue Holiday logged 29 minutes in Friday’s 122-84 loss to Dallas, tallying 10 points (4-of-10 FGs), three rebounds, two assists, one block, and two 3-pointers.

      Advice: Like many of his teammates, Holiday had a brutal night in Dallas. While the shooting numbers were respectable, the veteran guard was responsible for a team-high five turnovers. Holiday did not commit a single turnover in the series’ first three games. While he wasn’t as secure with the basketball as in prior games, Dallas deserves some credit for its improved effort on the defensive end of the floor. Backcourt partner Derrick White also struggled in Game 4, finishing with six points (2-of-8 FGs), four rebounds, one assist, and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes. Game 5 is on Monday in Boston.       According to Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer, the Cavaliers are not expected to entertain any trade offers for their “core four” players.

      Advice: While the team is still searching for a new head coach, there have also been questions regarding constructing the Cavaliers’ roster for next season. There has reportedly been interest in Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen, but according to Fischer, the team has no plans to move anyone. That “core four” includes Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley, with the latter flourishing while Allen was sidelined during the postseason with a rib injury. The fantasy ceilings of Garland, Allen, and Mobley were limited this season, and that likely remains the case in 2024-25 if Cleveland sticks with the same starting lineup.       Advice: Holiday was coming off an impressive 26-point performance in the Game 2 victory, but he couldn't reach double-digit figures in this one -- something that hadn't happened since a 118-94 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on May 9. However, the veteran floor general has shown his experience throughout the series against Dallas, and he remains valuable even when he's not scoring at a high rate.       Advice: Jayson Tatum had a rough showing from the field, so Holiday stepped up offensively and led the Celtics in scoring while also recording solid contributions in other categories, most notably grabbing a playoff-high mark in rebounds. Holiday has surpassed the 20-point mark in just two of his last six playoff appearances, but he compensates for that lack of scoring production with solid contributions in other categories and elite defense.       Advice: With Jayson Tatum struggling from the field, the Celtics needed someone to step up in Game 2. Holiday was that man, as he led the Eastern Conference champions with 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field. This was his first 20-point effort since Game 1 of the conference finals and second of the postseason overall. Also, Holiday recorded his first double-double of these playoffs and a full stat line.
